"Ceron Kitchen is a place for special occasions and celebrations. The ambitious menu boasts octopus ceviche and duck liver toasts, branzino, duck breast, and a few different chops and steaks. Weekend brunch is also very popular. Nothing says weekend indulgence quite like lobster-topped eggs Benedict." - Meleyna Nomura

"Ceron Kitchen, a new restaurant from a duo of first-time restaurant owners, is taking over the former Otaez Mexican Restaurant space at 1619 Webster Street in Alameda with plans to open its doors by mid October. Chef Juan Jaquez describes the menu as New American with global influences — think, ceviche, risotto, and fresh pasta, alongside a braised short rib in mole and sous vide Spanish octopus. There will be a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails, plus weekend brunch. Jaquez brings experience from Paradiso, San Leandro’s fine dining spot with a similarly global menu, where he worked for more than a decade; prior to that he spent time in the kitchen at Boulevard, Nancy Oakes’ newly renovated and reopened San Francisco dining institution." - Lauren Saria

Wow what an amazing fine dining experience! Kudos to the chef! Everything tasted delicious! The pistachio salad had so much pistachio and the dressing was made perfect! The seafood pasta and ribeye is to die for! Scallops were the best and a great selection of wine to pair. Service is impeccable:)

Perfect spot for date night. The gnocchi was nice. The more I have it the more I like it. The best one was Campanella Bolognese. This is now my new favorite restaurant in Alameda 💖

We found this amazing restaurant by happenstance! I had a last minute home showing late in the day on a Saturday in the Alameda area. I asked my husband to drive me so we could grab dinner after. While I was in the showing , he looked up places to eat in the area and came upon Ceron Kitchen. We are so happy we found this place! This is definitely a higher end establishment and would be a great place for a special celebration or business dinner. However, diners on the patio were enjoying the relaxing, more casual atmosphere and there were families with children and groups of younger people enjoying drinks. Not a stuffy place at all. The restaurant is aesthetically gorgeous, (Reas about the owner on their website, he is a home builder as well). The staff was professional and very knowledgeable but also super friendly and fun to talk to. The drinks and food were top notch! Definitely a fine dining experience. They have a great creative cocktail menu( we tried a couple and they were delicious) and an extensive wine list. The menu was varied with many intriguing dishes in both the First and the Main courses and there were so many things we wanted to try! We settled on sharing a wonderful Blueberry & Strawberry Salad and the Street Corn for our Firsts. Both exceptionally good and made with the freshest produce. I have eaten a lot of “ street” style Mexican corn ( Esquites) and this was an elevated version. Delicious. For entrees my husband got the Duck with Mushroom Risotto and I got the Frutti Di Mare. Both exceptional!! These dishes were both done exceedingly well. The duck was amazing, the seafood fresh and the Pasta in the Frutti Di Mare was cooked to perfection. We don’t usually eat dessert, but we made an exception here because of how good the food was. We got the Chocolate Silk Pie and were not disappointed! So worth the calories!!!! Ceron Kitchen is the perfect reason to head out yo charming Alameda. We strolled around the downtown area for a bit after dinner (since we ate every last bite!) and enjoyed the restaurants location. We will be back! There are so many other dishes we want to try and this will be a great special occasion or business dinner spot as well.

Last minute decision to dine at Ceron this evening. What a fabulous idea! I'd never been before but have always been intrigued when driving by because it looks so nice. If you don't want to read all the specifics of the meal, just know it's a fabulous restaurant and the food is delicious! We started with cocktails - Ube Martini (pretty, tasty but quite sweet), Coconut Highball (very balanced and the Coconut was there but not overwhelming), Under Pressure (gorgeous glass, smokey, and nice to sip). We started with the Chive Biscuits (dainty, maybe 1" cubes, crispy and flakey, served with delicate honey butter). Crab and avocado with citrus pieces (very fresh and great pairings of flavors). Next was the Spinach, Blueberry and Strawberry salad. It was done perfectly with just the right amount of dressing, goat cheese, and pecans. For our entrees we had lobster fettuccine (DELICIOUS-decent amount of lobster meat and the sauce was fabulous- you could taste the chanterelle mushrooms), seafood fettuccine (AMAZING- the flavor was wonderful! You could taste the asparagus but there were only thinly sliced pieces of it in the dish. All the ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked). Duck breast with mushroom risotto and a piece of tempura portabello mushroom. Those who eat duck said it was good. The mushroom risotto and the tempura portabello were soooo good. It would be a fabulous idea if they offered the risotto as an entrée!! We didn't have room for dessert but we were full of DELICIOUS food!! Excellent atmosphere and food!!

Let me tell you, Ceron is not just a happy place – it’s the only place. You walk in, and immediately it’s as if the world outside doesn’t exist. And then Arnold – the man, the myth, the legend – sweeps in, delivering hospitality so flawless, it’s like he’s running a five-star military operation. Attention to detail? Arnold invented it. This isn’t just fine dining, this is the benchmark by which all others should be judged. The food? Oh, the food! It’s not just good; it’s a symphony of flavors that perfectly marry each other like a couple out of a fairy tale. We started with the salad – iceberg lettuce, but not just any lettuce, this was lettuce that made you question everything you knew about greenery. Paired with a blue cheese Caesar dressing and bacon bits that crunched like a Formula 1 engine roaring into life. The eggs were cooked so perfectly, they could have been served in a Michelin-starred space station. Oh, and did I mention the blackberry cassis cocktail? It was so expertly balanced, you could probably build a bridge with it. But then, the ravioli! Stuffed with ricotta and infused with truffle oil and mushroom duxelle crème so rich, it could have bought a small island. The texture? The kind of pillow you’d want to rest your head on for all eternity. And let’s not forget the chicken breast – brined, butterflied, and so tender it practically whispered, “eat me.” Paired with mash potatoes swimming in brown chicken stock and asparagus that had those perfect grill marks like it had just come off the set of a high-budget Hollywood movie. Finally, we landed on the lemon tart. A tart so divine, it didn’t just finish the meal, it ended world hunger in that very moment – at least for me. Quite simply, my day was made. In summary: go to Ceron. Go now.

