Went here for our anniversary, little confusing on which part to enter but got it straightened out fine. Service was great, our server had great recommendations, chips and salsa we really good, i would suggest keeping the salsa for the main dish. The steak was done very nicely. Bacon wrapped shrimp were very tasty. The dessert was excellent.

This was our first visit to Charro Steak, we dined there for my husband's birthday. The Happy Hour specials are worth going early for. We had the oysters all 3 ways. They were fresh and delicious. For our main course we had the prime rib and filet with additional sides of macaroni and cheese as well as the corn. Both were very good, probably the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. The alcohol menu is varied and the cocktails very unique. Highly recommend.

Not sure why we didn’t try Charro Steak & Del Rey sooner — but wow, we’ve been missing out! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. We kicked things off with the table-side guacamole, made fresh right in front of us and paired with warm, bottomless tortilla chips. A perfect start. For dinner, I had the dry-aged Rib-eye, cooked to a flawless medium. One bite and it didn’t stand a chance — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the Filet, and it was just as impressive: buttery soft and seared to perfection. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality and care in both the food and service make it more than worth it. Charro Steak is officially in our top tier — and we’ll be back soon.

Google
Superb steak! It's in the top five across the US for me (El Gouchos in Seattle, St. Elmos in Indy, Golden Steer in Vegas, Bern's in Tampa). I'd like a few more options of things to add to the tableside guacamole, but I still recommend it. It's delicious. Also, the salsa is fire-roasted perfection. Their seafood is on point as well! If you have the means and like the menu, it's a must when visiting Tucson.

Google
Lovely place downtown for happy hour! $5 sangria, beers, margs. The sangria was absolutely delicious especially on a hot summer day. Service is great. Our bartender was attentive and friendly! The prickly pear albóndigas are my favorite. The meat is lean but the sauce is rich and has a kick to it. The charro burger is humongous and so juicy. I also recommend the charro dry aged prime rib. It’s so tender and melts in your mouth. The mashed potato on the side is also very good.

Google
The food was absolutely insane. We came for my husband's birthday, so we ordered quite a bit. The lobster queso had soooo much lobster in it and it was delicious. I ordered the Alaskan king crab legs and he got the prime rib. The crab legs were mind blowing and he really enjoyed the prime rib. You can't find king crab easily in Tucson so this was a huge treat. We were too full to eat the sides we ordered. They sent us home with a free dessert for his birthday, we got the lava cake and he loved it. 10/10, will definitely be back again! Also, the crab legs were definitely fairly priced! Lovely birthday dinner. :)

One of the best Mexican style restaurants I've been to period! The surf and turf enchiladas are amazing here. If you are in the area and want good Mexican food, go here and give it a try, it shouldn't disappoint!

Google
Charro Steak & Del Rey in downtown Tucson delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. I ordered the dry-aged ribeye, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. It was my first time having steak served with beans, and to my surprise, they complemented each other beautifully. My daughter went with the filet mignon topped with lobster, and it was equally impressive—rich, tender, and bursting with flavor. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed for a memorable meal. Adding to the already warm and inviting atmosphere, there was live guitar music during dinner, which really elevated the ambience. All in all, Charro Steak & Del Rey is a fantastic spot in Tucson if you’re looking for quality food, excellent service, and a relaxed yet refined setting. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Ok, so I am lucky to be part of this effort and that means certain perks. I was present when the chefs from Charro Steak did a full meat cutting the other day looking for new ranches and suppliers for their beef program. Wow! I can't believe the difference that grass fed meat provides a menu like this. The nuances of texture, marbling, and flavor are mind boggling. It is a serious process and one that this team takes to heart. I hope you all get a chance to check out this restaurant and the upcoming second location. No beef about it, these steaks are just different (and better).

Yelp
The food here is quite delicious and excellent; but the service is not high quality. The servers are kind and friendly; but the actual table experience is irritating. In very nice establishments you expect your plates to be cleared off when you and your party are finished. We had appetizer plates just sitting at our table and then salad and mains came out; but no one cleared any of the plates. It was just a table full of empty plates which is quite uncomfortable when you're trying to sit down and have a good dinner. Our friends were in town from NY and they noted this too. Super unusual. It makes me wish I took them to Flemings because service there is impeccable. This may be a staff training issue generally though because we've have the same type of experience at El Charro (the original). I just miss the good ol' days when people cared about taking care of the tables with some skill. Back in the day I worked at Athens on 4th and I know that generally restaurants are way understaffed now but I look to these local staples and spinoffs by the El Charro group to bring back those high standards of our classic establishments that we all loved and miss. They just seem to be missing the mark on service nowadays and I hope they turn it around.

