I play pool league at Champs and love it! It's so well liked by pool players there is actually a wait list for teams to play here! Great bar for sports, karaoke on the weekend, fairly cheap drinks- convenient for Burbank and NoHo locals, easy street parking... so happy to have Champs as a neighborhood bar!

We love this rockin place! Great all sports bar with pool tables and space to hang out with friends 😁 Everyone of the staff is a joy to talk to and provides top notch service ! Pup friendly and great food (philly cheese steak, fish n chips, tuna melt and the all day breakfast burrito are my favorites)!!

Stopped in here to kill some time. Seems like a cool dive bar. Everyone was friendly service was great. The place was busy for a Wednesday.

Great local sports bar. Plenty of tables and plenty of TV's to watch a game. The staff will change the channel to the game you want to watch. There are 2 pool tables, darts and a jukebox. The Buffalo cauliflower was so good. Club sandwich was OK.

My husband and I are doing market research for a bar we’re planning to open. We learned about Champs on Bar Rescue. It’s one of the few places that is still open to this day, so we had to check it out for ourselves. We walked in and no one really acknowledged, or greeted us for the first 10 minutes. We both used the restroom which could have done with some cosmetic upkeep. The bartender was extremely friendly to my husband (we failed to catch his name) and our server Amanda was super nice and helpful once we got her attention. Can’t really blame her, the place was pretty full and she was the only server on the floor. The food was outstanding! We had the Champs burger with regular fries, the Western burger with sidewinders, and ballpark nachos. Our only regret was getting chili on the ballpark nachos, but that was our choice. With everything we ate and the drinks we shared, our tummies ended up being a little angry about that chili (remember Grandma’s Boy?). We had a well vodka soda with lemon, an old fashioned, 2 Lebron Jamesons, and a Bee a Gentleman. All were good, the Lebron was our favorite (hence 2). We shared control of the jukebox (TouchTunes) with some other patrons who liked the same music we do, so when we heard a bunch of Judas Priest and Tenacious D come on, we were stoked. With 2 full dinners and 5 drinks our total was just over $100. More than fair and absolutely worth every penny. It’s clear why Champs is still open. Not sure if it’s the same owner who opened it back in 87 but I believe it has lasting power left in it. Recommendations for Champs: Keep an eye out for new faces in the bar. Even just a “hi, I’ll be right with you” goes a long way. Repair/replace the women’s bathroom door.

Delicious food ice cold beer friendly staff ate on the patio birds were chirping the pear blossoms or cherry blossom trees were full of flowers outside there was a nice breeze going it was a perfect experience when I needed to kill an hour or 2 waiting on my car to be serviced I will definitely be coming back

We have stopped there several times for food, drinks and to watch games after visiting Universal Hollywood. Very friendly and attentive service. Even once, when I was dieting, they accommodated me by bringing me two turkey burger patties.

Met some friends there for late night karaoke, so no food. classic sports bar, friendly staff, I will be going back soon. 🤙🏼🥳

Great Sport Bar with some good food and great service. The overall vibe here is fun. The patrons and the staff both make this place awesome. There are a plethora of TV's, a couple pool tables, darts and the classic golf bar game. I always get myself some "Sidewinder Fries" and they are a perfect little snack when watching a game or hanging with some friends. Shout out to the regulars! I will be returning!!! I want to like it more, but the service is rough! I waited 30 minutes for anyone to come to my table and rarely did anyone come back. I wanted food, but ultimately went somewhere else because no one ever came for my order.

Watch the Dodgers win the World Series here so this is officially a good luck bar. highly recommend good drinks. Great service and food is pretty good as well.

I had a great time here this Saturday, we came for UFC, and i would recommend this spot. Plenty of seats ,tv's, pool tables, and 1 dart board. I really liked at the end of the night different Dj's were spinning for about 25m each and the music was really nice. The only reason i gave it 4 was due to the food. I didn't really enjoy the philly cheese. I had no flavor to it, but the drinks and everything else here were nice!

