"COVID-19 Update: Open for takeout and delivery. One of the first things you'll likely notice is that the stools here aren't particularly comfortable—we're guessing this was an intentional decision, otherwise everyone would stick around for even longer. Despite the packed scene (you'll get intimate with your neighbor), this is one of our favorites in Culver City, thanks to the California-Mexican menu and the frequent happy hours. COVID-19 Disclaimer: We are working hard to keep our listings as up to date as possible (deliveries, outdoor dining, etc.), but given the evolving nature of local COVID-19 restrictions, we recommend double-checking the information in this guide with any business you plan on visiting. Overall my experience was good. I ordered the chicken tinga bowel, which i substituted the rice with lettuce but i received my order without the extra lettuce. My food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I like the pickled onions and charred jalpenos. It gave it that nice contrast with the chicken and beans. You order your food at the window and the seating is all outdoor which gives it a nice vibe. The food is on the more expensive side but totally worth trying.

This food truck has transformed into an authentic Mexican taco spot, and there’s no way you could call it cheap or divey. We got three tacos and two appetizers, and the bill came out to $70. Each taco had a generous amount of meat, but at $13 to $14 per taco, plus $5 for each handmade corn tortilla, each taco ends up being $18 to $20. The food was tasty, but definitely on the pricier side—just don’t get shell-shocked when the check comes. The staff were fine—nothing special, but they were decent.

Google
Great menu. Easy to order at the counter and can order online for pickup as well. I ended up getting the chorizo breakfast burrito and was very impressed. Really good size and packed with a lot of meat and eggs. Would highly recommend for a quick bite in Culver City.

Andrea Santos

Google
the chorizo is probably my favorite breakfast burrito — massive portions and the extra sauces add extra dimensions to the already insanely flavorful burrito.

Google
Yum! So to break it down, the breakfast burritos are pricey ($16.50 for one) BUT at least it tasted really good. The burrito was good quality and I enjoyed all the ingredients. It’s really large & I was unable to finish one on my own. The sauces & salsas were delicious as well.

Google
One order of meatless nachos and one breakfast burrito: "That's $29.90." What the heck dude? You're not even a sit down restaurant and you're charging that? The $15 bkfast burrito had stale bacon and a dry tortilla. OK, ok, it tasted fine and was sizable. You can't really screw up a bkfast burrito. As for the $12 nachos? Man, why are you jamming it all into a burrito container a la Taco Bell? Half of the chips were busted up and the guac was a little brown. I went there around 7:30pm and it just seemed like all of the ingredients in everything I ate were sitting out in the open since 11am.

Google
Menu in 2021 vs 2025 Breakfast Burrito: $11 2021 16.50 2025 (50% increase) Regular Burrito: $11.50 2021 $17 2025 (47% increase) Tortas: $12 2021 $20 2025 (66% increase) Beans: $3 2021 $6 2025 (100% increase) Rice: $3 2021 $6 2025 (100% increase) Taco: $4.15 2021 $7-8 (68%-92% increase) This is all before tax and expected tip. The portion sizes of the burritos have gone down significantly as well (probably 20-30% smaller). The burrito I got today was barely the size of my hand. I've been coming here for years. The food is good but not good enough to justify this significant of a price jump. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

Austin K

Google
$8 for a taco and $20 for a burrito is crazy, I tried it thinking it must be an amazing or gourmet taco for that price but no it's pretty standard. Bold move to charge that much for decent Mexican food in a city where there's probably a thousand options that charge half as much if not less, I don't see longevity in this restaurant's future.

Yelp
Seems like a cool hole in the wall. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito. So many great flavors. The chorizo was perfectly spiced, the eggs fluffy, and the potatoes added just the right amount of comfort. The salsas it came with were very tasty as well. One had a nice kick to it. Got a horchata. And had a nice taste to it. Cinnamon goodness. Fast service, super friendly workers, and great ambiance. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast burritos. Been there a handful of times and I've gotten the bacon or chorizo breakfast burrito. The burritos are huge, they're usually my breakfast and lunch because I can't finish the thing in one sitting. They have home made salsas too which are also bomb.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
All tortillas are handmade All the salsa have lots of flavor A little hole in the wall feels like a gem staff is friendly vibe is very laid-back Service was friendly and quick Will be back

Yelp
Really good Mexican food not too expensive. And a place to sit if you want to. A good points rewards system. I've been going there for a very long time and I like to support a local businesses.

