This is the Chilpotle for Mediterranean goods. So many options and so many good flavors. Our favorite protein is the chicken and the lamb balls.

Ms. Jenny always makes my experience at Cava a memorable one. I have been going to her location for about 3 years now and can honestly say it is the best service in town. Everyone who works there is extremely hard working and kind. I truly love getting lunch at Cava in DuPont. Last week she gifted me a soccer jersey from El Salvador as shown below :).

Google
Generous portions and super satisfying! The bowls are big and packed with flavor. I especially loved the pita crisps perfectly crunchy and a great touch. I’ll definitely be coming back

Google
The team at Cava on Connecticut Ave is inviting and encouraging. They welcome the people and work at a dizzying pace to reward each and every guest. The day to day employees make this establishment 10 star truly. From the prep cook (Dino) to the cashiers ( Maria and Jenny). They excel at service and customers benefit. The food is excellent and the personalities are genuine from all the crew the line runs fast and timely with leaders like ( Kat and Gigi) to keep the food coming and the smiles ample. This Cava is phenomenal!!

Google
Visited here twice during a short visit because it was so good the first time. It’s amazing how customisable it is and it can even be a bit overwhelming. The shoug sauce is so good! My favourite thing there. The rice and chicken are also favourites. I think it was tricky to get the portions right, I only got a teaspoon of some of them but I think if I had said something they might have given extra. It’s a popular place so there’s probably a line most lunchtimes!

Google
Absolutely the best food in roslyn. Most importantly the staff here is extremely attentive to everyone that comes in. They manage hundreds of people during lunch time and the food is always good and fresh

Google
Love this chain, fast, healthy, and fresh. Wish they were on the West coast

Google
they are always nice and professional. And the food is always good at this location

Yelp
I love CAVA!!! This location can be super busy depending when you come. I order online and pick up for faster service. Customer service always nice , food is great. Reasonably priced. I just wish they give you a bigger serving. Chipotle I get more but hey that's jus me being picky lol
google avatar

Yelp
Came to order a bowl, asked for Arugula on the side because I didn't want it to wilt and was told I couldn't. When I asked why, the "manager" said we can only do two bowls. Then, she act as though she didn't understand English and refused to accommodate my request. I love CAVA, but I will not be returning to this one.
google avatar

Carlton M.

Yelp
Pretty decent. Standard cava. Quick seven e. Facilities were clean enough. Would come again.
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
One of the best fast casual restaurants. The food is always amazing. This location is good and has indoor and outdoor dining.

Yelp
Came back from a long trip last night and first thing I wanted to do today was have cava for lunch in this specific location lol it was absolutely delicious the staff already know me and the manager was happy to see me back makes me feel special it was like a treat for my self I am absolutely obsessed with lamb meatball and Greek vinaigrette

Yelp
Pickup mix-up. I ordered lunch for my team for pickup. When we opened up our meals back at the office, there was a mistake with virtually every order. Salads had the wrong greens, they put in white rice instead of the lentils ordered and there was none of the pita bread supposed to have been included with our meals. Very disappointing. So much for giving Cava a try for group orders. I hate leaving anything less than a sterling review but hopefully this will encourage Cava to get their act together.

Yelp
Came out to cava for lunch with a coworker and it hit the spot. The location had plenty of people but the service was quick and efficient. I built my own bowl with veggies and brown rice mix as the base. I chose the lamb and the falafel as my protein. And topped it with most of those delicious veggie options (tomatoes, cucumber, pickled onions and more). I also chose the regular hummus and the eggplant mix as my options too. I have come to this location twice and would def come back to this location. The lively lunch atmosphere was also fun if you enjoy that.

Yelp
Delicious, convenient, with lots of seating, and friendly staff! Also, it's kid-friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite.
google avatar

Marquett K.

Yelp
The food is fresh l. The service is average. The ambiance is average of a take out. I loved this place when i was visiting last year and decided to return.
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
Very delicious fast casual Mediterranean food! Expensive but enough food for a couple meals. Decor is sparse and staff are not very attentive, but the food speaks for itself!

Nicky R.

Yelp
I brought my entire volleyball team for dinner and they were super fast and the food was great! Beautiful location

Alf L.

Yelp
Don't order online or through app. They will cheat you out of half a bowl. Is the bowl half empty or half full? Doesn't matter CAVA charged full price for half a portion.
google avatar

Travis W.