Champs is exactly what it sets out to be - a great & reliable, no-frills neighborhood sports bar. I've lived in this neighborhood for about 1.5 years and have gone to Champs a handful of times. The food has always hit the spot. I love the burgers the most, and their fries are particularly yummy. We've also come on a Sunday (Football), and they do have a brunch-y type menu, including mimosas & bloody Mary's. I had the breakfast burrito which was pretty solid, and my husband had the breakfast sandwich. I thought the sandwich was fantastic. Also their triple deck clubs are no joke - they are gigantic and amazing. They have a good selection of beer. Service is always very friendly. They take your orders at your table and check up on you several times in the meal.

Great atmosphere, fast service friendly staff and last but not least dog friendly. Plenty or street free parking. Happy hour till 7pm Did I mention dog friendly. Clean, smoking area has a bench.

The bartenders are always great ! I wish the TV setups were easier to watch as they are mounted high ! Unfortunately they don't show hockey games as least I have never seen one there ! Tony the cook is great very nice and does a great job wish they would do like a daily or weekly food item and I like to go for lunch and the same food gets old. A great place to hang out clientele is usually nice and friendly..

Twas a cold and rainy night that I stumbled into what I would refer to as a dive bar. I am not usually one to complain, let alone so cynically but this is one of those rare moments where I'll be exceptionally such. Picture if you will, a room so cramped and music so loud you cannot hope to hear yourself think, let alone order a drink. Even when you get that drink, it's very poorly mixed and the food to go with it is some how even more of a disappointment with the lukewarm cheese served opposite of a pretzel. You may ask yourself, why not rate it one star? Because at least the bartenders are nice and that's something we can all use on a Saturday night bar crawl. Cheers.

My old review doesn't reflect the current owners and atmosphere at Champs. So time for an update. The food is Solid, the staff is friendly and it's an inviting space for sports fans of all teams.

Great neighborhood sports bar tried their cheeseburger burger tasted like a dry hockey puck. Won't be back for the food that's for sure

Iv been here a few times, very had a bad time. Some of the waitresses are very good some are just ok, but never bad:)- the first two times I only had Diet Coke, I don't drink alcohol. Today I ordered a sandwich and it was very yummy. The place is alway busy when I'm there cause it's on Sundays during football:). This place was on Bar Rescue so the inside is fun. Go try it for yourself people!

Owner makes the best burger as requested medium-rare. Fun and games, dice, darts, pool and good company!

Champs has been around for quite awhile, and I just re-found it. Service and food is as expected. While atmosphere is classic pool-shootin' music lovin' fries-ketchupin' greatness. Loud at times, as it should be late in Burbank. Love this classic establishment.

My father has been a regular here for years, and when I visited recently, he suggested we have lunch here. We both ordered cheeseburgers, and I wasn't expecting much. I'm usually a fan of good bar food, but this cheeseburger exceeded all expectations! The toppings were incredibly fresh, and the house sauce was delicious. It's now a must-visit spot every time I'm in town.

Great atmosphere, I love the staff. Cocktails are good, well priced. Will definitely be back... Love the pool tables, they are well maintained.

Moved into the neighborhood a few months ago, and started coming here regularly. The food is good, the service is solid, and the crowd has been nice. There are some poor reviews on Yelp of this place, but they look like they all were from before a change of ownership or management a little more than a year ago from what we heard, which makes sense. I haven't had any bad experiences here, and my wife and I come every few weeks to watch a game and have some dinner. The people who took it over did a solid job. We're fans.

Love this place. Bartender Correen is awesome and friendly. The regulars and daytime clientele are a riot. I had the grilled blackened chicken sandwich, which was amazing, with fries. The fries are those kind of breaded, delicious ones. Place has a laid back, neighborhood sports bar vibe with pool tables, TVs, booths and high tops in addition to the bar.

We came to Champs pretty early on a Saturday night with high hopes. The vibes we good, the customers were nice. The second it got busy, the two bartenders that were working, only paid attention to regulars. We tried for 30 minutes to close out and not a single person acknowledged us. And the cocky attitude of the bartenders without any ounce of sincerity, was what made us decide We will not be back.

Was my first time at Champs a couple days ago. Parking was easy. Food was great. Service was great. So many TV's, so you'll always be able to see the game no matter where you sit. There is a proper Pool room in the back with two tables. The whole atmosphere and set up of the place is just really accommodating. Overall, it's an A+ sports bar that runs like a well oiled machine and I'll be coming back.

