The Best New Restaurants in the Seattle Area, March 2025

"Cheers! Hong Kong is the newest dim sum spot on the Hill; it soft-opened in November in the huge, 2,000-square-foot space formerly home to Lionhead. The shop is serving a large menu of Hongkonese classics alongside the dim sum small plates, e.g., soup noodles, fried rice, and baked spaghetti — as well as, per the name, beer and craft cocktails. Owner Sen Mao, who also owns Dumpling the Noodle in Wallingford and Kirkland, says he’s long wanted to open a shop on Broadway, and with a menu designed for sharing, a flashy neon interior, and a list of colorful and very Instagrammable drinks, Cheers! HK is in a pretty perfect location for his concept." - Harry Cheadle

Cheers Hong Kong is mainly dim sum disappointment - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Capitol Hill Chinese spot from the same team behind Dumpling The Noodle has a long menu of promising dim sum dishes and plenty of reservation availability, even for groups of eight to bust in with little notice. But unfortunately, you can expect blandness in droves. Pork and shrimp wonton filling tastes muted in a way that their (also muted) chili oil can’t revive. Garlic green beans are void of necessary salt. Olive and daikon-studded fried rice sounds exciting, but is undercooked and underwhelming. And the signature roast duck is flabby, tough, and served with a gooey sauce reminiscent of green apple Jolly Ranchers mixed with mayonnaise—a combination as unsettling as toothpaste and orange juice. There are some decent fried vegetable wontons, crunchy spring rolls, and pork dumplings packed with fresh dill (finally, examples of flavor). But they’re not enough to offset the misses. While the restaurant’s easy-to-book nature and fun neon sign-inspired wall art make us inclined to recommend Cheers Hong Kong as a last resort, you can do better. Food Rundown Crunchy Daikon Chinese Olive Fried Rice Technically, the name’s not wrong. Undercooked rice is crunchy. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Tan Tan Noodles What appears to be limp supermarket spaghetti sits in a waterlogged sauce that doesn’t have much life injected into it. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo Rose Roasted Duck There’s much better Chinese duck to be had in this city. Go to them. Seek greatness. Pork Dill Dumpling The dill-infiltrated pork filling is nice and fragrant without tasting like a complete pickle attack. If all hope is lost, order these. photo credit: Aimee Rizzo" - Aimee Rizzo

Saw this place from a social media post and was excited for it. Our whole table was disappointed. We tried the fish balls, green beans, dumplings, duck and a few other things. The fish balls and dumplings were kinda hard and not hot. Green bean tasted kind of stale. We ordered the duck cause my mom loves it and there was barely any meat. I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Whoever did the review on IG also needs to have their taste buds checked lol.

Google
Nice and clean restaurant but food is pretty mediocre in terms of taste and authenticity. HK Milktea 3.5/5 - not bad but nothing outstanding either. You can find something of similar quality in an Asian market juice box. Shrimp omelette rice with “tomato sauce” 3/5 - the shrimp omelette itself is quite alright in terms of flavor and texture but the advertised tomato sauce was basically ketchup which spells a basic lack of effort. The kitchen could have done a much better job on that tomato sauce mixing a little of ketchup with actual cooked and sliced tomatoes. Just putting ketchup underneath the omelette is plain lazy. Beef noodles 3/5 - the soup was good but the noodles and beef was pretty ordinary in terms of flavor and texture. String beans 1/5 - last dish to be served on our table and the most disappointing. Just by the looks of it from the photo, you can tell it is not appealing at all. No prep work done on cutting the rough edges of it and not much flavor on the dish. Try the same dish in Din Tai Fung and you can tell the difference. Overall, the restaurant has a nice ambience but the food was very mediocre. Definitely could be better if not for a lack of trying on the kitchen’s part.

The two waitresses were soooo sweet, welcoming, and attentive. The food was delicious! We loved the big portions so we can enjoy leftovers. Highly recommend!

Google
Definitely love the HK 茶餐厅vibe! The beef vocal Bun is so tasty. And the Causeway bay Pork Hock on rice reminds me of the ones I always had when I was in Guangzhou. The I love the pickled pepper in the spicy beef dumplings. We also tried the pearl pork meatball, reminds me of the ones made by my mom’s besties. Such a great place in Capitol Hill, Seattle. Definitely recommended☺️

Google
Great place to get Hong Kong food! Everything was flavorful, not too salty or oily, and lots of unique foods you can’t get else where! My favorite was the black bean fish! I’d come back!

