This place deserves some love for having the best Pan Fried Juicy Bao (Sheng Jian Bao). I'm from NYC and I can't believe I found the best Sheng Jian Bao all the way in Montreal lol. The best kind of SJB is: Thin skinned, crispy bottoms, juicy soup + sturdy meat filling. The SJB here meet all criteria, when the soup juice burst inside my mouth, I knew THAT'S THE ONE. The skin also can't become mushy during cooking either, and this place made it work!
In pictures here I saw an order of SJB is 4, but I actually got 6 and I ate all 6 right away. Both the pork and shrimp baos are delicious. I wish I could get something like this back home...
Also got other Shanghainese specialities like the Scallion Oil Noodles and Peanut Sauce Wontons. They're just ok, the baos really outshined everything. Lastly, staff are friendly and everything was easy to order.