Yelp
We came here in a pinch after scrambling around during the evening. We thought that the bowls were fine but there's really not much to them given the price you end up paying. You're probably better off with chipotle. Travis' Rating Taste - 2.5 Quality - 1.5 Ambiance - 2 Overall - 2 Isabel's Rating Taste - 2.5 Quality - 1 Ambiance - 2 Overall - 1.5

Yelp
As I was seeing a friend off to her home in California yesterday, we went to Cava at Union Station for dinner. While things have changed drastically at the Station, the staff at Cava have remained friendly and courteous, responsive and helpful -- and the food is consistently good. It's a bit sad to see the station being so bare (especially the lobby), but Cava and its staff and some of the other restaurants make up for it

Yelp
I was visiting DC for the night and knew that Cava was close to my hotel so there was no way I wasn't going to make my way there... I LOVE CAVA!!!!! I usually scarf my food down so fast that I never get a chance to take a picture. So I made sure to take 1 today.. I got the grain bowl with brown rice, chicken, tzatziki sauce, olives, cabbage, cucumbers and tomatoes with lemon tahini sauce on top. It was soooo good!!!!! I almost went back for another plate.. I hate that Ga doesn't have this restaurant because I would be here every week.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent staff, very good service, excellent food, asked Fermina for a recommendation and she was a very excellent on suggesting and serving the food. The food was very fresh, I loved both the service and the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. You guys are making the difference on both the food and excellence on your service. I had visited other Cava locations but here I could feel that I was very welcomed. I can't wait to go back for another bite @ Cava.
google avatar

Mara S.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY disgusting food!!! They forgot 1/2 of my order and didn't include utensils or a straw. No one returned the two voicemails that I left. Thankfully Uber eats issued me a refund.
google avatar

Tyrell M.

Yelp
I heard so many reviews about Cava but I must admit the food is definitely on point I love the atmosphere even though this is my first time I would go back again and it wasn't busy on a Friday around noon
google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
They ran out of lots of ingredients by 6 PM on a weekday. The roasted vegetables were all charred and black. Very disappointing experience here

Yelp
Heathy Never Tasted So Good! I visited Cava (Dupont Circle) first time 9/28/19. Seeking a quick meal in the area. I ordered "Greens/Grains Bowl." Many options to choose from amongst Greens, Grains, Meats, Veggies, Spreads & Dressings. Mine included: white Rice, Spinach, Romaine Lettuce, Grilled Chicken, Red pepper Hummus, pickled onions, hummus & green harissa dressing. Wow it was Delicious-reasonably Priced $13 or so for a Giant Bowl w/Spring Water. (See Photo). Yes I'm as fan. Excellent courteous customer service.

Yelp
Always jammed packed when I walk by during the lunch time peak weekkly, so I opt to come a little later when I can breeze through! Cava is a fast casual dining restaurant with great Mediterrean eats. Customizable bowls with allllll the fixings! I typically go for the grain bowl and add the greens last. Pictured is the Chicken Grain Bowl with pickled onions, baccage slaw, cucumbers, tzatziki, pita chips, shredded lettuce and Greek vinaigrette! The meatballs are my absolute fav!! I'm always torn between which protein to get so I tend to get the chicken or meatballs or half and half. I love them! The staff is super friendly, the establishment is clean and very inviting with the natural light that shines through. I do wish they had better beverage options. Or perhaps I am seeking something sweeter. Can't go wrong with the perfect bowl with all the perfect fixings to make you wiggle in your seat!

Yelp
Great lunch spots but the line gets long during lunch hours so be prepared. I got there just before 12 pm, and still managed to snag a spot on the corner. Then a few minutes after, people started piling in line in the middle. For today, I opted for the chicken, arugula, grape tomatoes, olives, tzatziki and roasted pepper sauces, maybe a bit boring to some but I enjoyed it for it was delicious and light! I like Mezeh better but I think they are the same company although Mezeh seems to have more offerings. When I get a chance to go to Fair Oaks, which is the convenient location for me, I'd definitely ask the manager if they are the same hub.
google avatar

Tawanna J.

Yelp
I love CAVA! They need one where I live! I could eat this everyday! Love the concept! The flavor! Endless options.
google avatar

Kal J.

