"With its origin story starting in Cuba, where Cervecaria La Tropical thrived for decades until the Castro regime came into power, this handsome brewery opened in January 2021, showcasing an onsite brewery operation, taproom, restaurant, and botanical garden. Core beers offered include the original amber lager, whose recipe dates back to 1888, and Miami-centric offerings like amber lagers Art Basel and Inter Miami 2023." - Alona Martinez
"Local beers and bites from Cerveceria La Tropical’s restaurant atop the Crypto.com terrace are also available." - Olee Fowler
"Cerveceria La Tropical has something more valuable in Wynwood these days than a rented Bugatti: space. The huge indoor/outdoor brewery has its own kitchen too, which makes this place feel like a proper restaurant. The menu is mostly Cuban/Caribbean dishes like jerk chicken, churrasco, and pulled pork penne. The bar bites are great as well, like the housemade plantain chips with black bean hummus and the very aesthetic beer can bread. " - isabel maza, ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
"Cerveceria is an indoor/outdoor brewery and restaurant big enough to have its own zip code. They have a Cuban and Caribbean menu with things like yucca fries, jerk chicken wings, ceviche, and shockingly good plantain chips. Most of the food (except those incredible plantain chips) is pretty good. But it’s more of a place to drink, snack, and watch live music—which they sometimes have outside during the weekend. Things also don’t get too wild here, so this is one Wynwood bar where you can confidently bring the family." - Ryan Pfeffer
"Plantain Chips Is there such a thing as a bad plantain chip? Probably not. But the massive new Wynwood brewery Cerveceria La Tropical showed me this week that there is such a thing as a perfect plantain chip. Cerveceria’s are thicker than most, cupped (kind of like the pepperonis on the pizza I was just talking about), and go perfectly with the refreshing beers they serve here. I truly could not stop commenting on them, and got some interesting looks when I spent five minutes trying to photograph one. I sincerely hope Cerveceria one day sells these in grocery stores." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea
