They weren’t playing around with their fried chicken 🍗🤤. First time trying Honduran Food and it didn’t disappoint. Hope you check them out! Staff was super friendly and answered my questions about what’s the most popular dish there. The vibes were great, there were two tv’s showing soccer and a group gathered there and it got lively! Loved it; seeing people enjoy good food and having a great time. What I got: POLLO FRITO CON TAJADAS - Fried Chicken, Fried Green Banana, Cabbage, Chimol, Tomato Sauce, Dressing, and Pickled Onions BALEADA ESPECIAL - Fried beans, Cheese, Sour Cream, Scrambled Eggs, and Avocado EMPANADA MIXTA - Cheese, Ground Pork, Tamato Sauce, Cabbage, and Pickled onions The fried chicken was wild; the size of my head and super tender. You saw that it came right off the bone when I took that bite 😹🤤. I didn’t grow up eating plantains but the way they made it and sauced it up, I was like, this is a healthy version of In & Out fries 😍. A solid item for $20, def recommend! The Special Baleada was like a breakfast tortilla wrap, super light and fluffy, def a yummy breakfast item. Empanada was solid 🥰 and would be a great snack on the go. - Ig@blacktigereats

Giving this place some love because they don't have many reviews. I stopped in for lunch while I was in the area for jury duty. Panuchos are one of my favorite dishes so I ordered a panucho with carne asada and a baleada con chorizo because I've never tried baleadas. Both were delicious with a lot of flavor. The hot sauce on the table had quite a kick and was the perfect complement to both dishes. The staff were very friendly and patient while I was trying to figure out what to order. They had two tv's with a soccer game on. I would definitely go out of my way to go back.

The food tasted really good, unfortunately the portion was so small, they just give you few tajadas, for the price I paid I think it’s expensive, I have bought the same for less in other places and with a reasonable portion of food. I had Pollo con tajadas and Carne Asada. If you see the pictures you won’t even see the tajadas.

Very great food! Family run restaurant with great vibes. They have a television for things to watch and I like their menu. I’ve come here many times now. Sometimes for quick fries and tacos on the go, and when I want the meal I’ve had great experiences with their chicken dishes. It’s a must have if you’re looking to try new dishes!!!

Definitely a different kind of Mexican cuisine. Was working in the area late and decided to try this place out. Ordered the panuchos and they’re way better than tacos. The wait was worth it since everything was made to order. I will definitely be back.

Next level tacos. Some of the best I have had in the city for sure and I eat a lot of tacos. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already.

Google
This business is signed up for an app to store luggage, and act like its not their problem when you ask them a simple question. We came in 2 weeks ago and there was a woman just sitting at the front who told us "it's not my problem, you can get the *** out" after we tried explaining to her that her business is literally signed up for a service! Do NOT come here, the whole area looks trashy!

I had takeaway. I ordered two panuchos. One carne asada. One chicken. They are both good. The carne asada is a little salty. I didnt need to add salsa or anything to them. They are good! I ordered a side of beans, also good. Lastly, i ordered a carne asada taco. The homemade corn tortilla is delicious. I did not like the toppings on the taco though. I would order from here again minus the taco.

Yelp
4.5 STARS Opening a new resto in the city is crazy. Opening a resto in the 'loin (TL) is even crazier and takes some gigantic balls. And, Catrachita Yucateca did it in the span of one month which is unheard of in the city. Mad props. Opening in early September 2024, Catrachita Yucateca took over Lapats Thai Noodles Bar (closed August 2024). They're open for takeout, delivery, and indoor dining. M E N U Mix of Honduran Cuisine (baleadas, sopa de frijoles, pollo con tajadas, etc.) and Yucatán Cuisine (salbutes, panuchos, cochinita, poc-chuc, etc.). English translations on the menu were a little off. Beer available. F O O D * Baleada Especial w/ fried beans, cheese, egg, avocado, sour cream ($6.99) // 4.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/c9spuu4n My goal is to try every baleada in the city (think a large Honduran soft taco) and this is right up there with my favs in The Mission/Outer Mission area. The handmade, griddled flour tortilla was thick, soft and chewy with a nice elasticity. Filled with creamy mashed beans, soft scrambled eggs, sprinkle of queso duro, a sliver of avocado, and creamy crema. Savory and deliciously satisfying. Their housemade habanero-jalapeno hot sauce packed a fiery tangy punch. * Poc-Chuc: Pork soaked in "beer" overnight, black beans, cabbage, and avocado ($18.95) // 4 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/53ab522v A signature dish of Yucatán, poc-choc is citrus marinated grilled pork (I think the english translation was off on the menu). The thin slices of pork was a tad dry but had a good smoky flavor and citrus tang. I really the crispy charred edges. Served with a side of creamy frijoles (black beans), tender rice, mild salsa martajada, slaw, and pickled onions. Three handmade corn tortillas were also included (thick, soft, and chewy). S E R V I C E Awkward start but the chef who brought out my order was very kind and gracious. I was the only diner at the time (weekday lunch) and my order took about 10-15 minutes. A M B I A N C E Low key with faux plants and TV playing american football. Seating for about 30 people. P A R K I N G Metered street parking. Overall, solid Honduran and Yucatán food in the TL, and they're the only place that serves Honduran food in the area. If you're looking for something new to try other than the usual Viet and Thai restos in the TL, give this new business a try!

Yelp
Amazing food! We came here for the baleadas, which is our favorite Honduran food. We saw the variety of dishes in their menu and decided to try the "Salbut de Cochinita de Pibil (pork)" and the "Panuchos de Carne Asada", which is their version of tacos, and it was truly exquisite! Their flan is a must! The place is aesthetic and very clean. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. Our visit was a great experience and this will easily be one of our favorite places in San Francisco.

Yelp
A friend called if I was hungry and grab something. We walked a couple of blocks and we thought we were walking into a Thai place, but, even better a new 20-day-old Mexican Restaurant! Specially Yucatán Restaurant. We tried a little of everything and it was all wonderful. The side of rice was perfect and the tacos were delicious. My friend had the seafood dinner and added the rice because it was so good. The restaurant was open and welcoming, the music did not overpower the conversation and the waitress was friendly and respectful checked on us but didn't hover. I will go back again. My only request I would love a Margarita! Worth a visit...

Yelp
Really fresh food, service, ambience, and options. Many drink options including coffee. New and intimate/cozy. Only been here once.

Yelp
This couple open up a restaurant in the tenderloin that is a mix of Hund, Aaron and Yucateca cuisine. She's from Honduras he's Mexican and the food they make is very homestyle, authentic and Filling. The meats are prepared perfectly with the rice seasonings, and you could still taste the natural flavors of the meat and it's not overpowered by any spices. They have different levels of spices that you could choose from. Please make sure to check before using them there is one that is Hot. Tortillas are made right there and all the breakfast ladders are large portions. Not to mention the meals are also large portions although they appear expensive. It is totally worth it. You'll have leftovers regardless the size of your appetite. I tried the carnitas baleada and it was amazing. So was the chicken panucho

Yelp
Delicious food prepared by husband and wife co-owners. Everything was delicious - especially the plate of carne asada, camarones & green bananas!, rice & beans & salad with avocado.

Yelp
First things first, the service is phenomenal. Everyone there was smiling and treated me well. The food came out in a timely manner. The food was delicious as well. Well seasoned. Reminded me of Honduras honestly. Great location as well. I tried a "Panucho" which is a common dish from Yucatán, Mexico. It was really good. The "Pollo con tajadas" was good as well.
