Chef Viet’s Shanghai Chinese Restaurant

Great restaurant! Very clean and the staff of very nice! The food is the best in columbus and I always bring my clients here to enjoy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Chinese food!

Our first time at this restaurant but we will be back many times! The food was fabulous and prices were very good. I actually felt bad paying because prices were soooo reasonable. We went with a group of six, and everyone raved about the food. Its just delicious. I put pics of the menu in with my photos. If you are looking for delicious food in a warm atmosphere, this is your place.

This place is worth the 25 minute drive from Smiths! Took my mom for lunch along with my 20 month old. We haven’t been able to find a decent Chinese place since moving down here from Nashville 3 years ago. We got the Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. Everything was fantastic and so fresh! The Mongolian Beef is amazing and I’m typically not a Mongolian Beef person. Sweet and Sour Chicken was juicy and tender, not dried out and tough like most places. And the Shrimp and Lobster Sauce was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Don’t let the location scare you away. This place is spotless, the ladies working are so friendly, and the food is amazing and was so quickly prepared! Oh and the Egg Drop Soup was the best I’ve ever had! Yum!! Customers for life!

Our first time at this place, we tried it because someone recommended it. It looked small from the parking lot, but it has a good bit of seating. Typical Chinese decor, but a quiet atmosphere for as many people as there were eating there. Our waitress was very attentive and made recommendations when I asked. As a party, we had spring rolls, Mongolian beef, broccoli chicken, and orange chicken. It was the best food we have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. It wasn't as heavy as Chinese food usually is, even with the sauces. It was hot when it arrived, and the portions were huge. Our waitress kept checking on us and kept our drinks filled. The parking lot out front should accommodate all patrons unless the restaurant is at capacity. It has easy entrance and exit access. It was a wonderful dining experience in the low price range for our area, and we will be taking friends there soon!

The food was fantastic 10/10. The server really didn't want to be there but hey, if you don't want to work on Christmas day, then a Chinese restaurant is not for you. Tipped him $20 on a $60 bill and he still had a lousy attitude. We will be back though, for the food...

I’m originally from California and this is absolutely the best asian restaurant I’ve been to in Columbus, GA FIVE STARS The food is amazing. Fresh seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff are pleasant and attentive. They deserve a Michelin star. Be assured this family owned clean establishment will take very good care of you and your family. I loved shrimp chow main and stir fried rice dishes.

This was the best Chinese food we’ve had in a long time! Buena Vista is completely out of our way but this place is well worth the effort. I had Garlic Chicken and daughter had Mongolian Beef and both were delicious. The ladies working were sweet and helpful. I really wish Columbus would finish their road work on this exit. It looks abandoned and everything is torn up. It makes it seem not worth going, but it really is. It was only $20 before tip and included soup. Amazing deal considering everyone else in town is several dollars more expensive, and not nearly as good quality. We’ll be back!

The owner of this establishment has done an excellent job upgrading the facility. To have somewhere to sit down with the family on Buena Vista Road is exciting and well overdue. The food is excellent and the staff is kind, professional, and courteous! I ordered my family’s food to go yesterday and told the gentleman that served me that I would let my family be the judge. Well, the results are in, best they have ever had! Everything was delicious! You have certainly gained a completely satisfied customer! Thank you and we will be visiting for a sit down meal soon!

The food is gross, lacks flavor, and they don't serve Pho or Vietnamese food. Good service great ambiance. Seriously it's not good. This is some of the worst food I've ever had. Nothing that we ordered was good. Texture, flavor, appearance.. gross

Great food every time we visit. Amazing service and the restaurant is cute as a button. Orders come out fairly quickly but I would wait for food this good!

Food and service was really good but they got a bad score from health inspection. This will have to improve before I go back.

Learned of this local gem on the Columbus Foodies group, and it does not disappoint! After trying a series of ho-hum offerings at other establishments, we were blown away by the taste and portion size of our entrees at Chef Viet's! My husband had a vermicelli tofu Vietnamese dish, and I had the shrimp chow mein. Both were EXCELLENT. Highly recommend and we will be back again!

Food was amazing here best Chinese place in Columbus! It was hot and fresh just amazing and the service was also really good everyone was nice here will definitely be returning!!

Food is outstanding! Fast service, generous portions, always fresh and hot! I drive 20 miles one way just for lunch.

Fresh vegetables and quality entrees. Brand new restaurant and friendly staff. I've been 4 times it's really good trust me

Came here and tried chinese food, it decent but food are the flavourful, it's. It's not the best. Food service is fast though.