Google
Cliff notes version: 4 stars for the selection for their happy hour; 3 stars for the overall food. Conflicted about this review. The food was affordable but varied greatly in flavor and quality; however, the servers were well attentive and the restaurant was clean. I thoroughly enjoyed the dim sum and the spring rolls. The dill dumplings, on the other hand, left something to be desired. The dumpling was dry and overcooked. And, the tam tam noodles were far too sweet -- tasted like you dumped peanut butter into noodles I'd probably come back overall, just avoid a few items.

Google
Enjoyed the food. I recommend Salt and Pepper Squid and is something I wound try again. Lychee old fashioned was nice but would have preferred a different whiskey. Pig ears is more of an acquired taste but remember portion sizes are huge and order comes fast. So order accordingly

A friend mentioned they were having their soft opening and made a reservation. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated promptly. Menus were placed on the table and water was offered. The first great thing was that we were not rushed and given sufficient time to peruse the menu. We settled on our choices and the server was friendly and fast. The noodles arrived first, followed by the dumplings and the lemon fried wings. They all arrive at a nice pace and all cooked to perfection. The noodles were soft with the right amount of seasonings and meat. The dumplings were sublime and served at a temperature that made them easy to enjoy. The desserts had the right amount of sweetness and tasted fresh. All in all a perfect meal. If I didn't know this was their soft opening, I would have never guessed as all was to our satisfaction. The only constructive criticism would be to make sure the banana cream baos have the same amount of cream. The pricing was perfect as well. Another place to add to my rotation of reliable restaurants. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
First dinner in Seattle, Washington with my niece... After graduating from Rice University in Houston, my niece landed a job in Seattle. I volunteered to help her move into her new apartment. To celebrate, we decided to go to a Chinese restaurant called "Cheers! Hong Kong" It did not disappoint! From the moment we entered the beautifully decorated establishment to the end of our delicious meal, the server was attentive, welcoming, and cheerful! We shared the Roast Duck platter which came with buns, plum sauce, and sliced cucumbers to make little sandwiches. There also was another dipping sauce and a powder that went well with the boneless duck and cucumbers! My niece let me eat all of the crispy duck skin from the remainder of the duck - so she could take the leftover duck meat to work for lunch the next day! We also shared the Shrimp Dumplings that were a Happy Hour special! The wrapper was thin, not starchy, and held the filling in well! I saw the Signature Frozen bear Lemon Iced tea on the menu and had to have it! The cute bear is made from Iced tea so it doesn't dilute the taste! Isn't that clever?!?!? Overall, this was a fantastic experience! We were the first customers of the day and had the whole place to ourselvesfor a while before other people arrived. Thanks for taking us in without reservations! We really enjoyed our visit!

Yelp
Went with full intention of one menu, then unfortunately it turns out it recently changed menu completely, possibly sold but kept name. Menu now is an interpretation of HK food, but retained no taste or flavor of such. Hainen chicken didn't taste right. Lo mein with meats but had a weird sauce on the noodles. Ha Cao (shrimp dumplings) tasted like reheated frozen food. If you are expecting anywhere close to HK cafe style food, don't bother. If you are looking for more main land china food trying to pretend it's HK food, then go right ahead. Good luck!

Yelp
We were excited to dine at Cheers! Hong Kong after reading all of the reviews on Yelp! The venue itself looks inviting, with cozy booths and a large photo mural of the Hong Kong skyline. When we first sat down, we were immediately greeted by servers and given water and an opportunity to order drinks (we both got Lychee Old Fashioneds). The menu had a great array of options, and we sampled a lot of dishes. There were some good dishes, but overall, we were pretty disappointed with our food. Many of the dishes felt overly processed. It tasted like the food was bought in bulk, frozen, and then cooked and seasoned. Some dishes were good; many were dry and bland. -The Lychee Old Fashioned: I love the concept, but it ultimately did not work. The Lychee flavor was good but the other ingredients (bourbon, orange, bitters) did not stand up to it. It also felt diluted. I'd recommend a stronger bourbon; this needed a burn to accent the sweet notes. Crispy Squid. The picture on the menu showed different cuts of calamari (rings and tentacles, all lightly breaded). What we got was large rings, the size of onion rings. These were well seasoned and sauced. However, the texture of the squid felt off. This is one example of a dish that feels like it was frozen, thawed and heated per order. Nanjjing Salted Duck. Served cold. One of the better dishes. It was well seasoned and the lemon chili sauce was nice. HK Classic Boa. This dish immediately fell apart. It was heavy sauced, and the boa bun ripped in half. Despite the saucing, the pork hock felt dry and bland. Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs. This was very flavorful. The best dish of the night. House Sweet Chili Chicken. Decent flavor but another dry dish. This also feels like it was previously frozen and then heated and sauced. Garlic String Beans. This was the weakest dish of the night. Despite wanting some green on our pates, we barely touched this dish. The beans were soggy and had a weird oily-creamy texture. There was very little garlic flavor. BBQ Beef Dumplings Another failure. I wouldn't guess BBQ if it wasn't in the name. Very dry, and overcooked. Pork Shu Mei. Very dry and lacking flavor. It tasted better with added chili oil. We had a lot of items, but this was still a very pricy dinner, especially since we didn't finish a lot of the dishes. It looks like Cheers! HK Had a lot of strong dishes when they opened, but we did not have that experience tonight. I hope they are able to finesse their dishes in the future. In the meantime, there are some more authentic (and flavorful options) in the ID. Id give it 2.5 stars (but halves not allowed).

