The chicken enchiladas taste water down enchilada sauce the tortilla taste frozen. The salsa had hair in it bt they said it's from cilantro SMH. The fish was not seasoned good. And they was poking holes in a to-go soup lid with memo holder with spike. And woke up next with food poisoning

This doesn’t taste like authentic Mexican food. I had a caldo de pescado y camaron my brother had a wet burrito it was better then mine still not authentic at least it didn’t taste authentic.

We were looking for good authentic Mexican food near by my neice home and stubbled upon the Margarita! The food was so amazing and the service was AMAZING! Marcel was such a great hostess! He was so attentive and caring. Being an African American family, we were treated with respect. We felt welcomed! The food didn’t make you feel overly full or sluggish. The portions were just right and one of the best margaritas!! Great EXPERIENCE overall! We’ll be back for sure!

How I regret not taking more pictures of this hidden Gem. We were lucky to come at a good time and the owner took care of us. He was so nice and a pleasure I talk to. We tried so much food, but to be honest it was so good, that I forgot to take pictures. The place was small but well put together and was very clean. I honestly can’t wait to come back. Keep on eating and stay safe.

Came to LA from Glenwood Springs, CO and were lucky enough to dine at Chales. The Owner himself was helping to serve and host my friend and I, which let me know how proud they are of their work. And they should be! Delicious tasting, yummy presentation and perfectly curated decors made this spot a hit! We will be back. Gracias!

Delicious! I was just about hangry lol Thankfully the service was quick, and the food was delicious! Clean, nice staff. Parking can be challenging at times in this area, but not too bad. They don't bring chips and salsa. However, I did see a review saying you need to ask. It seemed weird to me, I'd rather they offer. We had a guava margarita and pina colada, they were good. We had the steak and shrimp, side of beans, rice, and side salad with homemade corn tortillas, so good. And green chili enchiladas and rice.

We came here from out of town and had a great experience. Wonderful service, margaritas, and food. Highly recommend. Salsa wasn’t what we were used to being from the Midwest but was good.

Absolutely fantastic service!! And food!! Off the charts! Definitely a hidden gem of LA. I think they remodeled the place. They have a very wide selection of food and drinks. They have outdoor seating as well. The ambiance is very classy yet authentic. We got the burrito panzon asada wet and pastor quesadilla. They were so flavorful and muy rico! The cheese was gooey and melted. The meat was really tender and well seasoned. The salsa wasn't too spicy. Their food is very traditional with hints of modern twists. It definitely hits home. The owner was a chef at the restaurant Houston's Steakhouse in Pasadena! It's a high end steak house that serves fresh steaks. No wonder the food at Margaritas was so good. Highly recommend this place. A+ from me.

Searching for Latin food. This came up decided to go for it. It was quite different the skinny margarita was interesting tasted a little like what gasoline smells like, gentleman said he used a very high quality mezcal; 2nd margarita was better it had ginger beer in it.. The chicken mole enchiladas were ok, had a hint of sweetness to them... the rice was cooked perfectly & had a good taste the refried beans which I do not typically eat but I always at least taste them were not as heavy in grease/lard flavor so they were ok. The salsa served with tortilla chips was tasty. Although, I left feeling SUPER BLOATED, so it was a very average experience. The service was Good.

First off the food was pretty good I got the shrimp tacos and my mom got the taquitos My tacos were nice and filling and the flavors were.l solid. The shrimp was the mini shrimp so it wasn't nice and grilled or even crispy like I was hoping but it was still flavorful. The taquitos were cooked perfectly with a perfect amount of crisp and tender meet. The portion sizes were really good too. One thing that was uncommon was that refills weren't free, which sucks because it seems like businesses are just getting every nickel they can, but it is what it is The chips and guacamole was ok. The chips were great but the guacamole lacked flavor. Seemed like it was made fresh with some tomatoes but nothing else. So it tasted a little bland. But the hot sauce that comes with the chips was verrrry good Aside from that, the service was prompt and very respectful. Our waitress checked in on us frequently and made sure that we were all ok I'd definitely go back to try some other things. And I definitely recommend this spot for those who are looking for decent tacos and beers and shit They have inside seating, outside seating and a bar area too. I'm actually curious how busy this place gets during a soccer game or something because it looks like it could really be a vibe.

First of all no authenticity. Also they were limited on the beverage options. My coworker ordered grilled fish fillet and it had no flavor whatsoever. A lot of the items on the menu weren't available. I'm giving it a one star because the wet green chilli burrito has good flavor. It was my first time there and I won't be back!

We didn't have any food here but we had a few drinks. We had the mango margarita, mamacita drink and Hibiscus one. All of them were delicious! The service was amazing, ambiance was chill. We will definitely try this again but will order food next time.

