We had the most amazing experience having our wedding at Chateau Grande! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our celebration of about 100 guests. Hope, our wedding planner/coordinator, was absolutely incredible. She was communicative, organized, and always willing to help. She made sure every detail went smoothly, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Neesh, our second coordinator, was equally wonderful and helped ensure the day flowed seamlessly. On the accommodations side, Alison and Mikayla were so helpful with setting up our room blocks and assisting our guests with booking. This took a lot of stress off our shoulders. Serenity, our bridal attendant, was also amazing. She was attentive, thoughtful, and made me feel completely taken care of all night. Every single staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and clearly committed to making our day unforgettable. There were no issues at all, and everything ran flawlessly. We truly cannot recommend Chateau Grande enough as a wedding venue. It was a beautiful setting, and the team made the experience unforgettable.

I got married next door at Park Chateau on Tuesday July 8th. I’ve been dealing with Allison and Hope for 2 years now and they are AMAZING. Booking my hotel room block with Allison was very easy and she is literally the most kind, sweet, friendliest person ever. She was able to make this process super easy and not stressful at all. She made many accommodations and arrangements for me, my parents, and my VIP guests. I asked her to make sure my best friend & my parents hotel rooms were near mine and she literally put them 3 in a row from each other which was perfect this way we weren’t running around from floor to floor. The rest of the hotel staff was lovely as well, although I regret not remembering any of their names I do remember that Kate was also very helpful! Not only did we book our hotel room block here but we also did book our rehearsal dinner & recovery brunch here as well with Hope. Hope is awesome. She knows what she’s doing and she doesn’t sugarcoat or beat around the bush like other wedding vendors. She’s a true businesswoman which I appreciate! She always answered my emails quickly and she made me feel very special which always is so appreciated as well. My rehearsal dinner was perfection. My recovery brunch was amazing. Hope was handing out extra hotel room boxes to my guests at my recovery brunch which just goes to show that she’s a great person who’s helpful and just overall awesome. Thank you Allison & Hope and the staff of Chateau Grande for making my wedding festivities perfect and memorable

My son got married July 29th at the Park Chateau next door to the hotel. Our stay at the hotel was amazing! Hope helped me plan our Welcome Dinner for our guests coming into town (we are from Mississippi) months before we arrived. She did a fantastic job and everything was just perfect! I didn't have to worry about a thing once I got there! It's hard to plan an event from so far away but Hope took care of it all:) The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to meet all of our needs and made us feel so welcome. We had the best time here and I would definitely recommend them! You won't regret it! And it didn't hurt that the hotel and venue next door was absolutely breathtaking! ❤️❤️❤️ a big thank you to all of those at The Chateau Grande Hotel!!

A logistical nightmare. We were a part of a wedding party and booked months prior. A month before the wedding, we called to confirm that we were to be placed on the wedding party’s room block. Come the day the wedding everyone in the wedding party was split and there was no room block. With 4 or 5 rooms as part of the block, not one of us was next to or near the bride and groom. We did this so that we could celebrate the couple after the wedding and so that the immediate neighbors would not be bothered. However they decided to place corporate guest right next to the bridal suites and we ended up getting multiple noise complaints and our celebration was forced to end early. On top of that, they over booked the room my partner and I reserved, so we paid good money to sleep on double beds instead of the King bed that we had booked. The staff apologized but didn’t offer anything else. Can’t blame the staff working that night as it wasn’t their error. We ended up not saying anything to front desk the morning we checked out cause nothing really could be done..but the young tan front desk lady Alex or Alexis? Someone give her some coffee or something, I don’t think I ever saw someone so miserable and cranky

Beautiful hotel in the middle of nowhere. Spent the night for a wedding. Plenty of parking-valet or self-and a beautiful, modern, sleek lobby. Excellent bartender serving excellent drinks. Rooms were small but very comfortable. Slept through the night. Wedding next door was very enjoyable, with nice service. Had a great time. ♿️

While I didn’t have many out-of-town guests, I still wanted to offer a hotel block, and the staff made it so easy by providing a complimentary room block with more than enough rooms without any stress! It worked out perfectly for our needs! The location was also incredibly convenient, as my wedding was at Park Château — just a hop and a skip away. My now-husband and I checked in the night before, enjoyed a quiet dinner at the on-site restaurant, and had a long, relaxing night’s sleep. The next morning, the hotel staff even came up to our room to help bring anything we needed over to the venue, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, a great experience — professional, seamless, and so convenient for our wedding weekend!

Photographed a wedding at The Chateau Grande Hotel on 04/05/25. It rained most of the day, and I’ll say this — indoor photo options are definitely limited. That said, the bar area in the lobby has great vibes and worked well for portraits. The bridal suite was also super spacious, which made getting ready shots easy and relaxed. Can’t speak for the hotel side of things, but as a wedding venue, it’s a solid pick. Just keep the rain plan in mind if photos are a big priority.

