Chat Qui Rit | Ristorante Venezia Gourmet

Chat Qui Rit is an excellent restaurant receiving a Michelin recommendation! The food was simply put, amazing. The service was exceptional and gave our food in a timely manner. They were very nice and provided freshly baked bread as well as really nice main courses as well as deserts and appetizers. The atmosphere was also elegant with nice scenery. Overall, I would highly recommend coming here!

First dropped in for a glass of wine, blown away by the extraordinary extensive winelist and friendly service. Came back a few days later, had the tasting menu with accompanying wine pairing. We’ve eaten at Michelin starred restaurants across the world, chat qui rit owes nothing to anyone. The quality of cooking on display is absolutely stunning, it’s such a pleasure to experience a certain playfulness towards the local cuisine, it’s not religious, it’s what’s best for the local produce. Giovanni, Leonardo and the rest of the excellent staff made our visit to Venice magical! Worth a trip to Venice in itself!

We had to stop for a drink and a snack. Although they are more of a restaurant, they still happily accommodated us. We had two amazing cocktails and the aged meat platter, both were amazing. And then the tiramisu which had popping chocolate in it. The staff there were fantastic. Highly recommend it. Just need to have found it earlier in our trip.

Very quaint atmosphere , good service , complicated food pairings , surprising very small portions, smaller than appetizers .. a nice touch with complimentary appetizer samples but too far out there . I would not recommend any of the dishes we had. Wine list extravagant and extremely expensive . Not enough or actually hardly any bottles under 200 euros .. got to be kidding ! You’re in Italy where a fabulous bottle could benefit blight for 50 euros.. basically I think they try too hard .. not surprised only one other table occupied . I wish they would tone it down 3 notches , charge accordingly and increase the portion and remove the 90% of wines over 450 euros .. The desert Terimisui is exactly as it says in the menu “ their version “ which one would think is close to the T , absolutely unequivocally it is Not !

Food and service here were fantastic and consistent with other reviews and the Michelin Guide. The tasting menu isn’t going to give you a traditional local meal if that’s what you are expecting, but for something unique and inventive it is there. Recommend to try.

Extremely rude woman on the entrance who seems extremely unhappy in life and unpleasant , apart from that she did pour the half glass of the wine instead of a full portion of wine , so i had to ask another waiter of the restaurant if this is okay or no to put a glass of wine which is 80ml… for 14 euro , the name of the wine wasnt even on the cheque , so im not sure if they did put in the check the one we ordered instead of another one for higher price …. The horrible moment apart from extra waiting of the cheque ( i had to go inside to chase any of the waiters to get a cheque from the try nr 3) extremely rude treating on every single step …. So the last drop was that we forgot the box on the table outside when we left (me and my husband) , came back for it literally in less than 2 min , and they said our box is in the garbage , so they literally just have thrown out our personal belongings !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arrogance , scam , unwelcoming service , cannot represent such a great city as Venice , shame and the best wishes of firing these horrible people who leave such an impression of their own country…… in 15 years travelling through Italy this was the most disrespectful service …. Highly do not recommend this place , i attach the cheque and the picture of wine , which name is not on the cheque

We had such an amazing time here for a light lunch. It was truly the highlight of our day trip to Venice. Impressive service, truly amazing quality of food, and a beautiful place. The food was genuinely beyond amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend making this a forsure stop on your next trip, it’s such a fancy and delightful experience. It was perfect in every way, thank you for an amazing time!

We had a wonderful dinner there in July 2024! We passed by the restaurant early in the day and it looked sophisticated - it did not disappoint when we went for dinner. The service and food were excellent. Staff were we very attentive and gracious. The fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. The bread was fresh, hot and so delicious. We highly recommend it - and we are picky New Yorkers.
