Creative menu, Wonderful dining experience, servers made us feel like we were frequent guests, although it was our first time, the menu is vast and diverse, with plenty of options, many daily specials, we had sampled 3 appetizers and a salad, porter house steak for 2 and 4 different dessert, because we couldn’t decide between the great choices.. All foods are fresh, done correctly and served in the right temperature, beautiful plating and. Quiet atmosphere adds to the overall experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and bar! We stayed after closing time, and servers gave us the space and time to enjoy our meal and company.

it’s typical Brooklyn - American food. . we ordered espresso martini, and it taste like vodka with water and something chocolate flavor made in cold water. Drinks garbage for sure. I will recommend you order in bottle something . Food 4/5 steak was great but to dark I think they not even clean a grill well before make a food. Souses which one comes with meal all garbage, everting else was dump, my side order come basically like I’m in 9am somewhere in dinner , homemade potato with onions this my side? lol ok and this for 270$ my bill. For that price I will go to ANY place in New York and it will be like wow! even taco truck make better food .

Took some out of towners here and I have to say that my experience was all positive from the valet to the host to our server and other staff that we came into contact with. We started with the grilled Octopus appetizer and the calamari and zucchini appetizers. The octopus was done perfectly tender and delicious I highly recommend it. It's not easy to get that right. They had the 40oz tomahawk special that our wonderful server recommended so we ordered that. It came with spinach and onions and potatoes. Both side dishes were delicious. Then we ordered a side of mushrooms and that was so good and flavorful. We split that amongst 4 people. They also had a potato leek soup which was so creamy and yum. Then we had dessert. Key lime, tiramisu and Chadwick's cheesecake. The tiramisu was delicious and the key lime has a lot of key lime flavor which I enjoyed. No complaints from anyone in my party. There's a reason why they have been in business for so many years. If you are around the area be sure to pay them a visit. Also to mention they have a fully stock bar and a very good wine list.

LOVED this place. First time I had been in Dyker Heights and first time at Chadwick's. It's old school and they clearly have LOTS of regulars but it's not old-fashioned. Staff is terrific, food was wonderful, and the vibe is fantastic. They also make a fantastic Perfect Manhattan. We ordered jumbo shrimp cocktails, the burrata with oven roasted tomatoes and arugula, the ravioli special (with butternut squash), the grouper, one of the steaks with a side of broccoli rabe. It was fantastic. Because of the location and not having a car, I doubt I will be back very often BUT I 100% would if I could.

Wonderful ambiance and comfortable seating. Burger's a tad salty, but the steak? Absolutely scrumptious and juicy!

This place is amazing!!! The staff, the owners, the food and everything else that you experience here is in such a friendly way!! Eat at the bar or make a reservation . I’ve been here twice this week and I leave happy Everytime. Get the steak or try the large shrimp appetizer . The delicious sauce thats comes with your bread or just come in for the amazing dessert. I love the brownie one! Everytime I come I try something new. It’s so warm and cozy decorated for the holidays.

Rib eye was pefectly cook but 4 some reason it was cold thats why U gave it 3 stars Branzino was great...nicely cook , savory cauliflower mash.. Spinash too much garlic couldnt eat it. Please take note management We had a lemon drop martini but it was not made with real squeze lemons..dissapointing...specially if paying top dollars for a martini .. Calamaries were fresh ..did not know what is the green sauce So three stars...

This is one of the best restaurants. There is not 1 person there who is no very attentive. I've had the waitress Erica twice and she is the most amazing waitress I've ever had. I was so glad to be sitting at her station tonight. I will definitely return there and I will tell my friends and family to go there!!! Thank you Erica and Chadwicks!!

Never had a bad meal and the service is always on point. Highly recommend. They usually have all types of special dishes that do not disappoint.

After a long period away we returned to Chadwick's with friends for dinner. I am glad to report that Chadwick's continues its long record of beautifully prepared and presented food, excellent service (thank you Danielle for taking good care of us) in an upscale, but approachable, environment. I enjoyed my braised beef spring rolls, but the star of my dinner was the rack of lamb - perfectly medium-rare, as requested, juicy and delicious without the need of added sauces. Fellow diners enjoyed the perfectly prepared beef Wellington special and a delicious steak. Desert included a simple rice pudding served in an edible tuille bowl and moist, moderately sweet bread pudding with a vanilla sauce. Chadwick's never disappoints. It consistently delivers excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I visited this steakhouse in December for a birthday celebration. The service was good--nothing extraordinary, but in line with what one would expect from a traditional steakhouse. We ordered the porterhouse for two, requesting it medium-rare. Unfortunately, it arrived more well-done than expected and was not served hot, but rather at room temperature. Given that this is their most expensive steak, I anticipated it being sizzling and served at the ideal temperature. The highlight of the meal was the linguine with clam sauce, which had great flavor, though it leaned on the salty side. However, when we requested it to go, it somehow didn't make it into our bag, which was disappointing. The wine list was decent, and while dessert was fine, it wasn't particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was average, with some room for improvement, particularly in steak preparation and attention to detail with takeout requests.