Enjoyed our stay here! It is on the pricey side, which is why I had high expectations for the room. The bathroom was sub-par, our smaller makeup/shave mirror did not work, and the shower was awful. Lobby bar was brilliant, as was the food! Bed comfy and the building well kept.

Yelp
Five star exterior meets Best Western rooms. Stayed here for a wedding and I now understand some of the hype about this hotel and venue. Everything is located right on site, no driving. But, it doesn't feel legit, feels like a made for TV experience. Facade of the hotel screams five star but the rooms are lack luster with thin walls and few in room amenities. Plastic cups in room versus a glass, nice but very thin towels, vinyl flooring. But, for staying for a wedding- perfect. Big bar downstairs, very nice staff and a complimentary cup of coffee in the morning

Yelp
2 star review that should have been a 5 star. Let me start by saying the hotel is beautiful and one of the best hotels we've stayed in. That is quickly overshadowed though by the staff at the front desk. Customer service is not first, it's last. You will get nowhere with them in regard to something wrong with your bill or stay. When we checked in, we were asked to put a credit card on file. I asked why, as we already paid for the one night stay on expedia or booking.com and they told me they normally have a resort fee but I already paid through the online platform so I wouldn't be receiving that fee. The next day, we asked for a late checkout, they said no, fine no problem. We then come down to check out and about an hour later, I recieve a charge on my credit card for a resort fee, the same fee I was told I would not be paying. I went and talked to a lady at the front desk who was not only rude, but refused to listen and take accountability for it. I believed I should not have received that fee as I discussed with a different staff member at check in and she told me I would not receive the fee. The fee is $32 which is nothing, and I asked again to have it credited back and this lady at the front who I assume is the manager, refused. I told her I would write this review, and asked her how much she thought the owner would pay to have the review not written, and instead have a 5 star? The $32 dollars was more important to her, and so this review stands. This definitely soured our stay here and we were considering having our wedding here too as it's gorgeous, but the staff is rude and inconsiderate, and literally was the catalyst to a negative review. Such a bummer and could have been a 5 star review instead.

Yelp
First of all, when you pull in you'll notice that the grounds here are stunning. We stayed one night over the weekend. Friends of ours were celebrating a milestone anniversary. The affair was in the Angelique ballroom with about 60 guests. Service was fantastic. You will see Orchard Park finger prints all over your meal. Such as that Closesline candy bacon for a table share to the lollipop tree at dessert time. They even had a boozy brunch the day after in a small room in the lobby area. This had about 15 people. Our room was on the second floor and believe it was called a king superior room. It had plenty of very large windows. Yes it had a in room safe. Not much storage in the room at all. Just the tv stand with a couple of draws plus a cabinet to keep our suit/dress for our party downstairs. Look, staying here overnight after the gathering was a great idea. But at these prices ( well over $300 a night) , can't see myself being a regular guest.

Tina N.

Yelp
Way overpriced very disappointed. No coffee pot in room, Had to pay for coffee in the lobby. Door to the room the sweep for the door was only half the light from the hallway shined in the room like a night light‍ Wouldn't recommend to anyone Wedding venue was good.

Yelp
The Chateau Grande Hotel is appealing from the moment you drive up as well as the decor inside. This review is solely based on an event I attended. My friends had their wedding brunch at The Chateau Grande Hotel, which was a beautiful experience. They went for a unique approach with this being "Part I" of their celebration. The wedding brunch had an intimate number of people. After the ceremony, the DJ was playing the tunes (especially Beyoncé's #cuffitchallenge lol), and the guests went to another section of the event space to get our food, which gave the appearance of being outside but was not. The food was excelente! It was displayed as a buffet-style setup, and it was plentiful. One of their staff made fresh waffles. I recall there being peppered like maple bacon, potatoes, mac & cheese, biscuits, fruits, buffalo fried chicken, original fried chicken, etc. Also, there were bottomless different flavored mimosas! Yassssss! The staff at The Chateau Grande Hotel was helpful and professional.

Yelp
It's just a no for me. Not worth the money or the headaches. The lobby and hotel room is nice. However, customer service and room amenities are poor. First of all, you don't get an itemized receipt when you book your room. You also do not get check-in information emailed with a general introduction of things to do at the hotel. That seemed odd and strange to me. Beware there's a $29.95 "destination fee" per day. Sure, the garden is nice but that's about it. You don't get breakfast or coffee at this destination. There's no microwave, robe, or coffee peculator in the room. The room walls are thin, there's a gap in the room door that lets the light and noise in, and the bathroom had finger/hand prints on the door and shower curtain. If you're an early riser, then good luck finding someone in the lobby who can ring you up for a cup of coffee at the Starbucks cafe. If you're curious about the hotel restaurant, call the restaurant. The front desk was clueless about the restaurant activities across the lobby. I didn't eat at the restaurant or ordered takeout. There is no room service. Yes, there's a pool. It's a small lap sized pool. Make sure you get a receipt for any changes you make to avoid being treated like a liar at checkout. There are better and more affordable options in the area to choose from that are more convenient to your needs.

