A fancier atmosphere than we’re used to, but a great choice for our special breakfast on vacation. My Croffle (waffle croissant) was THE BEST breakfast food I’ve ever eaten. Prices were fare, service was excellent, and meal was delish!

We’re returning customers at Cecile’s Bakery, and it never disappoints! The food is always amazing and fresh. Jordan and Alex were once again super friendly, punctual, and made the experience even better. The ambience is chill, relaxing, and effortlessly chic — the perfect vibe. And did we mention the delectable pastries! So glad to have this gem in town!

Great neighborhood gem. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, coffee with friends and family. Many options, French and American. I had the egg croissant sandwich. Perfect. Delicious.

We chose Cecile Bakery + Cafe for my wife’s birthday breakfast because we had previously enjoyed positive experiences here. Unfortunately, this visit was deeply disappointing and will be our last. Service throughout the meal was slow and inattentive. I ordered the chilaquiles, which were served cold. Water refills were largely ignored until requested, and used plates remained on the table for an extended period despite being stacked to indicate they were ready to be cleared. While frustrating, these issues alone would not have warranted a one-star review. The experience deteriorated significantly at the time of payment. When I requested the bill, the waiter verbally stated the total was $345.99 and explicitly told me that gratuity was not included. Based on that representation, I left a 25% tip. Upon reviewing the receipt afterward, I discovered a 20% service charge had already been added, resulting in a total gratuity of approximately 45%. When I raised this issue, the waiter advised instead of reversing the tip, he proposed refunding the cost of the breakfast platters so that he could personally retain the tip. This solution was both unethical and alarming. Rather than correcting an overcharge to the guest, the waiter was willing to divert revenue away from the restaurant—revenue that supports operations, payroll, and overhead—in order to place that same amount into his own pocket under the guise of gratuity. As a business owner myself, I find this behavior entirely unacceptable and damaging to the establishment. I requested to speak with the manager, who appeared indifferent and offered no meaningful resolution. When I asked for the owner’s contact information, I was only given the name Veronica, with no additional way to reach her. Cecile Bakery + Cafe must clearly disclose service charges and ensure staff act with honesty and integrity. Guests should never be placed in a position where they are misled at checkout, nor should employees be empowered to sacrifice the restaurant’s revenue to protect their own compensation. I hope this review reaches the owner so she is aware of what is occurring in her absence. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this establishment to others.

Very busy lunch place!! Had the shakushaka which was served hot and incredibly tasty with toasted sourdough bread. Jordan was out server - extremely polite and attentive. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with lunch. This place was highly recommended to us and did not disappoint!!

Cecile is a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere and very good food. The service made the difference. Alex and Esteban were very attentive, friendly, and professional. They made us feel very well taken care of. Highly recommended. Thank you so much!!!

I only went to pick up some baked goods. I got some plain croissants, chocolate croissants, a palmier and a baguette. All were really fresh and really delicious. It felt like I got it from a bakery in France. Everyone was very kind upon entering, then when ordering, and as we departed. I'll be back for breakfast/brunch/lunch one day soon and will update on food. It looked so great on the people's plates.

Lovely bakery, especially in the morning. Their croissants are delicious, and good selection of tea and coffee. Service is quick and seamless. It gets super busy around 10am and wifi slows down significantly so if you're planning to work from here, plan accordingly. They also don't have any power outlets, so bring your laptop charged. Even when it's busy they don't try to kick you out like some places, so that's nice.

Been coming here for 2 years now; the food has always been amazing and easily deserves 5 stars. The service has however significantly deteriorated over time. It used to be spot on, but now the staff seems disjointed, there is no sense of teamwork or care (except the male hostess - he is awesome). You can sit there for 10 minutes with staff walking by you every 2 minutes but never acknowledging you. It's like they hope that someone else will take care of you. Definitely something wrong with the management and the culture at that place. Too bad.

I was strolling past this bakery, I couldn't help but be drawn in by its decor. The amount of pastries was so hard to resist. So, I opted for one of their lunch options --the tuna salad sandwich. The freshness was unparalleled, and serving it on a croissant added a twist that sets it apart from the usual tuna sandwiches. Can't wait to return and indulge in all of the pastries!