Yelp
So great to have a Hong Kong restaurant on Capitol Hill! I absolutely love the signature duck, the skin is so crispy. They also have dimsum for dinner and the siu mai is huge. The drink selection is a favorite too - the bear lemon tea is too cute and the red bean smoothie has the right amount of sweetness.

Yelp
The happy hour price points were amazing and offered a great price for some truly great quality food. The food server was on point and offered me a reminder of the happy hour pricing beginning within twenty minutes of me being sat down. Easy music and felt casual, comfortable and very satisfied over this delicious choice of dim sum for myself. I'll be back!

Yelp
Looks like HK-style cha chaan tengs are expanding upwards from the CID since we now have this place! I'm pretty excited since I ate a good bunch of similar restaurants like this in Chinatown from back when I was little. I got here with a friend on a Saturday night around 7pm, and it wasn't too full inside. There's an ambience similar to that of other HK restaurants I've been to, especially that of Imperial Kitchen in Belltown; there's pictures of both city lights and HK's skyline but without the city lights. The menu consists of regular cha chaan teng favorites I usually see in similar restaurants in the CID. Service was also fast and prompt. My friend and I ordered the following: - The pork shrimp wonton in chili was probably our most favorite in that it was fresh, hot and not too spicy. - The garlic string beans was definitely a must to get here; it wasn't too garlicky and tasted just right. - The siu mai was all right, just your usual as if you were going for dim sum elsewhere. - The curry chicken on rice was a relatively smaller portion than what I expected given it's a rice fish but the meat tasted great. - The baked curry braised beef on rice was also really good to eat. Very filling and cheesy, and the rice to cheese ratio was just right. This place is relatively pricey compared to other HK-style cafes in the CID, and Cap Hill is notorious for being difficult to find parking around peak hours, so these two factors keep me from coming back anytime soon. When I do, I will try their other stuff.

Yelp
I got to try quite a few of their dishes by ordering 2 of the Seattle Restaurant Week sets with my friends, which means I can definitively say this restaurant is mid. Seattle is a city with some amazing Cantonese cuisine and this place does NOT get to join the ranks of Hong Kong Bistro and crew in International District with that status. Besides the food not being amazing, I would disagree with the other reviews touting the reasonable pricing - the serving sizes are small to average and I certainly wouldn't be impressed if I was paying full price. Pork Shrimp Siu Mai (3.75/5): Strong mushroom flavor. Solid, but nothing to write home about. Beef Chow Fun (1.75/5): Super bland, literally not enough salt much less other items. The noodles are super odd texture - they needed to be rehydrated more; instead of a bouncy texture, they would just disintegrate. House Fried Chicken Wings (4.25/5): My favorite item I got to try. These came out piping hot, super crunchy, while still being juicy and tender inside. Good sodium levels and a bit of white pepper to cut through the grease. Ovaltine Lava Toast (4/5): Think a french toast sandwich dusted with cocoa powder and a malty custard inside. Baked Tomato Sauce Braised Beef Spaghetti (2/5): Braised beef was actually cooked really well, but the sauce and spaghetti was just the not good, one dimensional and I didn't want more than 2 bites. Classic Roast Duck (3.75/5): The duck itself was savory and pretty moist. The accoutrements were really odd - the pickled radish completely overpowered the duck. Note, this is roast duck, not Peking style roast duck, so no crispy skin and eats a bit oilier. BBQ Pork Fried Rice (3.75/5): Good char and they've done a good job of coating every individual rice grain with fat and flavor. The BBQ pork was a bit chewy and didn't have a strong flavor.

