The Seattle Gay Bar Guide - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Located on Capitol Hill but slightly removed from the vibrating beats of Pike/Pine is CC Seattle’s, otherwise known as CC Attle’s. (Get it?) It’s a classic for scantily clad adventurers and those excited about exploring an extensive liquor list. CC’s also has a solid lineup of events, including garden variety dance parties and Furry Fridays with ciders from a local queer- and furry-owned company." - aimee rizzo

Google
Probably the best gay bar in Seattle! You will definitely have a fun time here! Great DJs and atmosphere. Love this classic gay bar!

Mertcan Ay

Google
They are charging for a cover at 8pm. There are way better other gay bars around the area with people under age 30. This bar is full of old people and still charging for a cover, never again. CCs is never worth it if you are young and just looking for fun, it’s always full of old people.

Google
I've been coming to this place for about a year now on themed nights. The staff is always great and the vibes are amazing! Drinks flow very fast so be careful. They catch up quick! Also, no food served here. Stop at Dicks if you want something to eat before.

Easton Dillehay

Google
CC’s is truly your classic gay bar. Dark, erotic with stiff drinks and men. The server, Lonnie, was very friendly. Would definitely make this my go to spot, if I were a local.

Andrew Adam Caldwell

Google
No-nonsense "old school" neighborhood bar. Relaxed atmosphere, chummy and welcoming cartons, friendly staff. In a world of dehumanizing apps, this is a truly "social" space IRL.

Estevan Hernandez

Google
Good environment but I just have one thing to say — If your website says “no cover until 8PM”, honor that. It was 7:40PM and we rushed to the bar to avoid the cover and we were told to pay the cover. That isn’t right. Otherwise, good environment and great drinks.

Google
Favorite Gay Bar in Seattle! Usually come here for their monthly events or meeting friends for fun and drinks. Love their themed nights and strong drinks. Plus the staff are super friendly and accommodating.

Google
Good bar for out of town visited introduction to the Seattle scene. Sadly when we tried to go on our last night some OLD queen pretending to be SACurity demanded ID. Shame you didn’t ask for ID on the presidents birthday weekend when I first entered and left a glowing review.

Yelp
I have had CC Attle's on my "to try" list forever. Not really any good excuse as to why it took so long for me to finally visit other than being overwhelmed with all of the other " to try's" I have in this neighborhood and maybe because I don't come to this neighborhood nearly as often as I used to. This is one of the staple gay bars for Capitol Hill or at least to me it is as it continues to still exist. I had a reason though to come here on my last trip to Seattle though and that was because Steve wanted to go to a leather event here. When we arrived he wasn't too impressed with the small group there was for it and didn't really want to get involved in the elaborate rope ties they were doing. So we just hung out in the corner and had a beer. The place was all decked out for Halloween which I was very pleased to see and I checked out all of it while there. The music playing fondly brought me back to my clubbing days of the 90's and I didn't mind it being earlier in the day hearing this because I'm old now. Yeah, I know. It's all subjective but that doesn't mean my body doesn't feel it the next day after being up late at night. CC Attle's has a good website which communicates effectively on any events that are on the horizon here like that leather event and a thing I was very thrilled to see there is that there is never a cover. Man, if I was living out my clubbing days now I'd be hanging out here a lot because I love being a cheapskate yet at the same time have a good time.

Yelp
Don't come where if you want for have fun! You need to whisper or the bartender will kick you out! Even A social conversation got us a warning , maybe he was too hungover cos he said some of us don't wake up until 3pm: sooooooorry but. No!

Yelp
This bar is very sexist and my girl friends didn't feel welcomed here... so if you have women with you... don't come here... especially with bartender Dan. Like you're a bar - get over it... if you don't like drunk people, don't be a bartender at a bar... we felt unwelcome. From the moment we walked in, the bartender was rude AF. And I'm gay so ... so how about you be a little more inclusive.