I love going to Cecile for a nice breakfast. The atmosphere is lovely and I like that they have tables outside and people walk by. The servers have always been very keen and knowledgeable.

Place was already get packed when we got there around 10am & they were very accommodating in setting up a table for us outside. Service was great & fast considering the volume. Coffee was delish! Almond croissant was good. Would've liked it a little bit more warmed up. Prices are a bit high for what it was though. It was a nice one time experience.

I went to the South Florida Porsche which this year was held on Sunrise Drive right in front of Cecile Bakery + Café. So, as I could see most of the Porsche show from there, I sat down at a table in their outdoor sidewalk patio. Though it was crowded, I got rather quick and polite service. For my meal, I had their Huevos Iberico which consisted of Fried eggs, chorizo, "Brava" sauce, serrano ham, matchstick fries, Manchego cheese, and sourdough toast. The chorizo was of some of the best in flavors I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was of a very skimpy amount. My partner had their Eggs Benedict Croissant which were poached eggs served with smoked ham, Hollandaise sauce, and a homemade flaky croissant sided with house salad. Overall, I was rather pleased with the food and attentive service.

Pancakes were delicious. Added blueberries. Service was great. The young lady was very attentive.Food arrived hot. Pancakes cool off fast.So this is very important. Only recommendations I would make are the following. Butter arrived in pads that were hard to open and hard to spread. (Too cold) American coffee was fresh and hot. They do charge extra for American coffee refills. Was not happy with that policy) But not the end of the world. However, might consider changing that policy. Restaurant was very clean.

Great spot for breakfast/brunch! Service is excellent and food is always superb. Sad that they took the Asian short rib off the menu, but everything else was amazing. Inside is cute if it's hot outside, but if it's pleasant sitting outside is just fine. Coffee and a pastry is a MUST!

First time at this Lovely Establishment! Coffee was great, Ambiance, Food Excellent. Highly recommend the French Toast and The Avocado Toast with Perfectly Poached Eggs will return!

Absolutely love this place! It's a cute cafe in south Miami and serves great dishes. Today I had the huevos Ibericos which were absolutely delicious. Also tried a bite of the short rib grilled cheese (WOW) and I've previously had the chilaquiles which are GREAT. Staff is always friendly and attentive. I recommend if you're in the area and even if you're not it's worth a drive

I got the eggs Benedict croissant (the portion felt small for the plate size) and the potatoes. The food was also a little cold. I saw the vision with the potatoes, they were mashed and either fried or baked into dollops; however, they were tragically under seasoned. I had a bite of my friends French toast, it was delicious. I like the concept of the eggs Benedict croissant, I think it was executed well, just wish there was a little more. My main complaint is that my meal was interrupted 5 times, from three different waiters who seemed to really need my plate. I still had a quarter of a croissant left and my potatoes. The servers were just really persistent. Maybe something was blocking the food from their vision. I was just enjoying my meal and my friends company, after the fifth ask I reluctantly allowed them to take my plate. Overall pretty good, I will come again. Hopefully after they get their next plate shipment in.

I was rather disappointed by the coffee at Cecile bakery. I ordered a chia tea latte with an additional espresso shot. It tasted like an American cold brew topped with cinnamon at the top. There was no chai flavor whatsoever. The mocha latte was similar. The topped the drink with dry mocha powder which added no flavor to the drink. Macaroons were good but not good enough to up the rating unfortunately

Super cute and trendy! Their food is also pretty good! I truly enjoyed their tuna croissant! The service was decent and you can pay with Apple Pay which is a plus.

Really enjoyed the green smoothie after my morning workout. Highly recommend if you want to grab a healthy smoothie without too much sugar.

Delicious is the best way to describe this brunch style with an emphasis on breakfast place! The short rib sandwich is a little greasy but good. The chicken pillard was awesome on a bed of arugula with a lemon vinaigrette. The eggs Benedict croissant is a popular one. The side salad offered is ok but a good replacement are Cecile's potatoes, which are like a little Hershey's kiss shaped mashed potato with a hard outside. The regular French fries are a good option as well. Desserts are good and is available for grab and go. I tried an individual dessert called La vie en rose. It's a light lemon sponge cake with raspberry and white chocolate in the middle,which was kind of like a jelly. It's was shaped like a rose with a gold flake on top. Service has been great and are seated quickly and rarely wait for a table. The restaurant also has a relaxed vibe with a slight Parisian feel.