Yelp
Delicious chicken bowl! Very filling and healthy. Great price and loved the spice of their salsas.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
I have passed by here many a time, only to wonder if the Mexican food was legit. OMG, broke da mout! My Pork Chile Verde burrito was as delicious as I ever had before. Came with a mild red sauce and chips. Mucho bueno!

Yelp
This place is so good! Pictured is the horchata, elote, and bean and cheese burrito. The service was quick and friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Way overpriced for what you get!!! $7 for a single taco? You can go to the corner tent and get a way better taco for half the price. This place was empty on a Friday evening. Not a good sign!!! The employees were yelling and cursing while we were eating too. One of them walked out of the kitchen and cursed very loudly while my daughter was eating right next to him. Who does that??? Get some class and respect for your customers! This place was a HUGE disappointment!

Yelp
This is my 'go to' breakfast burrito spot in LA. When friends from out of town want something to eat that's LA, I bring them here. Below is a screenshot of a work colleagues response when I recommended this place to him. I told him if he did not enjoy his burrito I would Venmo him.

Yelp
What a cute little Mexican spot in downtown Culver! My friend and I came here for lunch and it was the best experience. You order in the front and take a seat wherever you find a table, which is all outdoors. It's located right behind the main strip of downtown Culver, so it's a bit more quiet where it's located, which was great. I ordered their baja fish, carne asada, and barbacoa tacos (not pictured). My favorite was the baja fish tacos, it was the perfect amount of crispy and tender fish. The carne asada was good too, their meat portion was substantial. My least favorite was the barbacoa taco, it was really saucy and I was full by the time I got to my third taco, so I couldn't finish the barbacoa taco. My friend and I shared the mexi queso chips, which was good! The chips are homemade and super crunchy. I wish the cheese melted a bit more but overall, still a really nice side snack. The service was great and super friendly. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area!

Yelp
Ordered the bacon breakfast burrito about 17$ for a relatively small portion. The taste was a little dry and tortilla was kind of flaky. Not sure if this was just an off day also no restrooms here Service was friendly

Yelp
Staff is nice at this fast casual spot with only outdoor seating. Metered street parking as well as a nearby lot with 1 hour free parking (don't park at the lot that looks like it belongs to them; it belongs to the dialysis center). Pricing is as expected as well as their portions. Breakfast burrito is solid as it is filled with lots of fluffy eggs. I do wish the potatoes were cripsy and I did appreciate that they did not overdue it with the amount of potato. The stand out are their fresh salsas. The chipotle mayo looks good but needed more flavor. Not my favorite breakfast burrito but still very enjoyable.

Yelp
4++ Fun little neighborhood spot that came up on my radar because of their breakfast burritos. I think they do lunch/dinner as well, but I specifically came for their breakfast burritos. This place is actually pretty close to me in the Palms/ Culver area along the busy street - Venice Blvd. Not sure why I haven't been here since it's so close. They also have tortillas for sale too. Very intriguing. Will have to come back for those. The place seemed a little small, as it was essentially a walk up ordering counter. There's some limited seating out front. I ended up ordering the combo, which included the breakfast burrito (I got bacon) and a coffee. The coffee was really good and the breakfast burrito was great! For the coffee, I just like a little cream/ half & half and it had a great, smooth flavor. The burrito had great texture - the bacon is cooked to be on the more crispy side - and great flavors. The potatoes also added to the texture and the flavors all melded together really well. Especially with a little of the included salsa. Overall, a really great spot to get your breakfast burrito fix. Parking was fairly easy to find along the street.

Yelp
I really liked this spot! I got a vegetarian burrito which by default comes with chips (true for all burritos) and guacamole. It was a super filling and happy-making meal. The guac was a great addition. There were ample chips on the side so I didn't feel a need to order more. And, I was surprised that their spicy salsa was actually spicy. I had to pace myself which I normally don't need to do lol. Service was fast. I like their outdoor seating venue; on a warm evening it's great ambiance.

