I stopped in for lunch, and am so happy I did
Coffee reminded me of Turkish coffee I drank in Germany, half grounds and half full strength coffee. Turns out this is a Turkish restaurant
I ordered the Mesopotamia salad, not knowing what to expect - and was delighted with what I got. It’s basically a chopped salad my favorite kind, with no boring lettuce, based on chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, and other goodies, and made yummy with chopped walnuts, my favorite nuts, and finished with a tasty vinaigrette
I finished with the Kunefe, wondering how stretchy cheese could make a good dessert. It was tasty, just sweet enough, and fun to eat, with stretchy cheese in the middle, sandwiched in between layers of fine hairy pasta, with a sweet syrup to finish it off - I’m a convert
Staff were friendly, and happy to talk about their new place
