Big portions. Tasty and delicious. Good service, ask your server for recommendations and explain the item. Only negative thing is we asked for alcohol drinks and they weren’t serving any because still working on license. Recommend, will come back. Good quality food. Big parking lot. Price not bad with the portion sizes.

If you’re looking for a trendy twist on Korean cuisine, Chan Chan is a great spot to check out! They offer classic Korean dishes but with modern flavor updates and presentation that’s both delicious and affordable. Instead of traditional paper menus, you’ll need to scan a QR code at the table or check out the clear, easy-to-read menu on the wall. They keep the options concise, making ordering a breeze. What I ordered: ▶️ Spicy & Sweet Tuna Kimbap 참치 김밥 – $9.99 The tuna had a creamy texture, wrapped up in perfectly cooked rice and seaweed. The size of each roll was about 1.5 times bigger than your usual kimbap—definitely not a one-bite deal! ▶️ Fried Chicken Tenders 치킨 텐더스 (4-5 pieces) – $13.99 I chose the chicken tenders during their lunch special. These tenders were made with chicken breast, so I felt healthier and lighter. I paired them with sweet garlic sauce (스윗갈릿), which had a hint of mustard and a touch of sweetness—definitely a unique flavor that you won’t find at traditional Korean restaurants, but it was so good! ▶️ Rose Pasta 로제파스타 – $17.99 Rose pasta is super popular in Korea, and even available in convenience stores too! The sauce is a mix of red (tomato) and white (cream) sauces, often available as a pre-made mix at grocery stores (just look for “cream cheese rose sauce”). Every restaurant seems to have their own take on this dish. In Korea, it’s usually slightly spicy, but although Chan Chan marked it as spicy, I didn’t really taste any. The portion was massive— enough for 2-3 people to share! The plating here is on point, with thoughtful presentation that’s perfect for photos. Even the dishes and containers have a more modern, stylish vibe compared to typical Korean restaurants. The banchan (side dishes) were lighter in flavor, with kimchi and pickled radish that weren’t too sour, making them more suited to international palates. Oh, and a clean restroom is always a bonus for me (yes, I’m one of those people who always checked the bathroom cleanliness! ). Chan Chan is definitely on my list for a return visit! They also have another location in Irvine. If you’re craving traditional Korean food, you might have to head over to Garden Grove or a little bit north for more variety, but Chan Chan is a great option for something a little different in the Huntington Beach area. 📍 Chan Chan 7862 Warner Ave UNIT 110, Huntington Beach, CA 92647

When your all-time FAVORITE Korean fried chicken spot opens a new location, you RUN before the hype gets there! Huntington Beach, you're so lucky to have a Chan Chan in ya. You know I had to order all my favorites to test the consistency with their OG location in Irvine and ya'll, still slaps. The Chan Chan gimbap which is always so pretty, kimchi Spam fried rice, and the Chan Chan tenders that are literally HUGE! Basted in that sweet soy sauce, ugh chef's kiss. Also tried something new today with the cream pasta and it did not disappoint. Everything reminds me of...that creamy white sauce Thanks for reading! ^-^

We had Shrimp fried rice, rose tteokbokki & fried chicken. The fried chicken was very crunchy and full of flavor. (Sweet and garlic sauce is my favorite) Very clean space & large tables available for big groups.

Food tasted good with a lot of flavor but was a little pricey for a strip mall restaurant.

Ordered take out cause I saw their video on instagram! Sooo good and was able to feed two people enough that we couldnt finish it all. I've had left over for a few days and its still good

Delicious food and great service. We got the combo one , just to try everything, and it turned out fantastic. All was full of flavor.

