Chashu Ramen + Izakaya

Went here for a nicer date night out. We expected a little more given the high ratings. The atmosphere was great, service was quick and kind. The small plates were delicious, but we were a bit disappointed with the ramen. The chicken was quite dry and bland. Wish they had a seafood option that had broth. I definitely recommend doing more small plates with your order.

My wife & I went for Valentines and our server Katie was amazing! The food was awesome!! I had the shoyu ramen & my spouse has the spicy bulgogi ramen, mine was rich and savory and the noodles had the perfect chew and the bulgogi was perfectly spicy with a great depth of flavor that didnt get lost in spice. Dessert was the creamy ube cheesecake which was unreal, a creamy smooth, almost sweetened coffee-like flavor with the little added pop of sweetness from the lychee. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to get amazing elevated Asian food! Bonus points for the quintessential 90s and 2000s anime on the TVs!

The food here was absolutely amazing!!!! We ordered some sushi to start and it was just incredible, good flavor and taste. The spicy miso pork ramen was to die for. Perfect balance of spice and flavor , nothing too crazy but very good. Will definitely be coming here again, and if possible I’d want Katie as a server again. She’s super sweet and created a nice welcoming atmosphere. I really enjoyed talking with her.

Stopped here before going to a show at Hanover Theater. The atmosphere is delightful. The service was wonderful and the food arrived quickly. The meal and cocktails were all made with a touch of excellence.

Stopped by on a Saturday around noon and had a great meal! The two of us were easily seated, as the restaurant is spacious with a variety of tables for different party sizes. We placed our orders and got our food not long after. I ordered the Abura Ramen, which is exactly what I was hoping for in a broth-less ramen. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the textures were great as well. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Food was absolutely delicious! There were a lot of flavors in each bite (not sure how to explain this). Anyways the portions of each meal were large. The app was delicious! If you’re in the area, definitely stop in for a bite, come hungry!

This is a perfect date spot. Interesting drinks, beautifully plated dishes, lots of options, great flavors. The restaurant is bright and very clean. Servers are extremely attentive. Sushi, ramen, and appetizers. Make a reservation because it can get busy. I will definitely be back!

We made a reservation for a post Worcester Symphony Orchestra concert dinner at Chashu Ramen & Izakaya, which was a short walk from the historic Mechanics Hall venue. It boasted many good Yelp reviews, an interesting menu and we were looking forward to a good meal. It was surprisingly busy for a Sunday night, as we arrived a little early for our reservation. The hostess told us a table would be ready in a few minutes, and about 5 minutes later, she offered us a choice of a table by the window, or one further back near the kitchen. No brainer, we sat next to the window. Our waiter, who was excellent throughout the dinner, arrived quickly, answered a few questions about since this was our first time here, and took our order. We selected: * SCORCHING SALMON $16: Sliced salmon, fried shallots, citrus sauce, lightly torched with a herb flame. * SALMON (sake) $11 * SALMON MAKI $10.50 * Beef Tenderloin Skewer $5: Garlic herb butter * (2) Shrimp Skewer $5: Tare glaze, charred lemon, togarashi * Gyoza $11: Seared chicken & pork dumplings, house-made dipping sauce, togarashi * Eggplant $8: Grilled, teriyaki glaze, scallion oil, fried shallots My co-diner's dinner was comprised of the appetizer plates, and she was very impressed. She said the Eggplant dish was fabulous. I sampled the Beef Tenderloin (tasty), the Gyoza (delicious), the Shrimp (also tasty) while consuming some excellent sashimi and sushi. The Scorching Salmon is torched at the table, a fun and delicious dish. Candidly, I'd order any or all of these upon my return, which is guaranteed after such an excellent dinner. Total cost with two glasses of wine was $122 with tip (note that portions are on the smaller side).