Michale O.

Yelp
Nothing resort about this place. No pool as they are building a spa. Hence, no spa either. No room service in the morning or late night. No restaurant open in the morning for breakfast. They charge you resort fee for free coffee, and free Wi-Fi. That's all you get. My 6 year-old wanted indoor pool and room service for his birthday but he got none of this. And to top this level of service, they made a mistake on my bill and tried to overcharge me despite not using anything but the room to sleep in. Be warned traveler!

Yelp
Came here to attend a wedding and the overall venue was great. The ballroom wasn't the biggest for a large crowd but it was still well appointed and nice. The back outdoor venue was fantastic for a great ceremony. The area was large and can accommodate many seats. One gripe was that given the position of where the ceremony takes place, a late afternoon ceremony will subject you to a blast of sunlight based on the angle of where everything is, so expect to be roasting if an event is taking place at that time of day. The service was fine, nothing amazing or particularly friendly. Everything was a solid 3 stars and overall the experience was fine and the wedding itself was beautiful.

Yelp
This place is like the fake Gucci bag you see in the gutters of canal street. If you're not from NY, I mean to say that this place is fake in their "luxury" atmosphere and status. No amenities. Dirty rooms and bathrooms. Juvenile staff who cannot provide the luxury service that the price tag demands. Exorbitant, undisclosed charges when yo check out. When you check in, they require you to sign a contract which will fine you for bringing in outside food/drink. They have bouncers/security patrolling the lobby to intimidate guests into not bringing outside food in, but leave some folks to eat their smelly dominos and beer in the same lobby and litter the hall with smelly take out boxes. The rooms were seemingly clean, but had a lot of stains on the walls and bathrooms. I moved a decorative tray that was laying on one of the counters over and there was dust, chip crumbs, and hair. In the shower, there was a crust of yellow/ brown grime in the door and grout. Seems like they don't have any attention to detail when it comes to cleaning. The walls are very thin and there is a good 1-2 inch gap between the door and the floor. Thus, you can hear every little sneeze outside your room and next door. They post tiny signs on each floor, notifying guests of the mandated quiet hours, but of course no one abides by or enforces this. You'll be up all night and in the early mornings listening to drunken screaming, running, and children crying. The bathrooms are not stocked with basic hygiene amenities that even a holiday inn would have (g-tips, lotion, water cup). No breakfast. The only option you have is their ridiculously over priced bar. Drinks are $17 + each and have two sips of drink. The cheapest item on the menu is probably a side of fries for $20. If you want to bring back food, you will get confronted immediately by bouncers who come out of a back office and they will stand over your shoulder until you throw your food out. They use the same food at the wedding reception food bar. I wouldn't be surprised if they reused in-eaten food, since at the wedding we attended, they rushed us out of the reception within 45 minutes. Lastly, the hotel will quote you a bait price. When you check out you should definitely ask for an itemized receipt to see where the hotel charges you secretly. It does not add up to the quoted price. They will tack on any and every fee, charge bogus drinks to your room, and charge you for the valet/ gym even if you do not utilize these services. They charge a destination fee which is laughable because when did East Brunswick become a destination!? There's a nursing home right next door and a stretch of medical strip malls on the street If you must stay here, at least book on a reliable credit card to dispute bogus charges this place will charge you. There are airbnbs, holiday inns, best westerns in the area that will be worth way more than this gaudy and cheap place. They clearly only care about pushing events out back to back and have no regard for the guests/hosts who spend thousands here.

Yelp
my daughter got married at park chateau which was beautiful! I wish the same could be said for chateau grande hotel. save money and find a nearby hotel! toilet seat fell off we called maintenance who came and fixed it but it immediately fell off again. This happened in multiple guest room. Zero water pressure...we were told they were working on the pipes the day before and forgot to turn up the pressure but next day same thing. No where to get breakfast...50 guests scrambling to get coffee and breakfast in the morning because they ran out of coffee. This hotel is not worth the money at all. Yes it is very pretty but that's it.

Yelp
Can not say enough good things about this hotel. The decor is stunning, the rooms are very spacious, and every hotel staff member we interacted with was so pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a bridal suite in preparation for our wedding at neighboring venue The Park Chateau, and the bridal suite was perfect for having friends hang out at. Because many overnight stays here are related to weddings, you can expect a bit of hallway noise due to the hustle and bustle of guests coming and going from a great party. Some perks: on property Starbucks bar in the lobby, orchard park restaurant, and convenient assistance between the Park Chateau Venue and hotel from the staff. Looking forward to a future anniversary stay here just for fun.