To say that Ceron blew us away is an understatement. Everything about the restaurant was top-notch, and I mean everything. We celebrated my daughters birthday at Ceron, and it was worth every dollar. Our server, Jesus, was amazing and shared details about the restaurant, the chef, the items we selected, and how some of the dishes and drinks were named. The food was crazy good, and the service was at another level. The restaurant seriously felt like it was taken out of New York or London and placed here in Alameda. If you're looking for a destination restaurant, this has to be on your list.

Google
I was surprised to find that Ceron Kitchen's brunch menu is just as good as their dinner menu. However, the prices are a bit steep, so be prepared to spend a bit more than you might expect. Our party was able to walk in without a reservation, but I would recommend making one if you're planning on going during a busy time. The service was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive. The food was all delicious, but I felt that the portions were a bit small for the price. Overall, I had a great experience at Ceron Kitchen, but I would probably look elsewhere for brunch if I'm looking for a more affordable option.

Just wow. I can’t even begin to describe what an amazing experience we had to celebrate my father in law birthday. The service was outstanding, very attentive and answered all of questions as first timers. The ambiance was perfect with tasteful decor. We were able to taste a few wines before deciding on a bottle, and the stemware omg. For four people and a one year old we comfortably ate two appetizers which were divine. Then we died after receiving the main course, each of us devoured our beautifully plated meals. We finished off with coffee and dessert which was equally beautiful and delicious. For the life of me I cannot remember our waitress name but she was truly wonderful. To add, extremely child friendly for such a nice restaurant which was refreshing!

Yelp
Wow! Five star experience! We ordered the oysters, wedge salad, calamari, crab cakes, biscuits, clam chowder, lobster fettuccine, linguini pasta, and rib eye. Literally EVERY DISH was fire. Soooo good! Arnold provided fantastic service. I work in the industry so I notice small details and the whole team did an excellent job. Our water glasses never went half way empty :) Very spacious, super clean, beautifully decorated. I loved that their Christmas trees were up already, that made it feel super cozy and festive! I would definitely come back and highly recommend Ceron to others who are looking for a nice dinner with yummy food and an extensive bar selection.

Yelp
I had a work lunch reserved for last Thursday. We arrived and saw that the restaurant was closed with a sign that there was a private event. We knocked and my boss's boss showed them her phone where it just texted her yesterday asking to confirm the reservation (date was correct) and she had confirmed. She also made this reservation weeks ago. The person there said they couldn't accommodate and they weren't open to the public today. He asked if we booked on Yelp because there were some glitches, and she had booked directly on their website. Very disappointing that they would be so disorganized as to allow people to make reservations weeks in advance and not even follow up, AND send out an automated confirmation text the day before. I can't review this place for the food because I'll never come back and check it out lol.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday on a Tuesday night around 7pm and when we walked in, it was pretty empty. The restaurant itself is really fancy and spacious, definitely one of the nicer looking restaurants in Alameda. Now to the menu. The dinner menu was pretty small and it was pretty expensive for what they were serving. Most entrees were over $50. We ordered duck liver, Brussels sprouts, calamari grotto, and bone marrow & beef tartare for appetizers, and 2 tomahawks and a duck breast for entrees. Duck Liver 2/5: I really wanted to like this, but the jam was overpowering and I can only taste sweet. it did have a beautiful presentation though. Brussels sprouts 4/5: I have never had fried Brussels sprouts and they were pretty good. It was crunchy but not too doughy. Calamari Fritto 3/5: pretty average, nothing too exciting. Bone Marrow & Beef tartare 3/5: pretty big bone marrow. Wish the bread was better toasted. The tartare could use a bit more salt. Tomahawk 3/5: pretty average. Duck breast 4/5: I was pleasantly surprised with this entree. Duck was very tender and flavorful. It paired wonderfully with the mushroom. LOVED the fried mushroom, perfect breading! Overall pretty average food for dinner, however if you are in the area and don't want to drive too far, this could be a good option.

Yelp
Visited Ceron with 3 friends for Saturday brunch. Place opens at 10am and was empty...it's unfortunate as the interior is beautiful and aesthetically gorgeous (Modern Mission style) from the former business (Otaez Mexican Restaurant). *sigh* The vibe almost transports you to dining in the City without going across the bridge and circling for parking. The menu is creative and interesting so plenty of items to try. Options for brunch: eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, simple breakfast with coffee cake and sandwiches. I opted for the French dip sandwich which was presented well and enjoyed the accompanying potato salad. Though good I probably wouldn't order again and try a seafood dish . Friends enjoyed their dishes and what really finished off the meal was the chocolate silk dessert. Light chocolate mousse with a chocolate-crust with varying textures of chocolate gelato, candied hazelnut and chocolate tuile. Our server/host was the Owner/Executive Chef Juan Jaquez - very welcoming, engaging, and mentioned he formerly was head chef at Paradiso, San Leandro for 15 years....i knew the food was different after the pandemic and time he left to open Ceron! I really enjoyed the food when he was there and will have to return to Ceron to try their dinner service. Service was efficient and attentive even after more people arrived. Place is a great venue for a special occasion and meet up with friends. I'd definitely return to try some of their appetizers and eyeing the Berkshire Pork chop. Everything looks delicious albeit pricing on the higher side with like spots. Nevertheless, I'll give it a try if Juan is in charge of dinner service! :) Parking lot in back with metered street parking. Outdoor patio up front (facing Webster) and bar area is great when weather permits or if you have a pet. Highly recommend visiting Ceron!