Yelp
Just had a terribly frustrating experience trying to go to CC's at 8PM on a Saturday. Our group of three kinky gay men of various ethnicities over 30 years old were turned away because we were not "geared up." We were not wearing any visible gear. We took them at their word and stepped outside to clear the entry and figure out where to go instead. While we were standing outside in the drizzle, we watched the same door person admit 3 Caucasian men under 30 not in visible gear. I don't know what to think. Were we profiled? Were we turned away because of our age? Were we turned away because we were not thin? What I know is that we ended up around the corner having boba and writing this review.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Decent crowd. Not disappointed. Would definitely be returning, and enjoying some of the apps

Yelp
My friend and I randomly stumbled upon this bar. It was late, and about 30 minutes to closing time. We managed to order a drink each...something slushie. It had some raspberry flavoring and was pretty strong. As soon as we settled into our booth, we noticed that this was a gay bar. Lots of fun and excellent music choices. We were just barely getting into the groove when the music suddenly stopped and lights were starting to come on, so we didn't really get to enjoy CC's to its fullest. We quickly downed our drinks and headed out. Would definitely like to come back and try more of their slushie drinks as they were cheap.

Yelp
This is one of my "Go to" bars. Depending on when you go, it Could be quiet and cozy or packed and inviting. No cover charge, friendly staff and strong drinks. Plus...they are deeply connected to the community and neighborhood.

Yelp
This is a nice place to check out if you are either one on one or with a closed circle of friends. They do a great job with social distancing because everything is closed off and you are not allowed to talk to others. The food and beverages were good, but it was very quiet. Like mentioned, this place does a good job at social distancing as you do not get to talk to others. Check it out and form your opinion.

Yelp
Causal bar with sometimes grumpy bar keeps, but strong drinks if you leave a decent tip or frequent this establishment. Things to remember: you pay every time you order so there are no open tabs unless you prepay for an extra drink, and not saying hello to the barkeep(s) will likely not get you service. This is a cool place for drinks with friends or coworkers, and billiard and TVs to pass the time. I have not tried the food so my rating is based on drinks, atmosphere, and service.

Ken P.

Yelp
Quite disappointed in your "pride weekend" event. Wanted to stop for a cocktail on my way home. Was denied entrance because I wasn't dressed in leather. I will not be giving you my money in the future.

Dale W.

Yelp
Gay Pride in Seattle and CC's has a dress code of "leather only". I paid $40' Lyft fare to be turned away due to dress code DURING PRIDE! Great way of serving your community CC's.

Yelp
This was one of many "interesting" and "weird" experiences I've had reconnecting with Seattle as an adult after being gone for years. The first time I came to this bar, I was with a friend and had a great time; service was friendly and prompt, and the bartenders made time to just talk. (Note: that friend doesn't look like me.) The second time I was alone and the experience was a complete 180. Both bartenders at either end of the bar pretended they couldn't see me and went about their business while I was waiting in vain to get a drink. So I left without ordering. Seems like it could be a nice place, if you're with the right people. I hate that this was probably my last trip to Capitol Hill, but I can't think of a more emblematic experience to close out on. Seattle has "changed," but lots of things haven't. The bottom line is, whatever this place is now...y'all can have it.

Yelp
I really liked this place for a casual gay bar with chill lounge qualities. We were here one night when a long time buddy of mine was in town visiting and we promised him a night on the town in Seattle. We had just finished dinner and were looking for a spot to have a couple drinks and hang out until we were ready for more of a club atmosphere and dancing. The bouncer was friendly and pleasant as were the bartenders, always nice to start the night off with cheerful people. The atmosphere is very laid back and casual, no frills..but there were definitely some thrills..just check the tv screens. I tried to be covert, but I'm pretty sure the husband caught me sneakin a peek. We grabbed drinks at the bar easily enough and then relaxed at some tables next to these fun lit up window cutouts semi separating two rooms. They have a lot of space here with tons of seating, room for dancing if you want, and lots of space at the bar. The darkness is lit up with neon lighting and the flashy tv screens and they were playing good music the hour or so we were here. We all enjoyed our drinks and agreed this was an ideal spot for a little pregame before hitting a spot with a dance floor. It has a perfect chill vibe with an accepting atmosphere where no one seemed to question gender or orientation.