Yelp
This place is tiny but mighty. It may not look like much from the side of the street, but the food certainly knows how to deliver. Very tasty tacos, nachos, and salsas. My friends tried the breakfast burrito and they both really enjoyed it. I will be ordering that next time I go, which will be very soon!

Eric K.

Yelp
Trying to determine if the "Egg Surcharge" in my $18 breakfast burrito was for the colossal piece of shell I chomped down on? Also, ordered pick up...there's a massive "Free Parking" sign out front that is apparently a parking garage down the street. The parking attendant wouldn't let me utilize any of the dozen coned off spaces in their actual lot for what was a sub-two minute errand even after explaining I was only picking up a to-go order. "It's not that far!" according to him! This place was already on probation in my eyes for being comically expensive for what it is. I'm officially done!
google avatar

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito in the area!! Seriously so good, do yourself a favor and give it a try! Low key, unassuming spot in Culver City - it's such a hidden gem. Walk up to the counter to order (or call ahead if it's a busy time of day). The breakfast burritos are fantastic (try the chicken tinga!) Hearty portions, stuffed with eggs, potatoes, beans and meat of your choice. Get extra salsa and crema! I've gone for lunch as well, the bowls and tacos are also really good, but breakfast is the star for me. There's a handful of tables outside, but it does get full at meal times. Everyone who works there is super nice! They also have a loyalty program (I think it's linked to your phone or email) so you can get money off a future purchase. Parking is standard Culver City. Street parking (meters) out front if you're lucky, or one of the lots around town.

Yelp
Ambiance: it's a food court style Mexican place, outdoor seating only and good for takeout Service: you place the order and take the food from the same counter, it's a self-serving place, grab your own utensils and napkins, you'll need to find and clean your own table afterwards as well Food: simple menu items, specialized in burritos and tacos Breakfast Burritos - **** EGG, CHEESE, BLACK BEANS, TATER TOTS, choice of bacon, fresh and crunchy, recommend MACHEITE'S QUESADILLA - *** FLOUR TORTILLA, JACK CHEESE, AOLI, CILANTRO, RED ONION, choice of beef, average taste Price: generous portions and affordable prices, about $15 per person
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
A bit pricey for a burrito considering we're in Southern California and there's a fire burrito on nearly every corner BUT it's pretty damn good. Usually my spot for a breakfast burrito and a great veggie spot if that's your thing.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Love this spot, will definitely go back. Great fish tacos - very hole in the wall experience smack in the middle of west la.
google avatar

Yelp
I honestly didn't have high hopes for this place. Seemed like a spot more into brews than good food. I am thrilled to be very wrong. Cerveteca has some some of the best Mexican food I've had outside of San Diego. Asada burrito is solid, as are their "machete" quesadillas. Everything's cooked well, tortillas are great, and their salsas are top notch. Even the standard red salsa is really flavorful and well developed with a fantastic dried chile flavor to it. Everything you get is great, nothing, even the sides, are an afterthought. By far my favorite spot for Mexican food in the area. Well worth a visit.

Brenda J.

Yelp
Minuscule, over-breaded fish taco with a virtual trough of soggy steak fries. Make it make sense. It's a shame how some restaurants lower standards for 3rd party pick-up orders (and they are not the only one).
google avatar

Jonathan H.

Yelp
I've come here a few times for breakfast/brunch, and it always hits the spot! There are so many good breakfast places in the area, but Cerveteca has one of the best breakfast burritos (in my opinion). I always get mine with bacon and no beans. I've never had an issue with my order coming out wrong (knock on wood). The bacon bits are always super crispy, which adds a great crunch throughout the burrito. The portion size is geIt also comes with a delicious salsa (along with standard salsas). The salsa really adds a great flavor, and it's one of the reasons I think Cerveteca stands out for me. I will say that the coffee is a skip, although if you're not super picky about your coffee, the price is awesome (especially if you order it with your burrito). The place itself is fairly small, but I've always taken my food to-go and enjoyed it at home. I usually call ahead to place my order, but even if you order there, the service is prompt, and the staff is always friendly. Would highly recommend this place if anyone is searching for a delicious breakfast burrito!
google avatar

Addy K.

