"Though it’s technically a block into Pork Gulch, this market and deli is worth the slight detour out of Russin Hill proper. That’s because the sandwiches — some of which sport locally inspired names like Chrissy Field, Willie Brown Bird, and Castro’s Cubano — make it an excellent option for lunch on the go. Order ahead online or at the outdoor walk-up window." - Lauren Saria, Eater Staff

"This shop is cozy, but the selection is vast, and the knowledgable mongers at Cheese Plus have been at it for more than a decade. Let them stock you up with dairy, crusty bread, and wine for your next outing. Or, if you’re really on the go, grab a gourmet sandwich from their deli in the back. The Caprese is a favorite thanks to fresh mozzarella, as is the Cow Hollow, made with roast beef and double-creme brie. Plan ahead, and order online here." - Paolo Bicchieri, Caleb Pershan, Eater Staff

"Cheese Plus sounds a little like a bargain basement store for, well, cheese. But walk in and you’ll realize this deli is no joke. You’re here for a sandwich (try the Willie Brown Bird with duck breast, provolone, and fig chutney), but they’ve also got everything needed for a well-stocked picnic—or the apocalypse, whichever comes first. Take a seat outside on a nice day to watch people pass by with dogs who may or may not have a better beauty routine than you. " - will kamensky, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

"Cheese Plus in Polk Gulch is offering a cheese and charcuterie boxed lunch, which also comes with crackers and baguettes that the menu describes as “tender.” They’re also stocked with an extensive assortment of drinks, chips, snacks, and sandwiches. You can pre-order for pick up online or stop by their takeout window." - Julia Chen 1

Google
The little cheese shop really punches above its weight. Its name does not do it justice for its wide and fresh selection of delectable gourmet snacks; it should be called something fancy, like “Le Fromagerie”. I often have appointments nearby, and when I’m stressed and hungry, this place has so many wonderful, comforting options. Pretty much everything I’ve tried has been very good. I have never ever seen burrata on a sandwich in SF before, and they aren’t stingy with it. The bread is always very fresh, and their drinks are pretty good, though the coffee is quite dark and bitter. For a small shop, they pack in so many tasty things - fresh cookies, twenty types of gourmet honey, crackers and breads, wine, and so many homemade jams. They have a lot of cheerful outdoor seating, and they make all the sandwiches fresh to order, which usually takes 5-15 minutes. But my favorite thing to get by far, is their $20 cheese plate. It is such an incredible deal for what you get. You go inside, tell the cheese monger about the types of cheese you enjoy, and he makes up a little board of jams, breads, cheeses, dried fruit, and nuts. It is such a fun surprise to taste his custom creations, and on a busy day, having a cheese plate for lunch somehow makes you feel like things are a little calmer, more savored, and less rushed. I will definitely go back, and if you are ever trying to plan a picnic, or want to make a fancy date night in, this place is for you.

Love it... great cheese selection, wines and chocolate... What more can you ask for! Very friendly staff too

They carry authentic Indian kulfi ice cream ; best deal for lunch is pasta salad and the tomato mozzarella ; their sidewalk cafe is great venue for reading. Must credit the owner for creating this excellent store from scratch and making it into a fine neighborhood institution. Alex is great !

Google
Great cheese options, somewhat rude workers. I've been going here for years now and I feel as if the workers have gotten worse. I'm not sure if they were mocking us when we were leaving after paying for $40 worth of things. We heard shouting about it after stepping out which seemed like mockery. I don't order sandwiches anymore because the people working over there suck. Maybe they wakeup on the wrong side every morning.

Chef Gustavo's guacamole and the Arugula Pesto are so fresh and delicious! Worth stopping by just for these 2 items but there's also lots of cheese, homemade pasta, Italian biscotti, and many other delights too.

The food here was surprisingly delicious. I will return before I leave from vacation. I loved the flavors.