Google
The chicken was good. The service was great. The portions are huge. I would recommend coming here with a friend or so you can try other things. Quality was good as well. Nice clean still new. You can self order or dine in . When you compare it pricewise kind of expensive but then when you look at the portion size kind of makes up it . I’ve only only been one time when they just barely opened. Apparently, they have a Irvine location too based of this one time, I’d try them again

Yelp
Chan Chan, where did you come from? I swear, this place popped up out of nowhere and blew my mind. My daughter asked for Korean fried chicken, so I took to Yelp and prayed for a miracle. Yelp, you came thru!!!! Walked in expecting a fast food vibe because it looked like it would be a fast food place but the server treated us like we were fine dining. We ordered the Combo 3 and damn, those wings were huge--heavily battered but somehow light and crispy. I know, it's an oxymoron, but they pulled it off. The spicy soy sauce was a game changer, and my daughter was all about that Chan Chan sauce. But let's talk about the rice cakes--I'll be dreaming about that sauce for the rest of my life. The beef kimbap? Solid. Food was on point, but honestly, the sauces stole the show. I knew it was legit when my daughter whispered, "this is so good," which is basically a miracle since she doesn't say that about any place-- except for my cooking (she's my fave kid). Only downside? No alcohol. Bruh, come on. Get it together. Other than that, Chan Chan is a solid 5/5. Catch us here regularly

Yelp
Was craving korean fried chicken and stopped by this spot since it was close by. We were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes and the delicious dishes!! We ordered two KFC (16pc) because we wanted two flavors. Honestly we over ordered and realized later that we could choose two flavors with one order (I think). The sweet garlic wings were my favorite. The wings are so crispy and HUGE, i loved every bite! I enjoyed that it didn't taste TOO fried. We also got the grilled beef kimbap and it was MASSIVE. The crispy and spicy fries were such a shock. They were super saucy but still very crispy, the flavor was very good! The servers were very attentive and took good care of us. The restaurant itself is kind of small but we got seated right away.

Yelp
Came in at 3.05 pm but they still let us order from the lunch special menu (cut off time 3 PM) Was about to order three main course and the chicken side dish but the server informed us that portions was quite big. Luckily, we listen to her because our party of 3 couldn't even finish the two main course plus chicken dish. Food was great and portion size. Amazing. Definitely recommend recommended.

Yelp
I went here for a spontaneous meal recommended out of the blue by my dinner buddy and I was very pleasantly surprised by the very friendly and welcoming solo waiter to the bare bones little restaurant. It was clean and spare. Not much of an ambiance, but the food was really good. We shared the rose rice cake and the white beef noodle soup. The rose rice cake was kind of like a slightly sweet, slightly spicy creamy gnocchi carbonara. It had seafood and corn and bacon. Flavor popping! The white beef was I think a bone broth soup generously topped with green onion. Also flavor popping! I'll be hitting up this place again for sure.

Yelp
I am so glad that there is a good Korean restaurant in this area! I've had the rosé tteokbokki a couple of times, and really enjoyed how creamy and flavorful the dish is. I would also recommend adding the wide glass noodles for their bouncy and chewy texture. This restaurant also has delicious kimbaps that are included in their weekday lunch specials. Today I got the spicy and sweet pork kimbap to-go. As someone with a lower spice tolerance, I was initially hesitant but luckily it was manageable. In the past, I've had their grilled beef kimbap which was also tasty.

Yelp
I went on a Saturday for lunch and the place was pretty empty at noon. It got slightly busier as the day went on. I would describe Chan Chan as fast casual Korean food. Their specialty is the fried chicken but the menu had several other food items and plenty of pastas. We ordered the fried chicken wings and the rose pasta. The fried chicken has several choices for sauces, some sweet, some spicy. I opted to have the sauce on the side since I don't like my wings drenched in sauce. The waitress knew I was debating between 2 sauces so she brought both out on the side for me. I got the sweet garlic and the Chan Chan house special. Both were tasty. The sweet garlic was a non spicy sauce and the Chan Chan had a slight kick to it and I would describe it as more of a soy garlic sauce. The Rose pasta was very rich and creamy and spicier than the wings but very tasty. Portion sizes were on the large side. The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to a gym. One side of the parking lot is one hour parking and the other is 2 hours so choose wisely! The restaurant is not that big so I anticipate it to be crowded during the week for lunch. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I would come back!

