The Most Fantastic Philly Brunch Cocktails | Eater Philly

"With a menu inspired by retro-American classics, brunch at Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen is full of feel-good nostalgia. Among its brunch beverage offerings are the breakfast citywide special (a dynamic duo of Coffee PBR with a shot of vanilla vodka) and the hazeltini (a martini made with espresso hazelnut-infused vodka, espresso liqueur, and coffee)." - George Banks-Weston

Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen Review - Fishtown - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"If you’re new to Fishtown and want to get a good feel for the neighborhood, have some friends meet you at Cedar Point. With one of the best (and biggest) deck spaces around, their location at a six-way intersection is the ultimate in people watching real estate. Feel free to set up shop for the day and continue ordering drinks and shared plates as your friends come and go. The buffalo wings served with fried Brussels sprouts and the pickle burger are both major crowd pleasers." - Jordan Price

Great little find. Just down the street from Hotel Anna & Bel, where we were staying. This local bar & kitchen fit the bill when we wanted a filling meal after a long day of sightseeing. We ordered a Cedar Point Cobb Salad (it was delicious & big) and a specialty grilled cheese sandwich. The fries were delicious and plentiful. Service was great, and we ended the evening with a specialty cocktail—wish I could remember the name, but it was tasty. We were here in January, but I'm sure during warmer weather, the patio would be fun to enjoy and people-watch. Great little spot in Fishtown! Definitely recommend. Note: 20% gratuity is added to the bill automatically. Not a problem for us, as we always appreciate good service.

Tried this place for a happy hour. Ordered the classic combo fries and beer. Fries were not as crispy but tasted great! I’m a cider and sour beer person so I tried their cider and it was your average cider. Definitely recommend going for happy hour but wouldn’t pay full price

Was in Philly, so stopped in here for a quick bite. Overall, service is decent and food was good, portions are larger than I expected. What annoyed me and why I won't return is dining in automatically adds "20% gratuity" to your bill. Absolutely unacceptable and I won't get caught again.

Google
Why can’t I give this place 10 stars? Not only were all the drinks and meals my party ordered spectacular (try the lentil shepherds pie, trust me) but the service was WAY above and beyond! One member of our group is allergic to everything under the sun, and was perfectly content to not eat. The manager, of his own accord, came to our table multiple times determined to find something she could eat. Eventually he solved it, and here she is beaming with her 6 strips of bacon cooked in a clean separate pan. Best service ever, can’t wait to be regulars.

The street corn appetizer is really good! I liked the food here overall. I would just say the wild mushroom pasta is sweet and barely has a sauce on it. I was expecting more savory and a lil more creamy sauce to it

My family and I attempted to come here for breakfast. This is our second time there and really enjoyed the first experience. Well this time was so effin much different. We went in with our melanated son and was told they didn’t have any seats. They then told us it would be a 20 minute wait. Well about 10 minutes later a caucasian group walks in and is seated almost immediately. We don’t judge the situation because maybe they had reservations. However, the next group of 4 caucasians walked in and was seated immediately right after another 4 caucasians left. I approached the waiter and asked what the problem is with the melanin in my skin. Bottom line I will never ever go here again. I suggest that our people keep our money in our community. We don’t have space for a place like this. Let them keep their caucasian customers happy, but I suggest after experiencing the racism I did today that we never ever go to a place like this. TO MY MELANATED PEOPLE FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO EAT AND SPEND OUR MONEY

Husband didn't love his biscuit 2 ways and the fries are on the thin and soft side versus thicker and crispy. The mushroom omelette was really good.