Yelp
Cool bar. Great people. The music, however, is always terrible and always makes me think twice before venturing in. It would be much better if they got a real DJ.

Kwame S.

Yelp
From the moment we arrived we had rude service from multiple people including the bartenders. I have never been screamed at to MOVE from an area before at any place of business. Felt disdain from the moment I walked in. Won't be returning.

Seann R.

Yelp
Great neighborhood gay bar. All LGBTQ+ welcome! No judgment from anyone! Unlike other gay bars on the hill. Strong drinks and friendly faces
google avatar

Yelp
If you like bears and men who like them this is the bar for you. I have never met so many friendly men before and great staff. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Prices for food and drink is great!
google avatar

Korn S.

Yelp
Awful customer service, it's a bar I get it but wow some of their employees are rude. First time I asked if they had French fries and the bartender told me to read the menu. Ok. This time the bar back told me to stop yelling like I was a white high school girl. Wow, the muscles in my throat were damage during my time in the military, Ur welcome. I asked to speak to the manager and the employee didn't inform me who was the manager instead she told me to keep it down. It's a bar, it's loud, and if you don't like people please don't work a customer service job. Please save your money and support other local bars that actual care about their customers.

Yelp
Best drinks in Seattle at fair prices. Staff extremely friendly and welcomes all Clean and tidy lots of fun darts and pool is offers Great variety of music!

Yelp
First time to the PNW and this was on the places we checked out on our bar/club crawl. If you dig burly, brawny men: this is your spot! The atmosphere was very chill. We waited a bit to grab drinks, but it was well worth it. Our bartender was an elder fellow who seemed to be well-versed in the industry and was very kind and patient. Even though he was busy, yet he still made the effort to make conversation with us. My friends and I then moved to the side of the bar closest to the street and just chatted it up and enjoyed our drinks. We all had a great time there. Again, there was lots to look at. :P Thanks for the drinks CC's, will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Came in with a group of friends and were served by Marcus and Daniel. Best bar experience ever. As a former bartender, I'm a hard customer to please. I like my bartenders to be friendly and knowledgeable, and these two didn't disappoint. The drinks were Awesome and the conversation and attention to detail even better. We couldn't recommend this bar more.

Samuel C.

Yelp
I'm slowly getting back out and going to places again. There's something about the front door checking vaccine cards and comparing it to my ID that makes me feel comfortable and more than willing to go back. I'll gladly go back, especially for pup night.

Yelp
It doesn't even deserve one star but I can't rate any lower. I have had a terrible experiences with the the door men and this last time has resulted in a physical altercation. No one should ever put their hands on you and throw you out of a bar for throwing your cigarette out on the street because you didn't see a trash can! I'm a respectable person and wouldn't give anyone a hard time and didn't deserve the shitty treatment I got from they're blpompous door man. If you are looking for a good night skip this place!

Anonymous A.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Seattle for a few years and was looking forward to dinner and some beer here. Unfortunately, the food menu was rather disappointing and their excellent French Dip sandwich was no longer available. I ended up with an overdone hamburger, but at least the potato salad was tasty. Too bad that they blame the reduction in food selection on COVID as I haven't heard of anyone contracting the disease from a roast beef sandwich.

L.R. N.

Yelp
100% support the proof of vaxx requirement. Grateful that CC's is doing their part to keep the community safe!

Todd L.

Yelp
Wonderful neighborhood bar that we have gone to for years and shared many great memories with friends. Great drinks and fun atmosphere and walking distance (3 blocks) to light rail station and in the heart of Capitol Hill. Thank you so much for requiring proof of vaccination. We feel much safer!
google avatar

Erica P.

