CENTRAL Pizza + Bar Lafayette

We tried Central for the first time yesterday and were amazed at how delicious it was. The garlic knots were incredible, I think I’d go back purely for those. We tried the adult cheese pizza and it was awesome too. I’ve heard about central pizza from so many people and I was so excited to go try for myself. It did not disappoint, and I will definitely be back soon.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for over 3 years, and I have had nothing but wonderful, positive experiences, and the quality of everything has NEVER gone down! The bar staff has such incredible chemistry together, and it is infectious - y'all are doing a fantastic job! The pizza, dare I say, is practically perfect. The oven they use is a legit wood-fire Italian oven, and it shows through that and the quality of their dough and ingredients. Easily one of the best pizzas I have ever had; and I've had some great pizzas before. Even their appetizers have that same level of taste and quality of their pizzas, which is absolutely incredible! Their wings are unlike anything I've had before - it's almost like ribs, with their chili caramel. That combined with the lime they give you is pure perfection. Their drinks are also incredible. If I were to recommend a great drink, it would have to be the Basil Pep Lemondrop; a really nice and refreshing cocktail. Overall, if anyone is ever in the downtown Lafayette, LA area, this is THE place to check out if you want a wonderful pizzeria experience. We always come here when we’re in the area, it’s the best pizza we’ve ever had. Sauce is well seasoned and the perfect amount, toppings are fresh and the crust is perfectly soft and crispy. Inside is rustic and dim lit, service is always great too. Tonight we had Zane and he was so sweet and informative. We got the carne and the meatball pizza, both delicious. The garlic knots were really good, the burrata was a hard pass next time.

The food, service and overall energy in this place is phenomenal!! My boyfriend and I had the absolute best experience with Cole, our waitress. She was so kind and helpful with recommendations, and the food definitely matched the stellar service. We had the central dip that almost put me in a food coma it was soooo so good!! We followed it up with the curly sue and holy cow, such an incredible pizza!! The garlic ricotta and pistachio pesto was insane, highly recommend!! Incredible first experience and I can’t wait to visit again, major thanks to the talented chefs and sweet Cole for making our visit!!

Food was cold and whoever made my pizza did not know how to cut a pizza. The right side of my pizza was cut into 4’s and the left side was cut into 2 pieces? More crust than pizza. I was excited for this to be open but I guess it’s just a cursed location. Will be driving back to the original location.

By far the best pizza I've ever had in Louisiana. It is just authentic and made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is fancy and it kind of fools you because the price point is better than you would expect. Just a great place overall, however it may be crowded and difficult to find a table just depending on when you go.

I've been on this kick of asking servers their favorite item on the menu or what would they order and their choices have been more than mouth-watering! That being said... Daniel recommended the garlic knots with 3 dippers, spicy marinara, ricotta and pesto. I absolutely could not get enough. His 2nd rec was the VooDoo Chile pizza with honey drizzle. Holy Toledo were all the taste buds awakened! For bev's the: Tia Mia & Brazilian Limeade really hit the spot coming out of the heat and humidity.

Our first visit after a enthusiastic recommendation from a family member. The service was friendly and professional. The cocktails were masterfully prepared by real mixologist. Finally, everything we ate was wonderful: Central Dip, Italian Salad, and make your own pizza. Uniquely clever atmosphere for Lafayette.

First time grabbing food here. Service was okay. Good quality is truly impeccable. Great quality and quickly delivered out to the table. Don't sleep on that pesto they have y'all!! Def 11/10 food.

We visited Central Pizza twice while in Lafayette. The first time was on a Monday late afternoon. FYI: Not much is open in downtown Lafayette on Mondays. We enjoyed a drink at the bar and admired the food arriving for the people sitting near us. A few days later we stopped in to try their pizza. They have a very interesting menu and we decided on a Voodoo Chile Pizza. We love Calabrian chili and this pizza featured it deliciously. On both visits we sat at the bar and service was very good.

I came back! I wanted to try more of the menu. This time I ordered "central wings" and they were amazing! I also tried another pizza. Everything is so good!

Love love this is finally opened! Came in on opening day, ordered the daily special personal pizza which was the Paulie! Phenomenal pizza, so happy they are near by now! Love the changes made to the place, having a banquet room will be great for group! The bartender was very friendly and offered up great suggestions! The pizza came out quickly also!

Came for work to Lafayette and my coworker took me here and it was so good! Service was good and fast. Place is really pretty. The standout were the Central Wings with the basil ranch dip. Definitely get those!