Yelp
This is hands down one of my favorite breakfast burritos places! There's limited outdoor seating but most people order to go. Make sure to get the green hot sauce if you like spicy!
google avatar

Nishat H.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem! Wish I knew about this place earlier. We got their delicious breakfast burritos and absolutely loved them. The burritos are filled, toasted, and come with delicious sauces. Service was great as the women helped us decide and even gave us extra salsas when we couldn't decide which to get.
google avatar

Abe L.

Yelp
We ordered the house chorizo burrito with no beans (not my thing) and mama's guacamole. Amazing. The bottom of the fajita wrap had a fun crisp. The chorizo had a good level of heat. And the tater tots mashed into the burrito were on point. Music was perfect for this gen x-er. And was amazed at how the outdoor seating right next to Venice Blvd wasn't too loud with traffic noise or soot. (Service was pretty excellent too).

Yelp
Almost made a second trip to Cava this week then realized this was on my list and hadn't been yet and it didn't disappoint! I came in knowing what i wanted from a friends recommendation but the service was fast and prompt. Only 3-4 people ahead of us but it went quickly I had the salmon taco(extra crispy skin) and it was definitely crispy and a Baja fish taco with a side of rice. I was going back and forth between the two so much i lost track of which was which but both were amazing lol The Chicken tinga torta was my friends and i had a half. The sandwich was really good and came with chips. The sauce on the side was . Melted cheese with bell pepper was $2 and was a pretty small side is maybe the only complaint Horchata was really good and authentic. Another plus if you know this area is they had their own parking lot that you didn't have to pay for. I don't eat tacos a ton but I'll definitely be coming back since now i know it lives up to the hype
google avatar

Yelp
East coast style pizza shop located in the heart of Culver City's downtown. Filled with character and photos from decades of business. Beer and wine available.

Jesse H.

Yelp
Food was okay, and the prices are outrageous, I got a Baja burrito, a side of rice and beans, and a drink for $46. That is insane.
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
Stopped here with a friend for lunch around 1pm on a weekday. I got a chicken tinga bowl with egg and avo added. The meat had great flavor but there was a lot of rice for the price. My friend got tamales and said they were okay. I also got a hibiscus agua fresca which was very tasty. There is a decent amount of parking in and around the area and umbrellas for shade. Most people seemed to pick up for to go orders. I would stop here again to try their tacos!
google avatar

Sam R.

Yelp
The breakfast burritos here can make your whole day. I've stopped by many times to pick one up and they are always delicious, hot and fresh with high quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

Caden B.

Yelp
All I have to say is OH MY GOD best food I've ever had in my life never ever have. I had my taste buds ever taste. Something like that. It was literally magical. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito. Add guacamole going here every week now.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
I have been going to Cerveteca for years and it is one of the best breakfast burritos in Los Angeles. A local initially recommended the place and told me her favorite order, which is the bacon breakfast burrito with extra crispy hash-browns. Needless to say I have ordered this item many, many times. The burrito comes with a tasty semi spicy sauce that I love. Also they do not cheat you on the portion size as it's always generous. This place moved orders quickly and there is always a place to sit. If you do not find street parking, there there is a large parking structure nearby that has free one hour parking. I have noticed the menu evolve over time so there are always new items to try out in addition to old favorites. I highly recommend this restaurant for tasty Mexican food and the best breakfast burritos.
google avatar

Crystal K.

Yelp
I like the hand made taco tortillas. Decent food but it lacked some flavor for me. No bathrooms, outdoor seating
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
We've come here a good amount in the last few years because my kids like the cheese/chicken quesadillas and fried plantains. Service is nice too. The torta isn't bad but I really don't like any of their tacos. Their meat is either way over seasoned (the barbacao and chicken tinga) or super dry (carnitas). You'll need to drink a ton of water either way. It's been awhile since I've had the ceviche but I recall it wasn't bad so would recommend that over the tacos. Seating isn't abundant and eating here feels like you're dining on Venice Blvd with the cars, but there's usually not a big crowd. And usually street parking is ample, plus there's the parking lot down the street (1 hour free). Pricing is pretty high though. For a family of 4, we have to spend $75-$85 for a decent sized meal here. $20 per person has become the unfortunate standard for Culver downtown these days, which is just not sustainable for most folks.

