This location is always super busy but it's for a good reason. The salad bar isn't as elaborate as the mockingbird location but the quality is just as great. Everytime I visit, employees are happy to help. The store is clean and the products are amazing.

So much variety and helpful staff! If you are looking for an upgrade to the same ole recipe - try, this is the place to go! Floral department is TOP of the line!

Wow! Such an amazing experience! I’ve never seen so many tasty options in a large/chain grocery store! If you love to cook and to visit a great grocery store to be inspired - this is the place to go!

Great selection on items you wouldn’t find in most stores, unique items (spices, etc.), their bakery is awesome (fresh goods), they have the freshest fruits, a pizza place, a salad and soup bar. I gave it four stars because customer service could be better. The cheese lady (demo) didn’t offer me a piece but did the man in front and behind me (both Caucasian). Felt awkward. But yeah, I didn’t feel good after that.

I've been coming to Central Market in Plano with my mom since I was a little kid, and it has always been a place filled with pleasant memories for me. We used to enjoy eating in the food court and indulging in healthy, delicious meals. As an adult, I recently returned to pick up a few things, and I'm happy to say that the experience exceeded my expectations. The store was clean, beautifully laid out, and an absolute joy to shop in. I must admit, I like Central Market more than Whole Foods by a mile. It offers a great variety and quality that keeps me coming back. However, my only gripe is that I came specifically for Aqua Panna, and they didn't have any in stock, which was a bit annoying since they usually do. But hey, no place is perfect. Despite that minor inconvenience, Central Market in Plano remains my favorite. I love going there whenever I get the chance.

A Food Lover's Paradise! Central Market is hands down one of the best grocery stores I’ve ever visited! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by an incredible selection of fresh produce, artisanal breads, and gourmet items that you won’t find anywhere else. Their produce section is immaculate, with vibrant fruits and vegetables that are always fresh. The meat and seafood counters are equally impressive, offering high-quality options that cater to foodies and home chefs alike. What truly sets Central Market apart is their prepared foods and bakery. From ready-to-eat meals to fresh-baked pastries, everything is top-notch. Their international and specialty food selections are a dream for anyone who loves to explore different cuisines. The store is always clean, organized, and well-stocked. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, often going out of their way to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Shopping at Central Market is more than just a grocery trip—it’s an experience. I always leave feeling inspired to cook something amazing. Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality and variety!

I’ve been coast to coast grocery shopping. Central Market is the best grocery store in the country.

Yelp
Central Market is a place of wondrous amazement for forty-somethings. I am ashamed to say that I have not shopped here in over 20 years, but today's visit completely changed that, and I can say with certainty that I will return. An array of fresh produce, meat, seafood, artisanal cheeses, several varieties of real, authentic Italian pasta, Asian and Indian products, sushi, a wide selection of specialty wines, and everything you could possibly want and more meets the eye and before you know it, you have left the store with a full cart. Each aisle was clearly marked and items were easy to find. From the time we entered the store until we self-checked out, it was a pleasant shopping experience. Josh(cheese section), Neal(cheese section), and Cory(seafood counter) were the true standouts here and all inquired if we needed assistance. The selection of cheeses were impressive - but most noteworthy is the Mitica Drunken Goat Cheese. I have enjoyed this particular cheese for years, but believe me when I say to pair it with Strawberry Prosecco Jam and place it on either a Crostini or a Sourdough Flatbread Cracker. Life-changing. You can find it with the rest of the jams and spreads. You're welcome. I then turned to Josh who helped me select a pale yellow Medium Cheddar blend to try with the scores of Sourdough Flatbread Crackers that I had previously țossed into my cart. Neal directed me to the Mozzarella Pearls and Bocconcini since I was looking for a particular brand. We chatted a bit and he mentioned that the Coit Location had undergone a recent remodel. Now that I know my way around, it will be easier to navigate the store. As we browsed the impressive variety of seafood, we were greeted by Cory with a smile. He was engaging, eager to assist, and had a professional work ethic. I was interested in the Nova Scotian Halibut. It was a pretty meaty portion and the $25 sticker price confirmed that it was of high quality. It was a delicious choice for a late lunch, as I put together a dry rub (per Cory's suggestion)and popped it in the oven. It came out flaky, fork-tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The Brown Rice Vegetable Roll Sushi and Avocado Spring Roll were both freshly handmade and placed in the display case. Took one of each; shared and enjoyed at home with Mom. In today's world, (especially with Yelp and Google Reviews which must be taken with a grain of salt), you never know what type of day someone is having and some people are downright nasty and mean, but that was not the case here. All three interactions with staff members and employees were pleasant and Customer Service was right on point. For being an upscale store, the prices are in line with what I would be comfortable spending without compromising on quality.