Yelp
An excellent Korean restaurant! The food here at Chan Chan is great! I tried the spicy seafood rice cakes and they were so yummy. The restaurant gives a generous portion that you could easily make 2 meals out of. It's not too spicy so if you're scared about the spicy title it's not too bad and doesn't hurt your mouth. It's a little salty, but when I reheated it back at home I just added a little more water and sugar and it was perfect. Their rice cakes are also so soft and chewy. The texture is really nice. I also tried the Chan Chan Kimbap which seems to be their house special Kimbap. It was very good. I loved how the ingredients are overflowing out of the sides so you get a little extra of the filling. Great rice texture and great nori texture. Another thing I loved about this restaurant is their sauces. If you get the chicken please make sure to try their house garlic sauce. It's delicious and super garlicky. The staff here are really nice and will ask any questions you have about the menu. They'll even be able to identify menu items based on yelp photos if you don't know which dish is which. I can't wait to return here and try more dishes.

Yelp
Been recommended by family to try out Chan Chan. Located in the same plaza as Gyu Kaku/Subculture Sandwiches in HB, this little corner restaurant is a great new addition to the plaza. We ordered their gimbap for takeout. I opted for the beef gimbap. It came with a couple of dips and a side of pickled radish. The beef gimbap had really good flavor. Meat was very tender and not at all chewy. Ingredients used were very fresh. Only downside is that the gimbap is very pricey compared to the ones you can get in Garden Grove. Regardless, still very good!

Yelp
We came on a Friday and there was no wait/line so that was really good! We ordered 3 things and it left us feeling very satisfied! The ambiance was a bit sad Idk, they played sad music and I was just really sad LOL Tenders: 3/5 the chicken has a tempura battered that were a bit plain and it wasn't super crunchy either. However, the sauce did make up for it but it was a bit runny so it did not stick the chicken Seafood noodles soup: 5/5 GET IT WITH FRESH NOODLES! This dish was so fulfilling and the taste has a STRONG seafood flavor which I really like. Perfect amount of spice and the proteins in there are pretty good and reasonable amount! Kimchi fried rice: 4/5 really kimchi fried rice but it didn't WOW me. Simple dish that left me feeling satisfied

Yelp
Always get friendly service here. Our group loves to come here for good eats and catching up. The staff have been pretty patient with us and come to check up on us often to make sure we have everything we need

Yelp
While my initial choice was unavailable in this center, I decided to give Chan Chan a try. Their Black Sauce Tteokbokki (rice cakes) were a bit pricier than expected, but was satisfying, though a tad salty. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly and was hot and chewy. They allowed me to customize my order by removing the pork, and I was assured that the sauce itself was meat-free.The accompanying marinated radish was a nice touch. They did not have any hot sauce or sriracha, but the dish was enjoyable on its own.

Yelp
Definitely my go to spot when I wanna treat myself to some GOOD ARSE FRIED CHICKEN!!! The crunch, the flavor, the juiciness!!! AHHH!! The workers here are so nice too! I usually order online for takeout and last time I just walked through the door and the person up front came to help me immediately! Lol they are very attentive and friendly :). I usually get the rose rice cakes with wide glass noodles and their Chan Chan chicken. This order will last me about 2-3 days because the portions are pretty generous. Whenever I walk in, it looks like there are a fair amount of tables available for anyone looking to dine alone or for a group of 6 or less. Chan Chan is honestly one of the few places I highly recommend for all my friends to try! It's just so good!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I really liked: Sweet Garlic Tenders Rose Rice Cake Spicy Ham and Sausage Noodle Soup I liked: Grilled Beef Rice Roll Combo #1 comes with all of the above #goodeats and is super filling. It easily feed 3-4 people and is great comfort food. I recommend getting the Sweet Garlic sauce separate and dipping it. I'm also not sure what the Rose is in the rice cake, that flavor didn't come through. Everything else is pretty much as you can imagine it. Service is decently fast but they did get a couple things slightly wrong like the sauces not being on the side and not asking which rice cakes we wanted. The shop itself is clean and functional, it's not too busy in here and there's plenty of seating.

