I was blown away by Chani's Donuts! I still can’t believe these donuts are gluten-free and vegan—they’re seriously that good. A coworker introduced me to them and today was my first time visiting the shop. It’s absolutely adorable with the circus-themed decor, and the staff was incredibly kind and patient while I took my time choosing from all the delicious flavors. I also tried their strawberry lemonade Italian soda, hands down the best I’ve ever had! Not only are the donuts tasty and satisfying, but the prices are also super reasonable. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone, whether you have dietary restrictions or not. A total gem!

Okay but why are these so dang good??? I was craving donuts at 1am and decided to search San Diego on Google maps for some Gluten Free options and I am SO HAPPY I found this place. I made it just in time before they closed and asked for the surprise me special. Every flavor option I got was to die for. Crunchy, yet soft donuts, delicious flavors and will be my new cheat sweets 🤤 Free donut as you walk in and the prices are very fair and manageable I believe the strawberry one was my favorite but also can't go wrong with powdered. They were devoured in 10 minutes. The two ladies working at the time were so friendly and explained the menu to me and all the options available GO HERE NOW and try out these donuts I PROMISE they will be better than you think! Can't wait to go back! 🤤🤤🤤

A wonderful surprise for donuts that are allergen free! They are like a fair elephant ear or funnel cake is maybe the better description. A yummy deep fried treat. So lovely!! Lots of toppings to choose from - I couldn’t save enough to what I had planned to share …. I ate most all of them myself. Delicious! Reasonably priced so will get more next time with the hopes that more can be shared!

We love Chani’s donuts, you guys are the best! We used to make sure to ALWAYS stop by while visiting family here in town, but now that we are locals, we will be visiting more often! My wife has celiac disease and has almost come to tears each time she has eaten these, because these little donuts are simply so good! Check them out!

Mini donuts where you pick the toppings- loved that all the options were vegan but it's just not my flavor for when I'm wanting donuts. The staff were lovely, the decor was unique, but the smell of oil inside was a bit much for me.

I stumbled upon Chani's yesterday and the decor was very cool. I was excited to try their donuts since I have two coworkers that are vegan and struggle to find quality vegan donuts. The owner couldn't have been more gracious. She gave me a free sample and took time to tell me her story. I bought a box with various toppings and they were a hit at the office! I will definitely be going back and recommend giving them a shot! You won't be disappointed

It's rare to come here when there isn't a line but this morning must've been my lucky day! The donuts were perfect and when I was unsure about which toppings to get today, I was recommended "cherry pie" and a "pb & j" (the 'pb' is sunflower butter -- keeping with the allergen free promise). Both of their recommendations were AMAZING and the perfect combo. I love using the last donut to scoop up all the extra toppings lol Employees are always helpful and kind! I love stopping by anytime I'm traveling the 15 :)

These donuts were delicious! The person at the counter gave us a variety since we couldn't decide on a flavor, and all of them are amazing. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love that they're small so you can try all the flavors without getting over full. I also couldn't tell that the donuts were vegan or allergen free, they taste comparable to regular donuts! However, I would recommend that the company post their flavors somewhere. I tried to check online before going in and the link seems to be broken. I also checked their Instagram and usually businesses will have a weekly flavors or current flavors pinned / posted but didn't see any. All in all, we will be back for sure!

Chani's Donuts are probably thee best treat I've had since going vegan over ten years ago. In addition to being vegan, these mini treats are also gluten-free and made without common allergens BUT you would never know by tasting them! Deep fried to perfection and finished with a variety of delicious flavors and toppings, you really can have it all at Chani's. I chose cinnamon roll topping and as good as it was, there are so many tasty options that I can't wait to try another! Treats aside, this spot has friendly staff and such a cute decor. I love all the books inside and the fun environment!

Gluten free deliciousness in San Diego! Wow! We tried 2 dozen with 4 toppings: cinnamon sugar, glaze, chocolate and pink lemonade. All were perfect and although these are mini donuts, if you bite them in half, you cam double-dip with zero guilt. There better than traditional donuts, not light not heavy, just right.The decoration starion is a cute touch. Nice job, Chani and team!

This is an AMAZING circus-themed allergen-free dessert (donuts, cookies, and more) shop right in our neighborhood-- my family just discovered Chani's Donuts and highly recommend it!!! I have no idea how we didn't know about it before, since it is so charming and delicious (and free of the top 10 allergens, which is great for my kids), and so close to home! They even cater for classrooms and parties. I hope that this unique and awesome dessert shop thrives and stays in our community forever.