Yelp
A pretty interior with a warm hospitality and reasonably good service. The 4 stars that tendIt has a really pretty interior with warm hospitality and reasonably good service. to be given here is usually because the dishes are uneven - meaning some are fabulous, like their crab and avocado omelette. Other things are in the fair-to-middle category, like their lobster roll, which is described accurately, and so similar to an East Coast version you'll simply wonder about the price markup to bring it to the West Coast. Beef Tartare wask good, but I'm not sure caviar is in the same category as the absent quail egg. The clam chowder seemed a bit too watery, but the flavor was good with pancetta making a good pairing with the clams. The place is usually very quiet at lunch time, especially on weekends, so you can have your run of this rather massive place that has really decent parking.

Iona C.

Yelp
I've been to this location before, but when it used to be a restaurant called Otaez. I could hardly recognize the interior - whoever took over and created Ceron did an absolutely amazing job of truly making this place their own. The interior feels fresh and bright and it looks sophisticated without being stiff/stuffy. It was the perfect setting for our 9-person gathering and at 1 PM on a Wednesday afternoon, there were some other parties in the restaurant, but we eventually became the only ones there. I completely forgot that this place has parking in the back and paid for a metered spot outside, but next time around, I will be parking in their lot. Do not, though, make the mistake of parking in the lot adjacent to the front of the restaurant because that belongs to an auto body shop. Their weekday lunch menu, not sure if it differs from weekends, gave a good breadth of choices, but wasn't Cheesecake Factory overwhelming. We got wedge salads, brussels sprouts, and calamari for appetizers and all three were things I would get again. The main standout, though, were the brussels sprouts which were breaded and fried. I probably would have liked brussels sprouts a lot sooner in my life if they were served to me like that as a child. A number of people in our party opted for the more breakfast/brunch lunch options, but I zeroed in on the bolognese when I first glanced at the menu. When the waitress came around again, I stuck to that order and was really pleased with my choice. I didn't get the name of our waitress, but they were very attentive and accommodating. She honestly must have had to refill my water glass alone more than five times (still in nursing mom mode!) and she was also willing to help us take group photos at the end of the meal. All in all, we had a really great time at Ceron and would definitely come back. The ambiance, food, and service make this is a great choice for any occasion.

Rosie M.

Yelp
I ordered a hamburger medium rare, but they brought it to me medium-well. It was fine because I was hungry. The wine was decent. My daughter and partner had the pasta bolognese, and they both said it was okay but too oily. The presentation was nice, the server was mostly attentive although he forgot my sister's drinknorder and it was her birthday party, and the restaurant was clean.

Sar S.

Yelp
We had our corporate holiday dinner here, and the service and food were great. I had their salmon, and it was cooked perfectly. I was surprised it came with the cheese ravioli since I didn't fully read what was included. I thought the salmon only came with beurre-blanc sauce and some sort of carbs, but it was a treat to find generous portions of the ravioli. They were very accommodating and also had a full bar. I would come back here again.

Yelp
High end dine in restaurant in alameda, great for date night or catch up with friends. I didn't know it existed until I stayed at the hotel across the street. It has a dark fancy interior in a good way. WHAT WE ORDERED Lobster fettuccine Seafood fettuccine Pappardelle frutti di mare All entrees were rich and fresh in flavors. Wish I discovered it sooner. Service was excellent, server was very attention to our needs and checked in on us a few times. They even close the blinds for us where we sat by the windows when it was sunset.

Margaret L.

Yelp
Delicious! Took the family out for Saturday morning brunch. We ordered the following: - Calamari Fritto - Chorizo Omelette - Lobster Fettuccine - Florentine Benedict - Steak and Eggs - Wedge Salad I cannot express how good that lobster fettuccine was. You'll have to order it and taste it yourself!

Gynelle M.

Yelp
Ceron Kitchen was great. The food was tasty! The menu was appetizing and had plenty to offer. As my friend and I reviewed the menu, there were several entrees that interested us, but we only had the Brussel sprouts, the fried chicken and waffles, and gnocchi. I'm not a gnocchi fan but my friend loved it! The chicken and waffles with spicy syrup was tasty and perfect for my mood. The Brussels were good but they were fried and the menu didn't state that, so I think they need to clarify the cooking style. I expected roasted Brussels. They were tasty but I preferred roasted and had I known, I would've gotten a different appetizer. Nonetheless, everything was good. The ambiance was nice! Very airy, clean and bright. Service: five stars! We had Sky, and she was really helpful with great personality. FYI: I tried them out on a random weekday at brunch time so it was very light and empty. If you want a popping hour, I'd try them during happy hour times. They had a nice bar too! Good luck!

Yelp
Took and introduced more of our friends to Ceron today. I should get a commission, lol. And our friends loved it! I offered to take them to another nice restaurant for our next get together, but they said they wanted to come back here again. As you can see from our first experience, we had such a great time. And the good news is that we are BACK to 5 stars. Quality/Quantity - Got lucky again, did not know it was Alameda Restaurant week! Prix Fix dinner available, see picture of menu. Biscuits - This was good! But 3 small tiny pieces... The butter was actually better than the biscuits, LOL. Lobster Fettuccine - Wow, I mean wow. This was really good, and a very generous serving of lobster, see both dishes. Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée - Everyone had different opinions of this dessert. But it was perfect for me, with a good ratio of custard and burnt creme. It was very sweet though, but isn't that to be expected? American Wagyu Beef Sliders - Just okay. Pappardelle Frutti Di Mare - My current favorite noodles are pappardelle, but you already know that because you are following me, lol. This dish threw me off, it was more of a cioppino. I expected a "dryer" dish, less soupy. I should have paid more attention to the menu as it did state "tomato broth." It was nice to get complimentary bread to soak up all that broth. Also got complimentary champagne as we were celebrating our friend's anniversary, thank you. Other menus - Lunch, brunch, wine (see wine cellar picture), etc. Atmosphere - Ceron has construction experience and you can tell from the beautifully detailed build of this place. The "bones" were not changed from Otaez, but definitely upgraded. Ambiance - Upscale, romantic, dimmed lighting, etc. See bathroom picture also. I even like the ceiling tiles. See pictures. Full bar - The bar area is more lit and lively. Nice to have two different ambiances in the same location. See pictures. You know it's a classy place if they are willing to light the heat lamps in both the front and rear doors without having outdoor guests, LOL. See pictures. The bar area is enclosed against the elements; this used to be an open space. Indoor and bar seating available. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 9pm or 10pm. See Yelp or website. Private parking lot. Service - Regular door greeter was probably on break, the owner came to greet and help us. He seemed like a very hard worker! Owner, Vicent, even came and hung out with us for a few minutes, sharing about his new restaurant on Park St. Might go there Monday. Samantha was good, very engaging. She commented a few times how happy we were and non stop laughing. Hope we were NOT too loud. BTW, another shout out to our first visit here, Jesus was the perfect team member, so professional and attentive! Price - $220 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrat to Vicent Ceron and Executive Chef Juan Jaquez. Chef Juan Jaquez is from Paradiso in San Leandro, one of my other favorite restaurants.