Yelp
We decided to grab a bite after a show in DT. The decoration is outstanding and their service top notch. We ordered the Carne Asada that came with tortillas and a side of beans. The meat was tender, flavorful and well cooked. The tortillas were a little sweet for my taste so didn't had any. For drinks we opted for a margarita and the bartender recommended to have it with their sponsor tequila calle "Insólito", it was a solid margarita.

Yelp
Charro Steak and Del Rey is having THE most amazing promotion! They're offering $100 gift cards BOGO! That means you can get HALF off dining which blows my mind! There are very few restrictions, like they can't be used for the gratuity or on July 24/25 but I think that's about it. Oh there's a $500 limit per visit too (double check that one for accuracy) but c'mon! Since when is fine dining SO down to earth?! Talk about taking care of your community! The food, the service, the atmosphere WOWzers! Always! If I am looking for a SURE fire, great meal, Charro Steak and Del Rey is MY go-to....... And with this promotion I hope it becomes yours as well......

Yelp
I have for come here for awhile and continue to enjoy coming here. The food is usually good however the service and food of late has been inconsistent. Management disinterested etc. and non-responsive when there was a problem. Due to the non-responsiveness we have not come as often. However today was a total different story. Food was excellent. The only thing I would add is with the filet, it does crave a sauce. While perfectly cooked, nicely charred with the wood, a sauce would be nice. The service was the best I have seen ever at this establishment. There was no hesitation to take care of the customers and respond when there might be a problem. Beyond taking care of issues, the service was flawless. Today was a good day! Look forward to continued customer service and good food more frequently now!

Yelp
1st off, Avi was our Waiter. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE from start to finish!! You need to *Clone* this gentleman. APPS were outstanding! Ahi Asada Tostada, Escargot. However, the Ceasar Salad for (2) needs work, sorry. It should be a creamy dressing, not a vinegar/oil along with sliced cheese small pieces as opposed to shredded. Lobster Tamalada was out of this world!! Steak cooked to perfection. We were a table of 4. The other 2 meals are shown in Pics. Desserts were Champagne fried strawberries to cake!! We will ALL be back! Having live guitar music really gave beautiful ambiance. Thanks everyone!!

Yelp
Decided to take some out of town visitors to Charro Steak & Del Rey for and we were really excited to give them a taste of Tucson with a Si Charro Concept. Made a reservation weeks in advance because we had an event down the street scheduled for two hours after our Charro Steak/Del Rey reservation. Getting seated was a terrible experience and the food was just okay. Showed up to Charro Steak to be told we needed to go over to Del Rey (not sure how they decide where you're seated) only to get told 15 minutes after our reservation time that it was going to be a long wait. I talked to (what I can only assume was their management team) about us having an event coming up, and they said the kitchen was full and food would take 35-40 minutes even if they sat us. No apologies from their team, just basically told us it wasn't their fault. Not too long after they did end up seating us, but the whole meal took a while as they outlined. Food was fine, ordered some sides the chicken, filet, and pork chop. We all agreed we'd had better from other local restaurants. After we paid and ordered dessert, they forgot and we had to find their team to remind them about it after 15 minutes. Rushed to eat our dessert and finally left just shy of 10 minutes before our event. Between the less than ideal interactions with their team and the food, we won't be back. Not sure of the purpose of making reservations they can't accommodate. If you're planning to be somewhere after, find another downtown restaurant.

Yelp
Just like I judge my breakfast spots on their corned beef hash, I judge my mexican restaurants based on their carne asada. I can honestly say that this was hands down, the best that I have had in my 47 years. Great vibe, great service and excellent food and drink. Mark a five star for me.

Yelp
Couldn't be more confused with negative reviews for this place. Talk about a goldmine in the middle of Tuscan. This place is flat out FIRE. We got multiple dishes from the albóndigas, mushrooms, steaks and it was INCREDIBLE. The service was solid. The atmosphere is great as well. They had some live music going and it wasn't aggressively loud like some places usually have it. Stop in if your in the area. Cheers!