Yelp
Food came out very taste, service was great! Ambiance was very clean and comfortable. The chicken tenders I got were nice and hot when I received and very juicy. I'll definitely be back! Cheers,

Yelp
Best Korean fried chicken in OC! We ordered: Sweet garlic fried chicken Rose rice cakes Chan Chan Kimbap Everything was so good and filling. The chicken was super crispy and juicy. Pro tip: ask for the sauce on the side so the chicken stays crispy We loved the rose rice cakes too, it was very creamy and cheesy and filled with lots of diff toppings like corn, fish cakes, and what I think is ham. The Chan Chan Kimbap was very refreshing to eat and paired well with the rosé sauce. Service was very nice and quick. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
I love Chan Chan in Irvine, so of course I had to try the new HB location. I was not disappointed! Like the other place, the food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the service was friendly and quick. I ordered my usual Sweet Garlic Wings and Squid Tteokbokki, which were both amazing in flavor and texture. The wings were super crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, and the rice cakes were fat, chewy, and delicious. The squid was not overcooked, resulting in the perfect texture. I am a bone-in type of gal, but their boneless wings are also pretty fire and not dry at all. My group ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice (with spam) and Beef Kimbap as well, which were both great. You could actually taste the kimchi in the fried rice, and the kimbap was generously stuffed with ingredients. Chan chan is great for a group dinner because everything is large and sharable. However, the inside is not too spacious nor have many tables; our group of 7 had two tables pushed together. The plaza it is in is fairly small as well, so parking was a bit rough when we came on Friday night.
google avatar

Yelp
If you like Korean food, this is the shop for you! Parking can be difficult to find since it is in a busy plaza. I came at night, and it still took awhile to find a spot. There's a kisok at the front if you want to order to go. I decided to sit down and order. I like that they play kpop in the store. The inside of the restaurant is bright and welcoming. Service was friendly and checked on us regularly. They also give you banchan here, like kimchi, cabbage, and pickled radish. I didn't care for it, since it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Thr portions are big here! I suggest you come starving or with a large group. The spicy tuna kimbap portion was cut, pretty big. It was a struggle, trying to eat the kimbap. However, I liked that the kimbap was crunchy, since they added a lot of vegetables. The sweet chili chicken came out piping hot! So be careful not to burn your mouth. The chicken had a nice spice kick to it, but it was super saucey. The rosé pasta tasted a bit like mac and cheese? I didn't mind it though since the pasta was tasty. The corn added a nice texture. There was a lot of seafood in the pasta. I'll be back to explore other food, since the menu is pretty vast.
google avatar

Jax L.

Yelp
I love their spicy tuna and beef gimbap. Presentation is pretty, but their cuts are ridiculously huge, so when you bite everything falls apart. We got a large order of their original bone-in wings: they surprised us 4 different sauces on the side! This is amazing because we don't like soggy wet rubs. Rose pasta: yum, but could be more spicier for my taste. Spicy beef soup serves 2-3. More kimchi than beef. 1st time trying their Kimmari and it reminds me of dim sum fried seaweed wrap. Tasty. Service is fast, but they are shy about recommendations. They have no opinion on most dishes. This location is cleaner, faster, and better than Irvine. We went twice in a month! Will come back to try the white beef soup and fried squid items. Parking sucks. Also, I wish they stayed open later.

Yelp
What a gem! Originally, we had planned to go to this other establishment next door, but the next available time would have been an hour later. So, we decided to try Chan Chan, and we're so glad! We were here on a Saturday night for dinner around 6pm. Clean table and chairs--a good sign that the employees care about presentation. I remember seeing a Chan Chan in Irvine, but I'm glad I finally had the chance to try it here. Kimchi and spam fried rice, spicy sweet pork kimbap, fried tenders, chan chan wings: all super delicious! Our group especially loved the fried rice and kimbap. Our waiter was awesome. Fast, friendly service. Again, everything was delicious and very satisfying overall!
google avatar

Yelp
Located in a small little plaza with some parking spots right in front (though time limited) and also a parking structure right behind. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious as well. I went on a weeknight and the restaurant never was completely full so I do feel it was kind of quiet, even with music playing (just a side note).
google avatar

Andrew P.