Yelp
I think this is a great spot for happy hour when you want some good bits but not fantastic. This place had a nice atmosphere where it was cozy and well lit and decorated. However the food was a bit lacking in terms of flavor. Start of the siu mai, it didn't taste super traditional to me. Not sure if this was something they were going for or what...like didn't feel super meaty like what I would get at dim sum places and felt more grainy (like flour?) The noodles were on the blend side but still good. The pork short ribs were good but leaned a bit sweeter than what I'm used to sadly...

Yelp
I was really excited to eat at this place as I was craving authentic Asian food and the pics looked good, but was thoroughly disappointed. $45 for a salted duck+pork hock plate, rangoons, and some tiny spicy wontons, where nothing was particularly delicious? Ooof not very worth it imo I would have felt happier getting a roast duck from uwajimaya and cooking noodle soup myself. They did give us 3 sauces to go with things and even though they were unique from other places, they still felt watery. Plus, the soup that came with the dish tasted incredibly bland, like water.

Yelp
This place was kinda how I imagined it to be, more fusion with American food than authentic Hong Kong food. It was okay overall. Food wise, it wasn't too bad. We got 5 appetizers and 6 entrees. I got the curry braised beef, the beef was pretty tender but the curry sauce just didn't taste like authentic curry sauce. The braised beef with rice roll was pretty good though. The baked rice with tomato sauce tasted mid, the sauce was too tomato-e (a little too sour). Service wise, the servers were nice! But the food took quite a while to come out. One dish took like almost 30 minutes. Ambiance wise, the restaurant is small but the vibe looks cool. Clean also. It has a bar too, which is cool if you are into that.

Yelp
The HH was really good here! We definitely ate too much and all of it was good. I love that they have several vegan options and vegetarian ones too. The drinks are adorable as most have bear shaped ice cubes. The service was attentive and efficient. It was a little dead when we were seated but it filled up quick with a variety of folks including couples and families mostly. There's not a ton of tables and they're pretty close together. Would definitely go back for happy hour!

Yelp
A fun little place at the end of Broadway that was just opened several months ago. The decorations are cute though the seating feels a little bit tight. The foods are overall good but they taste more like fusion Hong Kong dishes. We ordered 8 dishes: . Curry fish ball: tastes ok but the curry flavor is not strong enough . Salt and pepper squid: Squids are fresh but need more seasoning. . Shrimp dumplings: shrimp are also fresh but the dumplings skin break easily . Wontons in chili sauce: packed with great flavor (both the wontons and sauce) . Beef chow fun: mediocre as it misses the most important part which is the wok flavor. . Shrimp with egg over rice (black pepper sauce): our favorite dish of the day. The sauce is heavenly! . Sizzling pot with beef and Sizzling pot with curry beef: Both are great. Beef is really tender. They also gave a free drink for each person during lunch and their Hong Kong milk tea is really good. The price overall is acceptable considering it's on Broadway. Service is was also attentive so we will come again to try other dishes.

Yelp
New Hk style cafe in Cap Hill- a little small with 10 tables but they do have a party room upstairs. The classic duck was flavorful with super crispy skin. A bit expensive in my opinion for $30. The daikon and olive fried rice and beef rice rolls were good classics! The cucumber salad was lacking flavor since it didn't have a sauce or dressing on top so I would skip that one.

Yelp
We initially came in on May 27, 2025 and I couldn't stop thinking about a dish so we came back today on June 19, 2025. HOWEVER, they got rid of their best dish which was the salt and pepper fish and this is the only reason why we came back. I'm told they actually got rid of all seafood dishes. I couldn't stop thinking about the fish dish and wishing I could have it again, even during and after our meal here tonight! LoL Tonight we had the garlic green beans, pork hock rice, and the hang roast duck with buns. The dishes were just ok, but I will tell you I'm not thinking about these dishes after leaving... not like the salt and pepper fish.... 5 stars for our first visit. Second visit gets 3 stars and I'm not itching to come back like before. Someone message me if the salt and pepper fish dish comes back.