Google
A really nice little place. This was our third time, though we hadn't been there since before the pandemic. Luckily, the food was still great and there was a good selection of beers available. I had a nice New England IPA from Thin Man in New York this time around. Went well with a very tasty Crabcake Club Sandwich with a side Caesar Salad. I loved it. Thick cut bacon, nice tomatoes. My son really enjoyed his Cubano sandwich with pulled pork, ham, and cheese. He raved about the mustard sauce on it. My wife's Buffalo Cauliflower Caesar Salad was also very good, though she thought it to be pretty spicy - I did not, though. YMMV. We ate outside at a picnic table, though there was also deck and indoor seating available. A lot of staff working the place - very attentive. Perhaps not what you'd call a real value deal joint, but we found it well worth the cost. Three meals and one beer cost us around $55 total, pre-tip. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Cedar Point has been the gift that keeps giving for me over the years, going back to 2015. I went on the first date with my wife, who lived in Fishtown at the time, there that summer. I moved to the neighborhood the following year, and it became our go-to quizzo spot until we moved out of the area. During that time, it also got me into eating brussels sprouts, as they were part of the chicken wing appetizer. From 2018 - 2022, we didn't frequent it much because it took more effort to do so; we tend to get tunnel-visioned (or just lazy) about restaurants and bars in the neighborhoods we live in. Well, we moved back to Fishtown about a year and a half ago (yes, we've bounced around a fair bit), and Cedar Point is very much back in the mix. The kitchen does strong work, outdoing a number of similarly sized pub-fare places in the area. Wings, pierogis, the rotating variations on their Drunk & Cheesy sandwiches, the street corn, red curry chicken cheesesteak, chicken & waffles? All things I or people close to me can vouch for from the last few months (or this week, in the case of the chicken & waffles happy hour sandwich and the elote). They also offer a nice, thoughtful range of cocktail options and a solid beer list. Touching base on a few other things I like about Cedar Point: - I mentioned a happy hour menu item - their happy hours give you impressive bang for your buck. While I haven't been there to partake, they also offer a 12 - 4 weekday lunch special and maybe even some kind of late night one (don't quote me on that one) - they still, eight or so years on from when I used to go, offer a leisurely paced Monday quizzo/trivia that starts around 7:00 - their outdoor patio space is a great spot to post up on a mild day If you're interested in a casual bite and/or drink in Fishtown or an easy Monday out, you can do a whole lot worse than CP.

Yelp
Casual place, decorated with a hideaway tavern kinda feel. A lot of plants everywhere. Cute outdoor patio. The service was good overall. The staff were friendly and our food came out at an appropriate time. The food overall was good - especially the fries!! The burger just needed something more... You have to pay extra for any toppings other than lettuce or tomato. Could've used other condiments with it, even a mustard. But otherwise was good.

Yelp
The food here has always been decent. The last couple of times the service has been sub par. We waited 15 minutes with our food getting cold in front of us while the server went to find us silverware and napkins. We had to keep walking in to the bar to ask for basic things. The outside deck is quite nice and we love the fried pickles. But bad service and mandatory 20% tip added on just will make me think twice about returning
google avatar

Yelp
Really good food and solid beer options at Cedar Point. They have a great outdoor patio, but we chose to eat inside because it was super hot out. We enjoyed the wings with Brussel sprouts and apricot horseradish cream. I almost always love wings, but I've never had them prepared this way - a unique, delicious twist! The red beans with eggs was also something I don't normally see on menus and really enjoyed. Will happily return when in the neighborhood!

Yelp
We had a great yappy hour brunch today - I always forget how great Cedar Point's brunch menu is. Chicken cutlet sandwich and biscuits two ways were both excellent. The host brought our dogs treats and toys out on the deck and kept treating our newer dog who is a bit scared of strangers until she was taking treats from him and letting him pet her. Meal service was a bit slow - took a while to place our order and my husband never did get his second beer - but it was a beautiful spring day and we were fine to just chill outside and enjoy the good food and nice weather.

Yelp
I visited Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen for happy hour and enjoyed the food and service. I felt everything was reasonably priced for the amount of food I got, and the staff was super sweet to me despite the after work rush. The HH menu had some unique items like a fried chicken waffle slider. The star of the show was the fried frog legs with honey glaze, but they were annoying to eat because of all the little bones. Cool thing to try if you've never eaten an amphibian. I had an issue with the fried coating on the chicken and frog legs. It flaked off whenever I bit into the meat, which bothered me because I needed to reattach it for the flavor. After all, the point of having the coating is so that it complements the meal. I probably won't be back, mostly because the experience didn't really wow me, but I would go again with friends who haven't tried frog legs before.

Yelp
20% automatic tip on all checks is not cool. I spoke to regular customer who was not aware of policy, so it is not made super clear.