Yelp
Walking up I was quickly getting excited as I watched people coming out rubbing their bellies, moaning, and saying that was so good! Ok, game on! Open the door! Ha. My first night I sat in the quieter side, as they have 2 sides... they put me near the front window at a 2 seater. My waiter was Domingo and he was my kind of person. Energetic and helpful. I got the pork chop and I wasn't disappointed one bit. Wow! It was so tasty and perfect. After having this I decided to go back the next night and try the other side of the restaurant. On the 2nd night. It is a bit noisier but not much. There was a really good guitar player setting the mood with tons of large tables of people. So yeah, ambience was escalated but it was enjoyable. I had their aged prime rib. Ummm. I want it again. I sat at the bar and had many people waiting on me so I can't just call one person out. They were all great and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
First thing to know, is that is very smoky in this restaurant. If you have any sort of breathing issues, I would probably skip going. As a vegan, there was one main course vegan option, it was done really well and I didn't miss the fact that I didn't have any other option. It was tamales and a really fresh little salad. My friends really enjoyed their meat dishes. It is very loud in here as well, it's not the best ambience but it's a good place to meet up with some friends.

Yelp
Food was great. Got the tomahawk steak and it was amazing. The server Anatoly was an amazing person and our drinks were never empty! The place had an amazing layout and overall a great spot. Definitely would recommend!!

Yelp
We had dinner at the steakhouse before a show. We really like the food and the service. Steak - so darn good. Flavorful and MR just as requested. Ceviche - Nice firm Ahi and the sauce was great. Refreshing. Service - Hayley stayed on top of things. She was helpful, friendly, attentive. I'd have given 5 Stars, but we were seated in the bar right behind the guy playing guitar and his speaker. There were tables that never filled in the dining room the entire time we were eating. So it isn't plausible that they were saving those tables for other reservations.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night and despite being busy the service was great and the food was delicious. The vibes on Friday night were great. It's a very nice and elegant looking restaurant. The servers and hosts had good energy and we didn't wait long for our food.

Yelp
How about 10 stars? Why, oh why, is this restaurant's overall rating not a 4+? I regret that after living in Tucson for 14 years, I just now get around to trying this restaurant. And sadly, now I'm moving out of state. This was among The Best meal I have had in Tucson! Everything was perfecto. I had the carne asada (steak). It comes out as a steak cut. So tender. So flavorful. Mouth-watering delicious! My wife had the Mesquite Grilled Pollo Asada. Superb! Flavorful and moist. I then had a Abuela's Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert. Oh my! Perfect balance of flavors. So a friend wanted to go out for dessert to visit before I moved, so we picked here because of the dessert menu. I came early and was hungry, so I ordered the carne asada again. Heaven! In July, the desserts are all only $5 (except the Sample Board) so we ordered the Abuela's Chocolate Lava Cake, Salted Caramel Flan, and Salted Caramel Flan. Yes, over the top fantastic! The flan is SO creamy, I think the best I've had in Tucson. My friend is not a flan fan, but she absolutely loved it! Then one of the managers came to check on us and we conversed about the desserts. He asked if we tried the Champagne Fried Strawberries. We hadn't. He started to describe them. Oh my goodness. Our waitress came by with the bill and we said to add an order ot the strawberries. A few moments later, the manager came by with a half order of the strawberries for us to try! Then we received our full order! Of course we polished them off! The service here is good, they pay attention to you but are not intrusive. Actually the service is great. When I visit Tucson again, I'm coming here, no doubt! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Yelp
Incredible dinner at Charro Steak & Del Rey. Outstanding service from Rochelle. She was professional and made our experience very enjoyable. My husband and I started with oysters from Maine and Canada. I love how Charro has up to 4 rotational selections of oysters. Great innovation and experience for guests! Ahi Ceviche was good. I'd recommend cutting the ahi smaller for easier bite sizes. There were slightly too big. My husband was a gentleman to cut them smaller. Best cocktails to have is the El Maestro Cuco and Julian Drew's Silver Cadillac! Refreshing Margaritas! Last but not least, the steaks! I don't think I ever had the most delicious, perfectly cooked prime rib. Every bite was amazing. The bark was beautiful! I usually enjoy my steaks rare but for prime rib it is best as medium-rare and highly recommend! My husband's T-bone was like butter! Melts in your mouth and you are able to taste everything there is. Incredibly cooked! Enjoy our meals with charred, cream corn and roasted asparagus spears. Great pair! Charro serves all tables with beans and the Prime Rib includes green chile mashed potatoes. Overall experience at Charro was 10/10. Love the ambiance and good location in downtown Tucson.