Yelp
The grocery store is amazing! However, I am here to write about the cooking school! My husband surprised me with a cooking class here, and we had a really fun time! Sean, Brittany, and Nancy made the experience so exhilarating! We did the "All About Chicken Class" and everything was so good! The kitchen was super clean, and pretty spacious! Our class was about 10 people and it was very hands on! At least half the class got the opportunity to cook on the stove!

Sheilicha S.

Yelp
Stopped here today for a yellow already cut up watermelon. Unfortunately they had none but I did find a small one with the help of the Operations Manager Greg. Lindsay also was very helpful and the produce female (did not get her name). She was nice as well. There was also a young gent that came outside to assist me as well ( I didn't ask him his name). Normally that's what I do before starting a conversation...so glad that I didn't just take the first two employees word for face value. Seeing Greg and him going to ask in the back for me before leaving the produce section was such a delight.

Yelp
Central Market, you make me a better Chef! I recently purchased some peach, preserves and fresh peaches to make my yummy recipe of peach, bourbon, salmon, deliciousness!!! Also I adore their sour cherry spread! I taught a Charcuterie glass at my church and showed how to serve it over Boursin cheese. All my shopping days at CM always end with success!

Guy H.

Yelp
It's been too long. Haven't been here in a few months. It was my go to for prepared foods for a while. It's so easy to buzz through here and get those items that are just a cut above. Making your days special can and should include a trip to the Central market once in awhile. Last time I was in here everything was a little chaotic and off putting. So,I haven't been back till now. I was glad to see their move towards prepackaging all the bulk items has been reversed. It's nice to get exactly the variety of olives you want. Seems they've settled back into a well stocked specialty grocer. If you are familiar with this store you either love it or hate it. There is a learning curve associated with shopping here. I suggest if you haven't been then.... Go!

Chastity W.

Yelp
My favorite grocery store. Clean, great bakery, hot foods. Fresh foods and meats are top tier.

Juanita S.

Yelp
My daughter introduced me to the Almond Croissant and I was trying my best to find one this morning. My search is over!! I found them at the Central market and it was worth the trip.

Yelp
Central Market is HEB's high-end grocery store that is the equivalent of Whole Foods. It has great quality of organic, fresh produce, but it is expensive. My husband and I come here specifically to get fresh salmon to grill or bake. You just can't beat the quality. The price isn't that much more expensive than frozen fillets from other stores, but what a difference the taste and texture are. We don't come here often because we can easily overspend and buy too much. However, we do love coming here for a few specialty items like cheese. The world selection of cheese is amazing, so are the astonishingly high prices, but oh the taste and texture of delicious European cheeses. I just have to indulge every once in a while. We also tend to buy garlic stuffed olives from the 20 foot olive bar. The selection is insane! If you are looking to try a new fruit or vegetable, this is the place to scout out something new and delicious. We recently bought green pear flavored apples just for fun. I secretly wish I lived in the apartment building across the street so that I could buy their daily prepared meal for two. They even publish a calendar so you can plan your meals accordingly. The kits have instructions on how to bake/heat up your meal so it will be fresh out of the oven for you to enjoy at home. Oh, another lovely item to get here is fresh baked bread. They make a variety of loaves and will even slice them for you. I'm certain I'm gaining weight just writing this review and salivating over all of the delicious food items that Central Market provides. It's probably a good thing we don't live closer or I would be even fatter and more broke from frequenting my all time favorite grocery store.

Carol D.