Yelp
My friends and I caught wind of the soft opening and decided to stop by. We were greeted with the staff and explained the menu and their soft opening special. Since we were already veterans of the Irvine location we knew what to order right away and the staff took our orders no problem, they even threw in an additional entree as a promotion! The food is very consistent with the Irvine location and reliable. Overall would recommended this location if the other locations too far :)

Yelp
I'm a sucker for Korean food, so of course I had to try the new Chan Chan when it opened!! What I got: Original Fried Chicken (highly recommend!!!) Rose pasta Spicy seafood noodle Tteokbokki The Korean fried chicken IS AMAZING HERE!! Make sure you get the original with your sauce on the side for optimal crispiness! The brown sauce isn't my favorite, but the garlic cream one was good! The rose pasta here is also sooooo good and very creamy! Loved how it paired with the chicken. I would say get the normal tteokbokki (without the intestines/hearts since it tasted a bit off) and get the flour ones! The flour tteokbokki is sooooo chewy and yummy! Such a great spot for Korean food and the portions are HUGE! The interior is nice as well; modern and bright. I would definitely come back for the chicken!
google avatar

Tammy N.

Yelp
Loved the food here! We tried the spicy soondae noodle soup and chicken tenders with the chan chan sauce. It's not the cheapest food, but it's definitely worth it for the quality and quantity. We had a good amount of leftovers after we were done. I liked how soft the soondae was, and the perilla leaves complimented the organ meat. The tenders were juicy and had a light, crispy batter. I think they're better than their wings since they don't feel as heavy and have a better meat to batter ratio. Would definitely come here again!

Yelp
Ever since Chan Chan has opened up in HB I have been wanting to check it out. I went for the first time on a weekend for lunch with one other person. We were pleased that there was no wait when we arrived although it was busy. Be warned that the portions are pretty large here. We ended up just sharing their Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup and the Chan Chan wings. We were impressed with how much food we were getting. I love that for the noodle soup you can choose either ramen or fresh noodles. We tried their fresh noodles and they were so good with the seafood broth. I also like that you can choose how spicy you want your food. Medium spicy definitely was spicy but in a good way. The Chan Chan wings were also really good but if I can do it again I would ask for the sauce to be on the side instead. Rookie mistake. But the chicken was really good and they were fried perfectly. And I appreciated they gave us pickled items before our food came out. We were satisfied with our meals with even some food left over to bring home. For two items we paid $50 which I thought was fair. The service was great and food came out fast. The inside is very casual. It's pretty big with lots of tables and chairs. We didn't feel crammed. I can't wait to recommend this spot to family and friends.

Yelp
My cousin has been to the one in Irvine, so she was so excited to hear they opened one in Huntington Beach! We looked at the menu and we were sold because everything looked so good. There were so many different things to order, but we asked the server for their recommendations, and we were so happy with what we got! Rose Ricecakes: SOOO good and flavorful! Every bite was delicious. You get to choose between the flour cakes or rice cakes, but we got a little mix of both. The traditional rice cakes are typically chewy, but the flour ones are super soft. I liked the mix of both! Kimchi Spam Fried Rice: this dish is always so good, but I really loved the flavor here. I wish I could make the ones at home taste like this!! Chan Chan Tenders: these were so good and not the typical tenders I expected at all. The small was still huge! And the sauce was so good. Chan Chan Wings: the wings were HUGE!! Had too much breading for my husbands liking, but looked delicious tk me!! We got full so fast, but we loved it and can't wait to go back to try new things!
google avatar

Joseph N.

Yelp
I was craving some Rosé Tteokbokki so I used one of the free Rice Cake gift cards that I got from my first visit. This time I got it Togo. The breakdown Rosé Tteokbokki 3/5: I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. They had bits of bacon and onions which enhanced the flavor of the sauce. However, the sauce was very liquidy and it was almost like eating ramen! I really believe that if they got the consistency of the sauce right, that this will be my favorite item there. The rice cakes were cooked well and the corn was a very nice touch. I will for sure get this again if the sauce was thicker!
google avatar

Yelp
Slowly but surely, HB is getting really good Asian restaurants!! Saw this place recently on my way home and wanted to try. My fiancé and I came kind of late on a Friday night and were glad to see that it was bustling. Seems like it's a good late night spot. We ordered the kimbap, rose tteokbokki, kimchi friend, and fried squid. The fried rice was next level!! Will be returning solely for that. I loved the tteokbokki as well. I was underwhelmed by the kimbap though. Regardless, there are enough dishes that I enjoyed that make me excited to return!