Yelp
Cheers! Hong Kong took over the former Lionhead location on North Broadway-Capitol Hill in early November 2024. This venture is from the folks who also oversee operations at two Dumpling The Noodle sites. I had the opportunity to check this spot out with CC, a fellow Yelp/IGer (12/10/24). I somehow managed to have merciful southbound traffic and even found a parking spot right out front. I am glad to have made reservations in advance as I noticed the volume of people that began to gather by the entrance for dinner service. We were seated immediately at a two top. The vibrant interior decor made the bar and dining area seem a bit larger. This is what was ordered and shared: Beef Chow Fun - when the serving plate was brought, we both were skeptical at first. Appeared to have more noodles, but found the beef hiding underneath. The striking part was that it was rather bland in flavor. We agreed that we've had better versions in the CID. Fish in Black Bean Sauce - this one was much more flavorful with the black bean, onions, green onions, red and green peppers. The fish was generous and nicely prepared. Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings - these were plump sizable flats, seasoned, and fried well. Black Sesame Tiramisu - I was surprised to see this served in a plastic container with plastic spoons. This for me was illustrative why I get cringey with Asian fusion. Nice Cantonese and HK menu selections, however, pretty pricey plus after you factor in street parking. Good to give it a try to see what the buzz was all about. I'll stick with other faves in the CID.

Yelp
Chicken Fried Rice: The fried rice had good 镬气, and there was a good amount of chicken. Baked Curry Fish Fillet on Spaghetti: Yummy curry sauce and nice fish fillets. Good amount of cheese and loved the crispy cheese on the edge. During lunch service, you can get a free drink out of the choices HK milk tea, coffee, and lemon tea. We got the HK milk tea (hot) and lemon tea (hot). The HK milk tea was lovely, very creamy and had a strong tea flavor. However, I wished it was served hotter. The lemon tea was perfectly hot, but too sweet. This restaurant had an upscale 茶餐厅 vibe. The prices are pretty expensive, for the amount of food given.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal here! My husband and I came for lunch and the food was tasty and service was friendly! We found some nearby street parking and walked over. We came at 2pm before they closed and were able to get seating. They're running a special where you can get a complimentary drink during lunch (milk tea, lemon tea, or coffee). The milk tea was good! Ambiance is modern and clean. It's a small little restaurant but truly a gem! Food: - siu mai - very tasty! 10/10 - cucumbers - 10/10 - shrimp egg rice with tomato sauce - 10/10 - char siu hombow 10/10 - chicken wings - 8/10 Overall, a great spot with tasty options! Would come back again to try their other items!

Yelp
Went here at around 7/8 and it was full so they put us on the waitlist but we were the next people in line and it ended up being like 5 minutes. The staff quickly cleaned and sat us after them and they were very friendly. The place is well decorated and looks cool. However, overall we found that we were not impressed with the food and overall found it pretty disappointing. We tried enough different foods that I feel pretty confident I wouldn't want to try this spot again, then again we didn't pick any of the "favorite" items on the menu but we felt like we ordered dishes that we expected to be classics and should be good. They did only open 3 weeks ago tho so maybe I'll give it another shot after a few months to see any improvements after being open longer. The only dish I would consider good was the salt and pepper squid, everything else we found extremely disappointing. Salt and pepper squid - 8/10, very good Shu mai 4/10 - couldn't really taste the shrimp flavor, very flavorless meat flavor Green beans 4/10. We kept remarking it has like a congealed sauce on it and it just didn't look appetizing, wasn't crunchy or crisp and just drenched in rhe sauce . We couldn't finish this Beef chow fun 5/10 - the onions were overpowering and the noodles were thin, felt a bit undercooked Chili oil dumplings - 5/10. I felt like the dumpling itself was very mid, it had very little flavor and relied too heavily on the sauce for any flavor. The inside just tasted soo flavorless meat

Yelp
饮杯! Cheers! Hong Kong, has opened on Cap-Hill! The restaurant vibe has those nostalgic feelings of being in a tiny hole in the wall restaurant but a classier. With panoramic wallpaper of the neon signs on Temple Street to the scenic views of Victoria Peak at night, a lot of the ambiance makes me nostalgic when I last visited. Being the new kid on the block, we decided to get there at 5:30 on a Friday. They open there doors for evening service starting at 5PM. The space is on the smaller side, so if you have a larger party of 4 or more, I'd recommend making reservations on YELP. Because by 6 the place was packed and people were waiting for a table. The menu is very straight forward, with fried rice and noodles, to dim sum, to general appetizers, street food and classic baked spaghetti and rice. I'd say its a lot options, but compared to other HK cafes this is a good variety, yet small selection. What we ordered: Har Gao (Classic Shrimp Dumpling 4 pcs) $7.25 Black Pepper Chicken $15.75 Braised Beef & Wonton Noodle Soup $15.75 Beef with Egg Sauce on Rice $15.75 Chicken Fried Rice $15.75 Salt & Pepper Squid $16.75 Spicy Sweet Cucumber $6.95 Mango Sago Pomelo $7.25 Sago Coconut Milk $6.25 Yuzu Mojito $15 I think out most of the dishes the Chicken Fried Rice and the Salt & Pepper Squid were the top winners. The fried rice had that great 'wok hey' that people talk about. It left us wanting more. The portion size is great for 1-2 people to share. But it was good that we ordered so much amongst the 5 of us. The Salt & Pepper Squid had a great batter and was light, with the right amount of salt and heat. 10/10 would order again. Prices were very reasonable for their location. Its not ID, and you won't find those big family style portions here, but if you're just looking for some great food at a decent price / nostalgia, then Cheers! Hong Kong is perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I know most new restaurants are still going through the kinks and problems that most restaurants go through, but I hope they continue to do well.