Ramin N.

Yelp
No the what I had in mind super expensive and the food very ordinary at best a beef taco and a beef burrito $32
google avatar

Jill D.

Yelp
Delicious flavors from a very modern taco stand. I was a "weekly regular" at their OLD Venice location which had a fantastic vibe. THIS has that TASTE bit in a casual location. It still feels like "home" -- They serve chapulines, Aguas frescas; tortas; pastor... Que viva Mexico! And for the gringos - salmon tacos (grilled); Baja tacos, burritos, etc. Parking is in the structure behind them on Cardiff. Free for an hour.
google avatar

Kirlian R.

Yelp
Good costume service...food is good the burrito is amazing the asada is so good Great place to eat for breakfast lunch or dinner
google avatar

Squeaks L.

Yelp
An amazingly tasty breakfast burrito feat. the house chorizo and add-on of mama's guacamole. Pleasant service and cool vibe with eclectic music that included rap/hip hop music we grew up with (OG oldies), Frank Sinatra, and contemporary stuff. Outdoor seating and good food on a sunny day - can't beat that.
google avatar

Sevag K.

Yelp
Overall, not bad. Service was decent. Food leans more towards higher quality/artisan and not so authenic Mexican (not good nor bad, just neutral) The Bavarian Creme churros are a must.
google avatar

Erik S.

Yelp
Fantastic tacos. I've had the fish, shrimp, chicken and steak. Each had great flavor, perfectly cooked protein, great mix of toppings and perfect spice.
google avatar

Leticia B.

Yelp
I have never tasted such revolting, bland corn on the cob in my life. Despite being cut in half, they charged an exorbitant price as if it were organic and full-sized. If you plan to visit, save your money and steer clear of this dish.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We finally did and wow do I wish we had gone there sooner! My husband is partial to the carne asada burrito, but I think the real stand out is the chicken tinga (tacos or burrito-both are delicious). I am salivating just writing about it! It's not cheap (what is these days?), but it's not going to break the bank- about $25pp for food & a beer.
google avatar

mike r.

Yelp
This place is always consistent, food wise--really solid burritos, great service and on a sunny day, a really nice place to hang out (they tend to play really good music as well). Anyway the reason I am writing this is because at some point they added breakfast burritos and I gotta tell you, they are really, really good. The chorizo one is is just...it's just really good. I had one a few hours ago and I am still thinking about it. Anyway, yeah: great place! Sad they closed the Rose Ave location but happy this one is still going strong!
google avatar

Bridgette R.

Yelp
So...it took me an hour to make a selection on where I wanted to eat todayI decided to try this spot based on the Yelp reviews. I know everyone's taste buds are different, but omg. I ordered the chicken breakfast burrito. Yuck...No flavor at all all they did was fill with eggs without any seasoning and the chicken no flavor and was not tender at all. I tried 3 sauces which is the only reason the burrito had any flavor. I didn't find he it at all..
google avatar

Suzy W.

Yelp
Meh My vegetarian taco was completely soggy and I got charged eight dollars for beans and rice on the side which I thought came with. I haven't been here in a while, and I remember that it was a lot better a few years ago, so maybe something happened in the kitchen...
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
So delicious and exactly what I needed. I got the hreakfast burrito with bacon and it was so crunchy and delivious
google avatar

Balike S.

Yelp
My torta is cold. Like the onions and the meat are literally cold and the only thing warm is the bread and the chips. The beans which is barely nothing is like room temperature. This place used to be perfect, and I used to love coming here all the time with my husband. It's changed a lot. So I basically paid $25 for a cold torta, and it's smaller from the last time I was here. So it's smaller and the prices went up and it's cold. Fantastic.
google avatar

Sam O.

Yelp
Absolutely the GOAT of breakfast burritos in west LA. Bacon breakfast with guac and spicy mayo. Literally unmatched in taste and flavor. It's eggs, black beans, crispy bacon, hashbrowns and guacamole. Just get it. Thank me later.
