SoCal’s Popular Cauldron Ice Cream Now Serving Puffle Cones in San Jose - Eater SF

"Cauldron Ice Cream, an Orange County-based ice cream sensation, has opened in San Jose, bringing its 'OG' stateside 'puffle cones' to the Bay Area. The shop is known for its liquid nitrogen-churned ice cream formed into the shape of a rose and balanced atop a puffle cone, creating an Instagram-friendly treat. Flavors change monthly, with current options including Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, the Dole whip-inspired 'pineapple express,' and 'sun, moon and stars,' a blend of oolong, jasmine, and green tea. The San Jose location has been in soft opening mode, with the grand opening scheduled for Saturday, May 18." - Ellen Fort

Google
5 stars, love this spot. Very knowledgeable staff, super great ice cream. The team is beyond friendly. We were particularly impressed with the level of knowledge of the ice cream making process.

Google
I was torn between old fashioned vanilla and cookies and cream for my milkshake flavor, so I settled on vanilla with oreo toppings. The kind lady working the register let me know the cookies n cream uses the same vanilla, both getting me exactly what I wanted, and saving me a dollar. Thank you for the delicious ice cream =D Also this milkshake tastes incredible

I recently visited Cauldron Ice Cream in San Jose, and it was definitely a unique experience. The preparation process for the ice cream is unlike anything I've seen before – they make it fresh using liquid nitrogen, which creates this cool, smoky effect as they mix everything together. It's fun to watch, but it can take some time for them to prepare your order, so be prepared to wait a little longer than usual. The ice cream itself is delicious, but a bit on the pricier side. I was hoping to try their famous puffle (a kind of waffle cone), but unfortunately, they were out of it during my visit, which was a bummer. Even though I didn't get to try the puffle, the experience of watching them make the ice cream and trying the different flavors was still cool. That said, the staff wasn't particularly friendly. I was hoping for a warmer, more welcoming vibe, but they seemed a bit rushed and distant. Overall, though, the unique ice cream-making process and the flavors make Cauldron Ice Cream worth checking out, even if the service could use a little improvement.

Google
The place is clean, ordering is fast and efficient, and the food is presented beautifully. The workers are quick at preparing the food, and the overall vibe is great. I ordered the salted caramel on a puffle, but my issue was that the only salt came from the two pretzels on top. The caramel was just on the surface of the flower-shaped, tasteless ice cream. Once I removed the pretzels and the small drops of caramel sauce, there was no real flavor—it felt like a blended ice cream reshaped into a decorative flower by the worker. It felt like a waste of money because I was there for the taste. At $12, I barely enjoyed it. I wish I could get a refund.

Google
Food: We got the earl gray lavender flavor with original puffles. We got the ice cream regular hardness and it’s very creamy and flavorful! The puffles is not chewy as expected like a mochi but it still tastes good. Would definitely want to come again and try more flavors! Service: the owner/staff is very welcoming and helpful. My friend wanted a softer texture so he made it that way and he also came and check out whether it’s good for him and Ben offer to make it again if he’d like it a harder texture. Haven’t seen people who enjoy the job and being so attentive for a long time! Ambiance: bright and casual. Good hangout place with friends!

Google
Great ice cream! Very yummy and they even let me have a sample of the chocolate... shh... don't tell. H2O Rose was light and floral. Great flavor.

Google
Smooth and vibrant ice cream, served with theatrics and flavour to match! I’ve been here a few times - less so recently with their odd opening hours and not being open on weekday lunch time, however, the quality of the ice cream is always top notch. The ice cream is made in front of you from the base cream/juice and frozen with liquid nitrogen in a mixer which not only looks great, but creates a super smooth ice cream from the small crystals. This time I had the pineapple ice cream with a puffle (puffed waffle) Well worth a visit.

Google
We keep coming back for Rose ice cream. Edited—We came after many weeks. The rose ice cream had no rose flavor. Smelt like it was in fridge for many days. The waffle cone was crispy and good like always. 21$ was a rip off.

