Chautauqua Dining Hall

Positive dining experience before catching a concert at the auditorium. Food was good. I didn’t love that the sauce on the fried chicken sandwich was super acidic, but everything else was great. Portions were generous. Service was attentive.

What a gem! You can’t beat the location at the foot of the flatirons and with the large park. When I read that there was a dining hall, I was expecting like quick, simple food. I was wrong! The food was not simple at all. It was delicious! We tried the poutine, a salad, the pancakes, and coffee. Delicious!!! The service was great, everyone was very nice, and quick! We sat inside because it was a little chilly in the morning, but the inside was gorgeous! I would love to sit outside, as well. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

We had a really nice time going to the holiday tea time as a family. We made reservations for tea time earlier in the year, knowing we would need time to align 4 people's schedules. The tea began with beverages including an offer of Prosecco. The waiter confirmed our dietary restrictions (one vegetarian in the group). Prosecco was followed by a shot glass of hot butternut squash soup with apples and arugula. Hot water was delivered next and we selected our teas. The next thing to arrive was the three-tiered serving stand with scones and asparagus wrapped in phillo dough (with or without prosciutto) on the top layer. The second layer had chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, a pear hibiscus treat on toast and cucumber sandwiches. The third tier is the dessert one - it had a gingerbread cake with the most delicious honey something garnish, a mint mousse and a little lemon tart. I am surprised at how full I still am from eating lots of little foods - they were delicious and I'm grateful they had vegetarian options. The location is amazing, check out their website for history and details. This is absolutely a place you'll want to take someone you plan to impress or pamper.

This is a beautiful place to enjoy a meal. We had breakfast here and I got the smoked salmon Benedict, which I loved. My dining companions weren't as enamored with their breakfasts (blintzes and avocado toast) but they still enjoyed them. The food is also very reasonably priced. I would love to come back again.

Beautiful old house converted into a restaurant. We were greeted & sat right away. Service was excellent. My fiancé had a pineapple mimosa which was great as were the churro Binets. The burger was good. The menu said the fries were home cut but they were soggy shoestring like out of a bag. Her Salmon egg Benedict had an egg that was overcooked so lacking the juices that one would normally get from egg Benedict. There was a surprise on the ticket of a mandatory 4% kitchen surcharge. Had he food been overly wonderful I would have gladly tipped the cook, but given the “okay” food I was sorely disappointed that I had to tip the cook 4%. Overall was good experience but may or may not return.

Such a lovely restaurant! Our large group ate there four nights in a row and the staff was so friendly every time. They accommodated us with a completely vegan menu and each dish was delicious! They provided us with creative and unique options. They also had some unique drinks like a cucumber cilantro margarita, sangria with prickly pear puree, and multiple flavors of mimosas. They have options like Kombucha as well. It did get a little loud from the chatter but overall it was still a great experience and our group enjoyed it.

We’ve been coming here for decades and while the views remain the same (amazing), the dishes continue to evolve with each passing year. While not every dish is a hit (macaroni, onion soup) the menu as a whole is an offering of classics with contemporary twists. Tofu scramble, bison burger, and salmon eggs benedict were table favorites this visit. Visit during less crowded times for a relaxing meal, friendly service, and the ambience of the historic dining hall. Then walk off the meal on the nearby trails to make it a great day as always in Boulder.

We recently stopped by Chautauqua Dining Hall before a concert without a reservation. Despite the busy evening, the gracious hostess found a table for us promptly. Our server, Gabe, ensured we received fast service so we wouldn’t miss the concert. The food was delicious. The beet "steak" sandwich, which was both healthy and tasty. The chicken with orange glaze was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Overall, it was an excellent pre-concert meal. I highly recommend Chautauqua Dining Hall for its exceptional service and delightful cuisine.
