"After browsing for furniture and curios in Tlaquepaque, end your evening in Guadalajara’s shopping village with a supper of crispy antojitos bathed in tomato sauce at the cenaduría founded by Silvestra Durán 70 years ago. The pozole, red enchiladas, and tacos dorados are fantastic, but dig a bit deeper into the tastes of Guadalajara with the cafiaspirins — mini fried sopes covered with pork, shredded cabbage, onions, dry cheese, and that tangy house tomato sauce — and the caldereta, a large clay cup of pozole stock with a little hominy, pork, broken tostadas, and fixings. Old school, simple and delicious. All locals and off of the tourist hell up the street. Servings are huge , probably share with your mate .

The place is nice and service was okay, located in a local neighborhood by El Parian. They offered no salsas and I tried their enchiladas de pollo and honestly it wasn't impressive at all! I eat Mexican food all over places, but I didn't like their enchiladas!

Excellent traditional Jalisco food, and prices are very reasonable for such quality. We had the pozole and enchiladas de pollos, and the salsa de jitomates was so tasty that I almost ate the whole bowl like if it were soup. No room left for the beautiful-looking jericalla so we will come back.

This is the real deal if you are looking for authentic pozole and crispy tacos. The service is slow but the food is worth the wait.

A popular place were the locals eat. Usually very busy throughout the day. I ordered enchiladas and 3 flautas (rolled tacos) which were huge, probably equals 6 rolled tacos from the ones you get in the USA. Our order arrived quickly and the server was friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable compared the the touristy places. Give them a try. I’m sure you’ll be pleased.

This is a simple, very traditional evening eatery that serves typical nighttime dishes. Many are corn based with added meats and cheese. Fried and deep-fried. Delicious!!! Probably not for a regular diet, but certainly for a once in a while treat.