Came here as a group of 4 on a Saturday for dinner and it was jammed packed. Luckily we made a reservation so we didn't have to wait too long. Our waitress was super friendly and made sure to check up on us periodically. We got some orders of shrimp tempura rolls which were . I'm a huge fan of fried chicken so when I saw that they double fry their chicken, I knew I had to get it. Chicken was crispy however the flavors did not come through for me as much as I would have liked. I got the hakata ramen which was good but not the best. My wife got the abura ramen and it was better than my dish. FOOD: 7/10 SERVICE: 9/10 Recommendation: Drinks are strong so if you want to get lit, this is the spot

My main issue with Chashu was how bland the food was. When I suggested to my friends that we get some ramen, we all agreed. I wanted some comfort food and one of my friends had a cold and though ramen might help her feel better, but the food ended up not being very comforting at all. Our server was decently nice, and the restaurant was decently cozy, but once she brought us our appetizers, I was immediately disappointed with our under-seasoned order of "woo-stir-fried edamame" and extremely vinegary, but still bland, "tofu woo". The entrées unfortunately followed this trend of tastelessness. After receiving my bowl of "spicy red miso" tonkotsu ramen, I though maybe this would be better then the appetizers, but I was wrong. Upon having my first taste of the broth, I picked up on what I can only describe as the taste of microwaved meat. Not to say the least, I did not finish that bowl of ramen.

We love chashu! We have been coming here for years and have tried so many different things from their menu, as it changes seasonally and there have been several new additions. We have always loved the ghost ramen and the pork belly bao buns, but are also fans of the brothless spicy bulgogi beef ramen, which is so delicious. The sushi menu is also always amazing, and the nigiri combo set has always been a favorite of mine. Each piece is so uniquely created with so much attention and thought. Lastly the ever changing dessert menu is always such an exciting treat, and we have gotten to try so many different things because of this. Cannot recommend this spot more!

A great ramen restaurant in central Mass, with a variety of food options, unique drinks, and fun ambiance. I've gone to Chashu about a dozen or so times. One of the most unique/fun aspects of the restaurant is the art on the walls and that they have anime playing on the TV at the bar. Some of my favorite menu items include the lychee martini, spicy edamame, the abura mazeman, as well as all of their desserts. In terms of service, it is often packed there and can be difficult to get a table or even get a seat at the bar. Out of all the ramen places in the area, I am preferential towards the Wooden Bar. But Chashu is a close runner up.

Got here at 12 on a Saturday and got seated right away. Parking meters everywhere but no free parking unless it's Sunday around the area. Ambiance: 5/5 except it's freezing cold inside!!! Cozy seatings and spacious. Friendly servers and pretty good timing with appetizer and main course. Ox onigiri on the special menu: 2/5 Mushrooms and ox filling .... I mean they were barely there... just a pan seared rice with some mild flavor or mushrooms and savory sauce inside. Other layer of the Crispy rice was yummy. $12??? Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Ramen: 5/5 Spicy red miso: all the ingredients were there. Presentation was excellent. Noodles Al Dente and pipping hot broth. Broth could be a bit more since there were a lot of toppings. Thick and flavorful. $4 added on the chashu was great coz they were thin slices and torched! Charred chashu perfectly!!! Around 8 thin slices! Great value! Best of all was the ramen soy marinaded egg!!! Finished the entire bowl and nothing was left behind!! Not even a drop of broth!!! Ramen was the best this time... I mean I have been coming for a couple of years now. I hope the consistency of the food especially ramen will continue!

A friend and I had a wonderful experience here! Service was quick and efficient, even for our ramen/udon entrees, especially for a Friday night when the restaurant was quite busy. Our waitress was awesome and gave us enough time to ourselves while still checking in with us. Highly recommend the mango sago, it absolutely exceeded my expectations and tasted incredible!!

Great restaurant to visit in the evening for some good eatin'. Gets pretty busy here in the evening--especially on the weekends. We had a large party so it's helpful to call ahead. Their opentable can only reserve a small party. They were very accommodating for our party. Felt rushed by the staff though since the restaurant got a bit busy... but we were still eating. I still haven't finished my meal and they had already offered to take it away. We had ordered desert and they didn't even bother bringing it out until we requested again. We were there for a birthday and we reminded the staff three times we wanted to celebrate with a small treat but that took awhile to come out. Why rush us and somehow the desserts took awhile to come out? Disappointed experience recently which is why I 3 star this review for the time being.