Yelp
This was my first time eating at a CAVA - I actually didn't know they were a chain until today - and it did not disappoint. There was a huge variety of vegetables and meats, and everything was delicious. It felt fresh and nutritious, and even for DC, it was very reasonably priced. The decor is simple but beautiful, and I could see this becoming a regular lunch spot for me if I worked nearby. The service was wonderful!
google avatar

Yelp
Dam, I been around... went to Cava last night in DC across from a Whole Foods. Don't ask me where it is. The bowl I had with the Lemon Chicken with meatballs was f ing delish! The hummus and other scoops were amazing. I used tried their pita chips which were nice and warm with the right amount of salt. To the DC cop guarding Whoke Foods ( he's the dude that told me to go there). Thanks a bunch! Wish we have a Cava in Las Vegas!

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious. The customer service at this location is also great. I usually order online and they are good about having the order ready. If it isn't the manager is on top of things and makes sure the order comes out quickly. I usually order a pita with a side of rice. So far I have tried the Grilled Chicken and Grilled Meatballs for protein. I feel like I can't go wrong with any of the toppings, dips or spreads. The food there pairs very well. I love the cabbage slaw and the pickled onions because they give my food a unique taste that I don't find anywhere else. The diced cucumber gives the food a fresh taste that I think adds a feeling of freshness. I'm really looking forward to my next trip because the braised lamb and the falafel look delicious. Either choice I know I won't be disappointed. Lastly the juices are to die for. They're refreshing and taste so good. I can't get enough of the watermelon/mint. I may sound like I'm exaggerating but this place is really that good.
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
Pros: promptness when ordering online. If you order for 12:15 it will be ready right then. They actually including all the dips and the vegetable quality was great. Cons: I got a grain and greens bowl but it was 80% greens and 20% grains. I really love the grains so I was sad at how little there was.
google avatar

Juliana P.

Yelp
I love CAVA! It's like the Chipotle for Mediterranean food! I like doing the half salad/ have grain option and doing the mixed greens and white rice bowl. I usually get chicken. You can get 3 toppings of hummus! Be aware of the super hot red ones. They're HOT. The sundried tomato one is my fave. You also can get any of the toppings!! I usually top off my bowl with the green sauce. Portions are usually generous and I always ask for a side of pita bread!
google avatar

Yumi M.

Yelp
This location is newer and it is fairly clean. During lunch-hours it is incredibly busy and you can barely get a seat inside the restaurant. However, for the food it is worth getting it to go even. The supergreen mix for the salad option is great, not only is it nutritious, it is also quite tasty. The red pepper hummus always hits the spot along with the cabbage topping. They have several dressing options but with the spreads and toppings, you really don't need a "dressing" since it is already heavily seasoned.
google avatar

Najla A.

Yelp
Food is actually excellent. Service is like having robots making your meal. Like where did they hire these disrespectful, listless employees.
google avatar

Jane L.

Yelp
Quick and easy with so many choices! I had a lentil avocado bowl that huge and packed with goodies. The portions are big and there is a large selection of add ones. They have a large selection of unusual fountain drinks that were good.
google avatar

Eric K.

Yelp
Half way through my meal and a friend of mine found a whole stink bug in her food. She got a refund and a compensated meal of choice for next visit (next visit, ha!). Thanks but no thanks. Talk to you in a little bit, corporate. see photo*

Lisa P.

Yelp
I drove 4 hours to DC to support family and show respect to a wonderful relative. I felt for a heart salad and tried their Greek salad and a make your own. Both were super friper delicious with ultimate fresh ingredients. Quite frankly it's the best salads I have had in a while and I wish they were in NY. I threw down the Greek salad first with a refreshing bottled water and tried a few bites of my own creation and was pleasantly surprised satisfied at both of them. Sorry no pics of the Greek but I did inclue the empty bowl and a pic of the other salad I created. Absolutely 5 stars!!!

Yelp
I love Cava--it's my favorite relatively healthy fast casual restaurant in the area. Also, this used to be my favorite Cava location in the DC area--pre-Covid, I would come at least once a week. That's why I was so disappointed yesterday to find that my food (especially the pita, the falafel, and the meatballs) was so DRY! I really can't emphasize enough how dry and unappetizing these were. Also, what is going on with the harissa sauce/dip? It was chunky, dry, and didn't taste normal (though I have to say I noticed this in another nearby location as well--not sure if they changed the recipe overall, but I would not consider this an improvement). Lastly, the brussels sprouts were not cut properly--the stems were not fully cut off, so they were difficult to eat. Overall, I'm not sure what happened at this location recently, but these changes are not for the best.
google avatar

Yagmur E.