Yelp
Service is really friendly and a great vibe. The food was pretty slow. The Baked Tomato Braised Beef Rice was okay, but more authentic would be served with fried rice rather than plain rice. Additionally, the tomato sauce was too sour. However, the braised beef rice rolls were pretty good.

Yelp
Rounding rating up for friendly service, hopeful for their success. Quality may be inconsistent at the moment, so we'll see in the future. Soft opening for the time being (started November 7th) to train staff. Takeout orders or reservation only for dine in during this period. Limited menu during this time but it's still fairly extensive, any unavailable items are shown online. From the owner of Dumpling the Noodle comes a new Hong Kong restaurant. Under a 10 minute walk from the link, this spot serves up classics but also offers some unique items with a modern twist. I did not try any dim sum items but had the larger dishes. Despite looking fairly small, they were surprisingly filling. Classic items such as the pork chop were as expected but I thought the cheese pork cha siu over rice roll had an interesting spin. I was expecting regular cheong fun rice rolls from dim sum but they looked like Korean ddukbokki. The texture and taste was accurate to dim sum, just rolled up to look like rice cakes. Layered on top was char siu and baked cheese, which was unique and fun.

Yelp
It's not completely horrible but holy it's not great and they charge you like it's made of fukin gold. Their chow fun was horrendous. It was so cold and dry that when I bent the noodle it ripped instead of bending. The rest of the food is alright, not particularly bad, but it's so expensive and there's so much better Chinese food in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed Cheers! I had never had duck with radish wraps before, but I thought it was unique and very tasty! The fried rice was also very good and filling. It's a little on the pricey side, but still really enjoyed the food and presentation.

Yelp
Food was delicious, flavorful, meat was tender. Staff is nice but it is small area for seating!

Yelp
Great food, quick service, and good prices for happy hour! We were able to walk in at 5 and get out of there for $75.

Yelp
I really enjoyed dining here! The food came out fast, the staff were super friendly, there was no wait (I came on a weekday evening), and the interior was super cute. The menu was similar to din tai fung where you mark off what you want on a piece of paper. The variety of dim sum and their own signature dishes were very enticing as well! I wanted to try everything! I will definitely be coming back

Yelp
Great place to get Hong Kong food! Everything was flavorful, not too salty or oily, and lots of unique foods you can't get else where! My favorite was the black bean fish! I'd come back!

Yelp
The ambiance was superb, lively evening vibes with easy service. We ordered an iced HK milk tea, roast duck, green beans, bbq pork fried rice, and black sesame tiramisu. All the dishes were good but were light in flavor. Green beans had a good crunch. This was our first time having roast duck wrapped in shiso leaves. Good combination of crispy skin, fattiness, and minty flavor from the shiso. The black sesame tiramisu was yummy and had a strong black sesame flavor which we loved! Would likely come back to try their cocktails with asian inspired flavors!

Yelp
This is one of the newer HK style cafe restaurants and fortunately hits the spot, from someone who is Cantonese. This type of cuisine is not that strong in Seattle, with not much options, encouraging me to make the drive up to Richmond/Vancouver for it, but I'm glad this place is solid!! We made lunch reservations for 4 at 12pm Saturday to be safe, and it was a good call because it was fairly busy. The benefit of dining during lunch is free drink of choice, and all 4 of us opted to get the HK milk tea hot with and without sweetness. We ordered the following: - Pork shrimp wonton in chili oil - pretty solid, more Sichuan but fairly flavorful and a little spicy - Garlic string beans - not too garlicky but the green beans are pretty well cooked - Classic roasted duck - one of their signatures, a little dry but I love the fixings from hoisin sauce to sweet and sour sauce and cumin spice. They also have perilla leaves and daikon to add to the duck as opposed to the regular baos. It's good that it's $10 off as part of lunar new year special. - Cheese pork char siu over rice roll - well executed, rice rolls instead of rice or spaghetti as a baked dish - House sweet chili fried chicken - very flavorful and crunchy. One of their signatures for a reason - Braised beef and wonton noodle - this is solid, but nothing special. If you have limited stomach space, I'd skip. - Beef with egg sauce on rice and curry sauce - this is very good. Although there's a bit of rice, the whole dish is filling and satisfying. The egg is over easy which is my preference Service is decent as water refills are present and they fulfill our requests in a very timely manner. This is a lot better service than a lot of HK style cafes, perhaps to cater more towards the western audience of hospitality but the food remains close to the true traditional roots. Overall, I recommend