Yelp
I have only visited the store once. The store layout is a nightmare, difficult to navigate. I had to ask for directions to find my way out. Also, I was disappointed to find that so many of the bakery items contained bioengineered ingredients, which I do not consume -- ever. I can't imagine that people pay premium prices for less than quality food items.

Yelp
Love this place, fresh vegetables and fruits and the way they are setup looks like eye candy. Pumpkin patch in the from of the store is beautiful. They were giving hats for kids and information desk person was kind enough to give us couple for our kids

Bryan S.

Yelp
Fantastic service! Friendly staff. Especially in the gelato department...so many complimentary tastes. The floral staff Crystal I think her name was... My daughters got a flower from her .. they are still talking about it hours after. We walked a 1/2 block from our hotel. The playground was a big hit amongst the ladies in my family. I did buy some cookies and roses for the ladies...even though that wasn't on our short list. H.E.B definitely has a great project here with this type of store. It would flourish in OKC. Thank you for being awesome! Respectfully, Bryan

Yelp
Fresh organic produce, prepared food section has a nice selection Service is always good Ambiance - its clean and easy ti get around Always a favorite for grocery shopping

Lily H.

Yelp
I prefer this location of Central Market! Parking is open and accessible... and it is near a lot of other stores as well if you need to do other shopping. The neat feature of this location is that it has an outdoor playground for kids... great to sit and eat your yummy food while your kids play! I love the freshness of their fruits and vegetables. The selection of products here... it's just awesome!

Linda M.

Yelp
I keep finding spoiled food at Central market on Coit. Shrimp was bad the day after I bought it. My cat wouldn't even eat it. I can never tell how long some of the chef prepared dishes are good. They always tell me it's good five days past the sale by date. So what do you think about this? I bought this ranch dressing on February 27. According to the label the sell by date is March 30, 2024.

Yelp
This older original Central Market location along Coit Road, north of the PGBT 190 has had a series of remodel jobs over the past 2 years with amazing results! Shoppers pushing a cart found the older floorplan was cramped, with infamous bottlenecks... especially right at the checkout lanes! Grrrrrr! Now, all areas have a better flow for shoppers, and the Food Court "Cafe On The Run" has been updated with 2 new checkout cashiers, and 2 Self Checkout kiosks. A new Coffee Shop counte right at the north entrance has plenty of room for shoppers with carts, or not, with a Gelato counter! The Cafe On The Run customer dining room has also been remodeled, with some tables removed in favor of a "stage" for live music acts. Still has booth seating along the big windows with power outlets for laptops, etc. Outdoor seating remains, and the popular small child playground, (with picnic tables) also remains. So, a better floorplan, and places to get food, drinks, and relax a bit. Restrooms are still nice, but the 1 tiny passage way for everybody to access them remains an odd bottleneck.

Yelp
Central Market's been at this location for as long as I can remember. It's a solid store. Always generous when I ask for balloons for my toddler and fruit selection is immense. There are few things that I tend to avoid and frequent less nowadays.. Their food area for one. It's just not very good. Their flowers have gotten pricier too. Used to count on dollar stem Tuesdays but sometimes I go and it's not there. We always look for their organic ground pork and it's rare to find it. I'd say the last 10 visits, we probably were only able to find it available twice.

Amanda A.

Yelp
Best place for amazing fruits vegetables meat and fish that I've found in dfw . Prepared foods aren't bad. Love their bakery.

Coretta A.

Yelp
My go-to grocery store for the best produce, prepared meals and unique snacks selections!

Daniel L.

Yelp
Bought a Small Truffle Cheesecake for a small gathering dessert. Sliced up fine, looked great, but it was the most boring cheesecake I ever tasted. No flavor at all. Will never buy a cake from here again.

Minly L.

Yelp
Central market is like a grocery store maze. Let's get lost in the cheese section where we can pair the most funkiest of bites with the most luxurious wine from the wall of wines. Maybe take a trip down the grey tunnel of seafood and meats. Or check out their not so garden-y garden with a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables. While it may be a bit expensive, I love how Central Market has almost everything you need. On their shelf's you can find common household ingredients and not so common ingredients.

Philip L.

