Chai Guys Bakehouse - Review - Notting Hill - London - The Infatuation

"If you’re a fan of chai, then this Notting Hill bakery and cafe will get you excited. The small shop is filled with a sweet cardamom scent from the caramel-toned tea being poured throughout the day. Exciting-looking pastries sit on the counter, but not for long. The savoury samosa croissant and aubergine danish are our favourite things here. Although the sweet pastries like a tasty, perfectly piped, cream-topped tiramisu bun is like the Italian dessert in pastry form. There’s a bunch of seating inside, so this is a great spot if you’re looking for somewhere for a chill catch-up and a cup of spiced chai on Portobello Road." - Rianne Shlebak

ChaiGuy’s Bakehouse is hands down one of the best bakehouses I’ve ever been to. We went around midday, and from the moment we stepped in, everything was just perfect, the vibe, the atmosphere, the smell of freshly baked pastries, it all felt so warm and inviting. The pastries were out of this world! They do both savoury and sweet, and honestly, the variety is incredible. Every bite was just delightful, beautifully made, fresh, and full of flavour. My friends and I shared a bunch of different pastries so we could try as much as possible, and we loved every single one. The chai deserves a special mention and it’s amazing! Truly authentic and full of rich, comforting spice. Easily one of the best I’ve had in London. Yes, there’s usually a queue, but it’s 100% worth the wait. It’s popular for a reason! A huge thank you to Amina, she was so lovely, welcoming, and gave us fantastic recommendations. Everything she suggested was spot-on. We even took a few pastries home because we just couldn’t get enough. Everything about this place -the food, the service, the ambiance was simply top-notch. If you’re in London, ChaiGuy’s Bakehouse in Notting Hill is an absolute must-visit. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back for more!😍😍😍

The moment you step in, it’s like being transported to India. The aroma is just magical, the chai is delicious and the pastries are just something else. Such distinctive pastries- the flavour combinations are super creative and work incredibly well, a perfect blend of spices and classic bakery favourites. The savoury were my fav. Aubergine and cheese pastry and the mushroom one just amazing! Cardamom chocolate bun also deserves a mention.

From the minute you step inside, the smell of cardamom greets you like a warm hug. Everything was top notch! Loved the karak chai, baked goods, and friendly service. We especially enjoyed the cardamom bun and pumpkin pecan praline weekend special. Still dreaming about it to be honest!

The moment you enter and the smell of Chai Tea was amazing. Took some pastry which was also great and Kadak tea & coffee... Both nicely brewed. Excellent service. Sorry. That should have read 5 stars.

One of the BEST Chai's I've had in London. Simple but incredibly delicious - I got the masala chai - the flavours were warm and comforting, perfect for a cool day. The way it was served to me was spectacular too, with a high, elegant pour to keep it a little frothy for that perfect texture. The service was quick, friendly and very welcoming. Thank you for this warm hug in a cup!

Coming here was pure happenstance. Was just walking down the road and could smell the heavenly scent of chai which lead me straight to this door. So delicious, I thought I was dreaming.

Really delicious fusion pastries that I always come back for- especially the samosa pastry and the spicy tomato aubergine one. Their drinks are solid, though not exceptional (I’d be just as happy with a chai from Chaiwala). The interior is cute and cozy, but it gets pretty busy, so seating isn’t always guaranteed. If it’s packed, Holland Park (about a 15-minute walk away) makes a nice spot to enjoy your takeaway.

The chai was amazing, which is not a surprise ofcourse, but I definitely recommend! The samosa croissant was the best combination of sweet, savory and flaky. Staff were really lovely and helpful, it’s also fun that you can see the kitchen. They also sell the chai to make at home