Yelp
Do NOT go there, even if you go DO NOT order meatballs!!! I am extremely dissapointed with my experience at Cava in Dupont Circle. I understand that it gets extremely busy during lunch break, which is why I placed my online to pick up at a certain time and they FORGOT to prepare my meal, which I ended up waiting for the same time that I would wait without ordering online. Also the meatballs were RAW as can be seen from the photo that i uploaded to Yelp, that was taken from today's order!! This is extremely unhealthy and unprofessional!
google avatar

Margarita G.

Yelp
Casual; fresh food; great for a Friday during Lent. My kids loved it, husband not as into it. I loved it too. Healthy options and affordable. Very casual but clean and nice.
google avatar

Jacki B.

Yelp
CAVA is amazing! They offer so many options, with something available for anyone with dietary restrictions. Everything was fresh and delicious, and you don't feel guilty after eating it. Their website is super easy to navigate and build your meal exactly as you'd like it... we ordered online, picked up at the restaurant, and took it for a picnic by the water.

Yelp
THE BIG: I Lava you Cava. Sleek Greek cuisine that is fast. Snuggled in between a Citi Bank and Betsy Fisher right off the southern part of Dupont Circle. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I've never heard of Cava until my coach raved about one coming to Dupont circle. On it's soft opening, they gave out free bowls and drinks from 11 am - 2pm. The line was wrapped around to the Surfside! I decided to brave the line, which was an hour estimated wait. #WorthIt Luckily the hour rolled by fast due to my new friend I met in line talking about the history of the world... and the freebies the Cava staff were handing out. The freebies were drink samples and falafel bites. yummm. Once inside, the space is quite big and the decor was modern with what seems like ample seating (although seating is usually full everytime I go). Very easy ordering system. I create my own bowl, which consist of a base (I get brown basmati rice), 3 dips (roasted red pepper hummus, eggplant, and harissa), a protein (half chicken, half roasted veggies), and unlimited toppings (I just go crazy on these), and dressing (sriracha greek yogurt). The final product weighs around 1-2 lbs. I have no regrets. +Pro Tip - If you don't have your wallet/purse on you. You can download the Cava app and pay via your phone! There's discounts that you can get everytime you use the app to purchase your food. I use the LevelUp app which is essentially the same thing. THE FINAL BAMBOO: ~$9 for a Create your bowl masterpiece w/o a drink. Very good deal for the amount of food you get. A++ Cava, I lava U.
google avatar

Vanessa P.

Yelp
I agree with Juliana! This is the Chipotle for Mediterranean food! I heard they had a Cava in the LA area so I will make sure to hunt it down for a bowl! Our friend introduced us to Cava! It is the same concept as Chipotle but with Mediterranean ingridents. My hubby is a vegan so he fell in love quickly with Cava. My favorite was the organic sodas that they carry at Wholefood!
google avatar

Rumit P.

Yelp
The food is delicious, healthy, fresh, and filling, as long as you get the greens and grains bowl (instead of one or the other). They have several greens options (super greens, which include broccoli, kale, spinach, cauliflower, etc.; arugula; spinach; mesclun; or romaine). They skimp on the toppings (offering only a tiny amount that is inadequate for the amount of protein and base). I usually get hummus, yogurt, harissa, which I think complement the bowl well. They eagerly charge more if you ask for a little more of anything! The ordering process is a lot like Chipotle--start with a base, select protein, select toppings, then finishes, then pay. It can and has gotten hectic during lunch (12-2pm), so try to go outside those hours, or risk waiting 10-15 min in line! Honestly, it's worth the wait. Download their app to get $3 off your first meal (or ask a friend to refer you so your friend gets a credit too) and earn a free meal once you spend $100.
google avatar

Pearl M.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting CAVA and it was great! I normally wouldn't go to this location but it was conveniently near the yoga studio I had just left. It was pretty busy upon arrival, but the line moved fast. I was content with my meal and the warm pita bread on the side. I believe you can download an app for them also to make checking out easier.
google avatar

Kaitlyn C.