I have driven by here a few times and it always looks busy so I decided to give it a try. I don't get the glowing reviews for this place. I was not impressed with the food and probably wouldn't return. I had a crepe and in their efforts to try to make it more healthy they make a buckwheat version of a crepe and they failed miserably. A regular crepe would have been much better. It was so dry and crepe was hard and overall not a lot of flavor. It was difficult to finish and probably the worst crepe I have had. Someone else ordered the shakshuka and it was just okay. All food ordered was not hot, lukewarm at best. The coffee was good but that is not enough of a reason to return. Everything else on the menu was pretty basic and could be ordered at any other restaurant serving breakfast. I like First Watch for breakfast way more than this place & it's half the price.

The perfect place for a coffee date or study spot! It's super cute inside & they have a good amount of seating! I ordered the Prosciutto Sandwich, it was super yummy, I really liked the bread it came on. I'm very picky about my fries and these were amazing, they were super crispy! I also tried my friends Breakfast Sandwich and I will definitely be ordering that next time I come, the eggs were cooked perfectly & the croissant was so flaky & soft! I will definitely be back to try more menu options & some of their pastries!

My breakfast at this location was so delicious! The service was fast despite the fact that it was pretty packed. I really love breakfast so when I find a place where the food is so good I never forget. You can run in and get coffee and pastries if you are in a rush but sitting down outside is a nice experience too! Coffee is so good.

I came here for lunch but I'm not recommending it for lunch. I think it's a better spot for breakfast/brunch. I got a breakfast bowl and it was super clean and kept me full without feeling gross. I also had an iced coffee and my mom had a decaf coffee. She said it was amazing!

Soooooo good. They have great delectable sandwiches, coffee was amazing and they'd French beers just right. I really love this French spot and I can't wait to go back. My favorite was the short rib grilled cheese on rye - beat sandwich ever. Tomas was a great server - kind and friendly. Tomas thank you for the great service !

Came to Cecile for breakfast with my best friend and her niece. I've heard a lot of good things about this place so I was excited to try it out. We started off with an iced mocha and a capuchino (not pictured). They were both good. I had the breakfast sandwich with a side salad. It was great. Everything tastes fresh. My best friend had the tuna salad sandwich (not pictured). She said the tuna was regular and the croissant tasted freshly baked. The fries were great, perfect blend of crispy and potatoe-y. Her niece had the 2 eggs with toast and salad. She likes her eggs more dry but they looked good. She loved the pancakes. We got them plain without any fruits or chocolate chips. Our service was great. Our waiter was quick and responsive. The place was super cute and clean. Overall good experience.

After a doc appt, my wife and I wanted to grab something in the Coral Gables area since we still had time before I picked up my vehicle from the collection. Looking for a new place to try without an overwhelming menu and healthy options. It was about 930am, not crowded, there some people sitting outside and inside. We were immediately greeted at the door and shown a table. Offered water and given menus. Our server came over to get our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. My wife had mocha latte and I ordered a cappuccino. For entrees my wife ordered the veggie quice with side salad and I got the French toast. It was simple and delicious. I didn't even use the syrup for my French toast. My wife said her food was great and hit the spot. We would definitely come back here again the food and service was outstanding!

Solid breakfast restaurant in Sunset area. It was pretty busy for 930am on a Saturday morning. The place was adequately staffed, very clean ans spacious. Outdoor tables are available during the nicer Miami weather. Quick, accurate, and friendly service. The bakery had delicious pastries and decadent desserts. My meal was good -- the bacon was crunchy, eggs were good (1 scrambled egg would've been enough for me) and the bread for my liking should've been toasted a bit more. The tomatoes were fresh -- they were great to add it as a side, even if not offered as an option.

Quaint breakfast in Sunset! Outdoor seating. Good cappuccinos. Breakfast croissant sandwich was good but new cook messed up the potato order. Quiche was also good but too crusty. Prices high but comparable to others nowadays.

9 us visited to celebrate a special occasion. Great service Great food (I had the Asian Short rib Sandwich) Modestly priced Atmosphere casual chic My only suggestion is add some background music... Would recommends and visit again

We enjoyed our brunch here! It was very busy when we came, but they still found us a seat very quickly and were kind. The café itself is decorated in a very cute way and the place is very light and airy. We got the avocado toast as well as two iced latte and it did not disappoint.