Google
It’s nice to have a fine food shop in my own neighborhood. That’s what Cheese Plus is to me. I can stroll over and find products from all over the world. Charcuterie, condiments and sweets. But where this place shines is the cheese selection of course. You can approach the cold case or refrigerated section and pick up what you want. You can get advice from the cheese staff based on your taste. Or the shop can compose a cheese platter for your home or for a gift. They also have a Cheese of the Month club and can ship anywhere in the country. Choices, choices. I often stop by because CP does nicely composed sandwiches; has a coffee takeout window; and sells tasty pastries from local bakeries. You could almost say this shop is a triple plus! The owner told me today Cheese Plus has been here in Russian Hill for 15 years! Wow! For the quality, variety and family-like ambiance, let’s give it our support.

We usually buy our pasta and crackers from here this time we tried their coffee and was surprised how good it is !! Great sitting arrangements ❤️

Yelp
Some of my favorite sandwiches in SF! I also recommend the tiramisu cold brew. They offer grab-and-go food and unique, well-curated cheeses, chocolates, and other cooking ingredients. This is a great neighborhood hub that hosts local artisans and creators. I found some great gifts at their Artisan food festival. Staff is very thoughtful, helpful, and kind. I always find something when I go in!

Yelp
There is a place which has lots of cheese available in the Polk Gulch of San Francisco .Cheese Plus has lots of varieties of cheese and also a descent selection of wine to pair with the cheese. There is also a deli which offers lots of different sandwiches with many different cheese selections. There is also an outdoor cafe which offers coffee , expressos, and lattes. Cheese Plus is a cheese must if you want to add cheese to your wine in SF. This is a place where they have great cheese to grate A place to assemble your own customized cheese plate

Sally Y.

Yelp
This colorful corner cheese shop caught my eye. Once inside, you'll see all kinds of specialty foods from cheeses to jams to a great selections of wines, even Asian-inspired beef jerkeys. I bought a bottle of Lucky Dog chili sauce for my friends abroad to spice them up. This place has samples of cheese and spreads worth tasting, because they're delicious. Staff here are eager to help. From the outside, you can order sandwiches, eating al fresco, while watching people and pigeons go by.

Yelp
Well I'll be damned, a top tier sandwich spot has been under my nose this whole time. This is just proof it's hard to eat all the sandwiches. But I swear I'm gonna try. Cheese plus is making a statement about the sandwich game. Let me tell you more... We live in a sandwich society that is enamored with meats, sauces and portions. I've said it before about bread. Bread is an underrated way to elevate your sandwich in a way that is often overlooked. BUT, I did not think about cheese being able to elevate a sandwich to such lofty heights like cheese plus has done here. We are talking about an embarrassing amount of protein here but I won't hold it against them. The brie, the spread, the chicken and the bacon was like a tasty symphony in my mouth. Everything was connected here. You could tell these ingredients always wanted to be friends. The cheese on this funky chicken was a real power move and it paid off. An even more power-ish move is that I took my other half home and put it in the air fryer. Omg, it was even better. I want to continue to try all of their sandwiches but we are off to a great start. Can you throw a little extra meat on here for your guy next time? Other than that tremendous work. See you soon. (4.7 Stars)

Joanna T.

Yelp
Today was an artisan tasting at Cheese Plus. It brought makers/artisans, food distributors and brand managers face-to-face with customers. There were samples of Salumi, many cheeses, condiments and olive oils on outside tables. Taste then shop! What a great idea. But then the owner Ray wants to bring that old world feel where consumers get to ask makers & reps questions. This event makes our neighborhood really cosy.