Yelp
Very smooth experience here recently. It was a beautiful evening and we got a table out front on the patio. The street was pretty quiet. Service was attentive, prompt, and friendly. We started off with cocktails, Buttermilk Chive Biscuits (served with honey butter) and the Ahi Tuna Tartare. Loved how flakey, buttery, and warm the biscuits were. The tuna tartare was creatively plated, but might have sat in the marinade (chili and soy sauce) a bit too long. It ended up tasting salty and a bit fishy. As an entree, we shared the New Zealand Rack of Lamb (med rare). It was delicious, served on a bed of asparagus risotto, with carrots and a demi glaze. The desserts looked enticing, but sadly, there wasn't enough room. Maybe I'll get to try some next time :)

Yelp
Came here for our Gal-entines event It was everyone's first time here I made reservations via YELP Venue is clean and nicely decorated There is a bar area and private parking is located in the back of the restaurant To be honest as a group we were all under impressed with the service, we had to flag down our waitress and ask for water refills and or to order more drinks several times ....... also wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu or basic questions we were asking as again it was everyone's 1st time there Vibe/atmosphere is FLAT No smiles or Thank you's Or HI LADIES ect Drinks were good ! Food was ok No major wow factor for me personally maybe I should have ordered something else I got a chorizo scramble and it just ok I think for me it was when I asked for some salsa and I was given a bottle of some sort of hot sauce ...... and I was expecting actual authentic salsa not a bottle of hot sauce lol The other ladies enjoyed their entrees Prices are more on the higher end of the spectrum Total after tip was $500

Yelp
Visited with local friends on our way out of town and was blown away by the food here. Very classy establishment with friendly and patient staff and richly flavored plates. I ordered the salmon benedict while my wife had the BLT-A and our daughter had the two eggs any way. The eggs benedict were perfectly cooked, with the yolk allowing a nice contrast to the salmon and muffin. The hollandaise tasted homemade and wasn't overwhelming. Wife raved about the BLT-A, especially their generosity with the avocado. And our daughter loved her over medium fried eggs and bacon. Any time the little one does a happy dance, you know you're in the right place. Highly recommended for brunch, looking forward to an opportunity to come for other meals.

Yelp
Giving them 5 stars but for a different reason lol . Here we go . I chose this place to come to for my birthday. The 5 stars is for them accommodating my time with reservations I made prior and changed the time twice , as well as the customer service . Everyone was friendly and they close at 10 me and my friends were there past then and we decided to leave but they made me feel so welcome and didn't rush us out or anything so Thankyou ! It's very nice outside and in . Dark and dim but intimate . I'd definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion . Menu offers a lot and I'll definitely come back to try more . For it to be on the pricier side ... We got a lot of stuff to share and try . Oysters were fresh but small . I've paid less for bigger . The clam chowder was very good but for the price no way I'd get it again it's such a small serving for just one person . I got the rack of lamb. They didn't ask how I wanted it made but that's ok because it came just how I like it , medium rare and it was so delectable. Also my dish came with asparagus risotto but they let me change mines to mushroom risotto which is also on their menu for a different meal . It was so yummy creamy just the right amount of mushroom . My friend got the seafood Alfredo which came with very lump crab meat , prawns and scallops . Melts in your mouth nothing was overcooked and flavored well . My twin also got the pappardelle frutti di mare but he asked for Alfredo instead of the tomato sauce and they accommodated his dish as well : very yummy . They gave us free champagne for my birthday but no birthday dessert. Idk if they forgot because I've seen birthday desserts before being a yelper lol . Lobster ravioli tastes nothing like lobster more like stuffing you eat on thanksgiving lol . Whatever they use for the filling over powers any taste of lobster so the price wasn't worth it to me either . I'd give this restaurant a try again because it's fresh and good quality food they cook . Little things I think could be more bang for its buck . I definitely don't mind spending on food but yea . And again my 5 stars for them was the whole experience with the staff .