Well, it's perfectly what you would expect from a sports pub on Burbank BLVD. It's large place, so no issue finding a place to enjoy your drink, whether at the bar or the pool tables. Parking wasn't an issue.

Lots of locals at this solid sports bar, plenty of seating, good tap beer selection, attentive service, 2 pool tables, several TV screens for game-watching, good pub food.

This place is supposed to be a sports bar and advertises being for March Madness, but came in for the UConn v Illinois game at 3:30 and they didn't have any of the audio of the game playing instead having the juke box going on. Just not acceptable and not what a place billing itself as a sports bar should be doing when one major sporting event is going on during this hour. I left and went to General Admission on Cahuenga instead. If you're serious about watching sports, until Champs management gets its act together, this isn't the sports bar for serious fans.

We just moved to the area and came in to watch the soccer game and had the best time here! Cade was the bartender and took such great care of us even though it was super packed in there. Mateo did as well, they were both just super cool and so fun to talk to through out the game! We WILL come back just to see them. Thank you guys for being so cool!!

The food was ok but under cooked. I got sick post eating the Philly cheesesteak. The overall portions were solid but my friend's chicken tenders were also undercooked. Service was good; it was a super busy day with multiple football games going. Ambiance, was rough, the regulars definitely didn't make us feel welcome. We were leaving and before we could leave someone came and put drinks on our table. Plus there were some creepers that made my gf and her friends uncomfortable

Love champs. Great set up to watch multiple games. I aways enjoy their wings, and great deal on pitchers.

Reasonably priced drinks, sports TVs galore, nice staff (Amanda is our fave!), and THE best carne asada tacos!!!!!!!!

I love this bar! The minute you walk in you are greeted with the best customer service! Also the ambiance and music in here is on point! The bartender kaden was so friendly and made really good drinks for my friends and I. I highly recommend coming in when he works! He really made us feel right at home! If your looking for a place to get a quick drink or to even hang out for a few hours and play some pool I would come here! Thanks Champs! Most definitely will be coming back!

Great for sports, lots of regulars gathered for Dodger and football games. Full Bar and food. Plenty of seating inside and out. Pool Tables. Food was ok, typical bar appetizers and meals. Service was great- friendly and attentive wait staff.

NOPE!! so, i used to come here a lot, many years ago (before the Bar upgrade tv show). it was a really fun place, back then. the staff were super friendly, and the food was good, and the sports on tv was great, as well. they'd decorate, for Nascar, and Kings games. it was fun! i've been a couple times, over the last several years, but it's been a minute. recently, i reached out to a friend, to see if he wanted to get some drinks. he told me he was already at Champs, with another friend. 30 minutes later, i was there. there were about 8 people in the place, including a bartender (Amber), and a cook, in the back. my friends had seats at the bar. i sat with them. the bartender kind of looked my way, and then past me, to a couple of guys she had already recently gotten drinks for (they were full). really aloof, acting... i looked at my friends, and asked what is up with this girl? i even asked them (sitting right next to me) if they could get me a drink?! i was there for probably 5 minutes before she finally walked the 4 feet over to me, and asked for my order. from there, it was all downhill. i had to tell her at one point, that i was trying to spend my money there, and if she got me a drink, she'd get it! so, i left. very disappointed. flash forward to about 3 weeks later. again, i reached out to my friend, and he told me he was at Champs. i responded with, "oh great, my favorite bartender, again!" i went, anyway. there was a group of 4 of my friends there, so i would deal with the service. this time, my friends were at a table, and already had drinks. it was a little more crowded. i went to the bar, to order a drink. everyone at the bar had drinks. i walked up directly to the bartender (same horrible bartender, Amber). she was facing the cash register, which is away from the bar patrons. she did her slow turn, and look thing, which maybe she thinks is sexy? the aloof thing, again. i'm standing right there, and she doesnt acknowledge me!! are you serious?!! she finally asks what i needed, and i ordered. i went back to our table, and just went on a rant. everyone joined in, on how terrible this bartender is. the ONLY saving grace thing that happened, was that at about 6pm, a waitress came on. she was really nice. very prompt, with checking on us, and was just a world better, than that awful bartender. so, back to our conversation at the table. we all recognized the difference in service, with the waitress, and discussed it. we also all decided that this would be the last time we would go to this bar. what a shame. what a waste! NEVER going to Champs, again. super lame!! no one wants to be ignored. we go to bars to enjoy company. to spend money, and get service. to drink, and have fun!! that's not at this bar. when i got on here, to write a review, i noticed that another guy had an issue, recently, with this bartender (it has to be the same girl). i didnt read further reviews. i dont have to. i lived it.