Absolutely loved Chashu! We got to the restaurant early and ended up getting a drink and apps at the bar. The vibe was so warm, and I loved that there were four TVs set up, and they were all playing anime! The bartender was super friendly and did a great job of answering our questions. Tried the unagi (the absolute best I've ever had) and the fried chicken bao (SO good and the bun was soft and fluffy) along with the a drink called The Antidote (delicious and way stronger than you expect). After that we were seated at our table, and honestly we wish we had just stayed at the bar! I ordered the moyashi ramen with marinated bamboo. It was spectacular. The flavors were well blended and all the individual ingredients still had their own taste. I truly wish we had something this good up in NH, but I love knowing we now have two fantastic restaurants to choose from when we're in Worcester!

Night time place to eat, although it does get very busy. Luckily we got in right before a line started forming outside the restaurant. We came here before during restaurant week. Love the crispiness of the double fried chicken but it was more soy garlic than it was spicy. But it was good nonetheless. The ghost tonkatsu ramen was alright to me. The pepper hit my tongue but the taste wasn't crazy good. Although, I do really like how they cooked the egg. It was a firm but runny yolk and it wasn't too salty either. They give you a big portion of noodles, so much that I couldn't finish it. Anyway, i honestly would only come back for the wings.

The food is okay...the drinks however are terrible. Have tried several of their menu cocktails and they usually 90% ice and juice. Tonight figure I'd go with a Manhattan how could they screw that up...the measurements are literally a zip code. As you can see in the pictures I got what resembled a half drank Manhattan. It was literally gone in 3 sips and they charged $20 for it. Last time we will go there. Too many other options that have similar food and don't rip you off.

Everyone reviewing this place must be from MA because in terms of NY standards, this place is mid. The decor and presentation is fun- I'll admit. The vibe was upscale, but it gave the false impression of upscale dining. The food was considerably salty, and the only notable flavor was well, just weird- nothing better than a Maruchan ramen flavor packet. The prices were eh too. Nothing was that bad about this place, I just felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave the whole time.

Great ramen spot in Worcester. They have a great menu and delicious ramen. I recommend the Tamanegi ramen. I also recommend making reservations in advance, since it is a popular spot. Their chicken wings and bao buns make for great appetizers. They also have a delicious cocktail and mock tail menu. There is street parking, so you just have to make sure you make time to look for.Great spot for dinner with friends and family!

I was looking around worcester for a restaurant with a nice environment, and this restaurant was just that. the servers weren't the fastest when it came to giving service, but it was busy a bit busy so i understood them. as for the food, the kara age presentation was amazing and the sauce paired so well with the fried chicken. as for the ramen, the butter corn was delicious and i loved the texture of the noodles. however, my only two complaints were that both the soup and the chicken were a bit bland for my liking, and the texture of the chicken was a but tough. it definitely could've been an off day but i'll definitely try the chashu pork the next time i visit!

Great atmosphere, great service & great food! A very nice visit to Chashu!! The ambiance of this place is very cool. Awesome murals on the wall, and a handful of TV's playing anime while you eat. Definitely a cool environment while eating some ramen or noodles. I got the "Ghost Ramen", which definitely had a kick but wasn't too bad. If you like spice, it's definitely manageable... not only that, but tasty too!! I also got some Gochujang wings - man those were good!! Our waitress was very nice, polite and helpful. She did a great job in making sure our needs were met. The host was also very cool, and let us walk around the restaurant after we ate and take some pics of the wall art. All in all - I will certainly be back. There are more menu options I want to try, and my first experience was great!

I will not stop coming here. Service A+++ Food A++++ Drinks A+++ *albeit a little expensive, but worth it every time!!! I've come here 5 times since it's opened.

Food Is amazing, not cheap but so tasty and the ramen makes 2 meals for me. The atmosphere is so good, a perfect mix of classy design and modern pop culture influence. Recommend the Butter Corn Ramen with an extra Soy Marinated Egg. And get the chicken wings or the street corn app.

