"Not only will you not feel like you’re in west London at Ceru, you also won’t feel like you’re in England anymore. This spot in South Kensington is a bright space, with plenty of Aztec upholstery, an open kitchen, and more mint yoghurt than that time you tried to cure your sunburn on the cheap. Their modern Levantine dishes are perfect for sharing, with plenty of humous, fresh salads, spiced meats and seafood. Sure, you might doubt whether you can fit in karides, houmous, hamara, a feta salad, zucchini fritters, merguez chicken, and a whole lamb shoulder all in one sitting, but please know that we’re rooting for you. And your stomach capacity. But whatever you do, don’t skip the houmous here as it’s some of the best in town. It’s also worth noting that they do £11 big lunch platters that are guaranteed to arrive within 20 minutes, which is perfect if you’re looking for a great, quick bite between museums. When you’re after a bit of this and a bit of that, mini-chain Tapas Brindisa also works for a decent spread. "Ceru is one of the sunniest restaurants in this part of town, and along with the modern Levantine dishes, their new and expanded -for-2020 al fresco dining area gives this South Ken spot proper vacay feels. "Ever found yourself screaming ‘why Thor, why’ at the sky in the middle of August? Of course you have, you live in England. But rather than trying to invent another pseudo sun dance, just head for Levantine spot Ceru in Kensington. This place has enough rainbow Aztec upholstery, cucumber martinis, and mint yoghurt on the menu to make you forget all about the weather outside.