Champs is a great bar to meet up with friends for a drink, play some pool, or watch sports. I've gone at several different times, and the service and food are always good! Kade is by far the best bartender they have, and they've had a few. Kade so friendly, always remembers your drink, and truly takes care of all his patrons. If he's there, I know the service is guaranteed to be great!

Champs has a new owner as of a year ago, so anybody that is negative. Should try it now. Food is great atmosphere is nice staff is extremely nice so please go try it again

If you like bars that have the feel of being in a small town with the locals, this is the one. All of the people are very nice. Great beer and other bar drinks. Had their hamburger and fries a few times. Really good. It's difficult to find a casual place that is welcoming like this.

Dope locals bar. I've alway passed by Champs but never stopped by, shame on me. Came in just to play darts! Staff was friendly as well as everyone around. Drinks were reasonably priced. I noticed that Tuesday evening there was a billiards league during that night as well. After my first visit I definitely would like to come back just to hang out or watch a sports event here! Parking: plenty of parking in the neighborhood area (Pass st.) or on Burbank Blvd. VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

Came for MNF on 11/15. I realized that even though it wasn't very full at the time I got there, I still had to go up to the bar to order a drink. Looked like the bartenders were in a shift change. I'm lucky the bar was still pretty open once I had my drink because apparently my table had been placed on reserve for a larger party while I was grabbing my drink. Found another table. Plenty of TV's in there Ordered buffalo wings which were pretty meaty and definitely fresh cooked as they were hot when I got them. A bit salty for me Second half I ordered chili cheese fries. The chili was a bit salty as well but was a good portion size. Good service, wide selection of beers. Happy hour every day. Good place to catch a game

Went for the first time last week. Really enjoyed my experience, the place had a good atmosphere and music. Was helped by Vinnie who was great!!

The family went to Champs after a morning of sports. I was incredibly surprised at how great the food is! My chicken sandwich was delicious and juicy, hubs said his burger was the best he had in a while and the best thing we ate...the wings! Best wings in Burbank, hands down! It was very clean and the service was quick. Pool tables, darts, shuffleboard and a juke box give you plenty to do. Tons of TVs. We'll be back!

The experience here has definitely gotten better over the years (and after their makeover) and it's a pretty lively environment for NLF football on Sundays. The food and prices are decent and the staff is pleasant. It's not directly accessible to my home, so outside of sporting events, I have never been just to hang out, but I'll make it over one day. Parking lot is tiny, but street parking is everywhere.

The fries are always undercooked and have a fishy taste to them because the cook doesn't clean and wash the fryer and grill. Get qualified cooks that wash and clean the fryer and grill before starting another order because its gross eating high priced subpar food with dirty grease oil because CHAMPS Cooks think its ok because they are very lazy people. I even saw regular customers going behind the bar to get napkins, ketchup, etc which is against the health regulations but its ok to do at CHAMPS if you're a regular. If you want to pay $16 dollars minimum plus tax plus tip eating subpar food with dirty grease oil than CHAMPS is the place for you

If you're a single white 50 year old with the sole intention of watching the game, this is fine for you. Bartender is not pleasant, at least not towards me, a 23 year old in colorful clothes with a service dog. Took 15 mins for her to come up to me only to ask to see my service papers, no hi, no hello, nothing. Then she tried to leave after seeing them until I asked "can you take my order please!". After that it was just blatant ignorance to me. Bathroom looks like someone swung a wet baseball bat around it. Wings for mediocre at best. The bottle of corona was good, lime was fresh. So there's that. I'm never going there again, I wasn't expecting much, but to be not greeted, not ever asked if I need anything, and never a "Thankyou have a good day" I was a server for five years, this place is a dive bar for people with little taste and expectation. But even I had little expectation and here I am writing a review.