Did take out here last night and am blown away by the flavor quality of their food! Even though we didn't eat at the restaurant, the interior looked swanky and it was packed!! Always a good sign! We ordered the pork belly bao, the spicy red miso ramen and their special spicy beef bulgogi ramen! Everything was super flavorful but my fav was the bulgogi ramen! My nose was running but I was so happy eating it haha. Highly recommend and we can't wait to go back and try more things and dine in next time!

Ashleigh our server was amazing! Super helpful with all the recommendations from sake and whiskey, sushi and ramen! This place is fun! Cool vibes and awesome aesthetic! Would recommend a reservation for parties 4+ and anything Thursday-Sunday! The fried gyoza was 10/10! will be back just for that! This is not a place to cut dollars or skimp on food because of funds. Be prepared to pay top dollar for top dollar food! It is worth it. I promise!

One of the best bowls of ramen I've had in a while. Beating out even Momosan (Iron Chef Morimoto's place). I was in Worcester for a concert and went early to ensure there was no difficulty finding parking. However, that also meant I'd need to kill four fours. It was cold, snowing, and putting a warm bowl of ramen in my belly was a no-brainer. Plus, it's been a while since I'd had any ramen. The atmosphere is modern and hip. True to the theme, behind the bar were four TVs, each playing a different anime and prominent, thematically appropriate murals. One thing's for sure, the restaurant was spotless. I ordered a chicken skin skewer, pork belly bao, and Hakata ramen. The chicken skin skewer was a delightful appetizer. It was cooked very well. There was a little charring from the grill, but it seemed intentional and gave a slight crispness. The soy glaze bestowed some lovely sweet, salty, and savory notes. Then came the pork belly bao. This little guy was almost the restaurant's undoing. The ideas are solid but need to be revised in practice and application. I liked the pork, the sauce, and the steamed bun. However, running against that was a too-large heap of what seemed like apple Cole Slaw. It fought the pork with both its high moisture content and flavors. Consider skipping the mayonnaise and, instead of piling on the slaw, have a couple thin apple slices. Then came the bowl of liquid gold, which was the Hakata Ramen. The broth was rich, savory, and exploding with flavor. The noodles were excellent, and the chili oil gave a noticeable but not overpowering or overwhelming heat level. The Chashu pork was divine, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The restaurant didn't skimp on it, either! I would have liked more bamboo and fewer scallions (or at least thinner sliced scallions). Since this is a matter of personal preference, and "Mark doesn't like scallions," no points were lost. Finally, when it comes to the service, while it was fine, it could have been faster, based on personal experience with other ramen places. Though I don't find myself in Worcester too often, I can see myself returning to Chashu Ramen & Izakaya.

One of the BEST ramen places I ever been too! This place is actually so spacious and huge inside. Lots and lots of seats! There are so many wall murals and theyre all so beautiful. They have a great spacious bar and also an open service desk so you can watch the food get prepared. Fried chicken appetizer - 10/10 YOU MUST GET THIS AS AN APPETIZER! I am drooling! They are korean fried chicken so it is super crispy and it is coated with super delicious tangy sauce! Both flavors are amazing so don't worry about having to choose! Moyashi ramen - 10/10 The broth was super rich and packed with flavor! It is definitely unique and it was their special of the day. It was a broth that wasn't like any other! I wish this was a regular item otherwise I would get this ALL THE TIME. The egg is perfectly marinated and the pork is just so tender and juicy and a perfect balance of meat to fat ratio. Lobster sushi - 7/10 This is great for even people who don't like sushi. This is a warm sushi dish and the lobster bisque is tomato based but kind of heavy on the tomato sauce. Would love to see more lobster. The bisque just overpowered the whole dish so we couldn't even taste anything inside the roll. Overall, the atmosphere is just amazing. Super casual and the lights are dimmed so you can really focus on you and your group and the tables are spaced out evenly as well giving you lots of space.

This place is busy af on weekend nights so make sure to get a reservation. The space is very hip with high ceiling and huge geisha mural painting that screams this is a ramen place that hipsters gravitate to. As a spicy fiend ofc I got ghost ($20), which reads 'very spicy' tonkotsu ramen. To my pleasant surprise this ramen was actually spicy, and the broth was thick and not artificial. Too bad it didn't come with pork belly slices tho. The noodles were decent too, chewy and flavorful. For dessert we got kasutado, it's like a custard and caramel mousse thing, and it was soooo delicious - like creamy and rich but not super sweet - that I could eat ten instantly. I was also slightly overly high at that point just so you know. Anyway, definitely a fun place to go to get good food, and if you're lucky like me with a great seat at the bar, you could overhear cringy first date conversations people dressed in smart casual have.

