Come for the view... the food is good also. My first trip to Boulder but I expect to come back. I had heard of this area for the hikes and was told if you can get your name on the list, to absolutely dine here. They are very nice and we were fortunate to get a seat outside on the patio looking directly at the mountains. With that food, who would even notice the food. I went with the traditional, or "Chautauqua" breakfast with eggs and chose sausage as my meat choice. For the side I had fresh fruit and it didn't come with toast so I had to order this extra. For a drink, just a simple iced tea.
For starters, there are some places that make freshly brewed iced tea and some that don't... this place does not make it freshly brewed and if they are to write back saying they do... I would have to strongly disagree or at least, the glass I had was not "fresh". My eggs were okay, but really how can you make bad scrambled eggs? The sausage was okay... they are link sausage and nothing special about them; not spicy or again, anything special.
I know they had other dishes, but I really wanted eggs and when it comes to egg choices, it seems to be this, an omelette or eggs Benedict. I'm used to a few more choices especially when it comes to eggs such as being able to add things to the egg scramble. So, if it weren't for the view, I don't know that I would come back to this place. This isn't to say the food isn't good but there are other choices in Boulder.