Yelp
The alligator app is delicious! The bean salad that accompanied it had lots of flavor and it was a large portion. The empanadas were large and also good flavor with a really tasty avocado dip. The sourdough grilled cheese was standard but I enjoyed the balsamic glaze. The server was conscientious and made sure we got the alligator app before the last one was ordered. The vibe is chill with great laid back music. It is winter but in the summer there is a nice outdoor patio which is almost unheard of in Fishtown. Will be back!

Yelp
My friend and I were hungry. Decided to stop in for some food. We sat down at the bar at 3:40. Bartender told us they close at 4 on Sundays. We asked if it was ok to order food and he assured us it was fine. We placed our order. I enjoyed the Buffalo cauliflower Caesar salad. It was very good! My friend has the green hash with scrambled eggs. She was pleased. We didn't feel rushed at all, which was good. I'd like to go again, earlier, we I have time to hang out a bit.

Yelp
Food was great Service was a bit slow Do not understand why a restaurant already adds 20 % service charge The Owner should prob pay employees a better wage If only I could have added minus 4 % on the amount I woudl have Adding standard 20% to customers will counter additional tipping I won t return

Yelp
I love visiting this place on the patio w my dog. The food never disappoints when we go in person. However, we recently had it delivered and the Crab Rangoon egg rolls were absolutely disgusting. I just threw up in my mouth thinking about them; I'm actually having a visceral reaction to thinking about these crab egg rolls - they were the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth, and that's saying a lot.

Yelp
Different cheesesteak #1037 in the last four years. It was Tuesday. Drinks and Cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Cedar Point has a Red Curry Cheesesteak that is made with Seitan or Chicken. I may have forgotten I knew that before we got there. Amigo Dan wasn't around when I ordered so I went with the Seitan. We liked the roll, red curry aioli, grilled peppers & onions. It came with French fries and they were salty. Between the cheesesteak and fries it was very salty. We liked our drinks, sitting outside and Evette so we ordered the chicken red curry cheesesteak and asked for no salt on the french fries. That was a much better experience. Amigo Dan's commentary on the Seitan and salty fries is classic Amigo Dan. His commentary can be seen in my full video.

Yelp
Went here for a Saturday brunch- no egg dishes available (like omelette, fried eggs, scrambled eggs) much to my gluten-free dismay. Your options are two breakfast sandwiches- on bread, ofc. When I inquired abt gf options, the waitress told me I could do the breakfast sandwich without the bread.. but something about paying 14$ for a fried egg, a slice of bacon, and a tomato is kind of off-putting to me. I ended up getting the 8oz flat iron steak- tasty, but overcooked (asked for medium and got med-well w no pink) and had an awkward tablespoon of cold herb butter on top (should have been a melty consistency to spread on the steak). Service for *that* dish was very slow- took about 30 mins, and my other 6 friends were already almost finished with their meals when it arrived. Overall average experience, indoors aesthetic is tired and while the waitresses are really cheerful, one spilled water in front of me and did not clean it up or provide extra napkins, just gave an empty "oh I'm sorry! :)". Probably wouldn't go back for brunch- I could see this being a nice casual local dinner place for getting beers and such, but the breakfast experience was sub-par.

Yelp
Took a trip into Philly and arrived starved! Quickly googled what was open and happened upon this restaurant. SO glad we landed up here!! For appetizers we had the fried pickles and the old bay pierogis. Both were delicious but the fried pickles were out of this world. The best fried pickles I've ever had. So often you lose the pickle flavor but these were thick-cut and really had all the right flavors. The dipping sauce was great too. For dinner I had the chicken cutlet sandwich with fries and my friend had the FGT Club with fries. We loved both sandwiches. The chicken cutlet was well cooked and sizable with another delicious sauce. The green tomato was very flavorful and the bacon was nice and crispy. The fries deserve their own credit, you can tell they're homemade which it's just another plus! If you like a darker, moodier date spot, this place is a good contender!