8.3 The chicken karaage had a nice crispness complimented by a tender interior . Paired with the mayo and the pickled radish, it was a mid 8. Delicious! The ramen were a bit disappointing. While the toppings and noodles were excellent, I found the both broths to be a bit lacking in flavor. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite pleasant, with good lighting and great music. The wait staff was extremely helpful in parsing the menu, sporadically checking in throughout the meal, and even giving recommendations for the rest of our trip. I would recommend this place to ramen lovers in the Worcester area!

Good food, great sashimi!! only issue was service. took a long time and we were seated a good 10 minutes after our reservation even though there were tables obviously open. i don't blame the servers at all here though, it kind of looked like they were given too much to do as our server was also a bartender and the bar was busy. besides that very good. pretty place, anime playing on tvs above the bar and good ambiance. nice to go in a group or alone, if you don't mind having to wait.

The ambiance is anime themed, and the place was extremely clean and had a unique feel. The service was awesome. I sat at the bar and the bartender and everyone helping out was extremely attentive. The sushi was fresh, and the food had great flavor. This is such a little gem in downtown Worcester!

Came here on a friend's recommendation and it was overall a decent experience. It was quite packed and we didn't have a reservation, so if you're planning to come on the weekend I'd recommend reserving ahead. The bar area is super nice and I love how they have anime shows playing on the TVs. For the food my friend and I got the chicken karaage for the starter and comparing it to the others I've had in the past, it wasn't crispy at all. The sauce that came with it was really good though. I got the spicy red miso ramen while my friend got the Hakata. The spicy red miso wasn't spicy at all, more on the sweet side and the Hakata was saltier than expected.

This is a very popular spot in Worcester for a bit of a nicer dining place. The restaurant itself is really pretty but that's the best thing about it. The prices are pretty high and the ramen is not great. If you want good, authentic ramen this is not the place for you. The food is good but not great and one look at the menu makes it very clear that this place is an americanized version of a ramen place

Been here a few times. The apps are so good. The chicken is so good. The ramen is so good. The drink selection is bomb. The desserts are divine.

I have been here many times and have always had a reservation. Friday and Saturday evenings are always extremely busy, so I recommend reserving a table ahead of time. This used to be my favorite restaurant in the area, but the past few times I have been have been a little lackluster in both service and flavor. The tofu-woo that used to wow me was very "meh" the most recent visit. I always get the ghost ramen and add an extra soy marinated egg and chasu pork. All in all it's a nice spot with pretty art, low-key vibes and good food. Just be prepared for service to be very hit or miss!

Ordered 2 apps, gyoza & karaage. Both were so delicious! We also ordered 3 different types of ramen. Yummy!!! Overall, service was okay. It seemed busy and it was hard to flag our waiter down at times but we still got everything we needed :)

Stopped in here since we were driving through the city for a road trip and needed to get some lunch. I think the vibe and atmosphere is really cool. I like the decorations. If I were to base it on the food I wouldn't come back. I tried the tonkotsu hakata and was not a fan. Not the worst ramen but definitely not the best. I didn't think the broth had much flavor (I got it without chili oil). The noodles were a little too firm for my liking. They look much better than they taste. The pork was thinly sliced and therefore chewy so I couldn't really enjoy it. Most ramen I've had have much thicker pieces and even though pork belly is fatty it's normally at least soft. Definitely expensive especially since they considered it their lunch menu. I had to pay extra for 1/2 egg when normally I get at least 1 full egg included in the price. The other thing I was confused about on the menu was getting certain drinks/food at different times on different days not sure what that's about. Server was friendly. I did not think they knew the allergens too well. I tried the Korean fried chicken sandwich which had a pretty good flavor. So perhaps just have to step up the ramen game if you have ramen in the name of the restaurant

Solid spot for east asian food. I find myself going back to the bao bun every time I stop in. The drinks are also good. I've had 4 or 5 different ramen dishes and they've all been great. There is also quite a bit of thought put into the presentation here. The food is as beautiful as it is tasty. It's nice inside and it has a very trendy vibe. If you like anime sit at the bar, it will likely be playing in the background. If you're downtown and you're in the mood for asian this is one i'd certainly recommend.