Yelp
This is the ultimate one-stop shop for sandwiches, charcuterie boards, and picnic neccesities! My go-to is the Willie Brown Bird sandwich. Each bite is a yummy mix of savory (duck), salty (provolone), sweet (fig chutney and tomato), peppery (arugula), acidic (pickled onions) and crunch (grilled bread.)  Although the sandwich seems to have gotten smaller, it still hits the spot every time. Definitely worth the 10 to 20 minute wait. Their customer service never disappoints. Workers are always relaxed and friendly. They once forgot the duck in my sandwich, and happily remade an entirely new one for me, free of charge.  You can find this little corner deli market in the charming neighborhood of Russian Hill. Will be back soon!

Jalynne A.

Yelp
O.M.G! I'll take one of everything please! Amazing selection of cured meats, incredible cheese, olives, jams and jellies and pasta and even ready made lunches. Cookies from Germany, chocolates that look like art, lots of wine and just unique items you won't find anywhere else unless you travel to Europe. I could live here and never need to leave. If I still lived in the city this would be my weekly go -to. Great gift items as well! Sweet staff. And they make sandwiches too!

Tim P.

Yelp
It's weird that you can't order a sandwich or even SEE the menu at the deli counter. All sandwiches must be ordered from the outside window. But there's only a limited selection of chips and drinks there. Weird. But you''ll want to browse the inside for sure because it's pretty epic. I got the burrata bomb sandwich and would not get it again. Did not finish it. Discovered that I am not as much a fan of burrata as I thought. Found it messy and it overwhelmed the prosciutto. I'll know better next time. I'd had a sandwich from there before, but someone else had ordered it. I enjoyed that one a lot. Will go back. The burrata bomb is one of their most popular so it was just a matter of not being something I enjoyed.

Zach G.

Yelp
This place has everything you could want. Cheese.. plus. This is the right place to pick up charcuterie supplies, a good olive oil or bottle of wine. Sandwiches are great as well

Yelp
Cute unsuspecting outdoor deli on the side of the grocery store! Super nice for a relaxing lunch, either sitting at the few small tables right outside or as takeout. - Crissy Field: a classic turkey sub done really well! The ingredients tasted fresh, the tomato aioli they used was super flavorful, and the baguette wasn't too hard. - North Beach: didn't love it, but didn't hate it either. Has a more tangy flavor because of the sweet peppers and the Dijon mustard, which I'm personally not the hugest fan of, but none of the flavors were too overpowering still. The sandwiches are light but filling! I'm interested in trying some of their drinks like the lavender lemonade and potentially their breakfast options.

Sara J.

Yelp
This is for the turkey club only. I once had a BLT where the bacon wasn't cooked and I became very ill, so raw bacon on a sandwich is not something I like. Sadly, my turkey club had completely raw bacon - I mean, it was never touched by heat at all. So, if trichinosis is your thing, you can have mine - I'll be abstaining. (Tried to reach them about this but it's hard to find contact info.)

Helena G.

Yelp
I always walked past this place but never realized they sold sandwiches! You can walk up to the side to order sandwiches, coffee, baked goods. Such a nice quick, casual lunch or breakfast spot. They do have outside seating around the side of the store, it can get quite packed but people do move in and out pretty often. The portions of the sandwich were pretty big, this one lasted me two meals. Ended up getting the firecracker sandwich, but everything is extremely customizable. I loved the kick the sandwich had, good balance of ingredients, sauce, to bread ratio. Would absolutely come back and grab some sandwiches to go for a picnic potentially. They also sell pre-made charcuterie boards in the store inside.

Michelle Z.

Yelp
I love cheese, so I was so excited to hear about this little cheese shop that also sells sandwiches. Came here with a friend on a Saturday around 12:30 and it wasn't super crowded but still very lively! Most of the tables outside were filled but the line to order wasn't super long. After ordering, we received our sandwiches within 10-15 minutes so it's a pretty quick turnaround! The outside vibe is very airy and casual, and you just order at an outdoor storefront. My friend got the Crissy Field sandwich grilled (you can get the cold sandwiches grilled!) and I got the Potrero Hill -- it has pastrami, pickles, cheddar, tomato, pickled onion, chipotle aioli, on dutch crunch bread. Sooo savory and saucy and deliciously spicy. Definitely not lacking on flavor. And the bread here is so spectacular! I can never get tired of it. Would highly recommend if you like pickle flavor!! I also love that the sandwiches here are super customizable -- you can even customize what bread you want, for example. Each sandwich is around $15-16 but it's a really big portion so it could last you two meals if you aren't super hungry. Will definitely be back soon to try other items on their menu!

R R.

Yelp
Maybe I got the wrong sando? Place definitely had a lot of foot traffic. The patrons seemed to like the place and vibe. The store is unique and seems like a great place to shop and grab some lunch. Service was good, no problem there. My sando, just lacked flavor. Give em try, just not for me.

Jewelia C.

Yelp
I haven't been in their actual store but the outdoor Sidewalk Cafe is a great place to grab a quick bite and a yummy sandwich! I was going to a pottery studio a few doors down from this place so when the sidewalk cafe was open I'd stop by to grab a sandwich and coffee. All their sandwiches sound good I always have a hard time choosing. Their chai latte is very good as well! Friendly staff and cute storefront. They also give you stamp cards for sandwiches and drinks (separate) which is cool! There are a few tables and benches right in front so you can sit and enjoy your food. Watch out for the birds though as they are fearless (and don't leave trash for them!)

Al G.

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches! The menu online does not include all the special/ seasonal sandwiches they have on a clapboard by the counter. They also have a much larger selection of beverages inside the store. The service is great and they have comfy outdoor seating, there's no seating indoors.

Jenny W.

Yelp
A solid sandwich shop option on Polk St. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the sandwich options, and ended up with Crissy Field sans bacon. I thought it was fine but a bit bland / boring, and it left me with FOMO since I felt like I had missed an opportunity to order a better sandwich. Like say the Willie Brown that I got to try a bite of, which was flavorful and delicious. So yeah, maybe stick to the Willie Brown.

Molly F.

Yelp
If you like sandwiches and you're in SF, come here. There are a ton of options + specials to choose from. Cute outdoor area to sit. This place is also connected to a shop where you can buy breads, cheeses, meats, etc.

Christiane F.

Yelp
Cheese Plus was absolutely delicious! I had the funky chicken with no cheese (ikik perks of being lactose intolerant) and it's one of the best sandwiches I've had! The wait time was about ~20min which is relatively fast for the city and it's absolutely worth the wait! There was also a lot of sitting available for a Sunday afternoon. All 11 of us were able to sit! The strawberry lemonade was soo fresh and refreshing and paired really well with the sandwiches. Can't wait to go back!

John M.

Yelp
I was walking by and decided to check this place out. They have a nice list of sandwiches, peppered with a few vegetarian options and a vegan option called the "curry bomb," the latter of which I settled on. The service was good and the sandwich came out in just a short wait. My first bite revealed that the sandwich stood true to its name. I would describe the flavors as a mix between Indian and Caribbean. It is pleasantly spicy, but not to the point of overwhelming the other ingredients. The tofu is chewy and takes on the taste of the curry, very similar to paneer, but a bit firmer. The cabbage and cucumber are nice and refreshing, slightly balancing out the other ingredients. The one thing that could be improved is the salt level, which I would to be a little overwhelming. Besides that, the sandwich is really unique flavor wise and leaves you with a pleasant blend of different textures and spices. Not to mention that it is really filling. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Siobhan A.

Yelp
A great lunch spot! Food: I had the Willie Brown Bird sandwich and a lavender lemonade. The sandwich was tasty with a super unique flavor profile. The pickled onions were tart, the fig chutney was sweet, and the duck was smokey. The lavender lemonade was super refreshing! Service: friendly and efficient! Only took 10 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I got my sandwich Ambiance: great outdoor seating with a few umbrellas

Lisa X.

