"This hotel restaurant furnished in rich wood accents is a firm favourite with the locals. Prime ingredients are turned into culinary gems such as sautéed lobster with egg white and caviar, and crisp silver cod in sweet and spicy sauce. For larger parties, consider pre-ordering the whole roast suckling pig with pearl barley and Yunnan ham. The windowless room may lack views, but it more than makes up for that with comfort, character and ambience." - Michelin Inspector

Have been looking forward to dine in this well-known Cantonese Restaurant for their exquisite culinary skills & elevated modern chinese cuisine. We decided to start with their basic Dim Sum dishes, before proceeding to order their mains, and we were glad. Well, its not that their Dim Sum dishes that we had been served were bad. Dishes like "Preserved Egg & Pork Congee" was silky-smooth, savoury and had all the elements of what a good bowl of congee should have. (Dish came about 15 mins after ordering). "Steamed Glutinous Rice With Diced Abalone, Conpoy And Assorted Meat Wrapped In Lotus Leaf" was well executed in terms of overall texture and flavours of the Glutinous Rice and individual ingredients, all just felt into place. (Dish came 2 mins after Congee) "Deep Fried Minced Beef With Parsley Dumpling" was quite a disappointing dish to me, even though the minced beef fillings were rich & savory in flavours, tender & evenly textured, the dumping skin did not complement well, as only the edges were crispy, part where the fillings were were soggy. (Dish came 21 mins after Glutinous Rice) "Turnip Cake" in cut pieces had crispy, golden-brown exterior with soft, slightly chewy interior packed with flavours. (Dish came 8 mins after Deep Fried Minced Beef Dumplings). However, just like their Glutinous Rice as well as Preserved Egg & Pork Congee, their Turnip Cake although was good, but not fantastic nor impressive, as we had tasted better for all 3 dishes somewhere else. Their "Steamed Rice Flour Roll With Conpoy And Crispy Shredded Turnip" although visually appealing, out of the 6 individual rolls served, i was only impressed with the 1st roll i ate, thereafter the 2nd & 3rd roll had strong dried oil flavour drenched to the Crispy Shredded Turnip. (Dish came 5 mins after Turnip Cake) Overall, we were still happy with their food base on the ingredients used, but the long waiting time of 21 minutes between our 2nd & 3rd Dim Sum Dish was ridicious, thus we ditched our idea of ordering 2 more dishes from their main menu, even though i wanted very much to taste their version of Sweet & Sour Pork and another protein dish. Not only that, the Service rendered by them was also not favorable. Service staffs were more attentive, efficient and friendly towards local or regular patrons. I can understand why, as travellers like us may only spent once, but i personally don't feel its the correct for a Michellin awarded restaurant. We did not dine for free and service staffs should have at least helped fill our tea cup with the pot of tea that we paid, like they do for their local & regular patrons. We had also been told off by one of the service staffs that we did not have to pay for Chilli condiments and they are FREE provided by the restaurant, after we asked her what type of chilli condiments do they have, so that we can decide on just one type without having her to bring out those that we do not want. Felt bullied and insulted in this case. The restaurant is spacious and well decorated with traditional chinese furnishings. Grand and Warm setting. Do check on those wooden dining chairs though, as the piece that i set on was starting to get wobbly.

Food and service are great. Servers are very professional and sincere. I will return for more fancy Chinese food. We ordered a few more things but I was too busy eating and forgot to take pictures.

My girlfriend and I recently dined at Celestial Court in Hong Kong, and while it was a decent experience, it fell short of the high expectations set by Google reviews. The restaurant itself offers an elegant, romantic ambiance, and the service was warm and attentive. However, the food, which we had heard so much about, was just average. The main courses, while tasty, didn't leave a lasting impression, especially considering the relatively high prices. I think this is a fine choice for a romantic dinner with excellent service, but the food, in our opinion, didn't quite live up to the online hype. While it's worth a visit, don't expect a culinary revelation.

Excellent in every aspect. Food. Presentation was good, taste was excellent and the dim sum dishes were served at the perfect pace such that most dishes were about to finish before the next one came. Not sure if this was deliberate or it just happened. Good job. Service. I was impressed by the staff taking reservation. She was professional and very polite. As my guest was late by quite a while, she was very reassuring and accommodating. All these happened despite having almost a full house. The manager was also very kind and professional. We agreed to using that table for an hour for our meal. However, I suspect he had heard my conversation with my guest as we were catching up, he came over to reassure us that we do not need to vacate the table and allowed us to continue chatting for another two hours. Very impressed. The rest of the restaurant befits the status and accolades she has received. My guest and I were very impressed indeed.

This is a Chinese restaurant at the Sheraton Hotel in Kowloon. They receive several Michelin Star Awards. The restaurant is huge! The dim sum was good but because of the Michelin Star I expected it to be excellent. We was actually disappointed with the Ha Goa, the skin was so thick and chewy, and dry. The pigeons were decent. The turnip cake with XO sauce was hard rather than crispy. The chicken wet and spare ribs was good. The noodle stuffed with shrimps was also good. The price was expensive.