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary by having dinner at Chadwick's. I've find Chadwick's to be very romantic and the ambiance. The waiter who took care of us was excellent and knowledgeable. He answered our questions and we were able to choose our meal and desserts. The food was amazing and mouth watering to the last bite!

Excellent place. Family and I had dinner last night to celebrate my turning 60. I live a sheltered life. Lived in Bay Ridge my whole life and have never been to Chadwick's. The waiters were friendly and helpful. Fancy vibes. Picture I attached is the 20 oz T Bone. Don't judge. I don't photograph for GQ. Friends recommended I try Chadwick's for steak and avoid Milones Chophouse aka Embers. I look forward to returning.

I put two stars because I had reserved a specific table, and they agreed to it. However, when I arrived with my wife, the table was occupied, and they gave us a spot near the entrance, which I didn't like. If it's not feasible, just say no--don't lie. The food was good, but the service was not.

I came in for a dinner hosted by a law firm promoting their Estate planning services. The waiters for the event were amazing and attentive considering that the catered event was a large group. We had a bruschetta appetizer served family style. It was delicious and fun to eat. The light and crisp bread with the ripe seasoned tomatoes and cheese was simple yet satisfying. The second plate was a deceptively simple penne pasta with a wonderfully flavorful sauce. We had a choice of salmon, pork chop or chicken franchise. I ordered the salmon and it was so good I forgot to take a picture before devouring it. The salmon was cooked perfectly, moist, tender and fresh! There was even cheesecake for dessert. Chadwick's did a great job serving as a venue for the event with their top-notch service and excellent food!

Server was ok, wasn't the friendliest but the manager who stopped by was great and it really is all about the food which was OUTSTANDING. We got the filet mignon and the pork chop and I will never go anywhere else for a pork chop again! The place is beautiful and everything is clean and delicious. We will defintely be back!

Super food and service. We always go with our little son and never disappoints! The restaurant has a very Italian vibe and the service is type of old school but they do a really good job. We walked in without a reservation and they seated us within 5 min. Big thanks to the whole team!

Celebrated our 7th anniversary here after it being highly recommended. The food was very good and tasted fresh. Service was good as well. Clearly a popular spot to celebrate in the neighborhood ad there were a couple parties happening at the same time. Would definitely come back to try some more of the seafood dishes

Our overall rating is a 3.5 stars Decor 3.0 stars. Nice, comfortable. You feel like you're at home, but a little outdated. Service 4.5 stars. Luis, our waiter, was nice and knowledgeable. The manager was friendly. Food 2.5 stars. We were disappointed. Men & Women bathrooms 2.0 stars. The bathrooms need remodeling. Chadwick's crab cakes appetizer($24) was good, above average. Char grilled octopus appetizer ($22). Undersized for the price compared to other restaurants. The dish was over salted, burnt, and the last two inches was inedible. Many of the chorizo accessory pieces were also burnt. 18 ounce New Zealand Wagyu steak for $70 (special for the day). Entree came with nicely crisp potatoes and sautéed spinach with caramelized onions. The steak was good, but did not warrant the "special of the day" moniker. Spinach and potatoes were okay.

Simply the best restaurant in Bay Ridge. Friendly attentive service. Quality, quality, quality food with attention to detail. Stephen, Jerry, Brian, Chef Tony... well done.

This place has always been solid. We came here to celebrate my brother's Birthday last week and it did not disappoint. They accommodated my Gluten preference and the food, all of it was absolutely flawless all of us enjoyed our meal!! In particular I have the grilled octopus and lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. The service was on point and attentive. I also love the spacing. I did not feel crammed in like a typical NY restaurant. This is a Brooklyn Must when visiting.

Late snack at Chadwick's! Great service. Always a nice time. I only had an appetizer and soup but it hit the spot.

Good food, great staff, but you can't enjoy your meal. Loud crowd that tend to bring their out of control children with them. Unbelievably loud there. Can't hold a conversation with your dinner date unless you want to shout at them in order to be heard over the din.