Yelp
Did not expect to find authentic Hong Kong cafe cuisine in Capitol Hill but this was some of the best we've had in Seattle. Cute cafe with cozy seating and lots of Hong Kong flare. Service was very attentive. We had salt and pepper squid, black pepper pork chop, shrimp omelette over rice, and baked curry beef. Everything was hot, tasty, and tasted like it would in Hong Kong. Free drink was better than any milk tea in Seattle. We will be back!

Yelp
Welcoming staff and nice decor upon entering. Had a booth seat for a late lunch and wasn't too crowded on the weekday and was presented two menus, one with the pictures and other where you fill in your order. For lunch they offered a free drink so had the iced lemon tea and iced milk tea. Both were amazing with strong tea flavors and highly recommend. On to the food we started with the curry fish balls which was tasty and wished it had a bit more of the curry sauce. The egg sauce with beef had lots of flavor and came with mushrooms too, we added a side of black pepper sauce which I felt like was needed for the dish. The baked spaghetti with chicken came after that and had a nice cheese pull and chicken was tender. Though I do think the tomato sauce was a tad on the sweet side we finished it all. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the items.

Yelp
Overall, this location takes me back home, to a certain aspect. Inside of the restaurant, it was very clean and has that Hong Kong-like environment. As far as the service goes, it was very friendly, attentive and professional. Greeting us right as you walk in, not having to wait at all, luckily. When sitting for our big party, they kindly accommodated and put tables together. The servers are quick to ask for drinks and if necessary, give us time to look at the menu versus making us feel rushed. The servers would also be attentive by checking on us from time-to-time, which made us feel like we didn't have to raise our hand to ask for them to come to our table. The food was really good and felt very Cantonese-authentic worthy. The egg over rice dish was very good and felt like I was eating this in Hong Kong again. I honestly would recommend this dish because I did not think I would eat the whole dish in one sitting. The Peking duck was alright but not the best due to it being a bit dry and the Peking duck was much smaller than we anticipated. The menu itself also was a slight disappointment because of how small the selection was but at the same time, I can understand that they are doing their best to better the food quality versus the number of items on the menu. Overall, the experience of this visit was 8/10 and would recommend to those who wants to experience Hong Kong dishes.

Yelp
Convenient location but I think they changed the chef recently? The food was really good when they first opened up until a few months ago, the quality has gone down so much. We ordered the green beans and they are so dry and undercooked. The soup comes with the chicken dishes was lukewarm warm and the rice is so mushy. Sadly, we won't be coming back!

Yelp
The food is ok- I would say that it's probably the best Chinese food you can get outside of Chinatown. The duck was dry and overcooked. The salt and pepper squid is pretty good. The fried rice is standard. Service is pretty standard but otherwise nothing to write home about but it's a decent spot if you are craving HK food but don't want to go out of your way to Chinatown.

Yelp
Super cute place decorated with hints of Hong Kong. You almost feel like you have been transported to HK. The service was amazing and the servers were kind and nice. This is a far cry from the typical Chinese restaurant where they treat you like you are lucky to be there. The food had great flavors but if you are looking for something authentic, you will be disappointed. Our favorite was the pork hock rice bowl. The sauce and flavors seasoned the rice kept you coming back for more. The beef chow din had good flavors but lacked the smoky flavors of a well cooked dish over a flaming hot wok. The black pepper fish was good. The fish was tender and the batter was flaky. The pepper sauce was good but not great. The sui mai was unique was a pleasant surprise. The meat was not firm and you can actually see and taste all the ingredients. The sweet and sour pork ribs were our least favorite. It was covered with a thick gravy that was not sweet or sour and was more like a flavorless braise.

Yelp
My first time here was so delicious! We tried a variety of dishes and all were enjoyable, the stand outs were the cucumber salad, shrimp dumplings, spicy vegan wontons and green beans. Portions are good for sharing, for two people you can order 3-6 dishes depending on appetite! Food came out quickly even though the restaurant was full.