Yelp
Always love shopping at a central market because of the huge selection. With the craft chocolate area (which i love), i would advise checking expiration dates as sometimes the fresher stuff is placed in the back of the shelf. Great to see the waiakea water and the central market hatch chile cheddar popcorn.

Madison P.

Yelp
Such a cool grocery story with tons of fresh produce, local goods, specialty ice creams, fresher pressed juices, and even a cafe with different food to order. The apple/orange/grape fresh pressed juice was insane!!! So fresh and flavorful. I picked up a Louisiana roll from the sushi station, and it was delicious. I love their area with bakery goods, such as muffins, cookies, desserts, etc. You can also order pizza, sandwiches, and other hot food options. The one down side is that everything at the store is definitely much pricer that most other grocery stores.

Kathryn H.

Yelp
I accidentally found this store a few years back and I finally relocated it. I'm not misplacing it again. I love this place as well as my son. It's a must stop shop when we take another fun run to Dallas. These is just so many wonderful things about it. It's more of a adventure than a shopping experience. There's always something to see and grab. The meat counter will make you fully understand Pablo's law. Take it from me just go!

Barb S.

Yelp
What a grocery store ! So many great things you can buy. Mushrooms grown in-store, tortillas made in -store, and a fantastic meat selection. Plus knowledgeable workers.

Angela G.

Yelp
Love this place. I live on California but was here visiting my daughter. I especially love their fresh fruit juices and salad bar. I got the tortilla soup and it is sooooo good. My daughter frequently gets their sandwiches and she loves them

Joann C.

Yelp
This review is a bit late, but I do want to share. I was in Plano for a month visiting my daughter, who had just moved to TX - May - June 2022. She lived next door to the Market, and shopped there for that reason and because the Market offers fresh and organic foods. I especially loved the meat counter and the bakery. The meats (particularly the steaks and ground beef) are exceptional; and their coconut cake is to die for! I purchased a slice each time we shopped; and the evening before leaving, I bought 2 slices to bring home to MD. (Would have bought the whole cake if I could have packed it for air flight)!!!!!

Patricia J.

Yelp
Happy to update that the entrance by the coffee shop has been power washed and was clean! So stoked! Thank you Central Market!

Sandeep G.

Yelp
I have been to this store a few times and the experience has been mixed. Things that are good are: 1. The choices when it comes to any type of product 2. Produce is fresh 3. Bakery offers many options 4. Good choices at the Deli/Salad Bar 6. Clean, Spacious & Bright Things that need a second look: 1. The price of some of the produce are way to high 2. The staff is professional but in my experience not friendly. Even curt to an extent. My last visit was to pick-up a Strawberry Short Cake that I had ordered online for pick-up. It was raining and this being my first time I enquired about the pick-up process at the front desk/customer care. I was told "all pick-up are curbside you will have to drive to the designated area" when I asked where is the designated area, the directions were very vague. I bought a few other items at the store and while checking out enquired about the "designated curbside area" the response was "how can I explain" followed by a vague "go straight and turn right" direction. There are signs for curbside pick-up designated area but was barely visible around 6:30 PM during rain. The rest of the pick-up process was smooth and pleasant. The cake was super delicious! If you are going to charge 87 Cents as "Personal Shopper Fee" and $4.95 as "Pick-up Fee" then it is not unreasonable to expect customer service that is customer-centric and not that is process-centric.

Sherri H.

Yelp
Can I just say how delicious their quiches are?? We LOVE the spinach and mushroom quiche!!! Reasonably priced, easy to pop in the oven and delicious as the first meal as well as leftovers. I highly recommend!

Thomas P.

Yelp
Best grocery store in Dallas by a long shot. The meat market is excellent with too many great cuts to choose from. When you want a special meal, go here for inspiration

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Always an adventure! Great cheeses, meats, produce, deli counter, tortillas, etc. You won't be disappointed, I promise!

Jay S.