Yelp
This is a shortened review due to character limits- Full review can be found on wedding wire under review title "An Exquisite Venue" I owe a huge thank you to the venues coordinator, Hope, who from day one assured me that wedding weekend would be perfect. You often read reviews that say coordinators that work for the venue is not the same as hiring your own wedding coordinator, that they won't be there to help you make decisions along the way, suggest ideas when you are stuck on something and are merely a day of coordinator who lines the bridal party up and gets you down the aisle. This could not be further from the truth at The Chateau Grande. Hope was the most helpful, caring and knowledgeable person I met during the entire process of wedding planning, bar none. She answered every email (there were many) and texts promptly and would happily get a phone call to discuss things in detail at a moments notice. Hope was extremely flexible in every single way to ensure this was truly "our day". Hope went above and beyond for each event we hosted, for the rehearsal, she spent hours setting up the candles on the tables exactly the way I had them photoshopped in my inspo pic, she made sure every napkin, place card, menu and our signage was perfectly placed and the room was lit exactly how I envisioned. Hope did not just get us down the aisle, she didn't just show up that day, she truly built our wedding day with us from the ground up. Hope became a huge part of the wedding to me. She was an integral part of the process without whom I know I would not have had the bridal experience I waited my whole life to have. I can never thank her enough for everything she did. I know she went above and beyond for us and I am forever grateful for her. May 18, 2024 went by in the blink of an eye just as I knew it would. The ceremony was stunning. Immediately upon walking out of our ceremony we were congratulated by staff and handed our signature cocktails, very nice touch.I stressed to Hope throughout the year of planning that the quality and quantity of food is of the upmost importance to my family, specifically my father, who wanted to know that guests would never have to wait for food to be replenished at cocktail hour and that we added enough food options that guests would have an abundance to choose from. We also chose to extend cocktail hour to an hour and a half so guests had more time to enjoy everything. In my opinion this is an absolute MUST and worth every penny. I requested cocktail smoker tops for old fashions at the bar and the request was happily accommodated, such an elegant touch when guests ordered the signature cocktail. The reception was everything and more. The lighting built in to the venue once again, superb. We added our own uplighting package from the DJ as well but the lighting the venue has can easily be used in the event that you don't want to do any additional lighting packages. Our guests were attended to quickly with anything they ordered at the bar. From salads to entrees, the food was top tier and cooked perfectly. Every detail of our weekend was exquisite. This venue provided such a high end and luxurious feel from the moment we booked with them. Luxury is a running theme at this venue and it is no surprise that a venue this well managed has the ability to accommodate your every request. I wish anyone who gets married the same experience that we had. I can't wait to come back for dinner, weekends away and special occasions. The Chateau Grande will always hold the most special place in our hearts.

Yelp
Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. There was a charge to my room (someone ordered food and gave my room number) that I did not authorize and they refuse to do anything about it. I've spent the last week chatting with different staff that claim that there's nothing they do.

Donald C.

Yelp
A disappointing experience. They were rigid with amenities or lack thereof. The water pressure of the shower was minimal made it difficult to enjoy. We walked in to their restaurant Orchard Park and happily saw an upscale classy place. But the menu was a joke. A sheet of cardboard with food on 1 side and drinks on the back. Not enough entree choices, I had to settle on pizza and Mac and cheese. The pastry of dessert was hard and we wondered why.

Vincent M.

Yelp
Great hotel and service! The lobby bar and David Burke's restaurant are awesome with great vibes! Look forward to my next trip with friends. Great getaway.

Yelp
Staff were Pompas assholes. Wedding hall is gorgeous but the hotel experience ruined what was a great time

Yelp
** Safety Advisory** If you are elderly or have small children I would be extremely cautious of staying at this hotel. The heavy 6 foot mirrors that are installed on the bathroom doors are not properly fixed or fastened. During our stay the mirror fell and hit my Fiancée in the head. The hotel did nothing to compensate us for the falling shard of glass. Then later on the hotel leadership somehow suggested that it was our fault for not checking to make sure the fixtures were properly installed. We just so happen to take a video when we initially checked into the hotel room that shows The cheap adhesive used to stick the heavy mirror on the door failing. Please be cautious when visiting this property it would be a travesty for this to happen to your small child or elderly parents.

Yelp
Add $15 per night to the rate for an "accommodation fee." I called and asked about that charge upon receiving the receipt and was told that the accommodation fee was for the wifi, parking, and "complimentary" water in the room. I hate getting nickel and dimed. Everything else was very nice.

Yelp
Your money obviously goes to the appearance and not much towards the amenities or service. Started off with a room that had no power - They didn't tell us we had to insert a key card in the wall for the actual electrical power to work in the room. I've been in hotels that cost 2x as much and have never seen that function before. They do not have breakfast preparations the morning after they host large weddings so you have to DoorDash. Topping it off with fire department testing the fire alarms at 8:45am when you would think they could arrange for 11am (check out time). We had quite a rude awakening. I've had better stays at Holiday Inns and I'll be glad to save the money in the future.