Yelp
Excellent ice cream! Great customer service! Very fun watching the ice cream getting made. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
A Sweet Discovery Just Around the Corner! I'm thrilled to have finally tried this adorable ice cream spot, just a 2-mile stroll from my home! We ordered waffle cones in two flavors: Double Shot Chocolate: As a dark chocolate lover, I was excited to try this rich, extra-dark Dutch chocolate. However, even for my taste buds, it was a bit bitter than I would have liked in the medium size. I'm thinking it might be more balanced in a smaller size, so I'll try that next time! H2O Rose: A unique, delicate floral flavor with rose sugar garnish. The taste was delightful, but I found the parts with sugar garnish a tad too sweet. However, my husband and 4-year-old were absolutely smitten with it - it was a clear winner with them! The ice cream making process was mesmerizing, especially the nitrogen infusion. And, I loved the elegant touch of the default rose-shaped presentation - it added to the overall charm! Service was lightning-fast - we waited only 5 minutes for our order. The kiosk ordering system is straightforward, and the ambiance is super cool, making it a great spot for Instagram-worthy shots! Next time, we're excited to try the original puffle instead of the waffle cone - can't wait to see how it compares! We'll definitely be back for more!

Yelp
This place has a big enough parking lot. On the inside there are a few tables and counter seating available. The menu is displayed and you pick your options, flavor(s) and topping(s). The ice cream making process under nitrogen is cool to watch. Presentation is the Rose is pretty too. I enjoyed a small Vietnamese Coffee Ice Cream, it was creamy and yum! As for the price, it's a bit on the pricey side, minus 1 star. Will I be back? Maybe, just not too often.

Yelp
Came on a busy Saturday evening to try their seasonal flavor, Ube in the original puffle. The ice cream is creamy and rich, but not overly sweet. The nitrogen ice cream making process offers a fun show to watch as you wait. The fun flavor combinations like Sun, Moon & Stars with the aesthetically pleasing rose shaped ice cream make it a worthwhile stop for dessert.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
Pretty mid, the flavors just aren't really there, also not very creamy per se, it's hard to explain. They don't give samples since they "make" the ice cream to order, but that's always a huge red flag for me when I go to a place and I wish I had remembered that here. The ice cream is like one of those nitrogen places, but it's more gimmick than craft. The ambiance is okay, but if you're looking for a good ice cream you should go elsewhere.
google avatar

Nohemy C.

Yelp
The ice cream is on the pricier side but the nitrogen method of making it and prepping leads to a super creamy treat. It has the consistency of Italian gelato but the creamy texture of a well blended milkshake. Their small is $7.99 and two scoops. We would have been fine with just one for my kid and husband so we had to take half of each one home and freeze it. The service was prompt and they take their time to prepare it and make their signature rose shape. It is in a busy shopping center but you eventually find parking. Inside, it looks like a chemist lab in a fun way.
google avatar

Yelp
People there don't care about their jobs and it showed. We went there in the evening and got 3 cups of ice cream, smores, earl grey and mint chocolate. They used to be amazing and I just find it very lackluster now. They ran out of puffles - first I've heard happening - we should've left because the people who were working didn't even say hello or were friendly at all. The ice cream was still pretty good - but I could've gone somewhere nicer with friendlier staff - or just bought ice cream on my own. It wasn't very clean at the tables - it looks like they didn't even bother straightening up (even though it was empty) and didn't really clean. The music was good but very loud.

Yelp
I'm so out of it that I didn't even know we had a Cauldron Ice Cream in the South Bay area. I've only ever had it when I'm in Los Angeles with my family so it was a pleasant surprise when I was searching for desserts on Yelp and this place popped up. The shop is located in a plaza along with Homegoods and Ross so parking is abundant and free. The shop itself is inconspicuous as there's no giant neon sign flashing their name above the business so you'll have to keep your eyes peeled for it. My family and I came through on a Saturday night and we were the only ones there so we had ample time to look through the menu. They can take your order via the register or you use the self-order kiosk. I appreciated the staff's patience as my family took their time to think through and order what they want. Overall, the bubble waffle isn't as good as Eggettes and the ice cream was impressive to watch as they make it right in front of you. The flavor was lso okay, although nothing to brag about despite their different combinations available.

