Chardo - resto & bar à vin

The waiter was warm, knowledgeable and he gave us great service! The wine and food were on point! The wines are all local and biological, which was a bonus. The food was beautifully plated, and the flavor and cook of the meals were perfect. From start to finish, the meals were executed wonderfully. My only criticism would be that the portions were on the smaller side. You almost need to order two meals per person to get full, but it would be worth it.

We went here to eat lunch and it was great. Food was very good and the sauces were amazing. We ordered the frog legs and the squid for appetizers and for the main courses we got the steak and fries and the beef tartare and the fish and chips. For dessert we had the strawberry rhubarb tart. Extremely good and will come again.

Very good food served in this restaurant. Products are fresh and well prepared. Options available for vegetarian. Staff is nice, welcoming and professional (knowledgeable about the menu). Booking is recommended. Parking available.

Unexpected stumble to this place. Foods are delicious and beautiful presented. Tartine aux morilles and beet - rhubarb salads - cavatelli (with his Hungarian/Mediterranean twist no picture as we slurped so fast) were our favourite. We came back for the brunch as well. Anthony has been working as sous-chef at some institution in Montreal (Bouillon Bilk & Europea) before opened his own place at Bromont. Amelie, his partner in life and in business, is the one who makes the wine flow with many local beers, wines and ciders.

We went to Bromont for a light lunch on a Wednesday - not a good idea🤨 Chardo was actually our only option because all the other restaurants close on Wednesday apparently. Anyway, my friend, who lives in Granby, had wanted to try Chardo as she had heard about it, so it worked out well. Our party of 6 was seated almost immediately. It has an interesting lunch menu but perhaps too interesting for us as we all ordered the fish and chips. It did take a little longer than expected for the food to arrive, considering it was only fish and chips, but it was close to closing time and we had been informed when we walked in that the kitchen was about to close. The food was worth waiting for. The fish was crispy and light and the fries were fresh, looked hand cut and were not oily. They do not serve ketchup😍 The food was served with very nice tartare sauce. Very nice ambience and service, but if I were to go back I would try the dinner menu.

Great food, we had the veal tartar, beef, frog legs, salad and fish&chip, they are great. The tartar is one of the best we had, the beef is very tasty and juicy. The frog leg is unbelievably good

First time here during Covid. The set-up they have is very smart to accept a large turnover of clientele. You order inside, and then seat yourself outside and someone served you your meal. They did have indoor seating options at a 2m distance as well. They have a big kitchen staff so you don’t wait long for your meal, and leave when done so don’t need to wait for any bill. The menu changes frequent from what I heard, and the dishes are made with local ingredients. Every dish we had was fresh and tasty. I would say it’s not cheap for the quantity of food, but was worth the price due to the quality. It is also a very clean place.

Went here on the recommendation of someone from Balnea spa. So happy to have found this place. It was a quiet Sunday night which allowed us to chat with the owner, the bartender and chef de cuisine. They created a wonderful evening with amazing food and orange wine. Also enjoying an impromptu tasting of local vermouths with us. The only problem was that I wanted to order everything on the menu. Thank you Anthony, Matthew and Hubert, you guys are awesome! We will be back

Great place for a glass of wine or even a bottle. I had the fish and chips and it was great. Friendly staff that described the dishes and wine. Open area with outside seating. Cozy.

Passion And Commitment. That's what I felt from the food being served here. Appetizer Fresh oyster, perfect cheese, pan-seared endives sucked in all the flavor from the pork broth Entree Pheasant cooked to perfect. Pheasants are much harder to cook than chickens. Will be very chewy and dry if over cooked. I was a bit worried when I ordered it. Dessert A 5 dollar cream brûlée like this. Did you expect that? Servers here are all very professional and so familiar with every single dish on the menu. Where the oysters are from, flavor of the beer, how the entrees are cooked etc. I won't be surprised if these food were served in downtown Montreal for double the price. A must-come restaurant in my opinion.

I came here for my birthday last weekend on a ski trip and I had high expectations since the reviews were so good both on yelp and google. We arrived at 9:15pm, originally I wanted to get the tasting menu but they told us it was too late because they close at 10pm and they need at last an hour to fulfill the whole menu. Sadly, my high expectations were not met. The dishes we chose lacked taste and texture. Out of the four dishes the cod was the best. They were told it was my birthday and they didn't even make a point to wish me a happy birthday which is strange. I would not come back here despite the stellar review..

Amazing food, quick and fantastic service. The fish and chips was to die for and their hot sauce out of this world.

Very Friendly Very friendly wine bar with a great choice of nature wines by the glass, always changing, and local beer. The dumpling entrée is a must try!