Limited parking space that can be spread to the bank next door and would recommend getting a reservation. Still needed to wait at least 10 min for a table even making a reservation. Service was punctual, and the steak were cooked very well to a medium rare. I've had better sushi elsewhere but it satisfy the craving. But also the sushi is similar to what other places already have. Food does take a longer to time to prepare.

Me and my wife both love this place. We have been here multiple times and have great experiences so far. They have very good ambience. Food options are great and presentation of dishes are lovely. We found service great all the time. Food is great. Love there tofu starter. Bao bao options are awesome. And ramen is obviously good here. A lot of reason to visit them again and again.

It's rare to find a place that delivers on all aspects. From fun anime playing in the background, great drinks, apps, dessert and most importantly RAMEN; Chashu Ramen +Izakaya covers all the bases. We were lucky to get a seat at the full service bar because on a Saturday at 5:30pm this place was packed (for good reason). Our experience started with expertly crafted drinks which led us perfectly down the path to flavor town... LOL.. But seriously the food was great. Read more for details.... Dishes ordered - Assari - shoyo Ramen (very good) - tonkatsu - hakata Ramen (very good) - beef Tataki (very good) - baklava ice cream (SO GOOD) - blooming flame (sweet) Pros - cool, modern, open layout with plenty of space - fun anime playing from the 4 tvs behind the bar. - all dishes ordered were fantastic - hakata Ramen was hefty but too fatty like other tonkatsu Ramen I've had. Great flavor with all the ingredients blending well with each other. - perfect ratio of noodles soup and protein - beef Tataki was the perfect blend of sweet, salty, umami, and acidity. - shoyo Ramen was nice and light. More soy saucey. Cons - pricey- bill was (120) for 2 ppl with drinks, apps, dessert (but for the experience it was worth it) - no tea egg with hakata Ramen ( highly recommend adding one because the egg is bussin) Recommendations - Baklava ice cream was my favorite- perfect combination of salty and sweet with the pastry providing and nice soft crunch to match the creamy goodness of the ice cream. Verdict Great place for ramen and a good time. I would definitely come again. Period.

Food was good. The ramen was a little thicker than I am used to but was still good. Prices were also very reasonable. Most of all the waitress was very good. There was quite a few tables on a Sunday afternoon June 23rd about 2 pm and she looked to be the only server. She was great and on top of everything and extremely pleasant.

Terrific little place. Decor is fun and interesting, the chairs aren't meant for larger people but weren't bad. I like the anime on the TV screens behind the bar, it really suits the theme. Staff were all terrific! Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive without hovering. The tableware was terrific and felt solid while still fitting the feel of the restaurant. Food was fabulous. Flavours were rich but not overpowering, and was cooked perfectly. Rounded out the evening with hot tea and matcha, and a couple of katsutado (egg custard). The only thing I didn't like was the music, a bit too loud for me and made it hard to hear my wife. I know it is the current trend but I dislike it. Given that we will still be back for more.

4.5/5 - I've been meaning to stop by Chashu for the longest time, and I'm glad I finally have. I wasn't expecting to like Chashu as much as I did, nor did I think I could find decent ramen in Worcester. Chashu exceeded my expectations. SERVICE: First off, everyone was super friendly. The hostess, wait staff, and bartenders were professional and had recommendations ready if my party needed help deciding on the menu. Everyone was also open to conversation and quick to help if needed. FOOD: We ended up deciding on sharing the Abura and the Spicy Red Miso Ramen. The Abura was a really good non-broth option. The cuts of pork belly were so thick, tender, and juicy (arguably one of the best cuts of pork I've had at a ramen shop). I personally loved the sauce that the noodles were paired with, as it's on the sweeter side with room for extra heat/spiciness if you request it. The Spicy Red Miso was incredibly hearty and filling. The broth itself was a mild-medium and was pretty rich but was kind of lacking that classic tonkotsu flavor. It seemed like the added spiciness was almost trying to mask lacking pork-flavored broth, but this might just be me being picky. Both were fairly large portions that left me full for hours. ATMOSPHERE: Chashu is a casual vibe that could also be a date spot if you wanted it to. It's clean and modern with traditional Eastern accents. There's music on, but it's not too loud and it's easy to have a conversation with the person across from you. It's also family friendly! Definitely recommend if you're in Worcester area and want a good bowl of ramen.