Yelp
Amazing! Went for restaurant week (which was an outstanding deal!) so we were able to try many dishes. I would go back for exactly the same meal but there's so much that looks good I need to get more people to go with me so I can try more. Service was great and the atmosphere was cool. But it all pales compared to the food. The black sesame tiramisu was incredible! It's my new reason to go to Broadway.

Yelp
Had an amazing time at this restaurant. The food was flavorful, the prices were just right, and the vibe was perfect. Staff was very polite and food came out quicker than anticipated. Favorites of the night: * Lychee Old Fashioned * Curry Fish Balls * Pork Siu Mai * Pork Dill Dumplings * BBQ Beef Dumplings * Sweet Chili Fried Chicken Wings * Rice rolls with mixed sauce A must-visit spot for dumpling lovers and more!

Yelp
My friends and I stopped into Cheers HK for Sunday brunch, craving dim sum and good vibes - and we got both! While it's not the best dim sum I've ever had, it was still delicious and absolutely hit the spot. Great service, fast food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! Located in the old Lionshead space, the restaurant is bright and inviting, with big front windows letting in plenty of natural light. The space feels even larger thanks to a sweeping, photorealistic twilight image of Hong Kong stretching along one wall. The layout is well-organized, and the staff was quick and attentive throughout our meal. Even during a busy brunch service, our food came out fast and hot. The dim sum hit all the right notes: delicious, authentic, and light yet satisfying. Some of the biggest wins: Wonton noodle soup - light, comforting broth with tender wontons Fried rice - fluffy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor Shrimp dumplings - plump, sweet, and cooked to perfection Curry fishballs - bouncy and coated in a rich, fragrant curry Red bean smoothie - creamy and just like the red bean popsicles I loved as a kid The only dish that didn't quite work for me was the pork dumplings packed with dill. The dill was overpowering with nothing to balance it out. However, a quick dip in the leftover curry sauce from the fishballs turned it around, and I was back to smiling and slurping up every bite. As someone who's family is from Hong Kong, I was really happy to find this little bite of HK right in my backyard. Cheers HK has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation.

Yelp
A nice spread of a menu, good quality, reasonably speedy service. I'd go back, but I wouldn't order off their cocktail.

Yelp
Love the decor! And customer service was excellent ! HK styled milk tea, HK lemonade tea are complimentary during lunch hour! I got the milk tea. Tasted like home ! I got the siu mai, fried chicken wings in house sweet spicy sauce and the black peppered beef brisket with spaghetti. The latter was my least favorite . It would been great if they use steak( liked in HK ) and not beef brisket. I would like to go back to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week and was an awesome experience. We got pork fried rice, pig ears, fish fillet soup, shu mai, wings, and banana cocoa buns. The food portions were extremely generous. The shu mai was massive and some of the best I've ever had. The pig ears were also very good and refreshing and light on oil. The fried rice was tasty. My only comment is that the wings were saltier than my personal date but they came out hot and crispy. Would definitely come back. Their happy hour options look pretty good.

Yelp
It's not like this is a *terrible* 茶餐厅, but it's definitely not a great introduction to typical Hong Kong fast-casual fare. The biggest issue is that the flavors are odd. The baked pasta, which should have been savory and cheesy, instead had a sickeningly sweet taste, as if too much Worcestershire or sugar in general was added to the sauce. The dill pork wontons, though an interesting concept, tasted overpoweringly of the herb, putting us of them entirely. Instead of getting the authentic local flavors I expect at better Canto-HK spots, the food overall gave the impression of someone trying to experiment with a format that doesn't warrant it. I think you'd be better off going anywhere in CID or, actually, head to other North Shore suburbs for affordable, faster service with the HK tastes you expect.

Yelp
Dishes were alright. Medium size portions. Slightly on the pricier side. The food tasted somewhat authentically HK. I would not pay $6 for a HK naa cha. A bit ballsy to start at 22% tip .

Yelp
Without any reservation, I can tell you this is the best classic Chinese food in the county ., they've been there for a lot of years and I don't know who's cooking, but whoever it is uses the freshest ingredients and creates the most beautiful balanced flavors. The presentation is wonderful. The preparation must be grueling because everything is so beautifully chopped and cut and sliced . Bright and fresh vegetables and meat that melts in your mouth not a bad price point. Just remember they're closed on Tuesdays. Definitely this is where we go for Chinese.
