We did not stay at the hotel, just had dinner at the restaurant. The food is of great quality and the chef clearly knows what he is doing. Technically well prepared dishes, great flavour profile. However, as we don't speak French (at least not more than basic level), we felt like the service experience fell flat. Usually I wouldn't expect all service staff to speak English, but I'd expect the restaurant to allocate those who do speak English to us as an English speaking table - that didn't happen. It was also clear that the service staff was uncomfortable with us due to the language barrier, which at the level the chef is aiming for, is not acceptable. The service took it from 4.5 to 3 stars, which is a shame.

I've been here a handful of times and I have to say, every time I go I am pleasantly surprised. The chef is a really pleasant man that has a lot of passion for his work and it shows, the service is impeccable and servers are really good at what they do and you can see they actually want to be there and know what they talk about. The menu is very varied and there's a lot of selection, and the meals are works of art. Ive seen the care that goes into each since we were in front of the kitchen and I can say without a doubt this is my favorite restaurant of the area. The chef also made us some sabayon for free, which was so delicious we had to fight between ourselves to get to finish it 😄 All in all, great place to eat fine food at a reasonable price.

The restaurant looked nice, had great reviews and recommendation, so we booked a table very well in advance during our trip. We got a call 30 min before to confirm if we were coming, which is I guess normal probably on busy nights. We arrived on time and got a table with high chairs in the center of the room. The ambiance was nice, cozy and warm with open kitchen. It was a very busy night - the restaurant was packed. There was enough parking outside. However, the tapas we were recommended to order arrived was freezing cold including the plate itself. It was definitely prepared in advance and kept in a fridge which did not make a good impression. The wine list is all overpriced with most of the wine over 100 euro per bottle which we found to be rather pretentious. The service was rather inconsistent, cold and only few spoke English. The food was ok, but not very convincing. Appetizers were fine, though not memorable. The salmon was very salty and the steak was just bland, so we did not finish our mains. When we provided the feedback to the waiter we got a response that we needed to read the menu (that was in French only) - I guess we should have known from the menu that the food was expected to be salty or bland. We were not in a mood to order any dessert at this point. The portions are huge which is not a good thing at the level this restaurant would like to position itself and the overpriced for what you get. Overall was a big disappointment for us and probably the worst dinner in our trip to the region. Overall we would not recommend or return.

Everything about this restaurant goes above expectations. The food, pairings, atmosphere, and above all else, the staff. My husband and I found this place by accident during an impromptu trip to the Dinant area. We do not speak French, and were nervous if we could go and be welcomed in a restaurant of this caliber. We were welcomed in with phenomenal staff, and had one of the best dinners we have ever had. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in a fantastic meal and experience!

Cozy and sophisticated atmosphere,friendly and helpful staff at the service with English speakers also. Nice menu, the options with cuckoo and salmon were extraordinary! Variety of wines and cocktails! I absolutely recommend it and definitely will visit it again. Not forget to mention that the guiding signs on the road are helpful, follow them.

The food was beautiful, delicious, and delightfully textured. The staff is so fun and make you feel like friends. Our waiter was worried that we had walked and it started raining, and made sure we made it home safely. A perfect dining experience.

Both the hotel and the restaurant are heartily recommended. Quality doesn't come cheap, but when the quality (of the room , of the restaurant) and hospitality of the owners and staff is like it is at CCnomie, the bill is of lesser importance. Will be back !