Yelp
Came in on the beginning of a Friday night. Drinks were excellent, super strong and extra tasty. This was our second stop of the night and we were starving (and just a few sheets to the wind). The food was glorious, just what we needed to sober us up so that we could have more cocktails. The ambiance? Fantastic. I do always enjoy being surrounded by large groups of delicious-looking men, and CC's did not disappoint at all.

Yelp
Fantastic bartenders and staff. Lots of hot guys Fetish night is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Cody P.

Yelp
If you are from out of town, or not a regular, don't bother. The staff does not make you feel welcome at all. The bar backs from my experience are the RUDEST "hosts" I've ever come across in a gay bar and as a flight attendant I visit many. When the words "yeah.....this is how we do it here," comes out of an employees mouth....SEE YA! Don't bother coming or spending money here. I gave it a 2nd chance and as soon as I walked in, I was treated like I was an inconvenience.
google avatar

Yelp
CC Attle's is very much a throwback to the time when there were gay neighborhoods and communities that gather around a bar. Which is a great thing, but unfortunately CC Attle's also carries on old gay traditions such as ageism and cruel, catty bartenders who let their disappointment with life/dissatisfaction and internalized homophobia bleed onto their customers. I have written few enough negative reviews to count on one hand, but these bartenders took assholery to a new level so I'm inspired. Having worked in the service industry, I always try to be friendly, respectful and tip well. So I had a few beers and was enjoying the night, getting to know some of the other patrons. I live in a city that doesn't have a centralized gay neighborhood, so it felt great to be there. When I first got there I was treated to listening to Brett or Brad the bartender complaining about the patrons. Kind of weird to be trash talking customers openly, but none of my business. I remained friendly and was not intoxicated at all. I went up to order another beer, when the two bartenders Brett(Brad) and some other douche began talking about me in front of me. They then made one of the cruelest, most ageist comments I have ever experienced and was obscene enough I don't feel comfortable repeating it in a review. I then went to order another beer saying "I'll have one more" , and Brett/Brad snipped "of course you will." Whatever that meant. It was extremely hurtful to be treated this way out of nowhere. We are living in times that are hard enough on marginalized people. This makes it extra painful that gay man can't even experience kindness and tolerance in a gay bar without having to endure cruel comments with no provocation. No one should be treated that way by a couple of pathetic, broken down failures of bartenders. Sad little creatures, sad little place. So if you are from out of town, I would go somewhere else, not a safe harbor at CC Attle's. Bummer, because I have been going to CC's in Portland and Puerto Vallarta for years. There is a phenomenon in the service industry in which the culture of a place becomes so toxic that they forget there is a reality outside that of the employees (like for example, the people paying them). If you are the owner, you should probably know that your staff's unhappiness is impacting the experience of your customers.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
CC's is "as good as it gets" and is THE local gay joint with stiff drinks that caters to the bear/non-twink gay guys of Seattle. Everyone goes here, it's a very neighborhood-y gay bar with very pleasant bar tenders and employees. It's not a hip club, stand-and-model club or pretty-boy club, though all are welcome! CC's lesser known secret? Pretty darn good buffalo wings!
google avatar

Marcus F.