Yelp
One of our favorite date night spots!! Ambiance is great! We went on a Sunday night and they had live music! Love the table side guacamole and the carne asada. Ranch water is a perfect beverage if you don't like your drinks sweet like me. Can't wait to try some oysters at our next trip!

Yelp
I came here for dinner with a group Saturday night, and most of the food was disappointing. The filet, halibut, and tamale were all too salty. The ahi tostada was very plain. The trout was delicious, but the accompanying veggies were also too salty. The chile verde mac and cheese was really good. I really enjoyed the Pom Patron cocktail--it was well balanced. It was also really cold in the restaurant as well.

Yelp
Update: We couldn't stop thinking about those champagne fried strawberries! Went back the next night and ordered them again (and we never go to the same place twice when traveling) . My bf summed it up perfectly when he said "whoever thought of this is a culinary genius!" The best thing we ate in week in Arizona! -------------------------------------------- Yes! Our best meal in Tucson! Everything we ordered was on point. You must get the carne asada! It is so full of flavor, tender and juicy. We inhaled the perfectly cooked medium rare skirt steak. It also came with frijoles and your choice of tortillas. We also got the scallop agua chile which was refreshing, sweet, and tangy. All the flavors and textures intermingled perfectly. This was a winner too. Don't sleep on the chile verde mac and cheese which was unique, cheesy and comforting. Already full, we wavered on dessert. There were several interesting items, but we settled on the champagne fried strawberries. OMG! Fantastic! Juicy, sweet strawberries in a super light batter and tossed with some cinnamon and sugar with creme anglaise on the side. It sounds rich, but was actually light and the perfect sweet end to the meal. Carlos was our server and he was excellent! Loved the ambiance here too. 5 stars all around!

Yelp
Traveling solo on a recreational trip stopped in here on January 1, 2025. Great way to start my new year. The ambience is very cozy, downtown Tucson is fun. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Decor is relaxed. Nice menu with many choices. Some important points I was taught by the wait staff : The beef is from grass fed cattle. All the seafood is from sustainable producers. I went with a ribeye and absolutely loved it. It was cooked to perfection of my choice, medium rare. I had a very reasonably priced red temporary wine to accompany. Price matched the quality of this excellent food.

Excellent restaurant service staff for personable service and food was great. The car was too busy and was not a fan of being forgotten to being attended.

Yelp
I'm really sorry but this is my worst visit yet. I use to love there food and service! I also loved there service. We had a group of 6. The bills was very expensive (close to 800 for all of us) and it's really annoying I have been waiting for a return call from GM to talk about the service and the fact the forced us to leave tip for 20% even though our group size was only 6 and not the 8 required on mandatory 20% tip. We would habe left over 20% if service was great and food matched service. I was told the GM would reach out to me, I haven't heard nothing. The fact is, I'm a pretty great tipper. However, the service wasn't great nor was the food great. We had issues with both. Firstly, I ordered the Rib Eye. I also ask for a side of butter, I like to add butter to my steak while cutting LIKE steak sauce. I was flabbergasted when I noticed they charged me and another person in my party 8 dollars for butter. $4 each. I really don't like at all to be nickle and dimed when you're charging $55 AND $69 for his steak. No sides just the steak. All sides are so separate. Which im fine with but make sure everything is right! My husband ordered the Prime Rib ,this bothered me and him. They took the order and as someone else's steaks in our group was arriving the waiter said "I have bad news, we are out of Prime Rib). My husband is very picky about read meat. I ask if I could look at a menu to try to help him out. This clearly annoyed our waiter. He said Yes, however, I just had a table come in let me great them and get them set up. He said when I'm finished I will come back. So, about 9 minutes later he was back. So, we all had our meal at this point. He ordered the Bone in Stripe Medium. I explained we are all very particul on our cooks on our meats. I ask that they let the chef know. So, the can make cooks are right. Finally, I told them I'm very very allergic to Shell Fish and please make sure my food isn't cooked around or stored with shell fish. So, let me explain. There was a lot of issues. We we mentioned then waiter all the issues just said sorry. I did talk to hostess and she said she would have store manager call that hasn't happen yet. Firstly, the brought my steak stacked in the same hand with someone elese food at my table with a ton of shell fish on his plate. (I asked him to keep my food away from shell fish. Yes, i can eat at same table but it shouldnt be handled together. It was stacked on his arm my food and the steak and shrip right above mine) It gave me major anxiety. Let's start with the mandatory tip they made us pay of 20%. We had a group of 6 not 8. Also, we had a number of issues with service like drinks not being filled up, or missing items never showing up, no follow up after letting them know meat wasn't cooked properly. The most annoying not following up why they charged us mandatory 20% meant for parties of 8 not 6. Also, no one should require a party to tip a certain amount if they are not happy with service. Let's start with my food. I ordered medium rare. It came out RARE and cold. It's was still mooing. It was purple red and cold. My husband's steak was supposed to be medium. It's was closer to medium rare. My Aunt request Medium Rare and and it was medium well. Finally, my cousins both there steaks were great. We ordered two sides of potatoes only one showed up (they did fix after notice.) My aunt ordered Salad again they forgot but they fixed. Lastly, it was impossible to get refills. I feel like the waiter knew he was get a 20% tip on this tabel and focused else where. I really hope manager calls me back or they will never get our service again. We love this resturant. However, if this stands we won't be back. Now, some of photos below are from previous visits. You will see we have been here alot. Yelp said I have checked in 10 times. This was the worst. Let's see if they actually call me back like promised. I didnt want to take down happy photos. You will also be able to read our higher reviews.

