"This much-loved pub housed in an 18th century building is the apex of the Antic pub group’s shabby chic look, with considerable emphasis on the shabby. Many original fixtures and fittings remain and it’s a fascinating place to grab a pint and a bite — easily one of the best pubs in the area. The beer selection is particularly interesting and weighty sausage rolls are a fine way to soak it all up; larger meals, meanwhile, are best enjoyed from the ‘hearty British’ category. Pork chop or sausage and mash are solid choices, but pasta dishes generally delight, too." - Helen Graves

A great discovery. A really cool bar/restaurant with amazing staff and top class food. Drinks were lovely, wide selection. Really accessible for wheelchair users too, level access, accessible toilet and the staff were so helpful. We'll be back for sure!

"SUNDAY ROASTS ARE HERE" .... they are not. The long-suffering barman tells me of automated emails I should have received, incorrect websites, and understaffing meaning they can't open both floors at once. Instead of a lovely sunday roast, I get a delayed opening and to witness the bartender telling a stream of people they can't have the roast they booked for. They leave and, I assume, go to wetherspoons across the road. I eat my burger (and crisps?!? £12) and have a pint - it is fine.

CCC has today launched Sunday Roast - finally! I went to check it out with a friend and her son. We were not disappointed! The food was absolutely yummy! Perfectly cooked beef, red cabbage was something else - a bit sweet taste with a zingy finish - perfect! Veg not overcooked, nice gravy. And the portions are very generous. I’ll be definitely coming back! The boy has a cheeseburger + fries which were also great. I definitely recommend it, specially as the prices are very fair.

The Cumberland sausage & mash was absolutely delicious & good portion size too. Although it took around 20mins to come out, it was worth the wait. Would come again with friends and family

Sensational! I will admit I’m a bit of a roast dinner snob, and this place has to be one of the BEST places for a roast. Each veggie was seasoned differently to perfection, potatoes were crispy, meat was done very well and it was all SO good! Very good value for money! Hats off to the chef! The staff are friendly and super attentive too. Only thing I would say for feedback - bit more gravy - personal preference of liking my roast drowning in gravy, and the food could have done with being a bit hotter. But I would 100% come back again

Unfortunately we were disappointed with our experience at the Constitutional. We walked in for a Sunday roast and the pub was pretty much empty. The roast was clearly microwaved and served to us still quite cold. We were not offered any salt and pepper or condiments, and the vegetables lacked flavour. The gravy was lumpy, the roast potatoes were flavourless and mushy and the Yorkshire pudding was hard and dry. Staff was also not very attentive, and both food and drinks were overpriced.

As recent new residents to Catford, we’re tried several pubs available around, which are actually good. However, the newly opened, or newly reopened Catford Constitutional to old residents, is a fantastic addition to our area. Great main street location, spacious bar design with plenty of beers on tap, and now even a newly opened kitchen. We just had a proper tasty Sunday roast followed by a delicious sticky toffee pudd. Also, must mention the attentive front of house staff, top notch!! Very happy with our new local!

A nice addition to the area. Good selection of drinks, but I find the cask offerings very inconsistent in quality, and I wonder if the cellaring needs some attention. Only tried the cumberland sausage for food, which was nice and a decent portion.