Yelp
I finally got to try Cauldron Ice Cream, and it was an unforgettable experience! Their famous puffle with Earl Gray Lavender ice cream was a perfect blend of floral and creamy goodness--so unique and absolutely delicious. I also tried the puffle with Sea Salt Caramel Crunch, and the sweet-salty combo was out of this world! Cauldron's nitrogen ice-cream swirls are pure magic--where creativity truly meets deliciousness. The puffle cones are soft and warm, a perfect match for their rich and flavorful ice creams. The ambiance is beautiful, with aesthetic interiors perfect for those Insta-worthy shots. And the sweet, welcoming staff made the experience even better. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors! Highly recommend for any ice cream lover!

Yelp
My partner and I decided to grab dessert for our 5 year anni and we have driven past Cauldron sooo frequently, but have never tried it. We arrived around 7pm and it was pretty busy! There weren't any seats available aside from outside and there was a family in front of us, but after we ordered several became available. The ordering process was easy enough--there was a large screen where you could pick what you would like. It seems that there's a number/name system they operate by--they call out a number and then a name. We ordered a churro puffle, a S'more milkshake with marshmallow puff topping (+$1) and a Sun Moon & Stars milkshake with a shot of espresso added. While waiting for our order we were given a free puffle! Our drinks were phenomenal, watching my order being made was an awesome experience because everything is truly made fresh to order, my only critique was regarding the churro puffle, I'd love the for cinnamon sugar to be evenly distributed throughout the puffle rather than sprinkled on top.

Yelp
Kinda like smitten at Santana row where they make the ice cream fresh with liquid nitrogen but much better. Expensive but they give a serving size that matches the price point. I really liked all of the flavors we tried which were cookies and cream, like, milk and cereal (the best one) and sea salted caramel crunch. I will say the sea salted caramel crunch had large chunk of sea salt in it so it was a little shocking and my least favorite.
google avatar

Francis T.

Yelp
I come here and there. Their ice cream is pretty good. Ngl it can be a little overwhelming with how sweet it is. I don't really remember much in terms of vibes there. It has a good amount of seating and service was good. I really like the flavor I tired this time with Sun Moon and Stars being a p unique flavor.

Yelp
Why are all the cute desserts always in San Jose?! Wanted to see if these ice cream shaped like a rose tasted as good as it looks and yes it does! I went when it was hot so of course there was a line but worth the wait. There's room for a few people to sit and eat but we chose to stay outside where there were also tables and chairs.
google avatar

Sandy Y.

Yelp
Came across this place after looking for something sweet. This place makes nitrogen ice cream and you can see the entire process in front of you. Just be prepared there could be a wait if there other customers ahead of you. Their ice cream is creamy and yummy. Pretty cool experience.

Yelp
Yum! Have heard much and been meaning to try myself. Had time after a hike with the wife to stop by so we did. The location is in a mall with plenty of parking. Seems to be oriented toward Asian immigrants. It's a cozy space inside with a little seating and lots of hoses and mixers for making the ice cream. They have a set number of flavors, which I am sure. They. Very. We ordered the rosewater and the vanilla flavors. Each in a cup. Takes a little while to make, but you can watch them doing so much like you can at Scream in SF or RocKo's in Santa Clara. They take the extra step with the ice cream in a cup to poke it with the scoop so that it looks like a rose as you can see in the pictures. The nitrogen makes for a very smooth and creamy ice cream that is unique. Both flavors are very good, but I really like the rosewater. That's a flavor. You don't see very often. We live some distance away, but when next in the neighborhood we will definitely be back. I even have a location reminder on my phone now :-)

Yelp
Tried this place with some coworkers for a meeting & we loved it! I tried the milk & cereal puffle and it was delicious! Just have to eat a little fast as the ice cream starts to melt. The presentation is super cute too. My coworkers had the Vietnamese coffee ice cream & the iced coffee, and they both said they loved it! Service was a little bit slow but there was only one person working so she was doing her best to keep up. Parking is in a plaza which can get busy sometimes but usually you can find something pretty fast. They have a few tables inside & outside so you can sit and enjoy or take it to go. Would recommend !