Yelp
RESERVATION I made a reservation for a table for two on a Tuesday at 07:30 PM through OpenTable. Since my SO and I live in South Bay, we calculated a good amount of traffic time just in case. We arrived early, but the host was friendly and eager to seat us immediately. The restaurant was at about 65% capacity upon arrival. PARKING Street parking and parking lots around the area. SERVICE Our server was attentive and friendly. He checked on us often, recommended popular dishes, and had a smile on the entire evening. Splendid. FOOD & DRINK Cocktail/Mocktail * Bit of Tongue Aperol, Absinthe, Prosecco, Grapefruit & Lime Juice, Simple. This cocktail was good. It was solid and balanced. * Troxler's Effect Seedlip Spice 94, Agave Nectar, Hibiscus Tea, Fresh Lime Juice, and a Spiced Sugar-Salt Rim. This mocktail is a beautiful creation. It tasted fresh and fun. I loved the spiced sugar-salt rim. Firsts * Butter Chive Biscuits - These three squared biscuits were delightful. They were buttery, flakey, and the right amount of savory and sweet. They were served with whipped honey butter, which was airy and tasty. I highly recommend trying this starter plate. * Calamari Fritto - Another plate that did its job. The batter on the calamari was perfect: crispy and the right amount of batter. The calamari was seasoned and paired well with the lemon aioli. We enjoyed the crispy brussels and shishito peppers, which were good complements. Mains * Ribeye - My SO ordered this and debated between a rack of lamb. Our server told us the top four mains, which included both, so ribeye was the choice. Unfortunately, the ribeye entree fell short of our expectations. The ribeye itself was cooked beautifully. However, it was on the fattier side and bland. The loaded potato was a miss. The potato was undercooked. The spinach wasn't creamed spinach; it was more like blanched spinach topped on the potato. I have no complaints about the blue cheese, pancetta, and sour cream. I believe the loaded potato would've been fine without the creamed spinach. Perhaps a spinach or pea puree adds color/greenery to the plate. * Berkshire Pork Chop - The chop came with charred broccolini, root vegetable hash, pickled apple, and pork jus cream sauce. I enjoyed everything that came with the chop. The jus was delicious and perfect to dip the chop in. My only feedback was how big and thick the chop was. Although the chop was cooked properly, it was a little tricky to cut with the knife provided. Overall, it was excellent. I had leftovers for lunch the following day. Dessert * Tiramisu - The tiramisu was paired with whipped cream and coffee gelato. Next to the coffee gelato were crumbles of what tasted like tart crust. The dessert was balanced and not too sweet. The tiramisu was light and airy. Ceron is a neat modern upscale restaurant to check out in Alameda. Good eats. Good vibes.

Yelp
We visited Ceron for a birthday celebration. My sister frequents this restaurants and recommended it highly. The ambiance was a little dark, which made reading the menu a little difficult, but other than that, beautiful venue, clean, and very spacious that you didn't feel like you were on top of the next table. Conversations we easily carried across the table and noise level was decent. Appreciated that they had a parking lot, and they looked like a good outdoor seating area with heat lamps (but the day we went was raining). Service was very attentive and nice. They offered suggestions on both food and drinks. From the host who greeted us to table service, we felt welcomed and they were very friendly. Food was deliciously prepared and shared between 5 people. My favorite was the pork chop. We also shared bolognese with Parpadelle, duck breast, steak tartare, lamb, hamachi, and calamari. For dessert we had a pastry that had chocolate and hazelnuts and a build your own sundae!

Yelp
Great service and food. Upscale American. Duck breast (4/5) -Juicy, tender! -Risotto a bit too creamy for me Lamb (3.5/5) -Cooked right to medium rare -Needed more salt and sauce for lamb because it ate dry as time went on -Asparagus risotto paired well and great way to sneak up some color and veg Burger and calamari were average nothing out of the ordinary. The Paris brest dessert leaned a bit more sweeter than my liking. Our waiter gladly took my wine off the bill when I found chunks of something in it. Would come back for a special dinner of some sort!

Yelp
I came here with co workers on a Monday for lunch and it wasn't busy. The restaurant looks small from the outside but goes back pretty far when you walk in. The ambiance is beautiful. We ordered -Tuna Tare Tare: very good! But I wish it came with more chips -Crab and Avocado: all of the flavors in this dish were very good and fresh! -Burger: I think it was called A.B.T.L avocado bacon tomato and lettuce. This was good and so were the fries. -Salmon: salmon was cooked perfect, the sauce was delicious! -Lingiuni and clams: this one fell short, didn't have much flavor in the broth. -Duck Breast: cooked perfect. Risotto was a tad salty but good overall I would come back here for a nice dinner or lunch celebration.

Yelp
Booked this place for a friends birthday dinner and what a great choice!! Always a gamble when you have never been but this high end restaurant proved its worth upon first step crossing the threshold. Beautiful venue. Gorgeous bar, plates are pieces of art, employees are incredibly warm, and even the smallest details down to plate and utensils choices really make this place pop. We didn't dress up at all but it felt like the place you kind of should wear something nice to. Very much recommend for a date night IF you've got deep pockets as it is not cheap in any sense of the word. Very much looking forward to going back to explore more of the menu because everything we had was INCREDIBLE no exaggeration. Thanks for the surprise treat chef!

Yelp
Cute lil ambiance, great service, beautifully plated dishes. This is the kind of place you enjoy because it gives date night and girls brunch vibes, because the menu gives approachable. However, my dates coffee was served to him stale and cold, my oysters were previously shucked and therefore lacking in delicious flavor. And my pasta was so salty it was inedible. The créme brûlée and cocktails are nice though...so 3 stars.

Yelp
Home run. An old friend and I spent over three hours sipping a gorgeous bottle of bubbly and dining on deliciously prepared, fresh fare... Service was pretty spot on, was slightly slow in the middle so it impacted the timing of my cocktail and a few of our dishes but we were very clear that we were in no hurry so it's not a complaint. The ambiance is dark but lit just right, clean and elegant. I loved the cheese service, the apps were delish, our entrees were knocked out of the park and we topped it off with a light but filling dessert. Had a 7:00 reservation and closed the place down well after 10 - servers remained gracious and attentive as my gal pal and I reconnected after too long apart. Great girl's night out, and would love to return soon!