Yelp
Incredible dinner this evening at charro steak! I had the mushrooms appetizer and they were the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had; full of flavor, bold, and hot which is appreciated. The salmon was a large meaty piece, cooked perfectly, extremely fresh and bright and flavorful. My server was attentive and kind. The restaurant was beautiful, and had a great atmosphere.

Yelp
Make sure to go early if you don't have a reservation as we did not and we're seated right away, but guests that came in later needed one. We had two servers for the dinner and they both were great - never had to ask for refills or anything. My husband opted for the dry aged ribeye and I got a filet. We shared an order of mashed potatoes and then got the sampler dessert. The pumpkin tamal was out of this world. If you're looking for a cute date night place with great food that has a chic steakhouse feel, this is your place.

Yelp
I stopped in on 12/26/24 at 7:30pm just try their unique version of Escargot which is topped with Carne Asada. It was the most unique style I've ever encountered & it was great. Servers Sydney & Kate were very pleasant & enjoyable as I sat at the full service bar with a couple next to me enjoying a hearty steak dinner. They had a pretty good looking menu & a decent selection of traditional artesenal Tequila's & Mezcal's which they offer flights of. The ambiance was nice, lots of mesquite wood stacked up inside for their grill & other antique items. I really liked seeing & hearing the staff interact amongst themselves which gave me the impression they all loved working there. No one ever stopped to look at their phone, they all kept busy at tasks yet no one seemed too busy or hurried. I'll be back to sample more from their menu in the near future. Photo of the escargot might not be that appetizing but it was flavorful & well prepared nonetheless.

Yelp
This was our first experience at this establishment so we didn't quite know what to expect on June 27 2025. We arrive 5 minutes prior to our reservation a 5:10. We were told we needed to go to the other part of the restaurant which was a short walk don the street. We were told the other dining room had the same menu with a slightly different ambiance. It did have the same menu but the ambiance was definitely not the same. The chairs were metal with no padding, the booth we sat in were benches with straight high backs and the table too small for four people. Not comfortable for a steak house where the steak are $50 - $100. The food was good and the service was acceptable. Beware...when making a reservation make sure you tell that you want to be in the main dining area. Also the steak while good was not as good as other high end steak houses. Next time I'll make the steak at home and do a better job then they did and stick to the sea food which was vey good.