We got the Enchiladas de Pollo & H Queso En Mole and the Tacos Dorados de Pollo. This mole is the most delicious mole I've ever tried! I finished my entire plate, the customer service is amazing, the music is on point (traditional mexican music),We also got a Pupusa Revuelta it was amazing! The entire menu is So delicious!We will go back! thank you! Such a good place to eat a meal!

Was in the area yesterday heading to a friends house but wanted a quick bite prior and stumbled upon this authentic mom and pop restaurant. The service is extremely friendly, the quality of the food is fantastic, and prices are very, very affordable. I ordered the carne asada nachos with a jamaica. Several others on the table ordered the asada and al pastor tacos. The portion of my nachos was great and was filled with all the necessary fillings. My friends were very satisfied with their tacos. With COVID-19 effecting many small businesses we were more than thrilled to be able to contribute to one which was not only open but available for dining within. I highly recommend for those within the area. P.S. the friendly waiter stated that they are planning to extend their menu to include liquor in the near future.

Terrible service! The manager accused us of leaving the bill, after we canceled our order after 2 minutes of putting it in. We obliged to pay and still had to wait for our items that he alleged were being freshly made. not the case. Furniture and interiors were old. Not good ambiance at all. I would not recommend visiting this establishment.

To expensive for a "ok" restaurant they charge for chips with salsa, and when you ask for the bill , comes with extra fees and they charge like 20% tip direct to the total bill , be carefull especially if you go with more than 4 people a bill from 150 went to more than 200 ridiculous !!

This place is a hidden gem !!! My wife and I were out walking one day and had a craving for margarita's one day and we just happened to walk by this place decided to stop. I'll make a long story short by saying after 6 months we live on the other side of town and we still make sure once a week to get margaritas and one of their top ten food choices. Tried this Mexican spot for the first time today and left surprised at how amazing all the staff is and how involved the manager/owner was with the customers. Ordered some camarones a la diabla (mild) and was only able to eat 3 or 4 because they were spicier than I expected, when our server notified that I only ate a couple of the shrimp she asked how I had liked it and I mentioned to her that it was a bit spicier than I expected and she told me why hadn't I mentioned it to her so she could have it replaced for me, I told her that it was okay. As we were heading out the manager/owner stopped us and offered me a refund due to me not enjoying the food and then continued to apologize for it. I've rarely experienced any kind of treatment and care like this at a restaurant. But I would 100% come back for this amazing service! Thank you

So so good!! I ordered the shrimp cocktail and a bean & cheese pupusa, my husband ordered a wet chorizo burrito. We both had a margarita as well. Cozy, clean, delicious - and good prices! Highly recommend, we'll be back ASAP!

First time trying this hidden Gem. Everything was amazing I tried 3 margaritas la chica fresa la jefa and the mango they were all amazing.5 stars on drinks food we tried the camarones empanizados they had a tartar sauce and they were amazing we also tried the aguachirles I requested to be less spicy oh boy I devoured them I was amaze by how good they tasted them. My boyfriend had the shrimp cocktail and a mojarra frita they both were really good. Everything was amazing Darlyn customer service was very good.Do yourself a favor and try this place is amazing I heard they have karaoke every Thursday and they have a special event every other Friday.they also have a happy hour from 3-7 give them a try you won't be disappointed

Amazing food with even better service. Felt super welcomed and attended to by this family owned and operated establishment. 5 of us and we all got different margaritias and food dishes and they were all amazing. The interior was open and tables distanced. They have the adjoining business next door which has a full bar and additional seating. I would definitely recommend this place.

Food was delicious, Mexican places also had pupusas they were really good honestly good as an actual pupuseria. The white rice and beans were really good in flavor. I also got the chili relleno and one of the best chili rellenos I've had, second to my own lol didn't get to take a picture of my food, I was to hungry but here are the drinks. They are also delicious the mango Margarita and the Jefe margarita.

The food was delicious! My partner and I had the platanitos, empanadas, and the chicken torta, everything had a wonderful flavor and the service was amazing. The restaurant itself is cozy and the perfect place to have a peaceful lunch. I will definitely be going back :)

Clearly this place is overpriced Especially with their poor customer service I should have learned my lesson from the 3 tines I've been there always empty They got a really nice bar area but I've bever sat at their bar thank Goodness because that crazy brown concoction of their version of a Mi chelada beer was the worst !!!!!! They need to specify on their drink menu That they make it their way and not the 99.9% way every other establishment I've been to makes it With clamato or v8 etc Not some random Brown bar mix of their own !!!! Ewwwwww!!!

I just stopped in this place without knowing anything about it. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was some of the best food I ever had! The place has a nice, clean vibe and the servers were friendly and welcoming. Prices are good too! I highly recommend!