Yelp
The food is good here. I seriously mean it. It sounds unlikely but I PROMISE you it's true. And the prices are super low for the generous portion size and as long as they stay that way, here we will come for dinner at least once a week. Also, the bartenders are friendly (except for that one time) and the drinks, as you probably heard, are cray cray. Give this place a try. Order a club sandwich and relaxxxx
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
Stiffest and cheapest drinks. Everyone I know starts here to get a good buzz going. The atmosphere is fun and you can easily spend a whole night there. Obviously a gay bar, but the group is often mixed and welcomes everyone. Easily in walking distance to/from several other gay bars. Make sure you have Dave make you his long island, they're the best!
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
I've been here a number of times. The drinks ares super stiff and the prices represent that in a fair manner. The clientele is usually low-key and nice, and most of the bartenders are good at their job. Last night, though, a bartender stopped making my drinks to pour a shot for someone sitting at the bar. When he came back I told him I'm taking my business elsewhere, and I did. I'm writing this here because their website doesn't have a way to email/contact them and I don't trust that if I call it won't be the same bartender and the management would never know that they lost customer last night. BTW I've had this bartender before and his service is usually indifferent at best, but last night was just plain unprofessional. There too many choices for bars in Seattle for me to have to put up with that kind of nonsense.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
I used to like CCs a lot and go st least twice a week, but after trying to go to their most recent fetish night, I will never come back here again. When we got to the barthere was a line around the block, which is fine, its a popular night and it seemed to be moving, so we dutifully waited in line with the rest of the suckers. After sitting in that line for twenty minutes, we were finally near the front. But at that moment another "priority line" formed next to us. That line quickly grew to several dozen people long, and we were told that everyone in the priority line would get to go in before even one person from our line would. There was no indication for what made the line a "priority", it wasn't full of attractive celebrities or people who had already been inside, and it hadn't existed for the whole twenty minutes we waited up to that point. Certainly, if anyone told us there was a "special line" we would have tried to be in it from the start. CCs, you're not a club, this isn't Hollywood, and I used to enjoy your bar specifically because it didn't have a "VIP status". You lost a customer for life last night.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
This is definitely a bar fit for gay men. As a female, I still had a great time meeting new people. The line at the bar gets Kong sometimes, but the staff is usually friendly to make up for it. I've visited with gay makes a couple times now, and we never has issues meeting new people.
google avatar

Eric M.

Yelp
Like Cheers!, but gay and centrally located. Good, strong drinks, and event programming on TV (Football, special shows, etc...). The food is pretty good too (for bar food). The french dip is my go to snack when I need to satisfy my hunger and don't want to leave the friendly atmosphere. NOT a great place to take straight friends for their first gay bar experience. Although the staff is friendly, patrons like their community space and don't "tone it down" to make first timers or straight couples more "comfortable".
google avatar

Kenny D.

Yelp
OMG I love this place the atmosphere is comfortable and the drinks are awesome. Staff are cool, but the barback guys are a little standoffish, but I get it they're not bartenders. Kinda weird that the bartenders don't really service you when you sit at the bar and you have get off your seat and you have to go to them to get another drink ???? Eh anyway A definite must go on a date to hang and chat. I'll return for sure. !!
google avatar

Abhiram A.

Yelp
This is one of the best bars I've been to, in Seattle. Very inclusive, and very nice people. I was visiting from Boston for a week on business, and I went on a Monday night. I had a great time here, met someone named Johnny with whom I had a great conversation. The barista was great, the drinks good (including non-alcoholic drinks) and the food was very good for the price. Absolutely will visit here when I go back to Seattle. When I compare this to bars in Boston (Club Cafe or Paradise, for example), Madison, WI (Plan B), and to other bars in Seattle, this one is one of the best I have been to. I highly recommend this bar.
google avatar

paul R.

Yelp
Wow that's all I have to say about this i place! The staff is amazing here I will have to say I prefer the back bar. Although any or the three are great. There are plenty of restrooms as well! Don't get me started on the food it's fucking amazing and fast service! I love this place strong ass drinks at a great price!
google avatar

Clay C.

Yelp
@ Kiki V. Please come back. New seats/cushions. Find me or any of our gang and if, as you say, are being treated badly by a bartender or staff we will take care of it. I have never in all my years seen bad treatment of our lady friends.
google avatar

Sam C.

Yelp
I come here quite often. The staff are always nice and the drinks are always tasty/affordable! A good friend and I refer to this place as our Cheers! You won't find any pretentious queens in this amazing bar!