I'm not even vegan and I still find these donuts to be my favorite in San Diego!! I bring in these donuts to the office and everyone is always coming back for more, asking where I get these, and shocked these are vegan. The texture is perfect, crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. It kind of reminds me of a mochi donut but more crispy on the outside. I've tried so many flavors now and none of them disappoint so go with what you're feeling that day! If you have the pleasure of coming in when the owner is working, she is also a sweetheart!

Really tasty donuts, small so they're poppable and easy to eat 6-12 in one sitting. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and it's a fun shop with decent seating. I did take mine on a 6 minute car ride home and unfortunately all the drizzle toppings slid right off so the three flavors were pooled together instead of being separate.

I had order the Party Tray 72 count donuts and had them delivered through UberEats for my colleague's birthday. The 3 flavors I chose were strawberry, premium dark ganache and assorted. Everyone raved about how delicious they were. These mini donuts are truly mini and the size match up to about 1/2 a toothpick. Making them super snack-able that company ladies won't feel guilty about eating them. Vegan, dairy free and gluten free thus most people with dietary restrictions can enjoy them. The donuts looked so pretty! I really appreciate that for the assorted flavors, Chani's Donut did give us a good variety of flavors. I was so happy to hear that they tasted as good as they looked. I'd paid about $71 ( $45.94 for donuts + $3 for premium dark ganache flavor + $4 tax + $11 Uber fee + $7 tip). I'm definitely ordering these again at the company potluck but picking them up to save some money on Uber delivery cost.

My friend was craving donuts one day, so a quick Yelp search later on "Gluten Free Donuts", I found Chani's Donuts. Chani's (Shaw-nees) Donuts opened in November 2023 in the Kearny Mesa / Tierrasanta area of San Diego near the I-15. They market themselves as "Allergen Free" meaning no eggs, no dairy, no gluten. Vegan donuts made from rice, sorghum, and tapioca flours. Their menu - mini donuts! Most common is to order a dozen at a time. There are a variety of flavors to choose from. I selected Churro, Cinnamon, Powdered Sugar, Pink Lemonade, & Strawberry flavors. Yum! My friend and I finished the entire box within a day. LOL. Service is friendly & helpful. Ambiance is fun! Small shop with a circus theme. ENJOY!!

Great donuts! Visiting a friend and recently was diagnosed celiac. Everything is gluten free and the toppings were delicious. Apricot and blackberry lemon for me, so good. The donuts are crispy and yummy!

Wow!!!!! This place is the real deal. The donuts are delicious!!! The owner is so sweet!!! They are having a one year anniversary on Nov. 2nd. I ordered the skor donuts and cinnamon assortment. I'm addicted. Please support this business it's a gem.

What a dream come true to have top 10 allergen free donuts - the ENTIRE store! I was already happy that the plain donut was gluten dairy free, but to hear that all the toppings (caramel, raspberry, chocolate, cookie crumble, etc) are too! Services was so great - the lady who rang me up and I had a great convo about gluten free experience and shared notes about different markets and best vegan cheese. Thank you for existing!

All Vegan and GF donuts, top-10 allergen free! Similar to a bakery in Hillcrest, except this one is all about DONUTS! Clean, nice ambience. Very helpful staff, this was my first time here today and staff nice enough to explain the different combo flavors. Basically, they are mini sized donuts, u pick the flavor, they arrange the minis in the box and finish them off by adding the flavored topping. So far, i def like the cinnamon surprise and Love Bug. They are def soft especially when you eat it right away. The only thing is because it is a mini size, i def taste the oil or that the donuts are more oily than if i were to compare it with another shop's reg size donut. Nonetheless, it's worth the drive. Will def try other combos!

This place is amazing. We needed donuts for my child's school event and didn't think to ask ahead about allergies at another donut shop we were going to order from. In a panic, called Chani's and learned how allergen friendly they are and classroom friendly, they took on the challenge and in 15 mins had the order out the door. The staff were incredibly friendly the entire time, gave us samples, and made us feel very welcome. I was surprised how delicious the donuts were to be honest! My new favorite donut in San Diego, hands down. 13/10 would recommend trying out whether you have allergies, small children or neither, it's worth a try!

