It’s hard to overrate the most seriously good fish shop in sydney. The double yellowfin tuna cheeseburger is an awesome healthy option to the classic, especially ribbed with a little house chilli sauce. The Murray cod is no1 for a reason. Crispy skin and incredibly moist. The fish wings were probably the highlight and the cod gravy the melt interesting and different of the mix. Was great to have been and experienced!

Second time here, not as great as the first visit. The first time last year, there was a queue waiting before they opened. Not this time. Food was quick. I loved the carrot salad last time, the salad were a bit salad looking this time round. Pass on the swordfish empanadas at $9 was one very tiny empanada with a sauce with no flavour. Chips are exxy and not note worthy. Loved the Southern fried burger but it's not the southern fried batter your expecting. Swordfish wrap was not bad but needs more fish. Loved the fish wings on our first visit. Overall expensive, worth it once. Pick wisely.

Charcoal Fish is hands down the coolest fish and chip joint in Sydney! Seriously, the fish here is like a flavor explosion, and don't even get me started on the chips—crispy, golden perfection. It's that spot you crave when you're after a taste of the seaside, with a friendly vibe that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon a local gem. The staff? Always with a smile, serving up the best fish and chips in town. If you're on the hunt for a seafood delight, Charcoal Fish is the spot that never disappoints—your taste buds will thank you!

Anyone fancy some fancy fish and chips? At $28, the Murray Cod fish & Chips is on the pricey side but the serving is quite generous and the fish is cooked perfectly! I am not as impressed with the chips and the tartare sauce though We also ordered some salads, cauliflower, corn and the veggie pie- they were all delicious my favourite is the tuna cheese burger ( $20) as it is very tasty! if I didn't know better, one would think that you are eating beef burger! what reminded me was the 2 small bone that I bit into! Despite this, I would not hesitate to buy it again

Fish burger was good. And so was the crispy battered fish and chips. Can't fault the freshness of it all either. Disappointed with the tacos though. Not as flavoursome and quite expensive for the amount you get.

Enjoyed the fish tacos, yummy salad, and sauce with it. Would prefer no batter on fish, but at least it's a light tasty batter. Not cheap, however the food is rich so you can't eat much. The salt and vinegar potato scallop is a bit thick with the potato, so a little doughy. Would also be good to dip in vinegar as the taste of it I'm the batter is not strong. Nice food display and set up. There are not many seats and gets popular at lunch for eat-in and takeaway.

Everything is DELICIOUS ! Cod is fresh, juicy with crispy skin. Loved the side of eggplant and mushroom. The fish roll was good too. Variety of other good sides to try. Fish portion size is really small in terms of price so you definitely need 1-2 sides with it. Bit pricey but great food. Staff is helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!

We had Sunday lunch recently at this popular place near Rose Bay beach. We ordered the grilled cod fish fillet (150 gr), the tuna cheese burger and swordfish empanada. The fish are fresh and prepared smartly. Taste wise, the dishes are mostly OK and have novelty value though not really memorable taste-wise. I think the best was the grilled cod fish fillet. The empanada was most over-priced with $9 price tag and such small size. Obviously you know that the food are not cheap here considering the location. Customer services are reasonable for small casual fish shop. There is not much ambience to discuss here since the place is just a small casual shop with premium price point. You would pay additional surcharge of 10% on Sunday.