Yelp
My favorite gay dive bar/hang out spot in Seattle. Come here as you are, straight from work or in your PJs. No one will care or judge. This bar's concept, in theory, caters to the "bear" crowd, as reinforced by a butch bear statue that stands in the entry way. But in reality, it's always a mixed group of fun, friendly guys, just looking to play pool, darts, grab a drink and talk. The bar itself has kind of a log-cabin-meets-commercial-space kind of feel, lots of wood - tables, benches, shelving, fixtures. They have tons of screens throughout the place broadcasting a never-ending slideshow of hot guys - from bears to jocks - in various states of undress and arousal (usually more on the undressed and aroused end of things). Makes for good talking points during lulls in the conversation. Whoever has to compile the pics for those slideshows has a pretty decent gig. Drinks are pretty cheap. More importantly, bartenders are awesome - Mike and Eric are institutions here and will take care of you. Seems like people do come in routinely to eat here too - especially late on a weekday night. Menu is standard bar fare - fries, burgers, hot wings, chicken strips. Haven't had the food yet, but it looked decent enough. So, this CC's shouldn't be confused with the CC's in Portland, which is a whole different (and less appealing) ball game, imo. This is a chill bar where you can grab a drink, hang out and make some new friends for the night. One of my favorites in Seattle for sure.
google avatar

Le M.

Yelp
We naturally gravitated towards this bar for their stiff drinks. Who wouldn't want a stiffy on a Friday night? The place is very casual with mid-30s, 40s to 50s 'mos. Not your S&M (i.e., Stand & Model) or twinkie bar, for that you have to hit Purr. There's no dancefloor, for that you go to Pony (tiny dance area) or...wait, what's with the animal sound or name for a bar! Is it a gay code? Anyway, CC is very relaxed, perfect for unwinding with friends after a hectic workweek. This place, however, is like a first stop for most before going elsewhere.
google avatar

Jeff C.

Yelp
Went to their soft opening on June 4th. On first coming in I thought wow it is really unfinished for it looked kind of cool. But on further inspection walking around could see that in many ways they were finished for they had wrapped studs on the unfinished wood. Now I know this is a bear bar but it is a gay bar none the less and someone somewhere has a friend who knows something about design. This has got to be the ugliest bar I have ever been into over the last 40 years (seriously). And the high wattage lights above the bar did nothing to hide the facts It was very crowded that night so really did not stay real long. And honestly was glad it had re-opened for it is filling a need in our city. I as well know that things can and probably will change. But please guys get someone to help you finish and figure things out and make us all happy you re-opened.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty nice bar! The layout is awesome at this place since you can easily have your space in different areas for different experiences. There are lots of TV's everywhere as well. The only bad thing is that if you want to play pool, it is situated a bit funny since you will end up excusing your self for space very often next to the wall. The service is pretty awesome, quick, straight forward, and always heavy on the pour. The prices are fantastic on opt of the fact that it is located right in Seattle. How do they do that?! I had a get together with some friends there and we had a blast! Also didn't spend that much money for the value of this place! Great atmosphere, great clients, great service. Good times!

Yelp
WHOA! WHERE ARE THE BABES? ! There sure are a lot of guys at CCattles. I can see I couldn't get in trouble here. The average age is in the mid-40s. The drinks have to be strong...and they are. NICE! So ya...it's the place to go if you want some strong drinks and get ripped. They have their own parking lot. But, get there early if you want a parking spot because they go fast.

Yelp
This place is packed with locals, bar is in the middle, super strong really big/tall drinks, hidden rooms, and an alley.

Doug S.

Yelp
I have visited this venue on multiple occasions and generally had good experiences. But this evening I was appalled by the rude behavior of one of the bartenders, who displayed a very mean and nasty streak. I was with two friends and there were two barstools close to one another and a third barstool a few feet away. When I attempted to move the third barstool closer to the other two (across a minor partition at the bar), this a-hat bartender said, "we don't allow moving furniture; you can't move that barstool." REALLY? What amazingly rude and customer-unfriendly behavior! Are you so f-ing lazy that you couldn't even imagine pushing a barstool back to its position six feet away to accommodate a customer buying drinks for three people? Really left a bad impression!

Yelp
Good bar with lots of open space to spread out. -No Cover -Cheap Food -Strong Mid priced drinks -Friendly staff that rarely changes -Burly men Only gripe would be some of the crowd, but when you give gay men strong drinks hands will roam. HAHAHA!