I was driving by and noticed the sign to try a free donut, the draw is that the donuts are little donuts that remind me of going to the fair or to a circus. The employees behind the counter were friendly, welcoming, and were willing and happy to answer any question I had. The inside reminds me of the colors of a circus and the best part, you can watch the donuts being made right there. Will be going back.

Yes, it is gluten free! You know its good if you have to ask the staff repeatedly if it has any gluten! They are the perfect size to just inhale a dozen in one sitting.....ADDICTING. It is a must for all the celiacs looking for a donut. I will say it is more like a mochi texture than a cake donut but who cares they are delish! Make trip, you won't regret it! Plenty of different toppings and allergy friendly for sure!

I wanted to try this place after seeing the pictures of donuts. They appeared to be much bigger on the picture. These donuts are bite size donuts like Girl Scouts cookies. I got two dozens and they cost $22 before taxes, plus a cup of coffee, which added up to be close to $28. It's quite expensive for the amount of donuts that I got. I'm giving them one star for the food since they are fresh and tasty. Another star for the customer service since the owner was taking time to make me a coffee for my liking. Another star for the decor. Some ppl found it scary but some found it unique i suppose.

Nice place with friendly service. Got a free sample while waiting. The sample was good. Got a dozen donuts: pink lemonade, cookie crumble, and churro. They were all very good. The next time I go, I just might get a dozen plain. They were that good.

These donuts are sooo good and they don't taste gluten free at all! They're really good! And the service was awesome! They give you free samples and the workers are super nice! I would recommend this to anyone who also has to be gluten free or just anyone who likes donuts! Chani's Donuts let me have donuts again and I am forever indebted to them!

This place is amazing! We ordered some of these for our office and they were gone so fast. Everyone loved these tiny donuts. We got the powdered sugar, strawberry, and apple pie. Since the donuts were tiny they were all super crispy and tasted (to me) better than the usual donut with a larger soft middle. It's also amazing that they're gluten free so that everyone can enjoy them! I love these and will be back to order some more on my own time :)

Chani's is a unique vegan donut experience - think funnel cake as a bite-sized donut or Greek Loukoumades (minus the honey). Very delicious, but not your typical sized donuts; they are more like the size of a donut hole. I highly suggest the parfaits as a serving size, which is a dozen in a cup with the topping of your choice. The circus theme is so fun and my kiddos love the activity table they have set-up with art supplies and books to enjoy. I hope they are able to expand their brand, maybe include some patio tables outdoors, and add a honey substitute as a topping option. Seriously, give them a try! I forgot to mention they have beverages too - tea, coffee, etc.

I love this little place! She makes allergen free, gluten-free, and vegan mini doughnuts. On top of that, they are quite tasty and come in a variety of different toppings and such. For example, I had the $5.50 deal, which comes with six doughnuts with flavors or your choice and a coffee. I went with three cinnamon and sugar and three cinnamon rolls. The coffee I had with oat milk. They are dairy free, so they are no milk products here. The doughnuts were very tasty. They were like mini pillows of goodness with great flavors. Both flavors were great. I also tried, as a sample, the seasonal ginger bread and dark chocolate ganache, and they were both amazing. I do recommend this little place, especially if you have allergies, prefer gluten-free, and are vegan. Customer service is super friendly and welcoming. The place offers a few tables inside and outside.

What a fun and yummy donut spot. Walked in and was immediately greeted and to try a sample. The donut was fresh and tasty. To me it tasted like a funnel cake. I like that you are able to customize what topping you put on your donuts. They even have a morning special, perfect for a Friday morning run. I recommended this place to my daughter because she has to avoid several allergens. She said the donuts were fantastic and she can't wait to enjoy them again! She also bought the cookies but was less enthusiastic about them.

A hidden gem!!! Tucked away in a small plaza near where I live, I saw this Donut shop and saw it a few times on social media and decided to give it a try. - PARKING - Shares a parking lot with just a few other businesses, but there's limited space, and be mindful for any gym-goers that run by! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Immediately when you walk in, you smell the fried dough and sweetness in the air. Unfortunately, some of that fried smell definitely stuck to my clothes and I smelled the shop the whole way home! If you've never been in, they give you a sample of their donuts, and this is what sold me. It's a texture in between a donut and a mochi donut... slightly crispy on the outside, with some chew on the inside, but still airy. I was honestly overwhelmed by the amount of toppings and flavors to choose from, but ended up picking two that sounded good at the time. There's a few tables and chairs, but the shop itself is pretty small. - FOOD - 6 Donuts: I ended up getting 6 donuts to be able to try 3 and 3 of two different flavors. I got the butterscotch and the maple, which in hindsight are similar enough that at a first bite you can't tell which is which... but that was my mistake! Honestly both were still delicious, and I know for sure I'll be trying different flavors next time. - OVERALL - Nice little donut shop gem tucked away near the freeway, would definitely come back to try out more of the flavors and toppings!