Yelp
Beautiful decor, menu looks enticing, execution falls short, service needs refinement. Really want this place to succeed as there aren't that many high-end restaurants in Alameda. The restaurant is high ceilinged allowing for decent business discussions or more intimate conversations without echoing or excessive diner noise. Tables are also spread out so you won't feel cramped. Now the areas which I was disappointed in, wife and I ordered drinks, hers was brought out before the buttermilk biscuits while I had to ask for mine after the biscuits were served. Should have been brought out at the same time to allow us to toast our anniversary (No Complimentary Glasses of Champagne offered for an Anniversary as read in other reviews). Additionally, the waiter poured the entire bottle of ginger beer into the glass - all the way to the brim, there's no way of drinking the ginger beer or moving the glass without spilling. I had to sip from a straw first. Was the Waiter pissed because I had to ask him for my drink after the biscuits were served? Not very professional. The food - we shared the buttermilk biscuits and an order of tuna tartare with chips. The ahi tuna tartare should have been fresher and also came with one large chip which was not enough for the tuna tartare. Maybe it was not as fresh because we dined on a Monday? For entrees, I had salad with an 8 ounce grilled rib eye steak. Asked for medium rare but the steak came out medium as it was a thin sliced rib eye as those sold in supermarkets. I sent it back and received a medium rare rib eye. Spouse had the duck on risotto. Duck breast was nicely cooked and tasty however the risotto was over salted. As for service, my friends had dined at Ceron previously on non-special occasions and were comped desserts and other items. We didn't expect anything at the start of dining but we thought we might receive a comped dessert since the waiter had asked if we were celebrating anything. Nothing comped, no chocolate written "Happy Anniversary" on our bread pudding plate (all desserts are $12) although we did receive a Happy Anniversary salutation from the waiter as he delivered the check. Yes, we had high expectations after hearing raves from our friends and were truly disappointed considering what you're spending ($190 for two with tax and tip - one glass of wine, one ginger beer, buttermilk biscuit, tuna tartare, duck on risotto, steak and salad combo, and one dessert) at this high-end restaurant. Furthermore, other Yelp anniversary reviews noted complimentary glasses of champagne comped to the anniversary couple - not us though. Lack of equity is always a big turn-off. And topping off my ginger beer to the brim is definitely a no no. Disappointing!

Yelp
So I decided to stop in the spot after church. I will say that the ambience is very nice. The spot is overpriced. I got the French toast and the potatoes and eggs. The potatoes were good The food is cool but like I said it's very high priced but the ambience is nice but it's a little overpriced. Of course it wasn't a lot of people in there and it might be because it's overpriced. They probably should bring their prices down just a little bit if they bring their prices down, they just may pack the place out. A little bit more was nice. I came in here by myself, and when I came in there by myself, the hostess, she looked like she was a little bit shocked. I don't know. People sometimes seem a little shock when they see you walk into restaurants by yourself to eat but America needs to get used to people eating by themselves.

Yelp
Got seated pretty quickly. Got Voss water, two different cocktails and a coke in under 10 minutes. Appetizer also came out quick. The seafood chowder had so many pieces of clams and shrimp in it and it wasn't just liquid soup. We ended up packing both of our entrees home because we got so full. The only con is that they don't have air conditioning. I enjoyed watching TV while eating outside at the patio. Will definitely come back when it's not as hot outside and the servers were so nice, they even offered to pack our food for us.

Yelp
Be forewarned. $8 for four slices of sour dough bread that we wanted on the side and not listed on the menu. A surprise $4.95 restaurant surcharge when the bill arrived. The manager said it was restaurant specific, with a smile. Not sure for what, nor was it stated on their menu beforehand. This was worse than price gouging at the gas pump. Took my sister out for one of the most expensive dinners here in Alameda where I've lived most of my life. I'd go to Trabocco in South Shore any evening where the tab would be a third of the $186 meal I paid for two drinks, two dinner entrees and one dessert to share. For solid food, not anything to write home about, a seafood parpadelle dish with 4 shrimp as the highlight ingredient was a whopping $51, a breast chicken dinner was $33. Sparking water at $15. Thank goodness my tap water was free. This is taking advantage of inflation pricing and doubling it.

Yelp
11/10 Food was stellar. Drinks were works of art. Will definitely be back. We started with the biscuits (DO NOT SKIP), the seafood chowder and the gnocchi. Each one was absolutely perfect and delicious. My only complaint is that I can't buy a duffle bag full of those biscuits and honey butter! Omg will crave forever. For entrees we did the filet and the papardelle frutti di mare. The green peppercorn sauce on the filet was delicious adding a perfect bite and spice. The filet itself was a beautiful cut with a perfect char and chew. The potato puree and asparagus were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The main star here tonight though was the papardelle. Not even the dish as a whole (which was fantastic and outperformed any cioppino we've ever had) but the noodles themselves are INSANELY delicious and perfectly prepared! I already can't wait to get the bolognese next time we come. We had a series of drinks during our visit, and they were all stellar. I did 2 rounds of the El Sueno, which is dangerously delicious, we also did the very sexy martini, between the sheets, and a bit of tongue. These cocktails were each expertly crafted, perfectly balanced and absolutely chuggable. Bring me a pitcher of sleep, chef! I'm so impressed with our visit here in posting my review still at the table; waiting for dessert to arrive. Will update soon!

Yelp
Apparently Ceron didn't get my 'don't change a thing' memo, because they got rid of their AH-MAZING chocolate silk pie! We used to come in just for this dessert, plus drinks. Businesses: PLEASE stop changing things that work well and that people like! This dessert is one of the main things I always looked forward to going to Ceron, so imagine my disappointment when I realized they had removed it from the menu. Why?? Come on Ceron.... Do your supporters a solid, and bring this dessert back! Still love y'all, but next time we return, I want my silk pie dang it!

Yelp
This place has potential, but unfortunately most dishes are overpriced. Ingredients are fresh but portion size leaves much to be desired. Service was decent. Ambiance is beautiful. Pancakes were delish but quite small for a $14 dish. Crab omelette ($28) had very nice tasting and fresh crab, but when I opened the omelette, there were a few pieces :( The short rib tortellini ($35!!) felt seriously overpriced. While the sauce was delicious, the pieces of meat were very few and the cheese in the tortellini was so so. Bloody Mary ($17) was nice but not sure if it's $17 good lol. Lemon pound cake ($10) was just ok for me...super dense and thin slice. Overall, glad we visited, but will need to have a hard think on it before we revisit.