Had dinner tonight at Chadwick's. The owners Gerry and Steve are such wonderful guys. They always make us feel right at home. We had a few apps - the calamari, the spring rolls and the wontons. All were fantastic. For mains we had the Porter house and it was cooked to perfection. The duck was also fabulous. 10/10 ambiance and food for a cozy Brooklyn vibe.

An American fare Standard. First we encounter the Great Bar, where the drinks a great way to get that appetite going. Top shelf all the way, and some favorites on tap. And once seated the apps only leave you wanting more. Grilled octopus is tender and delicious as was the baked clams and calamari. The entrées are nothingshort ofphenomenal, whether you enjoy steaks, their world famous Chops or my personal favorite osso bucha, with polenta. While others really enjoyed the Branzinni and the special that night was Lamb shank. I truly love the food but it's the staff that puts them over the top. Anticipating your needs and service with a smile. I can't praise Chadwicks Restaurant enough they are another jewel in Brooklyn.

I love coming here! The food always exceeds expectations! I highly recommend the baked clams & Cesar salad. The prime rib is the best I ever had the filet is always tender! They always cook the steak exactly how you ask for it! It comes with sides as well which is a great addition! The dirty martinis have to be the best in bay ridge! Make sure you save room for desert because I have tried all of them and they are all delicious and fresh! The ice cream is always a good option as well! They have cool flavors! The service is always top of the line!

Loved this old-school Italian steakhouse. Ironically we didn't get any steak but this is the type of place where you're equally happy with the rigatoni and the Milanese. We went early on a Thursday and the place was filled with Bay Ridge neighbors, all of whom knew the people and the place. Nothing blew our minds - but everything was exactly as we wanted it. Really good.

Took my mom out for a late lunch/early dinner on Sunday. I really the Ossobuco that was on the menu, but they didn't have it. So, we ordered the shrimp cocktail and crabcake appetizers, and then shared the lamb entrée. it turned out to be the perfect amount of food for us. We had just enough room for a little bit of dessert. The restaurant is a classic, solid, neighborhood spot. The staff is very friendly yet professional. The atmosphere is classy casual. You really can't go wrong with this please

Quality of food, selections, service and ambiance - all FIVE STARS. It is hands down our favorite restaurant in The Ridge.

Great place, my sister called Chadwick's to make a reservation and Brian, our favorite waiter answered the phone. He recognized my sister's voice and called her by her name. I was surprised especially, we haven't been there in a while!!! We arrived and Brian took care of us. Brian seated us in a great area which was bright looking. This time, Brian was not our waiter because it appears that he was promoted to head waiter or maitre d'. The waiter, (didn't get his name) was awesome all the way through. The food was great. I had a pasta dish, my sister had a daily special pot roast and our friend had the same thing I had the same. It was the Rigatoni with sweet sausage sauce. For dessert I had peach melba with vanilla ice cream .

Food was fresh. Waiters were good fast n efficient. I have eaten there before it was nice. There were a lot of people there, during this terrible economic time it speaks for itself. Go enjoy once and awhile we all work hard. Wish I could afford to go more often

Great steaks, cream, spinach, wasn't exactly to my liking, but it wasn't bad. My wife had fish and it didn't lack any flavor at all. I just wish they had a better side sauce.

Spent thanksgiving home alone this year and Chadwick's came to the rescue for me. They had thanksgiving dinner take out available. It was absolutely delicious. Just like my family used to make and it brought back many fond memories. It was a "perfectly balanced" meal as everything on the plate complemented each other perfectly. I have had many thanksgiving meals in the past where one or several items stand out for not so delicious reasons...too strong sausage, Fruit or seasoning in the stuffing, sweet potatoes seasoned with marshmallows making them too sweet or green beans with onions that taste artificial. Turkey dry, gravy to oily, etc. This meal tasted very natural and just a perfect thanksgiving meal. You really can tell they have really great chefs!!! 5 star in my book! Thank you Chadwick's for making my thanksgiving great! Only wish you did delivery as would order from you much more often!!! Best restaurant in the neighborhood!

Food is excellent I remember coming to the restaurant when I was younger and loving the cheesesteak and fries. Service is excellent never has changed throughout the years. Atmosphere is amazing great for couples and singles alike.

Honestly, this rivals many nyc steak houses, i find some stuff better, super nice staff and manager, service is top notch, place is nice clean older place, the food is amazing, hands down the best steak house in brooklyn, all of theirs food is good, its also chef made food, you can taste it. dollar for dollar this is the place.