Yelp
So the last time I had Korean-style Fried Chicken was at BBQ Chicken back in (don't remember what year) in Irvine off Alton Parkway. Fast forward a few years; I've gotten a flashback. Only thing is, prices can be an issue if you don't come here for the lunch specials. My mom and I got both the Sesame Bites and the Chan Chan Wings, and their portions are HUGE, if you don't get the lunch portion, so we ended up having to take the other half of our order home. My wings with the Chan Chan sauce tasted great, with the soy sauce and the jalapeños for a little kick. I will come back... but for the lunch specials in case there are people who don't have big appetites like I do.

Yelp
So glad they opened a location in Huntington Beach because the food is amazing! There's not many Korean restaurants in the area so if you're in HB, definitely check them out! All the food are amazing but you HAVE to get the original fried chicken- once you have it, you can't go back to normal fried chicken!

Yelp
I recently gave Chan Chan a try for lunch during the week, excited to explore what it had to offer. When I arrived, I couldn't help but notice that the dining area wasn't very crowded. However, there was a constant flow of customers picking up their to-go orders. We were pleasantly surprised by the efficient service for dining in. We opted to try a range of dishes and were surprised by the large portion sizes, which were amazing considering it was a lunch menu. We decided to try out the Sweet Garlic Chicken Tenders, Spicy Squid Fried Rice, and White Beef Brisket Noodles with fresh noodles instead of ramen. Each dish was delicious and bursting with flavor. The Sweet Garlic Chicken Tenders were delightfully crispy and expertly seasoned with a delectable garlic sauce that was incredibly flavorful and left me feeling completely satisfied. We requested sauce on the side, which turned out to be a smart decision as we ended up with leftovers. The Spicy Squid Fried Rice had just the right amount of heat, with tender pieces of squid that added a delightful chewiness to the dish. The White Beef Brisket Noodles were certainly enjoyable with tender slices of beef and fresh, springy noodles that went well with the broth. In addition, we really liked the variety of banchan sides that came with our meal. The prices for the amount of food we received felt very reasonable, making it a great deal for the quality and quantity provided. In general, we were very pleased and look forward to trying it again.

Yelp
This is their newest location - my friend and I were craving some Korean food! The location is clean and our servers checked on us frequently. We ordered the sweet & spicy tuna kimbap, rose fish cakes, original fried wings & kimchi with spam fried rice. The wings were crispy and hot with an array of dipping sauces to choose from. My favorites were the spicy sweet soy & the sweet chili! I like that you can choose how spicy you want them. I didn't like the garlic sauce because it had a sweetness to it and with all the other sauces being sweet, I would've liked it to only be savory. The rose rice cakes were soooooo good - the sauce was rich and creamy with pieces of bacon and the rice cakes were chewy perfection. I couldn't stop eating this. The spam & kimchi fried rice was packed with flavor! My favorites were the chicken and the rose rice cakes.

Yelp
Came here as a party of 8. Ordered a lot. Chanchan kimbap 5/5 Very good, lots of ingredients and lots of flavor Spicy tuna kimbap 4/5 Pretty standard kimbap but the size of the roll is pretty big Shrimp fried rice 3/5 Also pretty standard, nothing special, but not bad Soy sauce tteokbokki (+ wide glass noodle) 5/5 Pretty good tteokbokki variant for those who cant handle spice. There was chunks of beef and a lot of sauce. Loved the wide glass noodle. Rose tteokbokki 4/5 Had lots of bacon chunks and onion. Full of flavor. Sweet garlic fried chicken 5/5 The sweet garlic sauce is so good. Sweet savory and garlicy. Asked for the sauce on the side so the chicken stayed crisp throughout our meal. White beef noodle soup 5/5 Very good noodle soup. Had lots of flavor and the noodles were perfectly cooked as well. Since we were asked to move tables since another bigger table came, got fried tteokbokki and fried mix (squid, kimmari, dumpling) and fries on the house. Service was good, they occasionally were checking up on our table. This is a great spot for a quick korean lunch - kimbap and chicken is really good (pretty much what they're good at and what most people order). Dish sizes were pretty big. Other dishes are pretty decent.

