Chelsea Ristorante combines tradition with antipasti, homemade pasta, and pizza. Their wood-burning brick oven churns out pizzas that’ll make your taste buds do a happy dance. I really loved all the fresh pastas and cocktails.

This restaurant was really nice. The energy inside was pretty amazing and the service was A++. Its a rather small restaurant but they still were able to accommodate larger parties. I went with my team (party of 14) and there were other large parties there. Small detail but this will come in handy if you're looking for a place to have a birthday dinner or anything like that. Now let's talk food! The dishes we ordered were good. Some were simple and delicious and some could have been a little....more. The linguine and meatballs was the dish I ordered and I liked it. One of my teammates ordered the lasagna and it was a little thin and lacked some protein and depth but overall, it was good too. I think we just enjoyed the appetizers more. Their calamari and stuffed clams were delicious. The drinks were a hit. We had to have ordered 30 espresso martinis in addition to a few of their other cocktails and wine. Really good restaurant. The staff, drinks, energy, and apps are more than enough to bring me back!

Very good food. Fish was fresh and tasty and the pasta was good too. Eggplant appetizer was delicious. They also nicely brought out a table so we could sit outside since no tables were available inside. Dessert was delicious too.

Google
Great food. Great service. The pasta bolognese is some of the best you’ll ever have. Also, finally, a restaurant that doesn’t skimp on the basil.

Google
Pizza was great, atmosphere is very nice and warm but voices echo throughout, although that is a nice atmosphere if it’s what you’re looking for. My mom had linguini con polpette and said the noodles were good but the veal meatballs were outstanding. My pizza was very crisp and the cheese was cooked very well. They make their own dough right where you can see. Had the ricotta and pistachio cake which was very light and flavorful, especially the pistachio. Service was excellent! Very attentive servers. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some great Italian food in Chelsea.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Da Andrea Chelsea. From the moment you walk in the rustic decor is inviting. Giulia was a lovely and very attentive server and her accent definitely added to the experience. Now for food - it was AMAZING! Everything was so tasty and fresh. The drinks were delightful as well. 10/10 I will definitely return.

Yelp
Ordered the Cavatelli di Ricotta for a casual dinner with friends. The pasta is softer than a lot of Italian places and I prefer that! The texture a most accurately described as "QQ" per the Taiwanese term. Server Sebastian was super attentive!

Alyssa P.

Yelp
Service, Food and ambience were excellent! Kadir - our server was fantastic super attentive and made sure everything came out right

Yelp
Da Andrea - Chelsea is a truly delightful Italian restaurant that I recently had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was captivated by the warm, inviting ambiance and the impeccable service. The standout of my experience was the exceptional bartender, Josh. He greeted me with a genuine smile and a welcoming demeanor, immediately making me feel at home. Josh's expert mixology skills were on full display as he crafted cocktails with precision and flair. Each drink was a masterpiece, with complex flavors and beautiful presentation. But Josh's talents extend far beyond the bar. He took the time to engage in friendly conversation, offering recommendations and ensuring my overall experience was nothing short of phenomenal. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. The food at Da Andrea was also a delight. I savored every bite of my expertly prepared Italian dishes, which showcased the restaurant's dedication to using high-quality, fresh ingredients. The flavors were vibrant, the textures were perfect, and the presentation was simply stunning. Overall, my visit to Da Andrea - Chelsea was a truly memorable experience. The combination of the beautiful ambiance, the impeccable service from Josh, and the delectable cuisine made for an evening I won't soon forget. I can't wait to return and indulge in the culinary delights and warm hospitality that this wonderful establishment has to offer.

Yelp
The place was packed out and buzzing. It's a really nice space, high ceilings, and tall windows giving airy Italian energy. The Da Andrea restaurants--also, FYI, there are two (side note: I strongly feel that this one, the second, should have been named "Dos Andrea" ...or maybe "Due Andrea" for the lingua italiana) may have a reputation as being "cute forward" places with cool decor and great vibes but only average food. Contrary to that reputation, the penne (Pennette con Melanzane) exceeded my expectations. For an eggplant-based dish, the sauce was heartier than you would think, yet silky smooth and flavorful. This is a location worth visiting for more than just vibes and an aperol spritz.

Yelp
Charming Italiano Bistro! Went here for a last minute Sunday Scaries Supper and it did not disappoint. Sebastian gave great recommendations including the Italian pancakes appetizer. Will definitely be back!

Winny L.

Yelp
Super happy that Da Andrea opened a 2nd location and much easier to get a reservation. Definitely more spacious and bigger bar than the original location. This is located on the west side... came here for dinner a little after month it opened for a birthday dinner :) Service was good and food just as good as Greenwich Village location. Recommend making reservations. Menu: Plenty to choose from for drinks and food itself. They do have specials as well...so additional options to consider. The restaurant is dimly lit so may be a little hard to read the menus and may need light from your phones... Complimentary bread with olive oil to start. Appetizers: Had the burrata and veal meatballs. Surprisingly as a person who doesn't eat veal, the meatballs were good. Main course: Ordered my usual and highly recommend the squid ink tagliolini (my favorite and go to dish) and the scallop special. Both dishes were good. Dessert: panna cotta (my fave and high recommend if you want something light) and the chocolate walnut cake with salted caramel ice cream (for the chocolate and caramel lovers). Complimentary biscotti. Will definitely be back again :)

Yelp
I have been to their other location and this one did not disappoint. The decor is absolutely beautiful. The tables are a bit close together and the place was very loud but bustling.Only negative was no air conditioning during this heat wave. Our waiter was nice. The calamari we had were okay, our drinks were very tasty and just the right strength. The veal ravioli were devine. Very tasty and the sauce was perfect for them. Personally I did not love the lemon ricotta cake w/ berries - a bit dry and grainy would try something else. Overall would definitely recommend especially for a date night.

