"Open for more than 25 years, “Cats” is a Finsbury Park legend. While the set menus provide an easy primer to this brand of Thai food, it’s better to take a dive into the main menu. Dishes come in differing levels of spice, with the hottest not recommended to anyone but true chilli savants. This is hidden halal Thai food restaurant in the heart of Finsbury Park. No signs saying meat is halal, so phoned up and it turns out chicken and beef are both halal. Food was really tasty and good portion sizes. Only downside was the slow service. Loved the selection of ‘60’s, ‘70’s & ‘80’s music as I’m over 50 and could appreciate the songs. Will return soon.

Found this lovely Thai restaurant around Finsbury park while looking for a place to warm. Was very cozy inside and ate until I was so full 🤤 will keep this on my tab as my regular Thai food place now. Authentic dishes for sure 😊

Great location, close to Finsbury Park. Authentic decor with wooden table and chairs and lots of Thai decorations. Service was wonderful. We had someone with a food allergy and the staff were extremely attentive with this. We shared a mixed starter, then I had the beef randang and king prawn Pad Thai noodles, we also ordered Veggie Green curry with coconut rice and fried fish with chilli too. All dishes were tasty and full of flavour. Overall it was a very enjoyable meal. Toilets were at the far back of the restaurant, disabled access too. Would definitely visit again.

My Wife and I ate here after initially being drawn in by the name and cat decor (my wife is a crazy cat lady - her words) and our love of Thai food. Really nicely decorated on the inside, with lots of uniquely looking furniture, table tops decorated with world currency and an open fire! We had a couple of cocktails followed by set menul C, which had a good variety of dishes and was really good value for money, especially considering it also includes a drink (we opted for glasses of wine). The food and the cocktails were very good, and other dishes that went past our table also looked and smelt really tasty. Don't worry if it looks busy from the street, the restaurant goes quite far back, with additional seating at the rear, so it's worth asking if there's a table available.

Love this place! Have been a few times and had delicious take-away from here too, but most recently to have a meal with my cousins from Australia.. and as a bonus we were able watch the Euros final in a friendly atmosphere! We had a great time! Great food, friendly service and staff , lovely atmosphere and decor! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place to eat, friendly atmosphere, and delicious Thai food in Finsbury Park 😄👌

Had a such a lovely and fun time at the Cats Cafe Thai Restaurant! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and were really patient and accommodating when we wanted to change tables to be in a warmer spot. The set menus are really good value, and we opted for set menu C which comes with the sharing platter starter, veggie pad Thai, beef massaman curry, a seafood dish, a chicken dish, and rice. It was all delicious and full of flavour and fresh vegetables. Good range of drinks including Singha beer on draught.

Great little place for lunch or dinner run by Thai people who clearly know how to do proper dishes from this part of the world. Friendly staff, interesting decoration, and good value for money. Only let down was calamari- really chewy. Will be back when around.
