Cavaña celebrates the spirit of Central and South America through food, beverage, music, and art. Our menu features an expansive collection of agave and sugar-cane distillates alongside artisanal cocktails and shareable plates that showcase a mosaic of vibrant flavors from all parts of Latin America.
"This Latin America-inspired rooftop bar is an excellent place for views of Mission Bay, seasonal cocktails, and a bite to eat. Ceviche is a favorite here for a smaller item to nosh on, but for heftier bites check out the chicharron de pollo and quesabirria tacos, too. As for cocktails, frozen/slushy drinks tend to be the most popular when it’s warm, but even the more spirit-forward options tend to be well-balanced, thanks to bar director Emilio Salehi and his team." - Dianne de Guzman
"Cavaña is a beautiful rooftop bar, but without the lousy drinks that sometimes accompany that kind of vibe. The drink menu is a celebration of Central and South America, comprising pan-Latin flavors both familiar and new, from banana milk to clarified tamarind. You’ll find fun frozen drinks for the warmer days, such as the piña colada, perfect for having in hand on the dance floor and making you believe in frozen cocktails again. It’s one of those places that checks all the boxes — great food, panoramic views, proximity to day outings like Oracle Park — plus it’s a great date spot that makes you look like you know what you’re doing." - Andrew Calisterio
"Mission Bay rooftop bar Cavaña takes things down to Latin America with holiday pop-up Nochebuena, which launches on Sunday, December 1. Expect festive decor, and a selection of food and drinks (past favorites have included pozole rojo, mole tamales, and gingerbread cookies with milk). On the beverage front, expect cocktails like rum blended chocolate molé, cardamom cream, and grated Oaxacan chocolate, or a tequila concoction with banana, toasted pepita, cinnamon, egg, and cream sherry, for example. Reservations are recommended." - Lauren Saria, Justine Jones
"Epic views, thrilling cocktails, and spicy South American cuisine make this rooftop bar a must-try for anyone in the Mission Bay area. From the north side of the bar you can peer directly down into the Oracle Park outfield, but not even the stellar views can distract from the menu of Latin-inspired cocktails. Food isn’t the focus but you could do a lot worse than Cavana’s tacos and classic ceviche." - Dianne de Guzman, Paolo Bicchieri, Eater Staff
"Here’s a little secret: From one of the patios at this Latin American rooftop bar you can pretty much see the outfield of Oracle Park. That means you can sneak free peeks at any events that may take over the baseball field, including games, yes, but also concerts, when the sound carries nicely on the breeze over to the bar. The cocktails fuse less-common spirits like pisco and cachaça with flavors from south of the border — think delicately floral papaya and purple chicha morada. If you need a bite, the menu of aguachiles, flaky Brazilian pastels, and arepas should more than suffice." - Paolo Bicchieri, Eater Staff
