Where to Eat in London This Weekend | Restaurant Recommendations | Eater London

"A homely café ideal for park breakfasts and lunches featuring artisanal breads, local East End produce and a tempting selection of homemade cakes and pastries; seasonal highlights include strawberry-and-rose custard doughnuts. Savoury options such as watermelon, feta and olive salad and a broad bean, pea and mint bowl with baby potatoes offer light, well-balanced choices for al fresco picnics." - James Hansen

East Ham’s Best Restaurants | Where to Eat in East Ham | Eater London

"Artisanal breads and local East End produce are a focus at this homely cafe, alongside a marvellous selection of homemade cakes and pastries: the strawberry and rose custard doughnuts, when available, are a must try. On the savoury side, a watermelon, feta and olive salad is the right balance of sweet and salty, while the broad bean, pea and mint option — mixed with baby potatoes — is quietly outstanding. With (slightly) longer opening hours on the weekend, a trip to the park would not be complete without a wander inside." - Shekha Vyas

Great choice of cakes / drinks and lovely staff who went out of their way to help when we had 4 prams and babies with us. Also dog friendly and people working so clearly a hit for a varied clientele. Highly recommend

Brilliant place and truly delicious food. All handmade and fresh. We had soup of the day with sour bread. Very tasty. Plenty of seating inside and out. Loads of open space around to go for a walk if you need some quiet time, or a day out with family and friends.

Came here with my family when I was a alot younger and haven't stopped coming back! The staff here are a delight to be around; always providing the best service and most delicious food. The tables are cleared and clean after a customer is finished, you can sit there for hours without feeling rushed and the food! Oh my god the food! Tastes like heaven. Cheese toasties are to die for and the soup (I speak as someone who hates soup) a gorgeous creation and don't get me started on the cakes! Absolute perfection, couldn't ask for anything better! 12/10 awfully good! A hidden gem! 100% would recommend

There aren’t a lot of options when I came by and also didn’t seem like a typical cafe. They served a few basic dishes which tasted ok. The coffee was ok too. Nothing special but I would say very kid friendly / accessible. Feels like a pop up kitchen rather than an established cafe which may be what it is, but I was expecting a little more. Staff friendly enough, lots of high chairs and spacious. Just didn’t have a warm feel to it when I came by.

Best bacon and eggs on toast I have ever had, also best coffee I’ve had so far on my trip through London. Price isn’t too bad either considering the portion, Would definitely come back.

I take a dim view of a cafe that refuses to serve me lunch at 2.40 in the afternoon because they've closed the kitchen. It's a shame because I love walking my dog in Central Park, but the hours this cafe keeps are just infuriating.

Lovely spot for something to eat. I especially love how all the staff interacted with each customer and every customer, and you can certainly see why they have loads of regulars. Lovely coffee and they have retail bags of Caravan if you’re a home brewer like me xx

I could not have wished for better quality food or a more welcoming staff. I make it a point to visit this establishment whenever I am in the area.