Absolutely love this establishment; everything from the food, service and ambiance. The owner is so sweet, she is from France and is very friendly. All of their pastries are delicious, coffees as well. From the food,y favorite is their side potatoes. They are SO unique and delicious.

Stopped in for brunch before going to the movies; I ordered the Salmon Tartine and was pleasantly surprised at how filling it was! Service was pretty good, but they were very busy. the service was quick and straight forward, didn't have to wait long for my food and we sat outside which was very nice. super casual place, a lot of people go after the gym or cycling! the coffee was amazing and the pasture raised eggs tasted fresh and delicious!!

Found this hidden gem on an early Thursday morning and decided to sit outside and have some breakfast. The waiter was nice and very accommodating with the tables as the sun was coming out and it seemed rather sunny where we sat. He also informed us that they had mimosas so why not. We had one to try. Now I'm not big on Mimosas but this was actually really refreshing. The iced coffee and iced matcha were delicious. Love when places has milk replacements - we were able to substitute for oat milk. If this bakery was not so far from me, I'd get my morning coffee here. The breakfast was amazing. Their version of huevos rancheros (which actual name I can't remember right now) was so tasty. It had the right amount of flavor and egg to cheese ratio. The egg scramble was exactly how I make it at home. No runny, watery scrambles over here! Now the star of the show was the Cecile potatoes. When I say these potatoes melt in your mouth I am not exaggerating. It's like a fluffy potato pillow in the cutest little shape and taste. We were too full to try the pastries but most definitely coming back to try their croissants which looked amazing.

Amazing place! The food is outstanding as is the service. Our waiters were super friendly, attentive and helpful. The food is the star of the show, made to order and tastes great. The plating presentations are clean and well done. The quantity of food is just right. We left totally satisfied and eager to try more dishes. A definite must if you're in the area. We will certainly be back soon!

The weather was OK a bit rainy so I decided to sit outside because inside was more crowded. I ordered the Shakshouka, I found it OK not particularly delicious. I did sit outside and some unpleasant issues, not the restaurants fault. The service was very good.

Garbage. We came, waited 45 minutes for a waiter. Our empanada appetizer was tiny, three of us had to split 2 tiny empanadas. My French toast was dry and bland. Had three fuzzes in it too. My friend's food was garbage, heavy, made her super sick and when we asked to swap it out for something else, were told NO because nothing was wrong with it. I gave my friend my leftovers since they were planning to charge us for a new plate and honestly was very turned off by the service we received. Food could have been way better and just was NOT. Disgusting to treat paying customers this way and not have any remorse for your mistakes and horrible cooking.

Eggs Benedict Croissant is my fave (add smoked salmon) makes it 10x better! I love the potatoes served along with and the chai and matcha lattes are really good. The monkey bread is a hit for me too. I love the ambiance and the service is always pretty quick.

If you want a delicious breakfast, definitely make a stop at Cecile! I have taken friends and family to this restaurant and everyone has been able to find something they like! They have indoor and outdoor seating options available and have takeout! I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich with the Cecile potatoes!

Must try French bakery in South Miami. I have been so good at avoiding bread for several months now, but unfortunately it all ended at Cecile's. Words cannot describe their almond croissant. In my opinion, it's the best almond croissant I've ever had in my short life. The inside is perfectly moist and stuffed with soft almond custard. I cannot get enough of this croissant and it's a problem. Aside from their pastries their breakfast and coffee is pretty tasty. The owner of Cecile is a sweetheart. I asked her what one of the pastries was and what it tasted like and she gave me one for free. That was the sweetest thing ever.

I went to Breakfast at Ceciles & was surprised that it was so full , but was lucky enough to still get a table from the Girl upfront . Obviously I knew that I was in for a treat just by looking around the room and seeing the delicious pastries and breakfast items. I ended up ordering the Salmon Eggs Benedict & the French toast that comes with strawberries. Everything was delicious and the service was great ! Ps ... You will have to park on the street in a meter

The place is very nice it's always crowded the food is excellent and so is the service the location is perfect. This is lika trending spot, but please stop serving frozen butter blocks. It takes away from the experience.