Yelp
My new obsession. Came here with my husband for my birthday on a Saturday morning and we LOVED it. Beautiful upscale decor, great ambiance, great service, and great food!! It's a bit of a gem honestly. We had a reservation, but they weren't too busy when we arrived (we could've shown up without one). We were seated at a table near the front bar and patio. We ordered: - Dungeness Crab & Avocado Omelette: delicious lumps of crab, plenty of perfectly ripe avocado, crispy and well seasoned potatoes w/ a buttered and toasted english muffin. - Maine Lobster Benedict: SO GOOD! The hollandaise was rich and smooth, lobster was cooked to the perfect temp, egg was runny and luscious, avocado slices throughout, and the sprinkle of chives on top was a nice touch. - Affogato: it was my birthday, so yes, dessert for breakfast! Delicious vanilla bean ice cream w/ a well prepared shot of espresso We also had 2 cocktails: - Orange Juice Mimosa - Champagne Cocktail: this was unique and fun. I've never had anything quite like it. Everything was amazing and we will certainly be back. Shout out to our [very] young waiter who did a great job taking care of us - kind, attentive, and resourceful (when he couldn't answer a question we had he found someone who could right away). Also, grateful for the birthday champagne that we were given. :)

Yelp
Came here with a few friends on a Sunday for brunch. It was such a large and cute spot. I ordered the red velvet martini and lobster Benedict's. The food was great. The drink was too sweet for an alcoholic drink. The service was super efficient and everyone was very friendly.

Carol N.

Yelp
Walk by this place a lot and finally came to visit for a Saturday lunch with a party of 8. Our friend easily made a reservation and added a last minute friend. Arrived to a fairly empty, large, & beautiful space. I actually love how not crowded nor loud the place is. We were able to have a very pleasant catch up session and everyone enjoyed their dish. Appreciated the aesthetics down to the utensils! I ordered the steak and eggs medium rare with sunny side up eggs. No complaints here, my steak was cooked as requested and delicious. The dish also came with an almond cinnamon chef pastry that reminded me of a coffee crunch like dessert. Loved that you got a bit of savory and sweet, felt like a complete meal. We skipped dessert but honestly I can't wait to come back here and try more dishes. We parked on the street fairly easily on a Saturday morning at 11 am. It looks like there's a private lot on the side but the gate wasn't open so not sure if it's part of the restaurant or not. I would definitely consider this spot for large parties.

Leesha T.

Yelp
Gala, the bartender was extra sweet and attentive. It was a little slow for a Saturday night, but my friend and I got great service because of it. We love sitting at the bar to have cocktails and to dine because we get to chat with the bartenders. We started off with the Kumamoto oysters which were tasty! Not like the other ones I've tried, but still pretty delicious. And on the bigger side. More medium than small. I'm used to the smaller ones that are packed with flavor. We also shared the king crab ravioli which was amazing! That was finished rather quickly lol Next I ordered the pork chop, and my friend had the Lobster Fettucine. Both were incredible. The only thing about the pork chop was that it was so enormous that it was quite difficult to cut through, but the flavors were an absolute hit. This place is rather fancy for Alameda, but it reminded me of LA, so for that I loved it! Would highly recommend if you want to impress a date or a have a business meeting.

Yelp
This place is da bomb!! Best restaurant I've eaten in all year. It's gorgeous too- looks like a Vegas lounge inside. Extremely well-appointed with superb staff. And then there's the FOOD. OMG- over the top well prepared with a wonderful selection. We took our birthday guys for brunch and they were quite pleased Lobster rolls, Lobster Benedict (?!), Drinks, Tiramisu. Yum yum yum. Thank you, Ceron, for existing! This is THE place to bring your friends, coworkers, employees for a fine dining treat. And so easy to park in safe downtown Alameda.

Cindy N.

Yelp
This place was SO GOOD! The ambiance and vibe was very classy and elegant. I went for a girls night out and we really enjoyed ourselves! Their cocktails were super yummy and their food was high quality! I got the duck which was sooooo tasty and flavorful. I definitely want to come back!

Yelp
Celebrating my birthday at Ceron Kitchen! Thanks, chef/partner Juan Juarez who prepared 3 courses dinner for my special day. The food was tasty, especially New York Hudson Valley duck foie gras served on top of brioche and marmalade. Next course was Italian campanelle (bell shape, durum wheat semolina) with cream sauce, breaded then fried mozzarella cheese. For the entree was roasted prime rib with au jus, served with baked Idaho potato, sauteed spinach, feta cheese and Canadian pancetta bacon. The service was professional, detailed, and attentive. Thanks to Miguel, who was formerly head bartender at Trabocco Italian restaurant; Karina, who is the bartender, waitress also at Alley and Vine in Alameda and Arnold for your service. They treated me like part of their family. I'm so blessed!

Yelp
Ceron is an amazing option for a more upscale restaurant in Alameda and I think people haven't quite caught on to it yet, so I've never had trouble getting a reservation. Everything we tried was amazing, and I specifically enjoyed it the fish dish with the lobster butter. I came to celebrate my birthday, and they gave us a round of champagne and a dessert, which I thought was very generous and much appreciated. I returned for brunch, and the brunch was pretty good, but I'd say the dinner menu was a little bit better. A great option for celebrating or for date night.

Jaymie V.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with some friends. This place is super cute and spacious. They have plenty of parking space in the back of the restaurant. You'll have to turn on pacific ave and parking lot is across from Kelly-Moore paints. They have a variety of food and drinks. I ordered the huevos rancheros and I thought it was okay but would probably order something else next time.

Yelp
I've been here many times now and it's become one of my favorite consistent restaurants that strives for excellence and great service. Service - the staff is alway amazing, helpful, friendly, honest, and attentive. Food - lobster tempura is delicious!! - They have an Expansive brunch menu - my favorite menu item to date is the lobster avocado Benedict (my mouth is watering as I type this out). - The branzino is delicious. The skin was crisp enough, the fish was flavored exceptionally well without being overly salty. The buttery whipped potatoes bring everything together and I also enjoyed the cauliflower, corn and carrots (this may be a seasonal thing- which is great). Ambiance - upscale environment, trendy, classy, clean aesthetic - there are rose gold accents throughout (ceiling is tiled, table decorations all the way to the S/P shakers and accessories in the restrooms ) - there's always soft music playing in the background, kudos to whoever curates their playlist. - love that there is also additional parking in the back of the restaurant.