Yelp
Another spot that I loved but neglected to write about is Cheese Plus. Love their sandwiches, coffee, tea, biscuits, cookies, wine, and of course, their cheeses here. They also sell artisanal chocolates, nuts, dried fruits, imported candies, and fresh flowers. A great neighborhood spot in Russian Hill. They have some tables outside for sitting, and also a lovely community parklet.

Taylor K.

Yelp
One of my fave weekend spots. The Croque Monsieur is incredible! It is only sold on the weekend and it NEVER disappoints! They have a wide variety, something for everyone. From pastries to sandwiches to coffee, you really can't go wrong. They also have little tables outside to sit and enjoy your bites/drinks!

Nil T.

Yelp
Great location! Super yummy sandwiches that change occasionally and seasonally. And the cheese! Lots of other great food focused on different specialties. Definitely coming back.

vi h.

Yelp
I was traveling from out of town and planning on a get together with some friends. Placed a catering order for the Viva Italia platter (with some customizations) and a fruit platter. I placed the order by phone a couple of days in advance and the order was delivered to my hotel on time and ready to go. Everyone loved the selection of cheeses and accompaniments and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future!

Alayna K.

Yelp
Solid sandwiches! The one with duck inside with the cranberry was my favorite :) line was quick & waited 15-20 mins

Ricky K.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to try Cheese Plus's sandwiches! It's basically your neighborhood friendly sandwich shop and they have a lot variations and things all around. Located in Russian Hill, this place is one of your typical shops in the area but with a lot of fresh italian products and deli that you can get your hands on. And of course, they have a lot of different cheeses as well. Their sandwich stall is located on the sidewalk of the store. There was so much selection that I decided to give the Burrata Rocket a try. I've heard that the Willie Brown Bird and the Portrero Hill are really good, but I decided I'll try something else. When I got the sandwich, the focaccia was fresh and crunchy. I loved the bread. On top of that the arugula pesto was so good! I kinda wished they put a lil more of that in my sandwich cause I really loved the freshness and taste of it. The whole sandwich as a whole was actually in a way very refreshing. To be fair, it wasn't the best, but I loved how creamy and fresh the burrata was and it just didn't feel heavy at all. I did feel like the sandwich was a little tasteless but that's what I meant when I said they should definitely smear more of that pesto. I'll come back! I still gotta try the other sandwiches. And luckily, I live nearby so I can definitely make more stops here in the future!

Joe B.

Yelp
my wife and I eat there all the time- the sandwiches are absolutely incredible - always super fresh and amazing ingredients - try the "Chicken Little" ....perfection. The staff there is always really nice too. Love this place.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Yum and yum and yum! If you love cheese and wine this is your place. I was in cheese heaven. They make boards.

Soon Tani M.

Yelp
Cheese plus is such a cute little cheese store with an excellent selection of items. I'm grateful to live near them and if I ever need fresh pasta, proscuitto or cheese in the neighborhood, I go there! The service is always really nice, especially at the cheese counter. They also have a great selection of flowers that are constantly changing. It's hard not to go in there and grab a bunch of flowers, a baguette, some proscuitto and cheese. They also have the Torres iberico potato chips and also spicy corn nuts which are my two favorite snacks!

Scott B.

Yelp
Wildly overpriced sandwiches! I wanted a ham and cheese sandwich, with mustard and pickles on a baguette. It cost me $15 (over $18 with tax and tip), and when I finally got around to eating it, I felt completely ripped off. I went back in to discuss my disappointment, and was told that all the meats and cheeses are weighed out. So they ripped me off on purpose. 2 stars because the selection of meats, cheese, and wine is good, but only 2 because there seems to be zero value here.

Meg G.

Yelp
it was so worth the hype! we split the banh mi and grilled cheese and both were INCREDIBLE! also they come out really quick despite the long line

Annabelle R.