Great service. Pizza was delicious. It had an interesting twist to a traditional cheese pizza. Will definitely try it again whenever in town again.

We love Central Pizza. This is our favorite pizza place! The Roquette Man salad and chicken thighs is excellent. They put the chicken in the wood oven. Is for the pizza. The crust is perfection. We always order the spicy paste that they make and has to dip the bread in not a single crust is left behind!

Decent pizza place, we ordered the tomato basil soup and buffalo wings for an appetizer. The soup was delicious and the wings were cooked perfectly. The supreme pizza was just ok, for some reason it seemed like they added the mushrooms after the pizza was cooked which was off putting for me. Zane was our server and he was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food.

We got the Carne pizza and added roasted garlic ricotta and a pepperoni pizza with tomato aioli on the side. Everything was delicious and fresh! Ingredients were good quality and prep was done right. We ordered Togo and everyone devoured it before I got good pictures. Restaurant was packed but clean and nicely decorated. Employees were nice and helpful. Overall a great experience

So my taste buds are shot but the chicken wings were incredible. My wife loves there pizza but it was not my taste

Cheese curds. Roasted Eggplant Dip. Paulie. Zeppoles. Fantastic food. We love the European style seating. The service was attentive. Definitely will be in our rotation.

Sometimes the pizza is burnt, sometimes it's just right. Never know what I'm getting into. The dining room is usually clean. The servers are usually in a good mood.

We can for apps only, and I was not disappointed. Maybe next time we can try a pie. Had the meatballs, cauliflower wings, garlic knots and Brussel sprouts. Meatballs were huge. Loved the fresh cream which offset the tart red sauce. The meatballs were juicy and super flavorful. Garlic knots had such good chewy mouth feel. It came with a ricotta, a red sauce and a pesto. Brussel sprouts were perfectly roasted too. Not too cooked where they were mushy, and still a little crunch. The cauliflower wings were so tasty!!!!! With how they were fried, it just sopped up that Buffalo sauce. Their sauce was slightly sweet and tangy. Ugh, so good.

One of the best Neapolitan pizzas I've had lately I had flat & cup pepperoni with mushroom and roasted garlic ricotta, red sauce (no mozzarella) and fresh basil. There house Chianti paired nicely. Good job!

food was Ok, but staff, manager, and even owner were rude! Wont go back again...better places in town!

My wife and I were in town for a couple of days and we were hungry for pizza. Found this place on YELP and we are glad that we did. Great service, amazing pizza just a really cool place to dine!

Got the curly sue pizza Togo. I haven't had a pesto pizza in a long time and it did not disappoint. Will have to go back and eat in person so I can give a full five stars!

This place knows what they do and do it really well. Consistently good, a focused menu and the pizzas are the best I've found in Louisiana by far. Absolutely recommend. Lunch, dinner or even just the bars

Literally the best restaurant in Lafayette if you ask me. The meatballs? Bomb! The CENTRAL WINGS? Slappin! The pizza? Delicious! Everything is always so fresh, so hot, so ready, and so unique. I just love it pls go everyone please!!!! Great service as well.

Ate here once before, 2nd visit is even better! The host was sweet, friendly, he set the tone for the evening. Excellent pizza made exactly as I wanted; almost burnt with white sauce. 3 choices for white sauce which is rare! Great service from very knowledgeable waitress. It's a generational thing but the big nose ring was a bit off putting. Mixed drink was perfect! Great friendly feel, ambience. When I sneezed 2 other tables said gesuntit, lol. All that and under $20-excellent.

I'm from out of town. I little west from a large metropolitan that starts with an H. I was looking for some good pizza and this place had great reviews. Started with the roasted Brussel sprouts and they were incredible. The char smoky flavor of the bacon with the sweetness of the cranberries was an excellent combination. I had every intention of ordering a white pie but the bartender told me that the central wings were the best wings she has ever had. I had to try them. The sweet honey chili glaze on these wings was indeed some of the best wings I have ever had. It had fried onion strings and pistachio crumbs on top that only heightened the taste. I wish I would of snapped a picture of both of these but I just could not stop eating them. I highly recommend this place.

This place is a nice little gem. Haven't had pizza and wings in awhile so we were excited. The wings were really good! Large with alot of meat, breaded and covered in sauce....perfect. We got a cheese and pepperoni Pizza. Bith were good but we all said the pepperoni had more flavor. Crust was crispy and the undercarriage was very nice. Next time I'll have to try some onion rings.

Wish I could give zero stars. Food is just OK, not worth the price. Servers tolerable, but bartender and management were entitled and arrogant.