Yelp
Like many couples, my fiancee and I had high expectations for our wedding - but we never expected our venue to EXCEED them. First off, the style of Chateau Grande was exactly what we were looking for - think traditional French architecture reimagined with clean and modern European design. The hotel was truly unique and unlike any other venue we found in the tri-state area. But the biggest reason our wedding was such a success was EXECUTION - and that's where Chateau Grande more than delivered. We took the daunting task of being our own wedding planners. But working with Alisha, Director of Events, was a big reason why we pulled it off. Even after coming on board months after we signed on, she was able to pick things up quickly and help us right away. In the weeks ahead of our day, she committed to speaking with us regularly and gave us her time on evenings and weekends. She went above and beyond to give us time and space to rehearse and was a helpful hand during the ceremony and reception. Thank you, Alisha! I don't think the day of the wedding could have gone any smoother, so huge kudos to the staff. Our maitre'd, Neesh, must have years of experience because she was able to coordinate the servers, bartenders, and evening program without running into issues or breaking a sweat. Our bridal attendants, Phoebe and Kaitlin, were true rockstars - able to fulfill all of our requests, pay attention to details, and always think one step ahead. Phoebe/Kaitlin, thanks again for going above and beyond - we loved the cocktail hour sampler you fixed for us and appreciate you helping us take down our arch at the end! The culinary team really hit it out of the park with the food. Days after the wedding our guests were still raving about what they ate. We got multiple comments on the maple-glazed bacon, brisket, and short rib. In our experience, it's not often you remember what you ate at a wedding, but Chateau Grande left a lasting impression. We only regret not having more room to keep eating! Holding a wedding at a hotel has its advantages, especially after a night full of food, drinks and dancing. Setting up a hotel block with Loretta was very straightforward and Alison was so helpful, giving personal attention to our guests in booking their rooms. Our friends and family loved the style, cleanliness, and spaciousness of their rooms. The bridal suite was unbelievable and we were impressed by how it was designed for every person who would set foot inside - comfy chairs, sofas, and communal tables for a bridesmaid party - makeup chairs, mirrors, and lighting for hair stylists and makeup artists - even a microwave for leftovers the morning after! Last but not least, we are so grateful for GM Sam Calello, going out of his way to congratulate us. Thank you Sam for your hospitality and generosity! We applaud your leadership of such a talented, hard-working, and dedicated team. We are so happy to have partnered with you and wouldn't hesitate to do so again in the future. Our message to couples considering Chateau Grande: You will not be disappointed! Be a good partner to them and they will give you the wedding of your dreams and more!

Yelp
Came here to stay 2 nights and also go to a wedding at the venue next door. There were other places nearby to have dinner, but we didn't want to leave the hotel after driving far to get there. The staff was wonderful all around. We had several drinks at the bar that were good and had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Although we were not disappointed with the taste of anything, the prices were a little high. You can get some food served at the bar as well. Next time, I may get a drink at the bar and try a local restaurant or get pizza or burger at bar.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel but do not let this deceive you. The restrictions are very high to the point of having a female employee in the groomsmen's ready room allowing little to no privacy for the men. The hotel staff would not allow the photographer to move a couch for pictures due to legal reasons. The staff were rude to the groom. For the wedding itself the hotel was giving tours of the wedding for perspective clients that were not appropriately dressed to the environment. For check out you will see an additional total of $60 of hidden fees.

Yelp
Hi, want to just say the staff at the Château grande was much worth the trip. I would argue that they were worth much much more than what I paid to stay here. I spoke with a few of them. one in particular was Desiree. Desiree was very attentive and very thoughtful and helpful to my family and my new extended family. My brother had his wedding here tonight and Desiree was so attentive to not just me but my parents and my in-laws that I believe she deserves an upgrade in either a monetary fashion or some type of additional status of employment where she can receive some type of praise for her effort and her work. The rest of the staff was also helpful especially when it came to checking in rooms. They accommodated us even though some things were messed up in the computer system. we were able to still get what we needed. thanks Desiree for your help!

Yelp
What an amazing modern hotel. We stayed for a wedding and the place couldn't have been nicer. The staff went out of their way to help us. STUNNING!

Yelp
Prices are extremely high for wedding / family guests despite being part of the blocked rooms special pricing for the wedding guests. Price I was given at time of booking is not price I was charged. They added numerous fees to my final price. Checking in was not easy, big line. They need to consider adding more front desk attendants on the day of weddings etc..... Nice banquet hall, food was great!

John M.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds, comfortable beds and a friendly professional staff. Now for the downside. 1. They do not answer their phones. The phone message"your call is very important to us". No, it's not otherwise they would answer it. Reserve on line even for the restaurant. Upon entering the lobby to check in, the noise level was deafening. The front desk attendant and I could barely hear each other. Probably why the phone wasn't answered-couldn't hear it ring. Had we not been so tired, we would've left right then. The advertised rate was $189, I full expect taxes the be added, not a hidden $40 amenity fee. The "amenities" include 2 bottle of water, some toiletries and a hair dryer. No coffee pot. You have to go to the lobby for that. Upon checkout, when noticing the "amenity" fee, I inquired what it was for-answer-it's a resort fee. Based on some reviews, This may be a good venue for events, but unless you desire to pay for amenities that don't exist or a resort fee at a non resort, I'd suggest the Best Western that's 15 minutes away.