Yelp
The food is always good. Their fried brussel sprouts are good. I got the buffalo cauliflower Caesar salad. The buffalo cauliflower was spicy and the dressing was so good. The service was fast and the servers were nice

Yelp
Cedar Point in Fishtown! Shout out to Nina!!! Great Service! Thanks for the Hot Pants Margy!!! Great choice

Yelp
Loved this place normally but came today and they sat us and no one came back for 20 minutes. It wasn't busy so not sure what happened. We actually had to call over the server after a while to just put drinks in! (After sitting for 20 min). Every other table was receiving great service? Makes me question why... my bf was the only black patron in the restaurant. Back dining seats are too close to the bathrooms. Drinks were ok but the mule was straight tart and sweet. Didn't taste like alcohol at all. Croquettes were cold. The entrees were really good and service did get better through out the meal as multiple people stopped by asking if everything was okay. Lastly, gratuity was already added on 20%, when service was subpar. Not sure if we'll come back.

Christina B.

Yelp
Used to love Cedar Point - but both service and food have really gone downhill. Used to go almost weekly but we're going to less and less and will likely stop. Service: 1. Staff is very slow to take orders, check-in, and refill water - basics. 2. I've had a few unclean glasses recently which feels like bare minimum. I'm not talking about water spots but like sticky "stuff" on glasses - pretty gross. Food: 1. Veggie wings used to be one of the best in the city - now they are dry and burnt. 2. Buffalo cauliflower caesar used to be a favorite - they've since added kale to the salad but don't bother massaging it so it's tough. And they won't serve it with romaine only. Note: Adding hooks to the 2-person tables would be a welcome upgrade - there isn't enough room for coats or purses on the tables.

Edward B.

Yelp
Food is always so spot on. Always rotating menus keep things fresh and inviting. Staff is always amazing attentive and suggestive. Nice quiet place for lunch and a go to for me and my pup on the nicer days. Never felt more accommodated
google avatar

Noelle W.

Yelp
I didn't actually go in person so this review is about my delivery experience. I'm glad they do offer delivery through a 3rd party app because I've been wanting to try Cedar Point for a long time! I ordered the tempeh Reuben - as a vegetarian, I love this sandwich and appreciate the veg option! (Thanks!). I got fries as my side, classic. The delivery was smooth and timely, and my sandwich was delicious! It was a decent size and had nice crispy bread and good size pieces of tempeh. I really liked it! And the fries were sooo delicious too and they gave me a really big portion! I ate it all!

Yelp
First off, check the picture. They get 5 stars for that creative customer service win alone. My name is Isaac if you couldn't figure it out. Ordered take out. 3 of us ordered and shared the vegan wings, Mac n cheese, gnocchi, fries and tempeh Reuben sandwich. We had a lot of leftover food (big portions). Standouts were um, everything (minus fries they were good but normal good). If I had to pick just one, it would be the gnocchi for flavor. The wings were unique and bomb with the brussel sprouts as a twist. Mac n cheese was dank and everything you'd expect. Appreciate the menu options, lots of variety and the vegan friendly options too

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Fried pickles were amazing but the mac & cheese was beyond bland & disgusting. I couldn't even eat more than one bite. Box/frozen mac & cheese is way better. Whatever cheese they used smelled weird but I'm not sure how it was both tasteless & horrible. Fries were good. The cheesesteak was also a waste. Fine service but to include an automatic 20% at the bar is crazy especially when it's not clear on the receipt that the tip is included
google avatar

Kyra L.

Yelp
They have a great beer list and the food is good as well! When the weather is nicer out their patio is a great spot for happy hour drinks and snacks. Try the Buffalo cauliflower Caesar salad, it sounds like a weird combo but I love it!
google avatar

Kimberly A.

Yelp
I would have loved to give this place another star even two but I kinda left with a bad taste in my mouth. We visited in may 2021 and everything was great until we were charged a 20% gratuity fee. It was only my gf and I and we visited before the dinner rush on a Tuesday. I'm used to being charged gratuity when I'm with a large party or if I am in a tourist area but this was Fishtown. I've work in hospitality and I always like to tip 20% regardless so being forced to without warning was a bit unsettling. Food and drinks were 8/10. Prices a bit high for the area in my opinion.

Desiree K.