Yelp
Chan Chan, now also in Huntington Beach, serves up contemporary Korean flavors with a laid-back, casual vibe perfect for any occasion. They are known for their mouthwatering Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki, and hot soups. While browsing the menu, we also saw that many of their main ingredients such as gochujang and dumplings are made in-house! Which make perfect sense as there was a noticeable difference in their tasty food. Food comes out pretty quick and service is very attentive and friendly! We truly enjoyed every single item and were shocked at their huge portions. Definitely bringing more people next time!

Yelp
Edit: I was planning to give a 5 star review, but I got the food to go and found a metal wire in the Seafood Noodle soup. Maybe it was from a metal wire scrub that they used for cleaning? Luckily I haven't swallowed it. This is so dangerous to ingest into your throat and stomach. I recommended the place to friends, but now I wouldn't want to come back. This is a new Korean restaurant in Huntington Beach. They offered chicken wings, soups, rice cakes (tteokbokki), etc. The place was a bit small. Servers were nice and attentive. * White Seafood Noodles 4/5 - The Noodle bowl was huge and could feed 2 people. The fresh noodles were chewy and yummy. The broth was flavorful, sweet, with that seafood umami. The seafood included clams, crab, squids, shrimps, and mussels. There were lots of squids and mussels and maybe 2 shrimps. The white version was non-spicy. You can ask for sauces (chili and soy sauce) on the side if you need more flavors. * Sweet Garlic Chicken Wings 4.5/5 - The wings were huge and crispy. I love how Korean fry batter are thin and not thick like American fry batter. The sweet garlic sauce was buttery, garlicky, sweet, and salty. They may be a bit sugary sweet for my taste, but overall pretty addicting.

Yelp
Sweet garlic wings - ordered with sauce on the side because I like to be able to control how saucy the wings were. Wings had a thin outer crust that's not breaded or battered like your typical American fried chicken - super crispy and light. Sauce had strong garlic flavor and is on the sweeter side - seems like a mixture of garlic, condensed milk, and butter. We got the 8 piece wings and they were HUGE, was able to feed 3 teens. Original - pretty much the same as above but without the sauce. A bit bland in my opinion and better if dipped in their house sauce or ketchup! Rose rice cake - too salty for me, I ordered this as take out and I had to add half a cup of milk and half a cup of water to balance it out. I do love the huge chewy rice cakes though - they did not skimp out on the fish cake and bacon bits either! Came in at 11:30AM and ordered at the kiosk for take-out without any wait. You have options to order at kiosk (take out only) or at counter (take out and dine in). Plenty of seatings. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
My husband and I were so excited that a Chan Chan opened in this area! We were commuting to Irvine for Chan Chan before. We love the sweet garlic chicken wings. Their batter is crispy and the chicken is so good! We tried the grilled beef kimbap and it was good too but it kept breaking haha. There wasn't much service. The layout is a bit weird because the front door isn't directly in front. When you arrive they seat you and there's a code to scan the menu. They bring cups of water and a water pitcher. The server checked on us while we were eating. Def recommend this spot for Korean fried chicken !

Yelp
I'd say it's still good but not as good as the Irvine location. I feel like it's definitely not as flavorful but the service is still solid and probably still the best option for korean fried chicken in HB.

Yelp
Walking in, the restaurant is clean and tidy, plus the staff is super friendly. I ordered the fried squid, Chan Chan Kimbab, and the grilled beef kimbab. The squid batter is crispy but is also thicker than I expected, making it crispy but softer in the inside. The rolls are quite large but delicious. I had a hard time one biting them. You also get sides which are kimchi and radish. Overall, great food, so stop by!

Yelp
I don't think their fried chicken is that good but the sauce is really good. Their spicy seafood noodle is pretty good. We always order the beef kimbap too. Once again, sauce is good. Their lunch special is good price. Their fried squid is good too, good portion size but we don't get it often because we try not to eat fried food. Service/cashier is pretty nice, good service. Restaurant is clean.