Service is amazing! the mussels, baked clams and maybe most things you'll order are amaze balls!! We came to celebrate a birthday and left overly satisfied and a must return for more request from almost everyone at the table. Only thing I wasn't a fan of where the potatoes but everything else was delicious. Can't wait to make it back

The man and I decided to go out for dinner to celebrate the global holiday (my Birthday ). Steak had been calling my name for weeks, and every trip on 3rd avenue, I pass Chadwick's. I heard great things about this place, so I thought: let's give it a ring-a-ding and squeeze in a reservation. We walk in, and there's a bar to pass by to get to the host podium. The bar is really nice; very "Cheers" atmosphere. Definitely need to stop in on a weeknight for a drink. We get seated by the host and greater by Randy; great guy. Very personable. Hands us our menus (medium in size; something for everyone, but not so big that the head chef would be unaccustomed to the entire menu) and walks us through the short list of specials. Randy scurries to get our drinks and put in our orders when a lovely unannounced gentleman (I'll call him 'heuvo') pop's some warm bread on the table, a small cup of red stuff and a couple small dishes. The man and I figured out that the red stuff was a tomato/roasted red pepper aioli to spread on the bread (too thick for dipping). It was yummy. Next, Heuvo dropped off a platter with a huge mound of butter-tender fried Calamari and crisp Zucchini strings, along with two small bowls of sauce. One bowl was the typical arribiata sauce that always comes with crispy fried Calamari. The other was a spicy tomatillo salsa verde. Wait... Salsa Verde? They paired ITALIAN Calamari with MEXICAN Tomatillo sauce?? Never has there been a more perfectly paired sauce with butter-tender fried Calamari... We didn't even TOUCH the arribiata. The steaks came out and they smelled like fresh summer barbeque. So yummy... The man and I asked for Medium-Rare, and that's exactly what we got; bright red (not purple, not gray) meat, perfectly seasoned and seared. The sides were very delicious but the man and I were so entranced with the steak, we barely ate our sides; we kept consuming the steak. We skipped dessert because we were THAT full. Five-star, EEEEAAAASSSSSY....

Came here with couple friends for Christmas dinner. Everything we ordered from appetizer to main course was really good and delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and very attentive. My steak is cooked to perfection just the way I like it, it was very flavorful. I would definitely coming back here again.

Consistency is key. I know every time I Go to Chadwick's, I'm going to have the best service the best experience & most importantly the food is always guaranteed to satisfy. The Crab cake to start with the double cut Berkshire pork chop with hot cherry peppers and any specials they make are phenomenal.

Everything, from the food, to the ambiance, to the service was exemplary at Chadwicks! We were greeted promptly upon arrival by the bartender and the owner whose smiles and genuine hospitality made us feel welcomed at their venue. We were seated in their 3rd Avenue facing dining room that encompassed beautiful brick walls and a lovely fireplace. Tables are all neatly set and ordained with a single candle to truly bring out the elegance of your dinner. Our waiter this evening was very attentive to our needs. Our water glasses never went below half capacity and our martinis were as "dirty" as requested! Our meals were exquisite! We ordered the pan-seared red snapper dinner special and the herb/panko-crusted salmon. Both meals were delicious and unique in their own ways. My partner and I could sense the amount of care and diligence placed in our dishes after just one bite! The salmon was perfectly tender and seasoned, complimented with a creamy beurre blanc sauce. From the looks of my partner's empty plate, I could tell that she truly enjoyed her red snapper. Great food, excellent and attentive service, and a beautiful dining room! look forward to returning to try some of their other specials and their popular duck entree we've heard so many good things about!

Our server was friendly and personable. Everything else? Horrible. My friend celebrated his birthday at Chadwick's given the convenient location and the accommodation of a large party. Some of us arrived early and we started at the bar with some happy hour drinks. After being seated, some of us ordered our own thing and some of us shared family style. The appetizers like the seafood tower and octopus was average at most, nothing too memorable.Then the entrees and sides hit the table, that was when everything went down. All of the meat, including the Porterhouse Steak and Lamb Chops were so bland and tasteless. The steak had no juicy beef taste to it at all. Salt couldn't revive it. My particular steak didn't come out the way I asked for it. And that's a huge issue in my books. I usually do not prefer my steak anything past medium rare. I made a mistake of telling the busser and he was so rude about it. The server asked us how everything was towards the end, and we told him how it was. He was disappointed to hear that we did not enjoy our meal and wished we told him earlier. I wasn't going to wait longer for different or new food. We spent a hefty amount of money here on wine, drinks, shots, food, desserts etc. and none of it was compensated for a terrible meal and overcooked rubber steak. It's not over yet, later on, I found out no one really loved their food either and it wasn't just me.