Yelp
Cheese Plus is just what it sounds like... a store with lots of cheese, and a decent deli inside selling cold cuts, charcuterie, and of course endless varieties of cheese (this place would fulfill all of your picnicking needs). They also sell miscellaneous merchandise, including a diverse range of unique wines. But this place is so much more than just a cheese shop. They have a sidewalk cafe serving yummy sandwiches and coffee beverages, and some outdoor patio seating with umbrellas as well. The window to order food (hot and cold sandwiches) is on the outside of the store on Pacific Ave. And they have lots of specials, they even let you customize your sandwiches. We got the the Willie Brown Bird sub pesto sauce instead of fig chutney, and it was super delicious, generous with the toppings, especially that arugula, they may have even stuffed it a little too much. The Funky Chicken was also really good, fresh and tasty ingredients, lots of bacon, and just too good not to finish. Overall, I really like this place and would highly recommend it if you're looking for a great lunch spot or breakfast sandwiches that won't disappoint.

Mateo V.

Yelp
Solid cheese shop! Wide range and nice selection. We ended up sitting outside and got a cheese plate (for 2 ppl) which was $18. It took a little while for them to make it (prob about 8 minutes), so it wasn't 'fast' but it was a nice pre-dinner appetizer. Overall, a nice cheese shop with a bunch of options.

Sara S.

Yelp
Been coming here for years Sandwiches used to be $11 or $12 now they range from $14-20 The sandwiches are good! I just wish they had more vegetarian options because they have a huge selection of maybe 15-20 assortments and i think only 3 vegetarian options that are kind if basic. The wait is sometimes longer than i would hope it to be but if you can get seating outside in the sun, all is good. Good coffee.

Jorgen A.

Yelp
I love Cheese Plus. For a local sandwich spot this place is ideal. They're not too big and they use quality ingredients. My goal is to try every sandwich on the menu, and so far I have not been disappointed. They also have the best Arnold Palmer of all time. Fresh lemonade and iced tea, I'm not kidding it is literally the best Arnold Palmer of all time. Also their market is adorable and has all the cheese. So. much. cheese. It's a cheese lover's paradise.

Amy W.

Yelp
For some strange reason I have never had one of their sandwiches, but have always wanted to try them. I usually just get cheese or flowers or all the amazing cookies they have here from "Sweet Things" bakery. We were headed to the delta to go boating and we usually buy closer to the boat, but were collecting a friend in this neighborhood, so thought "why not try this for a sammy?" We ordered the Parisian, which was french ham, gruyere cheese, mustard, lettuce and BUTTER on a roll. It was plenty for 2 people to split and just a very well crafted and assembled sandwich. 3 pieces of cheese!, the mustard had the mustard seeds in it for that popping texture and the butter was generous. Also a LOT of lettuce, but it was really the perfect amount to add crunch to all the richness. I would love to find a friend and try every single sandwich on this menu.

Chau N.

Yelp
I felt like treating myself to a sandwich for lunch while I was working from home and ordered The Parma which has has Fresh Mozzarella, Italian Prosciutto Ham, Fresh Tomato, Basil Leaves & Olive Oil served on Soft Baguette! So simple yet so delicious! I ordered at the outside counter and didn't have to wait long for them to make my sandwich since there was no line when I went on a weekday.

Jordan L.

Yelp
I love Cheese Plus for so many reasons. Most recently, I had a sandwich from there that was sooo good. AND the cheese that won March madness (I think it's called Prairie Breeze) is the highlight of my week. I usually pick it up once a week on my way home from work. Slap it on some crackers and maybe a little salami and it's absolutely heaven. They also carry Lula's chocolate - my favorite!! Great vibe, nicest people, always the best.

John N.

Yelp
Cool if you're just coming in for some nice cheese and impulse items for a picnic or party. However their sandwiches take forever especially for having 8 people behind the counter not to mention overpriced and extremely skimpy. The staff seems like they're struggling to find their place and are all on cloud 420. Lmk if you see any meat on this sandwich lol.