5 stars I feel like this place is underrated it's a very humble and at home feel if that makes sense haha very good food and they're very respectful and courteous I would recommend this place to anyone

I ordered a huarache and it was more like a salad, it looked like they just threw some prepackaged salad on there and called it a day. There was barely any meat and it was dry. My siblings ordered the nachos, and the same thing more lettuce and tomatoes than meat and chips. 10/10 would not recommend. And they add a tip to the check its not optional. like what if I didn't want to tip you.

I love this place. They make the best margaritas ever! I've tried every margarita and every one is yummy especially the guava and tamarind. I can't go anywhere else for margaritas. And their food is so delicious. Very clean and fresh. Super cute restaurant with a full bar and great music. Come here for a night out, brunch, dates or family dinners you won't be disappointed.

I love the food at this place it's delicious however today 4/2/22 around 10 am I had a horrible experience the server was very rude refused to allow us to sit on the tab on the corner. she eats us yo sit on the table in the middle of the restaurant in front of the open doors and it was cold since the doors were open . She was disrespectful telling us that she can not close the door and if we seat on the table we wanted we have to move if a party of 5 comes in. What? I mean why the rudeness the over power I left as she was demanding and rude I try to reason why the middle table did not work for me but she clearly show us did not wanted us soo sad as I said the four is great

Eventhough there were COVID restrictions the owner i beleive his name is Chef Marco and his waiters and waitresses did a beautiful job. The food was aahhhmazing. Loved the cozy feel and quick service. Thank you guys!!

Dope spot! Good service, bomb food and great vibe! We had a Pupusa, Tacos de Camaron, Taco de Lengua, Tlayuda, Asada plate, Tostada de Ceviche and a Mojarra. Everyone at the table was satisfied with their dish :) We sat in their dining section, but the bar area looked dope too! It has some nice custom portraits of famous Mexican artists. Thumbs up for the art and decor at this place!

Wow!! This place blew me away!!! We got the Diablo shrimp and the mole chicken enchiladas. The waiter also gave us some fresh pico de gallo which was AMAZING. The chips were a little stale but the handmade tortillas made up for it. The Diablo shrimp was spicy, the tomato base added flavor. I loveeed the mole. It was slightly sweet like expected with a red mole, but savory where it matters. I added cheese to the chicken enchilada and I was highly satisfied. The rice is pretty mellow, I would have liked something a little more fresh as the mole was very heavy. But the beans that were served were nicely seasoned, good compliment to the rice. The general look of the restaurant pays homage to a classic Mexican restaurant. Slightly concerning: the green salsa we were served was definitely bad, so ask for the pico de gallo. Overall, best mole I've had in LA yet.

Amazing Caldo De Res !!! A friend got food for me here and I've been trying to come back ever since! Very cute and quaint location at the heart of Pico Union.

Quesadillas and burritos are great. Very reasonable priced. They always have items ready to pick up when ordered for delivery. Need to try other items, but so far, a very excellent value!

So, I ordered delivery and there was a mistake....I ordered a wet burrito and it came dry...no biggie, so I called restaurant...and the absolute nicest man answered the phone, as genuine and apologetic as humanly possible. He explained he couldn't help me but to call Grub Hub directly. The food was tasty and great. The carne asada burrito was hot and well made. My husband got the Caldo de Pollo, he said it was great and the chips and Guac...were great!! I will definitely order again. I appreciate a restaurant that doesn't blame a customer for a wrong order. Thank you Margarita's, I will be ordering again next week!!! You have my business forever.

ordered green enchiladas to go today, very bad customer service and on top of that when I received my to go order the green salsa was spilled all out of the container and through out the to go bag. Rice was very dry. Will not be coming again.

This place is so good! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that my friend's Chile relleno was not great. But I had shrimp enchiladas and they were perfect. My husband had a burrito which he said was amazing. We also ordered hibiscus margaritas- great!! The chef and owner is as pleasant as he is really talented.

This place is a joke.I used to be a loyal client, recommending this place to everyone I knew and I am a huge believer in second chances, perhaps even 3, but its already 4 too many. I'd be concerened for the people who still consume here.

Delicious food for around $7 per entre. made-to order tortillas too hard to resist if you are carb-watching. Love the chuleta. Family-style restaurant. Decor beautiful and ornate. Clean and inviting. If you want a nice mom-and-pop Mexican food place - This is it. Rare, cold day in L.A. last night, so went to see if they had albondigas- yes, it was the one of the specials! 3 huge delicious meatballs and the best broth I have ever had. Opened the container to take a pic for Yelp - then promptly devoured it. I'll try to remember to take a pic next time. They deliver. Put your best spanish -speaking skills to work when you call.

Service was great, fast, and really good. It was blazing hot and the meat was very high quality. I got lengua and chorizo and they were so tender and flavorful. Very good price especially for the quality I would expect this to be more expensive to be honest. Loved it and I will be coming back for sure!