Waitress with pink hair and nose ring rejected my ID. I'm from Texas.. one state over. She proceeded to cuss me out and kicked us out of the pizza shop. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a restaurant. So if you see the chick with a nose ring be ready to get shaken down for a beer.

My kids and I enjoy watching them hand throw the pizza. Bring a fun experience for everyone, and bonus the pizza and beer are great! They even send a fun card home with your take out box on the best way to reheat your pizza to perfection.

Beautiful contemporary wood fire pizza joint with full bar. Need I say more? Nice staff and delicious food, plus a delightful setting in the beautiful Lafayette downtown. A great vibe of locals and visitors make this place a easy recommendation

Social distancing and capacity is enforced. Hand sanitizer is provided and smells great Food: Get the cheese curds- they are phenomenal!!! The mozzarella cheese ball with hot bread was excellent. The pizza...... ooohhhhh the pizza was so good!!! It's been a while since I've had really tasty pizza. It wasn't greasy nor overly sauced. It was great! Our overall experience was great. Can't wait to come back and try a few more items.

Went and got dinner last night. Got the Central wings and the meatball pizza. Both were very very good.

I tried the Paulie and burrata. It had the perfect crust, the perfect thickness. The honey was a great touch to compliment the jalapeños. This is my absolutely favorite pizza now. Burrata was soft and spectacular.

Love this pizza place downtown! Low lighting and exposed brick walls make this space very quaint and almost too hip to be a pizza joint. So the things Central is known around town for are definitely the Brussel sprouts, their wings, and their wood fired pizzas. We came in for a late dinner and although I wanted to try a little of everything we opted to share a supremo pizza. Perfect to share (6 slices) and loved how the red pepper flakes I requested were finely milled into a little ramekin for me, which I used profusely, because duh...red pepper flakes. Yum. Pizza was hot and delicious. The service was what you might expect of college student service, not fantastic but friendly and efficient. Definitely will return for that atmosphere and more sampling of the menu.

Loved our experience. Pizzas out of the oven are spot on. Different from your pepperoni and cheese, more eclectic and bougie which is a "Great" difference. It's a nice place for a 1st date and could be our new weekly haunt!

Love the food. If you're an olive fan order the olive appetizer, wonderful. If eat in or takeout the pizza is some of the best in town.

Great pizza! So glad we were finally able to try Central Pizza. Recommend going on weekday as parking is very limited. Service was outstanding!

Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Ordered the Central Cauliflower Wings tossed in a calabrian chili caramel sauce, topped with fried onions, basil garnish, and ground pistachios, served with an optional side of basil ranch dressing and lime wedges. Yum! The Mediterranean hummus was delicious. Service was great too! Our waiter Daniel really took excellent care of us. Will visit again.

I've had Central Pizza several times and it never disappoints! The Pizzas are cooked in a brick oven and you can taste the slightly burnt crust, amazing food. Service is top notch and the environment is very family friendly.

I know this is primarily a pizza joint but honestly I mostly dine here for the appetizers. The last pizza(suprema) I ate here was pretty bland. There was literally no seasoning and did not look very fresh. The appetizers are stunning! Everyone raves for their central wings and they have every right to. The crispness paired with the honey sauce makes this dish irresistible. The brussels sprouts have amazing toppings (like cranberries) that I would never think would taste great together. I saved the best dish to discuss for last. The leek dip was by the far the best dish I ever tasted!! It was paired some delicious pita bread. Definitely coming back for more dip!!

Central is one of my all time favorite places in lafayette. The central cauliflower wings & Brussels sprouts are great for starters and then get the Paulie pizza! The wait staff is great as well.

If you're looking for a place to hang with the fam or with your girls, this is the place. Service is efficient and staff is polite and accommodating. Their pie(pizza) options are endless and definitely are made with love and high quality ingredients. As a Chicago native I can really appreciate this joint!

I tried this place a few months ago and I loved it! I ordered the carne pizza and it was delicious. I also got the cheese curds paired with their roasted tomato aioli which was phenomenal. Their sauces their were so good and definitely worth a try. I love the aioli that came with the cheese curds, but I especially loved their basil ranch. My cousins who recommended this place to me said the basil ranch is a must try and they were right. Definitely some of the best ranch I've had. Their atmosphere was also super cute whether it be for happy hour drinks with friends or a dinner date! Can't wait to go back!

Food was excellent ! But was pricey they add 4% to bill automatically , So check your bill like I did if paying cash. If you come here just have plenty of cash especially if having alcohol. You will enjoy the food and quality. Friendly service.