Yelp
Food: Never had Mediterranean fast food done so good! All ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. I'm never going back to Chipotle again! Heard they do $30 free flow mimosas with brunch at Cava Mezze - so excited to check it out. Ambiance: Fairly loud - don't try to study here. Plenty of seating, cups for water, typical clean eats fast food chain look. Come here if: You want a less heavy version of Chipotle burrito bowls. Great for veggie people!!!!! Forget it if: You're sick of these trendy Chipotle knock offs (don't be).

John F.

Yelp
I ordered a Greek salad, took about four bites and threw it out. Worst salad ever ordered there. Soggy, bad brown lettuce (and almost no lettuce), overdressed, yuck. I'm done with that place.
google avatar

Stacy P.

Yelp
Gluten Free: Yes, but make sure to verify on items, because some items have flour that you wouldn't assume Casein Free: Yes, specific items are naturally this way Oh CAVA how I've missed you. This DC based chain is what can be described as the Mediterranean upscale version of Chipotle. What makes CAVA great: + Fast and friendly service + It's expense account and budget friendly + The ingredient are fresh and locally sourced + The drinks offer some non-typical flavors, turmeric lemonade any one (though they are seasonal) + A bowl is the way to go for a long lasting filling meal + Use their app to order ahead and earn rewards. Can we say free food? + Has a relatively large seating area; however, it can get crowded and loud during peak meal times. Tip: * Don't forget the small step on the way out of the door
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
I enjoy coming to CAVA. The atmosphere is more of a contemporary restaurant instead of a chipotle style fast food joint. When we do come, we feel like we are eating healthy and with living in the city and eating out almost everyday you need to make it a point to eat healthy. I love the chicken and the sides, I love how they basically give you whatever you want. The fried pita is also very very tasty. I also love getting the fried pita chips on my bowl. Service also has been very good here.
google avatar

Rempee K.

Yelp
Service is great and clean. The staff is also very friendly. Moving on to the food, it's fantastic!! You can make your own falafel and rice bowl. The line is always out the door but it's soo worth it!
google avatar

Liza M.

Yelp
Mmmm, I love Cava. I first tried Cava when my SO was working up on Wisconsin Ave and I was a little surprised by the process since I didn't even know what it was about. It's pretty much the healthier version of Chipotle. You get to pick whether you want greens, grains, or both, your protein (or veggies or both), toppings, and sauce. When I found out a location was opening up where we worked/lived I was ecstatic. I was actually one of the fools that stood outside for over an hour an opening day (learned my lesson - never doing that again). Anyway, I find Cava to be a perfect go-to spot for a healthy lunch that is still hearty. I went when I was pregnant and I will say if you are having any food aversions, just stay away until after because I almost ruined it for myself. I had it yesterday for the first time in almost 10 months and I was loving it. I got the lentil and supergreen mix, with chicken and veggie (1/2 and 1/2), cabbage, radishes, and quinoa tabbouleh. It's pretty scrumptious and sometimes it even lasts me two lunches. Pro-tip: go before 12 if you don't want to wait in line.
google avatar

Erin R.

Yelp
Healthy, quick service, loads of food, and not too expensive. Cava is a great spot for a quick lunch when you are looking for some quick Mediterranean. It is a fast casual build your own Mediterranean bowl spot. I would recommend reading over the menu before jumping in line because the ingredients were not listed well and during lunch time this spot gets crowded with a lot of people on a mission to order their meals and leave. You will get a lot of dirty looks for slowing the line down in DC at lunch time! The green & grain bowl I got was delicious and my favorite part was all the toppings I got to add for free! Plus a mini pita! For the protein I would recommend splitting between 2 different things because the portion is huge - the chicken and roasted veggies go perfect together.
google avatar

Courtney F.

Yelp
I walked 15 minutes for CAVA because I received an email about my $3 off reward. I passed up many salad places to get here and was happy that I got in and out very quickly! The line was long but it was moving very fast. You could tell that this location was ready for the lunch hour rush and they had every part of the process efficient and organized. Also while in line I noticed that they do not leave anything a mess, you can tell the employees must have a clean as you go policy. I ordered a salad with rice, kale mix, half chicken half falafal. I got most of the toppings and a spicy red and light green sauce. It was super tasty and I had so much I couldn't eat it all in one sitting.