Yelp
Customer service was beyond unprofessional, the manager needs to leave his job because he has absolutely no people skills and does not care for his customers! I ordered through grub hub and my order consisted of Crab Eggs Benedict which include bernaise sauce on the side and a biscuit with apricot ginger jam and Macaroni and Cheese. So when I received my order I opened my entree which was cold and there was no bernaise sauce on the side and no biscuit with apricot ginger jam. I called the restaurant and basically 3 people got on the phone and eventually they said they were sending me a new entree out in 15 min; it was 30 min and no call; went to my lobby and no food left; I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and he said I had to pick it up; I stated to him your restaurant made the mistake and you stated you were delivering to me in 15 min. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone for there poor customer service and their food is under rated and over priced!! Don't waste your time with Cedar Point!!! Go spend your money elsewhere. Like Suraya!! Excellence and the owner to match!!!!

The swordfish sandwich was AMAZING highly recommend. The drinks were also great Great place!

Yelp
The specials are not excellent every time but their kitchen definitely intrigues me, and I'm willing to try every special they offer after having perhaps the oddest concoction I've ever had...and loving it. The specials change on a regular basis and by the end of the week can run out. They always have an empanada and grilled cheese but the innards change every week or so. When the season's right they have a delicious chicken dumpling soup. Had a pulled pork and apples over waffle dish that was delightful. And the latest special I had that impressed me: a butterfish surrounded by purple potatoes sitting on top of a banana sauce and drizzled with a caramel. Sweetness with your fish? I know it sounds bizarre but I loved it. Their shrimp red beans and rice is also delicious and a regular entree item; I could order that dish every time and not get tired of it. Service is attentive. It's a casual bar with a few TVs typically playing sports or music videos, in front of which are several high tops with seating and beyond the bar are several tables. They also have a patio out front for nicer weather.

Frank M.

Yelp
To charge $15 for a chcicken cutlet sandwich and not even tenderize the chicken thigh with a mallet is insulting. It's just a fried chicken sandwich with onions and spinach. Trash.

V B.

Yelp
Soggy, horrible fried pickles. Same goes for the wings. Cocktails tasted like mocktails. Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Cedar Point blew me away. Such a great place to dine in Fishtown. I loved the theme they had going, especially with the leg lamp at the hostess' podium. A great first impression! There's plenty of seating; high top tables, regular tables and seats at the bar. When I walked in today at 1:00, I was prepared to wait, but to my surprise, the hostess said they had a table available so we were seated rather quickly. Service was pretty good. They only serve lunch on weekdays apparently. I learned that the hard way when I tried to order something from the lunch menu and the waitress said they only have brunch on weekends. It's not listed on their website as such so I assumed I could go in on the weekend and order a lunch item. Nope. After that minor annoyance, we ordered the Everything Bagel Fritters... wow. THE BEST! I think I liked these equally as much as my meal. It was pieces of everything bagel, goat cheese and Muenster cheese fried to perfection and served with an aioli dip. I loved them so much. My meal was the Fried Egg BLT. I substituted the regular bacon for vegetarian Tempeh bacon. They also have an option of eggplant bacon. The BLT is on sourdough bread and there are pieces of avocado stuffed inside, too. Comes with a side of breakfast potatoes. It was scrumptious. For 2 people, it was $53. We ordered 3 alcoholic beverages as well so I think that's fair game. I genuinely enjoyed the food, though. Will be back soon!

Yelp
The food was great ! I order the fried pickles they were so fresh still nice and hot but I could not get over the sauce they came with, soo delicious . I also ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich with fries and the fried pierogi with bbq pulled pork! Amazing ! Everything was just amazing !

Bob J.

Yelp
I went there for lunch today. I'm unfamiliar with the area, (my friend lives nearby and suggested we lunch there). It was a nice sunny day and we sat on the patio. Our waiter was efficient and friendly, (asked if we'd like the awning opened for shade which was a considerate offer). I just had a burger and fries which were very very good, (my friends polenta fries were delicious), and he had a great looking chicken salad. Yes, they add a 20% gratuity which is a bit naughty, I'm not sure what prompts them to do this, but it saves tipping although I think it's rather presumptuous but we're hardly talking fine ding here. I'd certainly return.
google avatar

Yelp
I used to not care for this place very much but man they really stepped up their brunch game. The crab Benny and omelet were amazing and so were the cocktails. Definitely will be back