Yelp
Cauldron is located in a great shopping center with plenty of restaurants around and stores such as ulta, ross , And home goods . There is plenty of parking!! Inside Cauldrons it is small but cozy with a few chairs and tables to enjoy your ice cream. One unique thing about this place theh have Gluten-free options. I order the Old Fashion Vanilla in the size small which was more than enough. It was perfectly balance and not too sweet , I also tried the Mint Chocolate Chip which was good as well , but a little sweeter compared to the old fashion vanilla. The staff was welcoming and answer any questions I had , they did a great job shaping the ice cream like a rose . You also have the option of adding topping, but each is an extra 50 cents , they also have ice and hot drinks .
google avatar

Clarizza A.

Yelp
I got The Cauldron which tasted good. You can really taste the cinnamon in the ice cream. This gets messy to eat quick so have napkins on hand. Towards the end I only had the puffle left which wasn't as good lol. Main reason for the 3-star is the price. I paid $12 for maybe a scoop and a half of ice cream and a little pastry and to me that just isn't worth it. Nothing else was wrong with this place--the workers seemed nice, the ice cream itself was good. Just too pricey imo
google avatar

Yelp
Cauldron is a nice local spot to grab ice cream with quick service. The flavors are really vibrant, but it's a little on the pricier side with very little space to sit down. Icecream: 3/5 Our favorites are the ear grey lavender and the sun moon and stars. The tea flavors really do pop out, you just don't get a whole lot for the price. For examle, the sun moon and stars in a cup was almost $9. But it is kind of fun to watch the workers make the icecream in front of you with the nitrogen. The rose petal shape was done nicely for some, but there are times closer to closing when the workers get lazy and it's not very clean looking. But, I'm there for the icecream, so regardless of how nice it looks, I'm just glad it at least tastes good. Service: 4/5 I personally haven't had any issues with the workers I've encountered, but I've heard from others that they were not kind during the closing shift. And based on some of the reviews I've read on here, I guess it does happen. But, the ones that were working last week during closing were nice and didn't outwardly say anything negative about us or the others after us coming in towards closing. Space: 3/5 It's really small with not a lot of seating, so it's more of a spot for a grab n go type vibe. When we walked in, it wasn't too crowded but 5min later a bunch walked in. So it was a little crowded to the point it was hard to walk through the groups of people waiting in line to either order or pick up their icecream.

Yelp
We happened upon Cauldron Ice Cream on accident, and what a happy accident it was. Upon sharing we had never been in before, Mike was eager to ask us questions about our usual go-to ice cream flavors and ultimately recommended the perfect combinations for myself and my husband. The ice cream was delicious and the addition of the puffle was really unique and tasty as well. Wishing we lived closer to come back and visit more frequently!! Highly recommend to those visiting the area but especially to those who live in the community.
google avatar

Briana V.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this location and the ice cream was very creamy. I got the s'mores scoop and loved the concept of freeze drying the ice cream and using the ice cream scooper to make a rose indentation. That was awesome to watch. To order it was a self service kiosk and was just a little bit of a wait but well worth it. I recommend giving them a try if you are considering ice cream.
google avatar

Kelly N.

Yelp
ice cream is good and stays cold but avoid coming close to closing. we came on a tuesday at 9:30 and they already turned off their puffle machine. since we ordered on the kiosk, they offered to change our item to something else to match the cost, but they ran out of the 2 toppings we wanted :( service was accommodating given the time we came, but it felt like a huge bummer considering i love a late night ice cream
google avatar

Joanne D.

