Chef Viet’s Shanghai Chinese Restaurant

Our first time at this place, we tried it because someone recommended it. It looked small from the parking lot, but it has a good bit of seating. Typical Chinese decor, but a quiet atmosphere for as many people as there were eating there. Our waitress was very attentive and made recommendations when I asked. As a party, we had spring rolls, Mongolian beef, broccoli chicken, and orange chicken. It was the best food we have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. It wasn't as heavy as Chinese food usually is, even with the sauces. It was hot when it arrived, and the portions were huge. Our waitress kept checking on us and kept our drinks filled. The parking lot out front should accommodate all patrons unless the restaurant is at capacity. It has easy entrance and exit access. It was a wonderful dining experience in the low price range for our area, and we will be taking friends there soon!

This was the best Chinese food we’ve had in a long time! Buena Vista is completely out of our way but this place is well worth the effort. I had Garlic Chicken and daughter had Mongolian Beef and both were delicious. The ladies working were sweet and helpful. I really wish Columbus would finish their road work on this exit. It looks abandoned and everything is torn up. It makes it seem not worth going, but it really is. It was only $20 before tip and included soup. Amazing deal considering everyone else in town is several dollars more expensive, and not nearly as good quality. We’ll be back!

The Best Chinese Food I’ve Had In Columbus,Ga Phenix City Area ! The Taste Was 10/10 The Temperature Was Fresh Fresh ! If You Won’t The Best Shop Here ! Also Go At Lunch Time Unless You Don’t Mind Paying 22$ For A Single Portion Of Beef After 3 Lol

Absolutely delicious!! Everything from the soup and egg rolls to the Mongolian beef and chicken. I also had a side of sweet and sour chicken with the sauce on the side! Everything came hot and fresh! And everyone was so kind and hospitable. They were very attentive to our needs and kept our drinks filled. The ambience is very open and there is a lot of natural light coming in. 10/10 would recommend!

The owner of this establishment has done an excellent job upgrading the facility. To have somewhere to sit down with the family on Buena Vista Road is exciting and well overdue. The food is excellent and the staff is kind, professional, and courteous! I ordered my family’s food to go yesterday and told the gentleman that served me that I would let my family be the judge. Well, the results are in, best they have ever had! Everything was delicious! You have certainly gained a completely satisfied customer! Thank you and we will be visiting for a sit down meal soon!

Grand opening of Chef Viet’s Shanghai..just a mile from home. I haven’t had decent Asian food since I left New England…it’s just NOT the same in the south. Lol We ordered crab Rangoon and egg rolls for an appetizer and the Mongolian Beef and Sesame chicken for dinner. We ate more than we should have and still brought a bunch home. The service was even wonderful, kind and very attentive..filling our glasses and refilling our rice bowl before it was even empty. This place was absolutely mind blowing delicious!! Definitely a new favorite! The flavors were on point the quality of the food was GREAT (white meat chicken and super tender beef) Comfortable and clean dining room! They also have take out with a sweet little waiting area. 10/10 we will be back!

These 2 ladies we have had the pleasure of meeting many years ago at a place near Target where no one goes any longer. They are serving up the fine foods that we all love and miss. Traditional Chinese Cuisine, with must have Egg Drop Soup (menu calls it Egg flower). Now open and offering a whole lot more. 5 stars all the way!

Nice new clean restaurant, friendly staff. can't wait to sit down and have dinner... first time I got it to go... I would love to do the family style... they have cloth chairs a big round table with the Lazy Susan in the center, family style so that you can share.... I absolutely love & miss that... I grew up eating Chinese like that, my mama took us downtown Los Angeles to the Chinese spots where they had those family tables, that's a true joy to enjoy... I cannot wait to partake in a sit down meal at this nice beautiful comfortable clean Friendly restaurant

Great food every time we visit. Amazing service and the restaurant is cute as a button. Orders come out fairly quickly but I would wait for food this good!

Learned of this local gem on the Columbus Foodies group, and it does not disappoint! After trying a series of ho-hum offerings at other establishments, we were blown away by the taste and portion size of our entrees at Chef Viet's! My husband had a vermicelli tofu Vietnamese dish, and I had the shrimp chow mein. Both were EXCELLENT. Highly recommend and we will be back again!

Food is outstanding! Fast service, generous portions, always fresh and hot! I drive 20 miles one way just for lunch.

Came here and tried chinese food, it decent but food are the flavourful, it's. It's not the best. Food service is fast though.

Wor s t we havd ever had. No flavor and no spices to speak of and all of it looked anemic. DO NOT EAT THERE!!!!!@