Yelp
Saw their menu on their website and It looked great! Was very disappointed, however, when we actually got there and tried the food. We got the grapefruit vodka drink which wasn't bad. For food we had some small plates and one main course to share. - crab Rangoon sliders - had half of It and sent the other half back. So greasy and lacked taste. - cauliflower fritters - boy was this a confusing meal! Spicy and not tasty at all!! - spankopita- only thing out of what we ordered that we actually liked. The pita that came with It was also good. - the almond cheese gnocchi. Sounds amazing, right? Tasted not as good. Can't say It was terrible, but It definitely wasn't my fave. Out of so many amazing restaurants in Philly, definitely won't be coming back here.

Yelp
If you're vegan, SAVE your money & go elsewhere. First, the person in front of me didn't have a mask and the host was making a big deal of it when literally no one seated, whom are eating and talking, is wearing a mask. Like just hand him his food & let him go. I understand safety precautions but I felt like she was being dramatic, it was just a takeout. *Im not an anti masker, I was wearing my mask, but don't like how the person was confronted. The food, not the best. The vegan cheesesteak was ok, with BIG chunks of seitan. No one wants a cheesesteak with chunks of "meat", it seems very lazy, chop the seitan in strips! The vegan wings are the same consistency as the cheesesteak. Brussel sprouts were on point. French fries seems like they didn't cook it all the way, and you could taste the hard potato. Will not be coming back here again, rather go to Triangle Tavern where the cheesesteak & wings are ALWAYS on point.
google avatar

Kara A.

Yelp
Lots of vegan options & they're great! I've had both the seitan wings & the red curry cheesesteak & I really enjoyed both. Thank you so much for having options! Plus they have a large patio.
google avatar

Kara R.

Yelp
I love the diverse drink and food menu, and a happy hour that goes until 7 PM (for those of us that don't get home until almost 6). We had a table of 4, we were sat immediately outside, and we all left happy and full. One of my favorite things to do is try new cocktails, so I took advantage and tried the Aviation (DELICIOUS) and the Bitter Baby (good, but not my personal favorite). I got the red curry chicken cheesesteak, which I was wary of (I didn't want something too spicy), but the server reassured me that it wasn't so much 'spicy' as it was 'spiced.' And they were right! It was not spicy at all, and had a good amount of flavor. Side salad and the fries were both good side options. I've heard great things about the brunch, and there were about 5 other things on the menu I wanted to try, so I'm sure we'll be back!
google avatar

Nicole U.

Yelp
I usually love this place, but today was horrible and I don't think I'm going to return again because of it. I went alone with my pup at around 3pmish, I was sat outside at a picnic table. The host brought me and my pup some water, and that was it. Nothing else for roughly 20 minutes. Kept making eye contact with the server who wasn't really busy and didn't receive any help. I get really self conscious when I go out to eat alone and this just made me feel horrible about doing that. I ended up leaving because I didn't get service and would rather spend my money elsewhere.

Carly P.

Yelp
This place has potential if they changed some things. They have an absolutely amazing menu, but server did not tell us there was only a brunch menu. You know when you're really hungry and excited about food? Yeah well that was me. I wanted empanadas, pierogies, onion rings, and a cheesesteak. Only to be told "only brunch". Brunch menu is ass. I can't eat eggs cause IBS- spoiler alert the entire brunch is eggs eggs eggs. I'm a hangry fatty mgoo who's pissed.
google avatar

Antonina E.

Yelp
Gonna be quick on this one, because hopefully I'll be back soon for dine in. We went here a month or so ago and decided to order food to go so we could sit on my friends rooftop to indulge. The seitan wings with buffalo sauce amazing. And the accompanying apricot horseradish dipping sauce and roasted Brussels sprouts? Oí vey. Their fries are also stellar, and my actual meal was the seitan mushroom cheesesteak. Didn't know vegan blue cheese could taste like.. well blue cheese. The prices are very fair. Definitely order from here if you're a vegan fan* (I'm not vegan but I dabble often)

Yelp
This is in. great area that was a short walk from our Airbnb. The food was delicious and we had great service! We will definitely come back the next time we're in Philadelphia.