Brilliant elevated yum cha here with fresh and decadent ingredients. It is definitely on the pricier end but worth it if you want to try elevated dim sum. The presentation, freshness of flavours is a treat and great to try though I definitely will not be making a habit to have this every time I crave yum cha. It's quite pricey and isn't as 'homey' as other yum cha joints. A standout was the steamed scallop dumpling with truffle - a flavour bomb in your mouth! The signature three steamed dumplings which consisted of sea urchin, grouper and prawn / crab was soooo rich and beautiful! Not fishy at all and such a treat to have all that seafood. Look for anything with a black star next to it on the menu as that will show you what is their chef signature dishes.

This is reported as of the most celebrated Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong. The place is very spacious & tastefully decorated with traditional Chinese paintings & beautiful furniture. The Peking roast duck was a steal, the waitress skilfully sliced the skin in front of us & arranged neatly on a plate. It was crispy & juicy which was exceptionally good. The duck meat was then served stir fried. Every other dishes were fantastic including the dessert, sesame roll & red date cake. This was a very satisfying dining experience.

Google
Old taste which I found missing many years. My first time here (definitely will go again and again) and I like the dim sum here. Five stars hotel price, you can feel the interaction between frequent customers and the staff. The sesame cake is good, I dont like the pork cake much though... Yelp
Attentive service, Very traditional Cantonese elevated dining ambiance, Average food quality. Not bad, but you can do better with your money in a foodie paradise like Hong Kong.

Yelp
My family had a family reunion dinner at Celestial Court because of the central location, good reputation for food and the ability to have a private room. We selected a set menu for the 45 of us in advance, and each dish was delicious. My favorites were the suckling pig and the longevity bun was surprisingly good. Chinese food isn't known for their desserts and this one doesn't look particularly compelling...but the bun was the right combination of a fluffy bun surrounding a sweet but nutty filling of lotus seed paste. I could've eaten dozens of those... The abalone was another pleasant surprise since I don't generally like abalone but this abalone was tender and flavorful...the things I had always heard about abalone! Hotel restaurants are never cheap and this was not an exception. It's spendy but certainly worth the quality.

Yelp
We booked a reservation for dinner on a Sunday. We were seated in an area with blaring a/c and they willingly changed our table to a warmer area. The restaurant is huge and it was busy. They gave me the gf menu and veg menu in the afternoon to review. Unfortunately they do not have a veg menu that is gf as well. Hubby ordered the meat set menu. I ordered a la carte corn soup and the sautéed veggies and garlic with rice. When my food arrived, it was only a plate of broccoli. There was miscommunication with the language barrier as I thought it would be mixed veggies. They were willing to change it but I opted to eat the broccoli (very simple bug I liked it) and canceled the rice. There was no dessert suitable for my diet so the manager offered me fruit. I asked for papaya and she kindly comped me a small plate of papaya. The washrooms were clean and the staff were very nice. I'm glad I wasn't very hungry because I was not upset eating only corn soup, broccoli and papaya. Hubbies meal consisted of sweet & sour soup, dim sum, shrimp and beef, shrimp fried rice, and a mango cream dessert. He said it was all very simple but good.

Yelp
I usually don't like to eat in hotels especially in America, but in Hong Kong, I feel like eating in hotels is where I can find somewhat-hidden semi-precious gems. I was staying at the Sheraton on this trip and inside this hotel itself I've eaten at 3 of their dining options. Celestial Court on the 2nd floor has zero view that I know of, unlike the Sky Lounge upstairs that gives a bird's eye view of Victoria Harbor. The food at CC is its selling point. I'm no connoisseur when it comes to fancy Chinese food in HK since I either grab and go, eat at cheapy places or just go where I'm told. I was told to come here for a good meal and I was not told wrong. The most memorable presentation here was the baked crab in a crab dish. Where can I get one of these?? http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/%E5%A4%A9%E5%AF%B6%E9%96%A3-%E9%A6%99%E6%B8%AF?select=1tQfj737uhgdKcQ-5akTdA#1tQfj737uhgdKcQ-5akTdA I'm a sucker for crispy bird's nest (fried noodles of a shell with whatever stir-fried on top) so I try to order that whenever I see it. This one was A-OK. Unlike Man Ho in Admiralty, the decor and table setting is pretty plain Jane and also noisier, but that's totally fine - I'd come back again and try their dinner options.

Yelp
I was staying in the hotel and had time for a quick lunch before departing Hong Kong. I opted for the set menu since it was a mix of dim sum, soup, entree, and dessert. I think it was pricey for the quality. The dim sum was fairly banal. The sweet and sour soup was bland. The entree was a duo of shrimp and beef with a side of fried rice. The shrimp was good. The beef was excellent, tender and had a delicious sauce. The fried rice was not flavorful. I didn't end up eating everything and skipped dessert. You can find better cheaper options than this place.

Yelp
This place is overpriced and the food is not very good. Do yourself a favor and take a walk to eat at local restaurants. I did not have high expectations for this place but it underachieved. The only reason we eat here was cause we were staying at the hotel. First the service failed as it was not busy at all and the service and food was so SLOOOOW. Waited 12 minutes before someone took our order, then the food almost took 30 minutes to come out and we didn't even ask for it to come over at the same time. They are just so slow. They are like the TSA at the airport, Thousands Standing Around.