Yelp
We stopped in for a late night reservation. I'm so glad we did. My partner had the burger and fries and added on grass fed chorizo. It was delicious all around. I ordered the aqua chili from the appetizer menu and enjoyed it as a meal. I also ordered the Michelada. And it was by far the best Michelada I have ever had in this town and I have had my fair share. Other members of my table got the special. It was an $80 steak, but they shared it and thought it was delicious. Overall for quality of food and ambience and our wait staff was superb. I would come here again and again

Yelp
We ate here as part of our anniversary weekend. We were so excited because the beef is grass fed and grilled on mesquite which is our absolute favorite! The restaurant was beautiful and smelled amazing! A mix of rustic, Mexican, and cowboy style all in one. We made reservations and thankful we did cause they got really busy. Highly recommend making the reservation on their site. We order the aguas chiles for an appetizer. It was good but I would probably recommend something else. It wasn't bad, just not amazing. We would pass on it next time. My husband ordered the ribeye and I order the carne asada. They were beyond delicious!! Tender!! The carne asada was so tender!! Order it!! Just do it. Definitely recommend this place. Make sure you prepare to walk. The parking situation is crazy by the restaurant. They have their own parking lot but it will get full. So be prepared to find parking elsewhere.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a number of years and just never got around to it. Located in the heart of downtown Tucson And does not disappoint. The service was impeccable. The waitress made outstanding recommendations as it was our first time visiting. Everything was high-quality and the fish / seafood super fresh. My meat was cooked to perfection - my Carne Asada, adding cheese and peppers made absolutely mouthwatering tacos with corn tortillas! The oysters we ordered as appetizers were fresh and they had multiple varieties to choose from. I'm told the seafood is flown in fresh several times a week so there's no issue with quality. Champagne strawberries were absolutely magical. I'm not sure how to describe them. It was almost a little bit like a light churro covering delicious fresh strawberries with a sweet champagne base dipping sauce. It was absolutely delicious. When it comes to prices, this place is no bargain. With a couple of drinks expect to spend close to $75 a person all said and done. That said it was well worth price and I'd be happy to one day.

Yelp
This is a great date night spot downtown. The vibes are great it's close to everything downtown for a pre dinner drink or a night cap. Without reservations on a Saturday night we waited about 45 mins for a party of 6. Once seated the service was amazing. We ordered the nightly specials which was a bone in rib eye with a stuffed chili and 3 shrimp. It was cooked to perfection . We got mushrooms and escargot as appetizers and they were both phenomenal. Can't wait to come back

Yelp
This place seems to be a favorite around the university of Arizona. Got a table reserved for parents weekend. The service was excellent and the environment was great. Really liked the little candles they have lit at all the tables, although ours did die out about halfway through our dining experience. The food looked very good although I wasn't thrilled with the surf and turf enchiladas. Would probably order something else next time. The rest of the people in my party really enjoyed their meals however.

Yelp
Excellent service! Our first time here was for our aunt's birthday and they did not disappoint. From the hosts when we arrived to the server Griffin and the manager Jackson, everyone went above and beyond. We are so impressed with the service, food, and ambience. Definitely a Tucson gem for dinner and we can't wait to be back. Thank you Charro staff for a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Took the family out while visiting Tucson, tried this spot downtown. Made reservations, table was ready upon arrival. Friendly Staff all the way around, from Hostesses to our Waitress. Upscale vibe with plenty of seating, nice lighting, and decor. Menu covers a lot with meat & seafood options. Our waitress walked us through giving us tips and recommendations. We were also started with chips & salsa. I am not a big fan of the sides not being part of the meal option except for my Prime Rib, which came with mashed potatoes. All the other main dishes did not come with any choice of sides. You had to order individually. Overall, we all enjoyed our choices and the sides we selected. It's a little pricey for our taste based on what we are used to in the DC area, but when in Rome.

Yelp
The guacamole is hands down the best quac I've had. The service was excellent. We got there early, so initially, the sound level was perfect. But as they got busier, the sound level was high. Everyone loved their food except me. While the Mac and Cheese with Chili Verde was amazing, the Ahi Ceviche was weird. The flavor was good but it was basically a soup. The chucks of Ahi were large. It's just not really Ceviche, which I love and always order when it's on the menu. I was very disappointed. The other sticking point is parking. They're is no designated parking, at least that I could find. I drove around for 15+ minutes to finally snag street parking. I took a party of 8 - half of which were customers. Thankfully, their offices were nearby so they didn't have to find parking.