I really love this place! This is actually my 2nd or 3rd time here and I'm not sure why I am just now writing a review! The vibe is super chill & the staff is just as friendly and attentive. There is an outside patio if you want to dine outside as well as high & low top tables and some seating at the bar. The menu is great because it's a great combination of vegan & non-vegan eats. My sister is vegan so it's always a place that has plentiful options for her but when I sent the menu she loved it. The drinks are great & again, the food is amazing. Everything is great here but the chicken wings and Brussel sprouts are to die for! My sister got the BBQ vegan version & the sauce was a amazing. If I would change anything about my order, it would have been to get the BBQ sauce instead of buffalo- buffalo was great, but the BBQ was amazing. Again, great chill place with awesome drinks & plenty of food options!

Yelp
This was a really good corner restaurant/bar in Fishtown. We had the perogie nachos which were very unique and delicious. The main meals we had were delicious and the beer selection had a wide variety of styles. The vibe of the location was really cool with both high and low tables and a nice bar. The only thing that put me off a little bit was that any bill for in dining eating automatically had a 20% gratuity tacked on to it. The service we had was really good so I would have given at least that amount as a tip but to have it automatically tacked onto the bill was something I'd never run into before and felt a little presumptuous.

Yelp
OK! So the only complaint I have is that I had a hard time ordering because there were SOOO many great options!!! I settled on the Specials ('cause you can't go wrong with the Specials, right?) I hit a home run!!! We started with the Mississippi Punch special cocktail for the night. It was smooth with a kick that put us right at ease for lay ahead... My husband and I shared the buffalo wings and fried Brussel sprouts appetizer that was extra yummy dipped in the ranch sauce I got on the side. My husband wasn't adventurous enough to try the Apricot Horseradish Cream that normally comes with (maybe next time). Couldn't stop eating this. Wings and sprouts were crispy and well seasoned! For my entrée, I got the BBQ Gulf Rock Shrimp w/Grit Cakes (hope I got the name right). It was a Special dish in honor of their nod to Mississippi plates this week!) Well, DAMN!!! A fresh take on shrimp & grits...4 extra large (JUMBO) shrimp swimming in a flavor-filled BBQ sauce accompanied by 2 patties made from some of the best grits I've ever had! (Made sure I dipped those cakes in that sauce, too!!!) He got the CPBK Burger cooked to perfection with great caramelized onions and fries!!! He gets his burgers well done, which usually means dry and tough, BUT NOT THIS ONE! It was succulent and juicy with a nice char flavor! One of Philly's best in our opinion! With so may great new places in Philly to eat, we have a lot of foodie adventures in our future, but we will definitely be making a trip back here SOON!!!! The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable! Whimsical décor (loved the Leg Lamp a la The Christmas Story at the entrance) and a nice option to eat indoors or out. Great place!!!

Yelp
I've been going here for about 4 years now. If I would've reviewed it the first year I'd say it was 2-3 stars. 3rd year I doubt I was there more than twice. While I was away something crazy happened. The food got spectacular. I remember the first time I was back was brunch. I forget who chose it but I'm pretty easy going so I was fine with it. I got the chicken and waffles and I was blown away. Then we went for dinner a little while later and I got the veggie wings! They are one of the top 3 for veggie wings in this area. Interstate, blackbird and cedar. Not in that order. The outside seating area is the best use of space in our area. Bringing dogs and sitting on the deck on a spring day is simply to die for. One time I was there with my dog and he let loose on the deck. Unfortunately the staff takes there break right under the deck. It was embarrassing. Also the service is always great. Though I am biased because one of the servers is half of team cheese. Meaning I used to live with her and two others. The other two disputed that cheese could make anything better. That argument is just wrong. It's fundamentally flawed logic. Cheese is really f**king good. The only thing I had there I didn't like recently was the Spam sushi. I used to like spam as a child but I think I'm over it. My mom used to put a can in my stocking every Christmas. I grew up in a trailer. It wasn't a double wide. They are doing this really cool thing right now where each month or week? They have food from a different state as the specials. I was looking through and getting pretty excited. If you live near here and haven't been I suggest you take your fur baby.

Yelp
Food was cheap and cheap tasting. Flys all over the bar. This is not a destination in fishtown.
