Definitely an amazing place! The architecture of the space is charming and makes the visit feel special. The artworks are interesting, modern, and very diverse. However, some of the pieces deal with sensitive topics in a very visual and direct way and I believe they should be labeled with a trigger warning. It’s not always suitable for sensitive audiences. Centre Pompidou-Metz is a really cool spot in Metz with some unforgettable architecture—like the entrance that looks kinda like 😂, which made me chuckle. Inside, the art is just as interesting. My favorite was this elephant sculpture wrapped in white cloth—it was super striking. There wasn’t one main theme that grabbed me, but there was a good mix of contemporary art to check out. The staff were nice, and I liked that all the art info was in both English and French, which helps tourists a lot. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family, especially if they’re into art. The unique building, varied exhibits, and friendly vibe make it worth a visit.

The architecture of the Centre Pompidou alone is worth the visit – bold, elegant, and full of light. I explored two unforgettable exhibitions: Maurizio Cattelan’s ironic, provocative works and Marina Abramović’s participative experience “Counting the Rise.” Although I didn’t have enough time to take part in the participatory tasks set up in Abramović’s exhibition space, I still found the concept inspiring and thought-provoking. The atmosphere invites deep reflection and engagement with the human experience. In addition, on the second floor, visitors can discover works by over 40 international contemporary artists – a diverse and fascinating collection that adds even more depth and colour to the visit. You should definitely plan to spend a few hours or more to fully appreciate everything. An inspiring blend of architecture, performance, and contemporary art – highly recommended!

This branch of the Pompidou modern art museum in Paris was opened in 2010. It is much more manageable than the main branch in Paris and the art is absolutely amazing. A 20 minute walk from the historic center of Metz. Or take the MA or MB bus using the ticket machines at most major stops. Highly recommend a 2-3 hour visit.

The building is fantastic; wonderful exhibitions - we spent lots of time in the Caribbean post-slavery exhibition. Restaurant menu looked awesome and the food smelt compelling but they were booked out. Instead we enjoyed a quiche Loraine and bières framboises at the cafe. Now we are art tossers.

On 17 July, 2024, my wife and I came here. We decided not to pay to see the exhibitions as we believe what have been exhibiting in our home are not just as aesthetic but also more authentic. When I checked out the toilets, I was wondering whether they are part of the free exhibitions.

Nice exhibitions. The space is quite large thus even with a lot of people you have some freedom to manoeuvre around. It has natural light in every floor and places for you to rest in between exhibitions.

I liked this museum and his exposition. But there is a thing that could disturb young people, children or sensible eye. I am writing about the picture with the three dead children. And again, it's a piece of art with no doubts, but you have to require a minimal age of entry or to advise the visitors before.

Free. Fun to visit, avant-garde exhibits in a modern facility. Popular spot. 5 minute walking distance from train station. Recommend.

Fantastically amazing exhibits can be found at Centre Pompidou-Metz We had the good fortune to see a visiting exhibit from our hometown in Saarbrücken but it was a lovely blend of French and German art & their influences on each other There was also this excellent exhibit on Oscar Schlemmer & his fun & futuristic ballet costumes Cold as all get out inside the museum.......you'll want to keep your coat with you