Cecily K.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place!! Amazing sandwiches, amazing service, and the cutest lil spot! I've bought the cheese board thing multiple times and it's always been fire

Kharey R.

Yelp
Sandwich was delicious , but when you pay $18 you expect to see the meat. Add a couple more duck slices and you get 5 stars. The cheese was thicker than the meat.

Beebs A.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! The deli is excellent with a great selection of cheeses, cold cuts, etc. My go to for charcuterie shopping list. The cookies! Omg! I could go on n on.

Brittany Anne O.

Yelp
Such a fun, inviting spot with delicious food offering a unique and superb shopping experience. I stopped by Cheese Plus on a weekday afternoon and was pleased to see that it wasn't completely packed. I purchased a bunch of artisan items inside the store before ordering one of their house-made sandwiches. The market has a large offering of cheeses, meats, wines, oils, crackers, chocolates, drinks and the list goes ON and on. There is so much to see and enjoy in the store. The staff here were incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. They answered all of my questions and even let me use the restroom in the basement. Top notch customer service! I felt welcomed and appreciated. The sandwich I ordered was called the Firecracker. Sliced chicken, bacon, sweet peppers, jalapeños and pesto with melted cheddar. Absolutely delicious! So fresh, crispy and flavorful. A pricey sandwich ($16), but definitely worth the price- if you're in the mood for treating yourself!

Liz N.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Located in the best neighborhood! They have everything for your chacateuri board and palette, gourmet & gifts SF breads spreads, baklava cards and Kisses

Laura L.

Yelp
I walk by this place all the time, and today I finally stopped in to try a sandwich. There's an outside counter where you place your sandwich order, and when I came in there was no line. I came on a weekday though, and on weekends I do usually see a decent sized line. It took about 10 minutes to get my sandwich, and it didn't disappoint. I got the Willie Brown Bird (as suggested by many other yelpers), and it was delicious. I loved that it had a sweet element to it to complement the saltiness, and the pickled onions were a great addition. The bread could have been a little fresher, but it was still pretty good. My sandwich was around $20, which I thought was a little pricey, especially since it wasn't that large of a sandwich. But it was delicious, and I would come back to try more of their unique menu items. I have come here several times to buy cheese as well, and I am never disappointed. There are tons of cheeses, and the staff is very helpful. They also have plenty of charcuterie options, but again most items are on the pricier side.

Tara A.

Yelp
Finally visited Cheese Plus after living in the neighborhood for over a year now and I loved it! My hubby and I got the Willie Brown Bird sandwich and Castro's Cubano. It took about 25 minutes for the sandwiches on a Wednesday around noon, so if you're short on time, you should pre-order on their website! We saw a line for pre-orders and regretted not looking that up. I loved the Willie Brown Bird because it had both savory + sweet flavors--I love that fig jam!! The Cubano was good but not my favorite. I want to try the Burrata Rocket next because I love burrata. I also want to try the grilled cheese, since the shop IS called.. CHEESE plus! $15 was a bit steep for the Willie Brown Bird so it was definitely a "treat yourself" moment! But it was worth it! I need to come back and buy cheese for my next cheese & charcuterie board!

Yelp
4.5 stars, Got some cost effective cheeses and crackers for coworkers. The staff was helpful insisting to help me understand flavor profiles which is the main reason I consider going back. Will update my rating next time.

Yelp
I have always walked past this place on Polk st, but one day me and my family decided to get a few sandwiches through the order ahead. We got 3 sandwiches, and they were definitely more than enough for the 4 of us. The bread was perfect and not soggy, and the cross section of the sandwich is probably one of the most beautiful sandwiches I have ever eaten. The deli is quite expansive, and there is a good selection of Italian goods throughout the store. I will definitely return here to get a sandwich if I am ever on Polk, as this may be one of my new top spots. Everybody was really nice and super welcoming.