Yelp
Central Market walks that line between Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. It has the variety of a high end grocery store and the elite snobbery of customers who think they're too good for Kroger or Tom Thumb. On the other hand, the workers, particular in in the fish, meat and produce department, are straight out of TJ's -- friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I'm not a huge fan of their CIA-like interrogations on item returns -- they definitely are lagging behind TJs and Whole Paycheck when it comes to just providing a no-questions asked refund. I mean, who keeps receipts from grocery stores?! Some of my personal highlights are the crab cakes, red trout, seasoned meatballs, cowboy burgers and a wide assortment of interesting fruits. I also love wandering the aisles of their massive coffee bean assortment, smelling the wonderful aromas of something I would never drink in a thousand years. Prices, especially in the fish department and freshly cooked display case, run high but deals can be found if you look for them. CM also runs some strange themes such as chocolate month where they offer up such rare delicacies as chocolate seasoned whole rotisserie chicken (scratches chin). Still, for those attractive shoppers who can't make it down to WF Addison and wouldn't be caught dead in Richardson, Central Market is still probably the best dating app in North Dallas.

Bella B.

Yelp
This is my go to for most things. It's not grossly overpriced it's just not cheap. They are like costco for me - if I leave spending under $200 it's a good day lol. I am going to use them for my daughters bday cake so we will see how that goes. I may do a trial run first lol. I love that they have a family room for the bathroom and their changing table is the only one my kid won't freak out on. My only knock on the place - baggers/checkers. Most of them SUUUUUUUUCK. So slow. Not great at getting you through the lines and out the door. And with a screaming baby waiting uh ya that's not fun. Efficiency isn't their strong suit. Aside that, no real issues. Hot bar is decent. Deserts here are the devil. Coconut cake is just amazing. They have a lot of my fav speciality items and cool old school sugary sodas nobody should be having but man... so good.

Laura A.

Yelp
Hooray Plano has the updated version of Central Market! Great service and selection for Gourmet food and basic for the pantry. All the yummy things I need to make delicious food in my own home: plus had a delicious gelato !

Angela G.

Yelp
I noticed lots of organic and non GMO and all kinds of wonderful foods. But WHY all the single use plastic?? I had to put loose produce in a plastic bag, weigh it and put a sticker on it. I asked someone where the meat counter was and she did not speak English or Spanish. It was the most twisted, convoluted store I had ever been to. I was not aware that you needed a number at the meat counter. At Joann's there is a big sign showing the number being served. By the time I figured it out, I had to leave. I had an appointment, I never ever thought it would take more than 30 minutes to run in for a steak and olives. I refused to get olives because of the plastic. Are there no paper products that can hold food?

Mark L.

Yelp
Cafe is good, the staff is friendly and moves the line fairly quickly. As far as the grocery part, OMG, absolutely some of the rudest (customers) people. I recommend this place, but if the parking lot is full, come back another time!

Alfred G.

Yelp
Nice store with big variety but way overpriced! Foods seemed to be fresh and well organized. A lot of different freshly baked breads to choose from.

L P.

Yelp
My shopping experience today was egregiously bad. Upon purchasing the items of more than $300, the cashier scanned items extremely quickly and threw the items down the belt. It was moving so fast my family could not pack the items fast enough while containers were opening up from items piling up. Not to mention they used to have designated packers to help things move along but those are gone for their "cost-savings". Upon requesting 3 TIMES for the cashier to slow down, after being IGNORED TWICE, she said that she'd get in trouble if she slowed down. After calling loudly for a supervisor because no one cared to listen, management finally approached us and spoke up to us condescendingly about the situation. They didn't offer a solution and insisted they don't berate their employees about pumping customers through. After explaining that food was already expensive here and it should be packed properly so it wouldn't be opened or squished in the bag, we were hushed up and pushed out the store. After coming here for 12 YEARS - we are already challenged by ever increasing prices but this was the last straw. An absolute joke of customer service and an embarrassment for this company.

Lucy M.

Yelp
Love this Central Market location! The folks at the deli counter are always really helpful and quick with their service -- love the cured meats available, and the cheese area is also great. I've gotten a bunch of fresh mozzarella from here that's delicious, and there are several varieties of fancy almonds that go great on a charcuterie board. Also love the heirloom tomato selection when they're in season. This is my go-to grocery for more extravagant purchases, like finishing salt and fancy olive oil and Jeni's Ice Cream. I haven't had a chance to try many of the prepared items apart from soups and the occasional salad bar selections, which I believe are severely limited right now during the pandemic, but I'm looking forward to everything opening up again/returning more to normal in the coming months.