Everything was fantastic! Our server was super nice. My husband loved the spicy ramen. The gyoza and both types of bao buns were great - i could have filled up on just those! The baki maki was seriously phenomenal. I don't like seafood very much, and I was pleasantly surprised I could get a sushi option.

Whoa, good ramen but like $18 + $2 for extra topping. Beautiful restaurant, decent service. $8 for ONE pork belly bun. BE AWARE. $7 for "still water" bottles were already opened. How do I know it was refilled with tap water before it was brought to table? What the heck? Huge rip off. Food was decent , but not "OMG amazing." I would spend my $130 elsewhere. Not worth it.

We made a reservation and still had to wait 10-15 minutes which was okay since it does get busy during the weekend. The food presentation was nice, but the food itself was alright for the price and quality we were expected. Our food was cold. The staff was nice.

Great food and service! Especially the ramen. Great place to eat in with great anime being played on every screen. If you are going to order online just be aware they add like a "takeout tax" or something similar.

The woo-bap was excellent! The bulgogi sauce, the poached egg, the chicken on top. It was a really big portion of rice - definitely worth the price. I also got the Venus mocktail and it was very fruity and tasty. I will definitely be going back to try everything!

This was my 2nd time at Chashu since it opened. I really enjoyed going again. It's on a Main Street but there's many side streets all with metered street parking. There's private lots around as well so be careful with those. The menu was reasonably priced and the food came out in less than 20m. The staff was super nice. We go the regular chicken ramen and the spicy Ramen. I got the ghost pepper on the side which was great bc the whole serving is definitely fairly spicy (I love spicy and this was 8/10). Overall it's a nice spot with good food. we went for an earlier dinner on a Monday and the restaurant wasn't busy at all.

Chashu Ramen is a great addition to the downtown Worcester area. Being downtown, parking can be relatively tricky on the street, but fortunately Chashu is in a nicer part of downtown so a short walk wouldn't be terrible. I loved the atmosphere and the service. Very casual vibe. They had anime playing on some TVs in the background. Plenty of seating, including half booth-style seating, high top tables, and normal tables. Service was very prompt and friendly. And I think their menu has a good amount of variety, offering foods other than ramen (such as rice bowls and yakisoba). They also divide their ramen into many different offerings, making ordering easy. For example, you can choose between chicken, pork, vegetarian broth, or no broth. And amongst those choices, you have even more choices to choose from (such as if you want something spicy, or with the soft boiled egg). And if you still aren't happy with those many choices, you can always pay a little extra for additional toppings. We got the Butter Corn Assari ramen ($12) and Spicy Red Miso ramen ($17). We weren't very impressed with the ramen. Portion sizes were reasonable and $12 is definitely pretty standard for a bowl of ramen. But both bowls were lacking in flavor. The Spicy Red Miso was lacking in flavor and spice and the $17 price tag definitely was questionable. Overall, Chashu is a very nice restaurant to hang out at. The food was decent but nothing to write home about and definitely not enough to satisfy a ramen craving. But the service was wonderful and the variety of options definitely makes it worth checking out.

Great ambiance for a date night spot! I had the spicy miso vegan ramen and my girlfriend had the butter corn ramen and the two complimented each other really well. Two vastly different ramens with the spicy miso vegan having a bit more of a flavor profile than the butter corn ramen, but both were very filling. We also tried the rosé which was good. The service was great and our food came out relatively quickly. The vibe of the restaurant was upscale casual with anime playing on all the TVs around the restaurant, we'll definitely be back!