My family liked the place. They are different than typical donuts we're used to. They are a little more crisp and chewy in the middle. They aren't too sweet for me like some donuts. Then they drizzle them with toppings for whatever you want to flavor them like. It makes it feel custom and you can just get a little snack which is nice.

We love Chani's donuts! We discovered it since my daughter takes classes across the street so we come in here for a reward if she does a good job. There is a friendly staff and super fun decor. It is circus themed with beautiful artwork on the walls also in a doughnut theme. They have little sculptures of animals eating donuts around the shop as well. They give you a little sample when you walk in the door so you can try the different flavors each time you come. We love coming here! They have a coffee happy hour so make sure you take advantage of that.

My friend recommended this spot to me and I was blown away when she told me it was allergen free! I am not really allergic to anything but it sounded interesting! We met the owner and she was super sweet! She did mention they are allergen free (no gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, milk, nuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, or wheat ), vegan mini donuts. I tried the 6 pieces of donuts with maple topping and cinnamon sugar and it tasted like a REAL DONUT. OMG! I should've gotten a dozen!!! Highly recommend!! Do yourself a favor and make this a regular visit! GO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

This place was popping up pretty consistently on my neighborhood page, I was in the area and needed a lil somethin sweet so I decided to check it out. When I walked in I was offered a free mini donut sample, it was fresh and yummy so that solidified the order lol. They have a bunch of different options as far as toppings I went with cinnamon and sugar - they asked if I wanted it closer to a cinnamon roll or churro flavor! I wanted more of a churro flavor and got chocolate sauce drizzled on top. It was really good!! Reminds me of the mini doughnuts at the fair. They let me know it was happy hour if I'd like a coffee but I already had one so I passed, but I'll be coming back to try it out! Service was great parking was good as well! If in the area it's worth the shot

These mini donuts are seriously so good! And since I'm celiac, I am very picky with gf donuts and have been disappointed by other places in town, so this place is seriously a breath of fresh air! I tried four of the seasonal flavors and they were amazing, especially the apple. Service was excellent and very friendly and I love the circus theme inside. It's located off of the freeway so very convenient if you're traveling on the 15. I was also surprised how affordable they were; usually gluten free baked goods are so expensive; especially if they're free from other allergens as well. My sons and I got through a dozen pretty quickly cause they were delicious! We will definitely be back.

I drove all the way from Tucson Arizona to try these and when I came in the store this morning it wasn't very busy but the two young ladies were not very friendly or professional, forgot my coffee and did not seem interested in engaging with me except to ring me up and gave all their courtesy to the family with children. It wasn't busy, they were just not interested in being friendly and courteous. What a disappointment to come so far to be treated this wa.... good donuts though.

Their donuts are amazing; you can't even tell they are gluten free. I try to eat gluten free and I am so glad I found Chani's Donuts. My daughter loves the mini donuts they serve at the Fair and she said these are even better. I love that you can buy frozen donuts. Five minutes in the air fryer and you get fresh donuts whenever you want. Chani is so sweet and gave us a free bag of frozen donuts as she wanted me to try it and make sure the quality is the same even though it was several weeks old. I couldn't tell a difference which means the donuts freeze well and can last a long time. However it gets eaten quickly since they are so good.

I absolutely love these carnival style mini donuts! I haven't been able to find a good gluten free donut until I came across this place. The texture is comparable to the churros you get in mexico from a churro cart. The staff is always very kind and helpful, they also have a drawing/ book reading area to keep the kids busy. Even if you don't have any food allergies, you should check this place out, you won't be disappointed

My husband told me I had to try this shop and wow he was right! We got some on our way up to Big Bear and I ate most of them in just a few minutes! I didn't want to share It's so nice to be able to enjoy gluten free donuts! We will def be back! Thank you!