Yelp
We had our wedding here earlier this month and I cannot sing higher praises about the entire staff that helped to make our day absolutely perfect. I wish that I could give 5 stars, but we were charged an obscene $500 additional cleaning fee. Since we got ready and had our after party in our suite, we clearly had to get extra trash bags from housekeeping to fit all of the garbage we accumulated throughout the weekend. We also popped confetti poppers while getting ready for photos, as most bridal parties do. All of the trash was contained in bags and when we asked housekeeping for something to clean up the confetti, such as a broom, they couldn't supply us with anything. After reaching out to the sales team to ask for a reassessment of the fee, they stated that it was policy and they weren't going to make any adjustments. I completely understand it's a policy and that there is extra work required to vacuum confetti and take out extra bags of garbage, but $500 worth of extra work??? After spending tens of thousands of dollars to host your wedding and thousands on the suite alone, you think there would be some level of appreciation and understanding. So if you're getting married at the hotel or Park Chateau and plan on getting ready in a room/suite, make sure you bring your own broom/vacuum and take out your own garbage to avoid getting charged a MINIMUM $500.

Yelp
We were stunned that there was no coffee in the rooms, for a place that is supposed to be upscale. Even Motel 6 has coffee. Due to Covid, they leave you a note that they will not service your room during your stay. While I understand the mindset, that means trash piles up and the free water they brag about giving you never gets restocked (they done even offer). At 3am the fire alarm went off. Never an apology for the inconvenience or even an acknowledgement. We had a stroke survivor in our party. The chef literally refuses to accommodate his diet needs, and there was no microwave in the room in order for the family to do it themselves. We came down in the morning to purchase a cup of coffee at the Starbucks kiosk and it was closed (remember, no coffee in the room?!?) The wedding was wonderful, the rooms were overpriced for the lack of service

Yelp
The hotel itself was beautiful, but I could not believe how rude the staff were during our stay. We had an after party after my cousin's wedding which lasted maybe 30 minutes until they closed the bar and kicked everyone out. We always tipped the staff well but still got attitudes from everyone. Is that just a Jersey thing? Who knows. Even when the bar wasn't busy, the bartenders ignored us and polished glasses instead. They also were not aware of the liquors they carried or had any knowledge about them when we had questions. For somewhere that isn't cheap to stay, you would think they could hire friendly and professional staff. It's not that hard. Also I get that because of Covid, they were cutting down on servicing the rooms. But some fresh towels would have been nice especially if you're there for a few days.

Yelp
If I can give zero star, I will. Everything about tha hotel is Juliet horrible! Before my wedding day, I stayed in the bridal suite before my wedding day. And the next door partied till 4 am. I barely got any sleep. Then we have the after party in the event space. I told the manager I can bring my 10k worth of wedding flowers to the bridal suite afterwards. They told me they can keep the flowers for me till next day when I leave. But the next morning, they told me they threw out all my flowers in the trash and are not able to recover any including the vases. And it's my fault not taking it with me.

Yelp
Hotel and grounds are beautiful but after that it's truly a nightmare. Front Desk couldn't find my reservation and when they did it was for the wrong night! After getting that fixed ( 25 mins later ) the front desk clerk said he gave me my ID back and after another 5 mins he found it under his keyboard! Fast forward I paid to upgrade to a suite and once we got into the room around midnight I started to have and allergy attack so I called the front desk to see if hotel was pet friendly and they said absolutely not! No pets allowed! Well it was so bad we checked out at 4am because I couldn't stand it any longer. Finally next day when we were home I checked my CC statements and we were charged 3x !!!! Crazy I called the hotel and it's been over 1.5 days and still no call back from hotel! I will post again if they get back to me and let you know how things were handled

Yelp
we booked this hotel for my niece's wedding at park chateau. we booked on line for 219.00 for one night. upon leaving we had to ask for our receipt and was unpleasantly surprised at all the various taxes and destination fee. needless to say it came to $294. I have now learned you must ask about and dispute these charges prior to staying there or anywhere.