Yelp
The jasmine tea (sun star moon) has 0 jasmine milk tea flavor! It just tastes like milk and sugar. 1/5 I recommend the earl grey lavender, the flavor is great! 5/5 (note it comes with honey drizzle cuz i didn't know this). The service was pretty good. It wasn't crowded when I went.
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
Ice cream was a 6.5/10 and service was 7/10! I remember this place used to be really packed when they first opened, but now the hype has died down. I don't think the quality went down, but visually I feel like it has. Nothing really stood out for me besides how they make it. I got the Earl Grey Lavender ice cream in a cup. I thought it was really creamy and sweet. I think initially it tasted really good, but after a couple of bites, it kind of got tiring. I recommend sharing it if you don't have that big of a sweet tooth. The service was nothing out of the ordinary. They quickly made the ice cream and apologized for the wait. There wasn't a big wait time and I'm pretty patient so it's okay!
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
I usually hate specialty ice cream because they overcharge and the product is usually bad or overrated. This place was fantastic. I was overwhelmed by the choices and flavors and the owner actually came over to recommend flavors to me. The ice cream tasted amazing(I had the cauldron flavor) and I got it in the puffle which tasted amazing. The owner even came over later to check on us to see how we liked it. Great experience, highly recommend anyone looking for a tasty treat and great service to come here.
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
under new ownership. the old owners seemed to never be around but the new ownership is very hands on and concerned with quality. lots of great flavors that you aren't gonna find at cold stone and certainly not baskin robbins or the grocery store. flavors like vietnamese coffee, which is amazing. of course there is the visual show of the liquid nitrogen flash freezing the cream and making it into dessert but the real proof is in the flavor and it is sweet without all the preservatives and additives they throw into ice cream to make it that way. would definitely come here again. at this location there are lots of other businesses and food places so i imagine they will do very well in spring and especially summer. will repeat every time i am in the bay area.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Good ice cream. The service was good. They seem a bit short staffed but my wait wasn't too long. There's a tiny amount of seating but the space seems too cramped to stay and eat. There are also a couple outdoor tables. Large parking lot.

Yelp
Second time visiting this location of Cauldron and it's been YEARS since the last visit (i think 2019 lol). One of the major differences is definitely the price but that's to be expected since it's been 5 years already lol. The place looks the same with the only difference of it now having a self-ordering kiosk. I ordered a s'mores creation on a puffle which totaled to $12.02 (w/tax). Pretty pricey for ice cream but I guess it's no ordinary scoop of ice cream (it's rose shaped ;) ). The taste was pretty good, nothing too special. I loved the addition of the graham cracker with the torched marshmallow. Definitely a nice touch. Service was fairly quick and staff members were nice and respectful. Overall, a pretty standard place to get dessert after dinner or lunch. One thing I wished they do is change the consistency of the puffle to more of a mochi puffle rather than the very bready batter they use.
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
This place was amazing as a treat since they cost $13 per puffle with ice cream. I love a good creamy vanilla ice cream and their old fashioned vanilla is so creamy and delicious, it's hard for me to try a different flavor but I have. I've had the cauldron (vanilla with cinnamon and Oreo), the classic strawberry, and the Vietnamese coffee which were all fine but I prefer the vanilla. I also prefer the classic rainbow sprinkles they used to have. Before, they had long cylindrical shaped ones but now they have the new sprinkles that are just crunchy little balls. This was my first time here in a few weeks and this change felt significant to me. I fully acknowledge that my latest picture is not when I first got it and makes it look worse than it did initially but the thing was covered in sprinkles and you couldn't even see the rose shaped ice cream so I don't think it made much of a difference. This is a fun place to go and eat ice cream but maybe ask the staff if they've made any changes to your favorite toppings recently (which cost an additional dollar to add btw) Edit: grammar fixes

Yelp
Ice cream was really good. The process of it being made and the presentation in the waffle cone made it worth it. Service was subpar.
google avatar

Phoebe W.