Yelp
Friendly service and delicious steak. The chips and salsa were a nice bonus. Nice ambiance for a Friday night; everyone was super friendly to my service dogs. Recommend the steak and Brussels, pass on the shrimp add-on

Yelp
Second visit. The waiter, Jesus, was friendly and food was good. The table side guacamole for $11.95 is good but the salsa is excellent! We ordered brussels sprouts ($11) and mashed potatoes with, green chilies ($10). Brussels sprouts were really good. We would probably skip the mashed potatoes next time as we didn't realize our meal came with either beans and or rice and beans. The beans were OK but mine were undercooked, and my husbands were overcooked. The surf and turf enchiladas Bandoleros was good, but I only liked truly one of the enchiladas out of the three and that was the shrimp in the green sauce ($29.95). I didn't like the lobster enchilada in the white sauce and the beef enchilada was just too overdone in red sauce. My husband's Carne Asada ($39.95). was cooked perfectly, tender, and flavorful. It is probably what I would order next time even though I usually come here for seafood. We ended the meal with a delightful Dulceria Sampler board of deserts definitely worth ($24.95) and the hazelnut tamale was fabulous served warm and then with the cold ice cream and cold milk. Yum. My husband even liked the PB&J cake and of course his normal flan. He said he would definitely go back just for that tamale.

Yelp
Still has great Mexican themed Steak and Sea Food! Del Rey and Steak house are the same menu all in the busy Downtown area. When you RSVP, and you should in the evening, you might be seated on either side, and both have outdoor seating. I prefer the Steak house side, seems more formal and more room on the patio, and usually live music in the evening. The Del Rey side has a tight patio and seems a little more casual. Both have full bars! If you have a preference, try to make it clear in your RSVP or when you arrive. It is a popular spot, and the steak choices are great (and everything can be pricey). Sometimes I will opt for a pork or chicken or the carne asada steak if I am trying to save. All the food is good, but steak and salmon are the main choices. I also love the Ahi. The sides and appetizers are always good additions. They have their own special drinks, usually tequila based, and they are worth trying out, many have some soda or sparkling drink added. My go to is always the house margarita, the do not do any frozen drinks all on the rocks.

Yelp
Hello This is one of our go to places for anniversaries and birthdays the carnivores in the family love the steaks and lobster, for the rest of us plant based folks they have the hola hemp tamales and sides like roasted asparagus, Brussels sprouts, guacamole, rice and beans which are delicious. FYI the charred Brussels sprouts are "charred" . Prices mid to upper for Tucson. Parking is limited in the street but there is a parking garage and a lot close by (if they're open). Drinks/bar in have no idea. Non-drinker.

Yelp
Delicious! Fresh, tasty seafood! We split the seafood tower (market pricing) and everything was so good! There were 6 of us and enough seafood for everyone to enjoy as an appetizer! I had the Brazino Veracruz and it was so tasty! The fish was deliciously prepared, as was the shrimp. The menu is clearly labeled with which items are gluten free, which is SO helpful! My only 'downside' would be the sangria. It tasted watered down- I didn't even taste red wine- just watery fruit and berries? I had their Pinot noir though and it was good. Be sure to make reservations- it was busy but food and drinks came out fast. The server did a great job. Fun, trendy restaurant with great food!

Yelp
If you like quality steak and quality Mexican food you should like this place. The steaks are grass fed from Myers Ranch in Montana. I had a bone in New York steak cooked over a fire. It had wonderful flavor. My wife had their burger and it also had amazing flavor. Servers were friendly service was great. If going on a weekend evening probably best to get a reservation.

Yelp
The service was 5 stars. We got seated within minutes. Gabby was our hostess and made us feel special immediately with the table by the window and shared her favorite specialties from the menu. We loved the food and the superb service we received. We tried the dry aged prime rib and the lobster enchiladas and give them 5 stars!! Make this your go to when coming to Tucson. We come every trip and usually twice a weekend!

We had our Anniversary dinner here and everything was amazing! Great staff and great food. I highly recommend the lobster queso...so good. The patio was fun and we enjoyed the lively downtown vibe on a Saturday night. Keep it up Charro fam!

Yelp
I went here a couple weeks ago with my husband and had a lovely time. We were initially going elsewhere downtown when we saw this restaurant and decided to change plans. I did feel that the menu was lacking a little bit and on the smaller side, however as a seafood and steak restaurant I know i probably should not complain, as it had what it was supposed to have. I'm not big on steak but it has recently been growing on me. I ordered carne asada and felt it did have great flavor as the server described...the leftovers not so much). My husband ordered the enchilada that came with three different meats. That was excellent! The service was amazing and I believe the manager and maybe even the chef came by our table to check on us. The restaurant is beautiful and I think split into 3 different spaces throughout the block. I'm not sure if they're different menus but it's definitely cool.