Yelp
This was a gorgeous hotel. Quiet and amazing service. The food and drinks were outstanding. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This hotel was gorgeous. Great service, fantastic food and drinks, larger than average and well appointed room. I was here with a work group but would love to return for a family trip, or an adult trip. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place literally gave me agita for 10 months. The only reason why I gave this place two stars are for two people; Elizabeth and Phoebe. If it wasn't for meeting Elizabeth 4 weeks prior to my wedding, at the tasting non the less, I would have had not one ounce of hope for my wedding day at this venue. Let us rewind back 10 months when the planning had just begun. I was "working" with a woman, Inez, who did nothing but promise me everything that the Chateau Grande did not allow (found this out after she left). Five months before my wedding, my parents were in town from Florida and wanted to see the venue and had a few questions they wanted to discuss in person at the venue. Since Inez was no longer there, I was passed on to Nora, who was the most unprofessional and third most unhelpful employee at this place. Not fully to Nora's fault, but she was the one who told us all the of things Inez promised weren't actually doable. Clearly upset and aggravated we continued questioning the severe disconnect-- her most used response was "that's above my pay grade". And had the audacity to say she did us a favor by staying past her shift time to "answer" our questions. I was then passed along to another unhelpful employee, Alisha. Alisha, who happens to be a manager, was supposed to make everything right and smooth things over. I was told I was going to have a face to face meeting with her and the GM, Sam, but settled for a zoom meeting, where Sam didn't show up. Alisha promised she was going to work with us to make the day perfect. Sounded promising. She did nothing. Four weeks prior to my wedding Alisha set up a tasting for me. She said she was not going to be at the hotel that date but there would be someone if we had any questions. As the food started coming out, I questioned the server what exactly it was that we were eating. She stated it was what we chose for our food. My heart dropped because we did no such thing. We weren't even told to choose anything by Alisha. Luckily this is where Elizabeth came in (who truly deserves 10 stars) to save everything. Elizabeth pulled our chart, which was absolutely empty and sat with us for four hours that night building the perfect menu, collecting my vendor information, and running through everything. She was in touch with both me and my mom the last few weeks leading up to my wedding. On the day of my wedding, still completely skeptical and upset by the venue, Elizabeth managed to reassure me. The bridal attendant, Phoebe, was beyond amazing. She was helpful, friendly, sweet, and on it when it came to fluffing my dress and straightening my vail. It was because of both Elizabeth and Phoebe that I felt at ease at my wedding. It's really is a shame that there is such a disconnect at this beautiful venue. Weddings are stressful to begin with and they just added to it up until the very end. I truly hope no one has to go through what I did with this venue.

Yelp
We had our wedding a few weeks ago at the Chateau Grande. I honestly have no words for how amazing the venue, Alisha, Neesh, Jade, and all the staff who helped us put together our event were. They helped us pull off such a wonderful, amazing wedding. We had to postpone our destination wedding due to COVID but luckily, we found this perfect venue.. with only a few months to plan! Alisha, the hotel's Director of Events, was really on top of things and helped us tremendously and even sorted out all the little details for us. Neesh was our maitre'd, and she made sure our day would go without any issues, and that the entire staff were on top of things and coordinated with our vendors. Jade, our bridal attendant, was very sweet and really took care of me. The food from the David Burke's restaurant was truly out of this world.. from the high-end cocktail hour food to our classy, delicious dinner, and to the tasty dessert! Not only that, their rooms were designed beautifully. The bridal suite was a dream (spacious, beautiful and was the perfect backdrop for our getting ready pictures). Our guests loved their rooms as well, and front desk was extremely accommodating. Everything you'd want in a fun, successful, beautiful wedding you'll find at the Chateau Grande. It was exactly how we imagined it'd be! If you are having second thoughts about this venue, DON'T! They truly will exceed your expectations.

Yelp
We were guests at the Park Chateau two weeks ago, and we decided to stay overnight at the Chateau Grande Hotel. We couldn't resist when we saw the lobby. The price was worth the stay being that we were traveling in the AM. What a pleasant surprise to have Manhattan style accommodations here in Central Jersey! The rooms were clean and decorated so tastefully. Added bonus is the David Burke restaurant Orchard Park and bar. The pear beverage is my fave!!

Yelp
Hello! I recently attended my second wedding at the Park Chateau that was again one of the most beautiful weddings! Our night ended in a very upsetting way when we arrived at this hotel. My family tried to check in to our rooms that were booked under my nephews wedding block. Upon check in, we were told they unfortunately had to give our rooms to a different party because they were overbooked. My credit card was on file from months ago. I sat in the lobby from 11am - 1am until I was finally put into a hotel room. It was such an embarrassing mess and apparently from other guests at the hotel, they told us the same thing happened to them! I could not believe the bride and groom were not given a room until 1 am and ended their wedding night arguing to demand a room. For future bride and grooms, I would recommend using the Marriott that is located several minutes from the Park Chateau. We used them for our first wedding block at the Marriott and were treated with such kindness. The Chateau Grande has poor management and unfortunately does not know how to run a business properly. My poor nephew and his wife were devastated. All they tried to do was offer him a free dinner for the two of them. They also did not call to even apologize about what went down. They only offered them the dinner because my sister called very upset about this treatment.