Yelp
First time at Cauldron and really liked the vibes and ice cream! I got a small strawbaby flavor cup which was just strawberry flavor. I thought it was quite flavorful and i enjoyed how they made it rose shaped for free! Would definitely come back
google avatar

Pauline N.

Yelp
My friend said it's been hard to find good ice-cream ever since she tried this yummy mom-and-pop shop in Boston. Cauldron is one of her faves. We ordered the Vanilla Cauldron. The ice-cream was nice and creamy, I'm so glad my friend suggested this place!
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
Came here because it seemed like an aesthetic icecream shop with unique flavors. I liked the Earl grey lavender and Sun moon and stars icecream! Honestly it's pretty good on its own, but if you really want you can add the bubble waffle as well, it tends to get soggy and melts the icecream faster though. I think people should check this place out at least once because the have the nitro icecream which is always cool to see.
google avatar

Sunshinethu ..

Yelp
This was a nice little ice cream place, they make the ice cream in front of you using liquid nitrogen to freeze it and then form it into the shape of a rose. Watching the ice cream being prepared in front of our eyes was a really fun experience. The ice cream was very good too, we tried the vanilla, double chocolate and rose and everyone was satisfied. I deducted a star because when we went, the service was subpar. Laconic and lacking personality, the employees seemed unhappy to be there, which made it a little bit less fun, but who knows, I don't work there, maybe the owner is miserable and it trickles down to the employees. Nevertheless, it is not a happy place, but the ice cream is good!
google avatar

Sophia W.

Yelp
Craved ice cream so Ofc we came to Cauldron! We came in right before closing. Dude was working by himself but still greeted everyone that walked through. Some flavours were out so we got strawberry. SOLID CHOICE. Rose shaped ofc. See you next time!!
google avatar

Angel K.

Yelp
Located inside the Sprouts plaza (directly on the other side of sprouts) is this cute little ice cream spot. Upon entering, you place your order on a tablet, but confusingly you have to pay at the register because the tablet doesn't accept payment. After ordering, your ice cream is whipped up! It was way quicker than I expected so service bumped up my review one star. I figured it'd be gimmicky since they make liquid nitrogen ice cream in the shape of a flower, but I was quite disappointed in the flavor of the ice cream. I ordered the sun moon and stars which was supposed to be tea flavored. I was surprised that it came blue. And even more surprised when I tasted it because it tasted so bland. There was no flavor to it at all, you couldn't really tell what you were eating. The strawberry flavor (called strawbaby) had slightly more flavor to it but was still mild. Ice cream texture was creamy, but the lack of flavor was quite disappointing. For the price it is, I'd rather hit up another ice cream spot that has more flavor and a richer texture. TL;DR: super cute, but pass.
google avatar

Dana C.

Yelp
Came up to get some ice cream and the egg puff to find out they're closed even though the time says they open at 12. They should update their hours online so this doesn't happen to other customers!
google avatar

Rayna T.

Yelp
Delicious unique flavors. Vietnamese coffee was pretty good. Love the decorative scoop. One of my go to spots when i'm craving something sweet.
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised that the small cup size is not that small. As of Aug 2023 it costs about $7. It is actually a good portion. I should have asked if there was a kiddie cup size
google avatar

Tay J.

Yelp
I've been to 2 locations now for Cauldron ice cream I think I like the one in Fremont a little better. When I got my ice cream it was already melting out the side and I had two and we had to wait for my friends to come out by that time it was extra melty haha. The flavors were good we got the sun and moon and the rose water. The process watching them make the ice cream with liquid nitrogen was very cool! And the ice cream tastes much lighter than other brands I've had.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
I remember when this place opened in the brokaw shopping center! I loved that I could get my ice cream rose shaped and there were lots of options for flavors. The service is quick, it's clean, but it's a little small inside so not a great place for a large group. Will be back!
google avatar

Nathaniel K.

