Charoen Saeng Silom

"Stewed in a rich, aromatic gravy with Chinese herbs, the soft, caramelised pork tantalises the tastebuds, and is a Bangkok favourite. The recipe, created by the owner’s grandfather in 1959, was adapted by her father. It’s served with a homemade spicy sauce and pickles and is great value." - Michelin Inspector

Another Bangkok Michelin gem quest. Located hidden in a narrow alley, you can be noticed the stall by a crowded and long customers queue during lunch time. There's a couple minutes wait until you get seated, it is bit easy if you're alone, but maybe longer when you bring a crowd. The service was good, the staffs work deft, organized. Once you get seated, your order delivered fast. Their braised pork trotters is amazing, sweet and smells good with herbs aroma. The meat was so tender that you need no effort to execute it. The portion quiet small but indeed satisfying. Highly recommended.

Another place that google reviews must try. Then i here to try it. Is at small alley just right across State Tower Bangkok. The too Kar ( pig trotter) is superb. Is soft just melt in your mouth. But the base is a more sweet type. NOT my type OF TASTE. But when you eat together with their homemade chilli 🌶 , the flavourful taste exploded. The chillies are very hot. Everyone has it taste buds. It's not bad and worth trying . Alot of local diner and grab orders that never stop.. It also deserves a Michelin Guide.

Excellent taste. The softness of the pig trotter just melts in your mouth. Located in an alley just opposite the main entrance of Lebua. only 5 hours daily, from 8am to 1pm.

Small place inside the alley which opens early and sells out fast. If you want to try their amazing stewed knuckles, legs, and trotters, you may need to adjust your breakfast schedule. The meat is incredibly tender and just melts off the bone - and don’t let the skin scare you away! Mild sweet stew with herb and vegetable scent. Recommended place to visit.

The pig 🐖 trotter was very soft and full of collagen. The one we have in SG, the trotter meat was firm, as compared to the trotter in this stall, the meat come apart without any strength. Remember to try the sweet & sour chili sauce, as it goes well with the rice 🍚 and meat 🍖 Enjoy 😉.

I like the soft/ collagen-y skin of the pig trotter, quite different from the firm ones we have in Singapore. There is a huge layer of fats under the skin as expected, I scrapped them off before eating the skin. The meat is alright (not as tender as I expected) and rather sweet (understandable, it's Thailand). The sweet/ sour chili with garlic goes very well with rice and trotter. Fuss free ordering (limited items with translation). I managed to get generous coriander top up upon request. Looks like the place is popular among tourists as the diners all around me are tourists

Stewed pork leg rice is quite good and worth to try , it’s very soft and full of gravy in the meat . The highlight is the thai garlic chilli sauce , must have item when you having this dish . But not easy to reach and you may call a grab to get there .

Tasty braised pork trotter, stewed till soft and falls off the bones. Gotta order the pork skin and pork intestines too! Paired with the tangy chilli, Can take many bowls of rice with it!!