Yelp
Best Korean Fried Chicken in the OC hands down! Most people know Korean Fried Chicken for their soy or sweet based sauces but this changes the game completely. The Chicken is brought to you burning hot. The inside is beyond juicy and the outside is the crispiest! Be sure to order the Sweet Garlic sauce on the side. This ensures that the chicken stays crispy. The sauce is jam packed with chunks of garlic and provides the perfect amount of sweetness. The Chan Chan kimbap is refreshing and the perfect portion. The Rose Rice Cake was so creamy and flavorful (make sure to dip your kimbap in this sauce). Hands down the best Korean Fried Chicken! Must try.

Yelp
ive been to the chan chan in irvine before and wanted to go to this new location because i was in the area. i feel like the irvine one might be a little better, or at least in the times that i went. when we arrived there were only two or three other tables but the place itself is very spacious! it doesnt seem like it gets as crowded as the irvine location but we were seated and served right away. they also take your order at the table vs. in irvine where you order at the counter. i was craving kimbap this day so i opted for a grilled beef kimbap while my mom got the spicy seafood noodle soup with fresh noodles (the other option being ramen noodles) and she also got the chan chan kimbap to try. both of the kimbap was okay. ive definitely had better (i.e. dosirak in irvine). the beef was a bit dry and crumbly, not super flavorful either. they put a lot of rice in their kimbap too, and we felt like the rice was a bit hard like the rice wasn't that fresh/new. the chan chan kimbap was also just okay. i like that it had a lot of stuff in it and my mom thought the way they rolled it was cute. she liked her spicy seafood noodle soup too, it came with a lot of seafood. also all the portions here are HUGE so it's definitely a good place to go to share food with friends or family. overall we had an okay experience. the service was good but we felt that the food could be improved.

Yelp
review for catering order ~ chan chan was amazing fulfilling our 50 piece kimbap order last minute! we called in around 6:30 on a Saturday evening for a catering order and they were able to complete it in less than an hour, we extremely appreciated it as our event was already starting and we needed it asap. the grilled beef kimbap was delicious and also looked great aesthetic wise, the order came with 2 sauce sides and 2 tins of pickled veggies which went so perfectly with the kimbap. the kimbap was gone by the end of the night bc everyone enjoyed it so much. highly recommend this service. thank you chan chan for saving our bonfire :)

Yelp
So happy that we don't have to go to Irvine anymore to enjoy their food. Their chicken tenders always hit especially with the sweet garlic sauce. We also love their spicy cold noodles. Only downside is that is can be a bit pricey but well worth the splurge every now and then to enjoy top notch chicken and accompaniments. There's a lot of seating at this location and the staff were friendly. Will be coming back all the time.

Yelp
Great service. Chicken was fresh and crispy. Sides were yummy. Large portions. Kimbap was great and beautifully assembled.

Yelp
Food here is delicious! The portions are super big and shareable. We got the spicy beef noodles, chan chan chicken, and grilled beef kimbap, and had to bring leftovers home. I loved how they had complimentary sides as well. Although I gave 5 stars for the food, I felt like one of the girl staff was pretty unfriendly and did not smile or greet us at all, did not respond when we thanked her, and seemed to be in a bad mood, which was kinda unprofessional in my opinion. Interior is a bit small, I would prefer to do take out instead.

Yelp
glad they finally opened another location in oc! i used to frequent the irvine location a few years ago. stopped by with a friend, and the food was pretty good and came out quickly. the portions are a good size and every dish is great for sharing! service was good and they checked up on us often! we ordered some kimbap for takeout for a beach day and it's pretty big that everything kinda falls apart as you're taking a bite. *grilled beef kimbap *rose pasta *spicy & sweet tuna kimbap *chan chan kimbap *spicy fish cake kimbap

Yelp
Clean and welcoming atmosphere. We LOVED the Sweet Garlic Tenders! Crunchy batter and soft and juicy chicken tenders. So flavorful! Even when I heated it up the next day, it tasted so good. The Spicy Rice Cake is spicy. We requested it to be less spicy and even then it was still spicy. It was a good spicy though where everyone was still able to enjoy the food. The shrimp fried rice was ok. Compared to everything else we ordered, this dish was very bland and lacked flavor. We also ordered three different kimbaps. Spicy and sweet tuna, grilled beef and kimchi. All were pretty tasty. Not too much rice and lots of veggies and other fillings.