Yelp
There were so many options I need to come back! We came for Sunday brunch and we're not disappointed. The wait was nonexistent. Walked in and sat immediately. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Jesus was our guy with all the great recommendations! I started off with the seafood chowder 5/5 I'll be getting this every time I return. It comes with bacon and shrimp in a hot bowl and the waiter pours the chowder into the bowl right there at the table. Presentation 1000x. For the main brunch I ordered the lobster tail and smashed avocado Benedict. Yes another 5/5 the hollandaise sauce was very light allowing for the flavors of the lobster to shine. So tasty and will be hard to order something other than this next time. To drink I had the maple old fashion very smooth brunch addition

Yelp
Pretty swank restaurant with deeply romantic atmosphere. It's very dark inside, so, dark that we asked for a 2nd lamp on our table. All good though. More importantly, we got seated right away, we had excellent service, and the food was very good! We shared the following dishes for 4 ppl: :) calamari - loved that they added in some veggies with the calamari. :) clam chowder - wow, it was butter and heavy cream, which made it ultra luxurious! :) crab louie salad - it was fine, i can't remember if there were any crab in it but definitely had baby shrimps :) ribeye steak with ravioli and cream spinach - the truffle oil was so lovely, it was good! :) ny steak w/wine sauce - tougher meat but so much flavor. i love me a ny steak :) tres leche cake - they added a very nice hbd chocolate for added celebratory effects. it worked! we especially love the dollops of lemon cream on the side of the cake :) free complimentary hazelnut squares - free is free and such a nice treat and unexpected. so, thank you, ceron kitchen! I went on an impromptu Tuesday evening and early, so, there were plenty of space for more patrons. But overall, we had a really lovely evening. I'm pretty sure I'll be back with my friend squad to try out their cocktails... see ya'll soon.

Yelp
We went here for a friend's birthday, which seemed to be very common. The atmosphere is enchanting with beautiful holiday decor. Staff was friendly but they changed server mid meal which was a little confusing. One nice thing was they gave us each a complimentary glass of Prosecco before our main course for the birthday party. We started with the Calamari - nice and crispy outside but very salty, inside a bit chewy. We shared 2 salads- beet salad was delicious , crunchy candied walnuts and blue cheese. Wedged salad was also good, with avocado balls and hb eggs We ordered several entrees - Ribeye w/ potato; Tortellini with filet chunks and Rack of lamb with asparagus risotto. All meats were tender & cooked perfectly. The risotto tasted good but I didn't realize it was purée asparagus, as I expected a risotto with chunks of asparagus. Still flavorful and creamy however. Dessert was a delicious Crème brûlée (and I'm a brûlée snob) and a yummy Birthday Sundae. Overall a delicious meal. Pricy but good for that special occasion. *one thing to note is the menu online is not the same as in restaurant so if you're like me an want to read the menu ahead and select your meal, be prepared.

Christine U.

Yelp
Wow, the food is very good at Ceron. The appetizer was off the chart. I looked at what the ingredients were and could not imagine the combination. When it came out it was so beautifully arranged and the taste was divine. We ordered the seafood plates with pappardelle and linguini. I highly recommend the seafood linguini or pappardelle entree which the linguini had a very subtle spiciness in the white sauce. I really liked it. Try it. It's a beautiful place. The service is very good. It's a special place. Celebrate.

DeAnna H.

Yelp
I walked in off the street looking for a place to eat that can cater to my food allergies. I had the Seafood Fettuccine, and I can honestly say that it knocked my socks off. They made sure that the ingredients that I couldn't have weren't cooked into my entree The customer service by far was superb. I also met one of the owners, very very sweet gentleman! It's a must try and keep going type of restaurant! And did I say that the food is exceptionally fabulous!!! My new go to spot!!!

Yelp
Took the whole family here for an important dinner and I was not disappointed at all. Fantastic atmosphere and excellent service. We as a family created a timeless memory here that will be remembered forever. We were about 12 people and every single one of us loved our food. The staff knew it was an important dinner and made the best of it for us. As a true alamedian, born and raised, I'm so happy we have a luxurious fine dining restaurant in our city. I highly recommend this place for any important occasions, your guests will be impressed! I wish I had better pictures but I was enjoying the vibes too much.

Yelp
Food - 3.5 stars Service -4 Came here for lunch on a not so busy day, but the food prep time is quit lengthy. I guessed if you have lots of leisure time, it would be fine if you are not rushed to return to work. Not sure the lunch menu is the same as the dinner, but if you like to have short ribs, steaks or scallops for lunch that will do. Price point is on a higher scales. The atmosphere and the decor is supreme. Th octopus tostada is very different, the octopus was cooked well, and love that tangy citrus kumquats, but did not taste the black garlic aioli, The pizza made on the thin crest with good amount of mushrooms and pepperoni but a bit oily. Overall experience not bad, perhaps it does better with the leisure or business meals..

Karen C.

Yelp
3.5 stars, but I rounded up to 4 because I appreciate the fresh decor and the service. My party arrived at around 11:45 for brunch. We were welcomed by the hostess and was seated right away. We sat in the patio area, which was spacious with good lighting. My table ordered several appetizers to share. We got the porcini brioche with porcini butter, calamari, and the filet mignonette. The favorite was the calamari because it was nice and crispy with good flavor. Otherwise, the rest of the appetizers were alright, but didn't impress the group too much. My banana waffle was satisfying, but nothing special. I do wish my waffle was a little bit more crisp. The rest of my party was also satisfied with their meal. Their meal was cooked well. Overall, Ceron may be a little pricy for what we got, but it's a nice atmosphere and very pleasant and attentive staff. You will be full and satisfied when you leave!