Veronica E.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday for a quick items I needed that I can only get from here: opal apples & my fav spaghetti sauce (cannot remember the name). & of course other random items! Store was clean, hand sanitizer was everywhere, & masks were worn! Everyone was abiding by the COVID 19 regulations. Love coming here!

Cassie P.

Yelp
This store is always very clean and carries a few H-E-B brand products. Although Central Market is on the high end I still come to it for specialty products I cannot find in my local grocery stores.

Bill J.

Yelp
Higher prices, less service. I was a big fan. Central Market is on the bubble with me. I accepted weighing and tagging my own produce. Walking back and forth between the produce and the scales. Waiting in line to use the scales, etc. OK. Now you guys removed the express checkout lanes. A service that was heavily used by customers on every visit I made to your store. Instead of having someone familiar with the products quickly find the bar codes, resolve any issues, and bag everything, I was standing there fumbling around trying to find barcodes, barcodes not scanning, and bagging on the ground as your bagging area is too small to accept reusable bags. Not even talking about the cashiers being now unemployed and the complete lack of human interaction. Tom Thumb still has their express lane. So does Kroger and they charge considerably less. They both weigh and price the produce and I have actual relationships with the people that work there. Familiar faces in the deli, butcher, bakery, and check out every time I visit. Central Market, you charge more than everyone else, expect me to weigh and price my own produce, and now be your unpaid cashier or stand in a much longer and slower moving line. This is not a premium product at this point. Sure, we can all talk about how self checkout is the future and no big deal or whatever, but at some point it reaches the tipping point where the premium prices do not match the service received. You are at that point. I am thankful the HEB on Preston will be open soon. Same company, but far better service at a far better price. You charge Fearings prices and expect your customers to cook their own steak.

Susan B.

Yelp
Liz was so helpful helping me find the perfect olive oil! Aside from today's experience... I just love CM. Been coming here for years and it feels special every single time. My husband and I also love the cooking events at night!

Amanda S.

Yelp
Yes! Favorite bougie grocery store ever! Love going here for all the hard to find ingredients and just to stroll the incredible bakery. This store is a culinary field trip.

Cyndi G.

Yelp
I Central Market and I discovered on my visit to North Dallas that custom deluxe gift baskets are made to order here! I needed 3 amazing baskets and Steffany in the Basket Creation Department listened to my specific requirements and crafted The Best gifts!! I asked her to make Gift Baskets for a specific type of person and occasion. She was able to create baskets with the Best Goodies, that are PERFECT! I only wish Steffany lives in Houston

Fletcher H.

Yelp
I've been to Central Market twice now and it has become my favorite. Great service, very clean, knowledgeable staff and the best grocery items. It's a little further away than Market Street but really work the drive. You definitely get your money's worth hands down.

Priscilla H.

Yelp
Yes! Grocery store that I miss so much. Came In For kiolbassa chorizo .The best chorizo in the world! Bought my thanksgiving pies because they make them just as good as my own! So happy I was able to stop in on this busy Sunday

Supriya P.

Yelp
Food lovers Heaven!! Exotic fruits, cool stuff from around the world, amazing Bakers and great quality food, wonderful customer service!

K F.

Yelp
This is the most amazing grocery store, eat in market, to go market, location for excellent service, etc. in DFW! This Central Market location leaves all other DFW grocery stores behind in the dust! Where else can you get an amazing overflowing grilled salmon sandwich for $10, a host of deliciously fresh prepared foods, a real olive bar, any wine or honey or mustard or cheese or bread or dessert or meat or fish you could imagine? And they blew us away with their Thanksgiving orders to go. We ordered the full Thanksgiving dinner for this year to save us from cooking. The price was great for all the amazing food and portions they included. They had an entire process set up for pickup today. We were super impressed! They had a whole staff ready to bring us the food in a cart, check that our order was perfect, gift us a $10 off coupon for our next shopping there, and moved us through with excellent speed, attention and service. We shopped for fresh greens at the same time and paid less for organic greens than at Sprouts or Kroger or Tom Thumb! We are super impressed and will be returning next week!