Yelp
Where do I begin? My wife and I decided on the Chateau Grand for our wedding on relatively short notice. Our coordinator was Hope, whom was very helpful and accommodating, but that's where it ended. On the coldest day in years, there was no one at the door to take our coats. The venue space that we paid for in full was not prepared prior to our arrival. Not only that it was poorly insulated and the fireplace was clearly not at its hottest, despite the team having ample notice and time to prepare the space for our arrival. We paid for champagne, open bar, Hors d'oeuvre, and their 'best' menu items. We were instead given scant portions and had very poor guest coverage. The staff trickled in with food and refreshments, despite the place being empty outside of our guests. As the Chateau Grand was unable to adequately warm the room that we paid for to a comfortable temperature we had to be moved to one of the other spaces. This transition took their staff in the upwards of an hour, while our guests congregated in the lobby. We eventually were walked to the dinner space with our guests and were then seated. We made the most of our night, with no thanks to the staff at Chateau Grand. To make matters worse, one of their staff members whom we had no dealings with decided it was appropriate to interrupt our wedding reception to tell us that we had to be out in 15 minutes, despite just being served our dinner mere minutes ago. At that point we were not served dessert. Overall we were not treated like paying customers, instead key members of the staff behaved as if it was a charity operation or some outreach event. Fortunately, we enjoyed family and friends but would never recommend this place to a soul. I would hope that our treatment was not racially motivated but I would be lying if I told you I didn't believe it.

Yelp
The hotel is gorgeous, but it's too bad that the front desk staffs people who are not friendly and pretty much rude. I've never been to a hotel that when you call the front desk, they answer with 'someone already picked up your food'. Not hello or the name of the hotel. When I acted confused at that greeting there was a response akin to 'well what do you want?' When I arrived there was no one at the desk to check me in or anything for at least 10 minutes. I wasn't sure if something happened. When the girl arrived, she was laughing and no acknowledgment or apology. Very weird. When I needed to call and request a hotel receipt for business, a woman answered and said she would send it, and acted put out that asked to confirm which email address she was sending it to. It turns out she didn't have one, so I'm glad I asked. This really brings down the quality of an expensive hotel and it seems like and easy fix.

Yelp
I recently got married on 8.27.2021 and the exceptional service, amazing food, staff, and the venue's beauty, inside and outside, was perfect. Everyone is super accommodating and makes sure you have everything exactly as you planned from start to finish. We had a large room block as well and they worked with us and made booking extremely easy. It is the perfect place for one of the most important days in your life! I would do it all over again and we can't wait to go back for dinner.

Yelp
1 night stay while doing a little recon for my wedding venue. The hotel from the outside is lovely especially for something in the middle of jersey! But the staff is rude it all seems like you're a giant inconvenience when you are there and it's not as "luxury" as they'd like to have you believe. the rooms are small and unimpressive, they are not doing room service due to Covid (not sure how that makes sense since they have a full service restaurant attached and let guests walk around drinking in the lobby), there are no tubs in any of the rooms and upon check in they ask you to sign a list of "rules" that includes no noise after 11pm in public spaces or drinking anything in the in the lobby that isn't from their bar. which I suppose would be fine but Is not enforced I heard loud people all night through the paper thin walls and doors. Just not at all as luxurious as they want you to believe.

Yelp
If it hadn't been for Covid, I would have never stayed here for our wedding as we lost our original hotel to get ready at and house our guests. First phone call with Sam, GM, was an absolute nightmare and I should have just walked away then. SUPER RUDE to me, as I was the inconvenience of a lifetime, after I asked what their website was and where I could see pictures of the suites. Hung up never to even think about this place again and received a call back from Loretta, who profusely apologized and after meeting & speaking multiple times, developing what I thought was a repoire, especially after finding out how horribly the place was being run and thinking she was actually "helping me"; well did I get the shock of a lifetime! Not only did the cleaning staff THROW AWAY the garment bag for my $5k wedding dress, shoe box for my $150 wedding shoes and an assortment of other things from our bridal suite; I was told by their rude staff that housekeeping didn't throw away anything and to make matters worse, "that I have been a problem from the beginning" by Sam the GM in response to how am I supposed to get my ballgown home!? Based upon the above reviews, I guess I'm not the "only problem"....

Yelp
I am by no means a hotel snob, but jeez for this place only being open a year? Idk how it so bad. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. I'm 30, I shouldn't be able to tell the bed is that uncomfortable and lumpy that it made a difference in my sleep. This hotel was poorly and cheaply built. Majority of the staff is so unprofessional, picking up the font desk phone 'yea' or showing up with extra towels in a cutoff shirt. The rooms are small, no microwave (this is only important if you have a kid) and the walls are paper thin. I mean, I could hear everytime any room around me or above me flushed the toilet. You can legit hear it in the walls going down the pipes. These are all small things one at a time but overall, for a $500+ a night??? It shouldn't be like this. The AC did work well so thanks for that. Check in and check out were a nightmare, our cards for our room weren't activated correctly so we had to go down twice to have that fixed, check out took 30 min at the front desk bc the clerk couldn't figure out the computer. It was all just unorganized and messy. Such A bad experience, I would never stay there or recommend their hotel or venue.
