Best restaurant view I’ve ever had. You are brought down to the restaurant by a private driver. The views from this place are absolutely stunning. We booked the 6-course menu. You had two different options for each course. We chose to take both options and shared them; this way it’s a bit like a mini 12-course dining experience ;) The price/quality of the food was good. Nothing over the top or too fancy, but good combinations. The service was great. Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable about the food and wines. It gets quite dark at this specific table after sunset. You really have to like a dark setting; for us it was a bit too dark, and the blue lights didn’t really complement the restaurant’s vibe. Overall, an amazing experience. I’ll definitely recommend it if you’re around Cape Town!

An absolutely unforgettable lunch experience. We had the 6-course menu and every single course was delicious — beautifully executed and perfectly paced, with just the right spacing between dishes. We spent an amazing afternoon with friends, and the setting truly elevates the whole experience. The views are breathtaking, and we were seated in the pergola, which was ideal for privacy and comfort. A special mention to our waiter, Tian, who was outstanding and a big reason why we enjoyed our lunch so much. His attention to detail, clear explanations of every course, and responsiveness made the experience seamless and memorable. Yes, it’s on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it for a special occasion or a long, indulgent lunch.

A truly memorable experience with breathtaking views over the bay and attentive service. We chose the set menu with wine pairing and enjoyed trying both options for each course, often finding one dish and one wine pairing to be superior, which made the experience even more interesting. The oysters were the best we’ve had. The food is refined and creative, the wine pairings thoughtfully chosen, and the setting is simply spectacular. An exceptional spot for a special occasion.

We were lucky to be sat right by the pergola window on a beautiful sunny day. We had a fabulous lunch with wine pairings. Our waiter Tian made the meal significantly better with his calm manner and really high level of wine knowledge. The view from the restaurant speaks for itself, but the food was surprisingly excellent, especially the seafood dishes. We will be back!

Fantastic views over Hout Bay, if a bit off the beaten track. A shuttle takes you from the parking area to the restaurant, down a steep and narrow path. Once arriving you are greeted by the friendly staff an can glimpse into the kitchen, or as our waiter put it: „where the magic happens“. Menu is a fixed 5 course meal, with two options for the 2-4th course each. We ordered the wine pairing menu and the very knowledgeable sommelier took ample time explaining the characteristics, the grape’s varieties it is made from and some information about the vineyard. I was pleasantly surprised that they feature a good amount of wines produced by women. The food was spot on, each course has distinct flavors, some subtle some bold and left us happy and satiated by the end. Try the sponge cake with fennel ice cream, it’s a combination that shouldn’t work, but combines beautifully! Reservations are essential.

Amazing view and great service. Fine dining with great sense of combinig tastes and innovative details, luxury ingredients. Most places in SA do not have truly good service, but this place shows it is possible- presumably they invest in their personnel, give them proper training and education and pay them decently so that they can recruit the best. It’s possible if it is a priority…

The tapas-style small plates were beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, showcasing fresh, locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients—a hallmark of the Chefs Warehouse approach . From delicate seafood to intriguing vegetarian options, every dish struck the perfect note. The oat-and-honey brioche starter (a beloved classic) paired with burnt fennel butter was heavenly, and the balance of textures and tastes was extraordinary . Service was gracious and attentive—professional yet warm—letting the impeccable views and excellent food shine while feeling deeply cared for. The restaurant’s intimate vibe, combined with a refined ambiance, made every moment feel special. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply craving a breathtaking supper, this is the place. We had an amazing experience at Chef’s Table! The food was absolutely delicious every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The views out to the ocean were incredible, making the whole evening feel extra special. I came here with my newly engaged fiancé, and it was the perfect place to celebrate. The atmosphere was romantic, the service was attentive, and everything felt thoughtfully done. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in a stunning setting!