I hadn't been here for years. We ordered the porterhouse for two, medium. It arrived medium rare to rare. I tried to eat it and couldn't even chew it. It was also dry, there wasn't even any juice from the meat in the plate. My friend was able to eat it because she prefers rarer meat, I wasn't. I mentioned to the waiter and he said "that can't be helped. When a steak has a bone, it usually comes out on the rare side". ??? He offered to cook it more but by then I was so turned off by the tasteless dry steak, that I said not to bother. My friend took the leftovers home and said she would throw it in the grill. Afterwards we ordered Zambuca for each of us and one espresso. They never even comped the drinks! I will never go there again.

Came here for a low-key dinner last night and was super impressed with the outdoor setup. Some restaurants in Bay Ridge have thrown caution (and social distancing practices) to the wind, but not Chadwick's. Tables on the sidewalk were divided by plexiglass, and those towards the street were safely spaced out. Bravo, Chadwick's for keeping your diners safe! Service was impeccable as well. Now onto the eats... I read a review saying the food here is boring. Does a delicious crab cake placed on top of a gorgeous mango slaw and spicy wasabi cream sauce sound BORING? To me, it doesn't! It was so good I was practically licking the plate. We also had the fried calamari/fried zucchini which came with a traditional spicy red sauce AND second green sauce which I THINK is made with parsley or celery. I couldn't put my finger on it, but again, there I was enjoying every last bite. I ordered the salmon because I knew I wouldn't be able to finish a steak, and I'm happy I did. It was nicely crusted and had a delish beurre blanc sauce on the bottom. I see a theme with me falling in love with the sauces here. I also tried a bite of the steak which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Next time, I'll skip the apps just so I can dive into a steak (or Beef Wellington if that's back on the menu), AND finish strong with a dessert.

Chadwick's is a highly regarded neighborhood institution. They have a traditional menu with classic dishes, and the servers are really professional. The atmosphere depends on the time of day but we were there on a weekday evening and it was fairly empty, relaxed and dark. We ordered shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were massive and very nice quality. We had the Black Angus Bone in Rib Eye topped with fried onions and the Shell Steak both of which were perfectly cooked and seared. The side dishes of spinach and homes fries could not be ignored. They were freshly-done and well-seasoned.

Service here is top-notch and goes hand in hand with the consistent quality of the food. Great bar and the place has character. A Bay Ridge landmark. Have dinner with the guys or the family, have a party here, or go here on a date. Chadwick's can do it all.

The food looks amazing every time I walked Chadwick's when I cut through Bay Ridge. Ultimately, I had a mixed experience when I actually dined at the restaurant. I will start with the positives. The interior is very pretty. However, it was outdoor dining when I ate there due to Covid. They did a great job bringing that ambience for their outdoor seating. The food was hit or miss for me. First, we stayed with the fried calamari and zucchini as an appetizer. The zucchini and the accompanying sauces were great. On the other hand, the calamari was just ok. I have definitely had better. The complimentary bread was fresh and very good. In terms of the entree, I had the black angus rib steak. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered it medium rare but the meat was just too tough as dry for my liking. A great medium rare is very chewy. However, the sides were great, whipped potatoes, sautéed broccoli rabe, and crispy onions. In particular, the whipped [mashed] potatoes were great. They were so fluffy and smooth. I ate all of my sides. Nevertheless, it is a steakhouse so I weighted my experience on the steak.

The black angus blackened Rib steak might be the best steak I've eaten in my adult life. The taste was incredible. I'm baffled by the fact that this restaurant is not featured on a Food network somewhere. I haven't checked thoroughly for reviews online for Chadwick's but I will categorize this place as a hidden gem in the heart of Brooklyn. The restaurant was playing light Christmas carols which made the ambience very homey and comfortable. Food quality: A+ Service: A+ Ambience inside the venue: A+ Will return here with my family ASAP!

One can spend decades exploring Manhattan's restaurant world with no attachments to an unforgiving world of business and posh establishments! This reviewer certainly did so before moving to BayRidge, Brooklyn five years ago. In a secular sense, this Steakhouse doesn't impress for those first moving to the area. The interior is dated although well kept. The dedicated staff are as expected for those in the industry for 30+ years and may feel gruff and unwelcoming at first. The mounds of mashed potatoes and laughter from the Irish-Italian community seems cliche. I could go on, but you get the idea. But, visit this staple a couple of times, and you'll see its infectious, brilliance on the community to whom it caters- an influence wider-reaching than the scope of its walls. The food is excellent. The staff warms up to you quickly , and everything you had explored before in your culinary journeys wash away while eating those buttery rich potatoes and charred Steaks, leaving only one thought- damn, I'm home!