Yelp
TLDR: LIQUID NITROGEN GOES BRRRRR Yeah, this place gets 4 stars mainly because they use liquid nitrogen, and it's really cool to see the entire shop fill up with steam. I felt like I was in a mad scientist's laboratory! It feels like a gimmicky place... kinda like Icicles, with their rolled up ice Cream. The price was... a bit high. I wanted the egg waffle, because that's what attracted me to this place. I love me some Egg Waffle! And what's goes better with Egg Waffle on a hot summer day? Nitrogen Ice Cream! Well, to be honest, I didn't know this placed used Nitrogen, until we stepped inside Dexter's Lab. I ordered the milk tea icecream, because that sounded exotic, and hey, it should go together with the HK egg waffle, right? I didn't realize the whole thing costs $10. Whatever, this is probably a one time thing. Think of the high price as including the spectacle! The spectacle of someone putting on goggles, gloves, apron and nitrogening everything! Muwhahahaha! The ice cream itself was creamy and milky. BUUT... i didn't taste any "tea" or "milk tea" flavor. I just tasted... milk? Is that what it is? Ice cream wasn't bad.. just... no flavor. Milk flavor I guess. Egg waffle was good though, crispy on the edges. Where the ice cream sat, it of course was soggy. But using the egg puff as a "spoon" for the ice cream helped prevent any kind of ice cream headache. I also like the free "rose" shape. Although it's just them using a scooper and making indentations all around. Trying it once for $10 is enough for me. It's about the experience! But I wouldn't go just for the ice cream.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down, one of the best ice cream spot in the south bay. Their flavors are unique and it goes well with the warm bubbled waffle. Excellent presentation of the ice cream by carving it to a flower. The staff helps you to choose the flavor by explaining how it tastes and handing out samples. All the ice creams are semi solid state and they will be mixed again and bring it to the solid state before it was served, we can see the process as well. I had the coffee and chocolate flavors with the bubble waffle, I liked the combination and I will definitely try again.

Yelp
Pretty okay for ice cream! I ordered the lavender earl grey ice cream and rose. The flavors were not that strong but the texture was really great. Super dense. More on the standard side for price As far as service goes - we used a little iPad thing to order. Line was pretty long. I didnt like how if you ordered two scoops they had to be the same flavor.

Yelp
Definitely the best nitrogen ice cream I've had! Very creamy and the presentation for the ice cream is solid (got the rose petal shape). Great selection of flavors like smores, earl grey lavender, Vietnamese coffee, etc. Pretty quick service, but it may be a little tough to find a spot to sit since it's a popular spot.

Yelp
Tried this new place with friends and it was an overall great dessert place! I ordered the s'mores with a bubble waffle and it was super pretty. The ice cream was really good and I liked how they made it in front of you. I would say my only critique was that the bubble waffle was really dry and maybe overcooked? Usually bubble waffles are like chewy inside because of the rice flour inside but this one was quite crumbly and dry. I ended up finishing the ice cream and threw away the rest of the waffle. The service was pretty good but one of the girls gave some attitude to my friend when he asked for a napkin. Overall, I like the cool flavors and combinations on the menu! Definitely a cool place to visit for dessert since it's different from the average ice cream place.

Yelp
We came in 20 minutes before closing. Cauldron employee told us that they will not be taking our order because "we got a lot of people in front of you guys." We decided to leave. Someone walked in after us and their order was taken. Not much left to say. If you close 20 minutes before closing you can always just put a sign there so no one has to waste their time. I can understand 5-10 minutes but 15-20 come on man. Customer service took a big hit tonight at Cauldron.

Yelp
In this small plaza, there are plenty of places where you can park. This is a popular spot for young people to visit so it can get really crowded. The inside is really cool. There are neon lights and the bathrooms are clean. It could get some new rolls because whenever I visited this place and the bathroom, they keep running out of toilet paper. I ordered the medium size mint chocolate chip ice cream in the shape of the rose. The rose is pretty. The mint flavour was fantastic; although, I think it could use some more chocolate chips. I think there was only one or two pieces of chocolate chip in the entire ice cream I ate. I would love to try a different flavour though.