Yelp
Da Andrea is a beautiful space. The floral decor and facade is incredibly welcoming. The bar is off to the right of the main dining area which comfortably seats about 30 followed by an a smaller dining are which seems ideal for private events. On the Sunday afternoon I visited, the main area is empty. Within 10 mins a large brunch party arrived and this is where things quickly went left. It was around 3:30 and apparently brunch ends at 4. However, there technical is no break in service or siesta, instead there's just a menu switch. The 3 wait staff on the floor seemed immediately frazzled. The waitress rushed us to order only to have the incorrect meals show up at the table. He ordered the Salmone alla Griglia which has Grilled Salmon, Charred Cauliflower, Cherry Tomatoes, Broccoli Rabe, Dijon Mustard Sauce but received the Salmone Affimicato which is Fresh baked "Tigelle" Buns, Smoked Salmon, Capers, Onions, Scallion Cream Cheese. I had the Insalata Di Pera which has Poached Pear, Arugula, Gorgonzola, Walnuts, Honey Mustard. I asked for the walnuts to be removed ( alergies). The salad came out with 2 thinly sliced pieces of pear and the tiniest sprinkling of Gorgonzola. I could have had a better salad at Pret Manger or Cosi. Overall underwhelming. The wait staff stood around awkwardly steering at us every couple odd seconds so I was forced do ask if they were waiting for us to leave, he said no. However, the behaviors didn't but I asked for the check and we left. Where did we go? To get food elsewhere. Even after the mixup with the food, I was open to retuning but based on the wait staff's behavior- the only thing I'd do is enroll them in cultural sensitivity training.

Yelp
Da Andrea Chelsea is a hidden gem that stands out not only for its beautiful ambiance but also for its exceptional cuisine and great service. We decided to share a variety of dishes, starting with the warm octopus and Caesar salad, followed by the squid ink pasta and Ricotta Cavatelli. Each dish was a culinary delight, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The warm octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the Caesar salad offered a fresh and crisp start to our meal. The squid ink pasta was a standout with its rich and savory taste, and the Ricotta Cavatelli was creamy and comforting, a true testament to the chef's skill. What truly elevated our visit was the impeccable service. Our waiter, Kadir, went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time. He was attentive without being intrusive, always making sure our water glasses were full and that we had everything we needed. Kadir's dedication to providing top-notch service was evident and greatly appreciated. In summary, Da Andrea Chelsea is a must-visit for anyone seeking a combination of exquisite food, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning soon. ---

Yelp
Discover the charm of this Northern Italian gem, They serve fresh-made pastas and homestyle meat dishes in the West Village and Chelsea. For over 20 years, they've been capturing hearts and palates with their authentic Italian dining. We recently tried their prix-fixe lunch menu for just $29.95 per person (Only at Chelsea Locations) featuring one appetizer, one entrée, and one dessert. It's an incredible deal, and every dish was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back for more! Plus, the service is amazing. Yelp
Pretty good pasta, for a pretty okay price! Da Andrea's Chelsea location was a nice dining experience, with good food and excellent service. The pasta dishes were both delicious -- the pasta was mostly al dente, and the sauces/squid ink added lots of flavor. Servers were friendly and very prompt, really on top of their game here. The interior was nice, though tables are pretty crowded, so expect to sit elbow to elbow at most tables. Overall, a solid dining experience, and the bill wasn't too bad in the end. Decent option in this part of town!

Yelp
Really had an enjoyable time at this great Italian restaurant! The restaurant is so charming and immediately gets you right in the mood for some great food! The servers we interact with seem very genuine and pleasant to interact with. The food came out hot and full of flavor would definitely eat here again. Would recommend to eat earlier as the later hours gets really packed and hard to get into.

Brian M.

Yelp
Went there a few weeks ago for my sister's birthday. The four of us shared the calamari I had the meatballs my wife had the broccoli rabe we were going on a boat trip up the east river to get the history of the abandoned buildings on the small islands. We were stuck listening to the guy mostly pointing out egrets which was disappointment. So back to the restaurant, it was beautiful inside our waitress came straight from Italy "Giulia"she was so sweet we wanted to take her with us.She made the trip there worth every minute.

Shilpa M.

Yelp
I made a reservation for 4 for dinner on a Friday night pretty easily last minute. It is a huge restaurant, with tables packed very tight, and very popular. The service was pretty slow, but that seems to be the new thing in New York, especially at Italian restaurants. I guess you get the European feeling of the slow life. In any case, it gave us all time to chat and catch up, since we hadn't seen each other in a while. The decor is nice, with a lot of plants and big windows. We shared the special salad - that was delicious! & Panna cotta for dessert - also terrific. I had the mixed seafood entree. It was good, but not amazing.

Cynthia N.

Yelp
My new favorite in NYC! This place has it all. The service was amazing. I was so dehydrated from our walking. They kept the bottle water coming. The bread was excellent with thinly sliced Parmesan cheese . Our salad was the best I had! It was so bountiful we shared. With cranberries apples baby kale balsamic dressing. I had the filet migon cooked to perfection with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach . Perfectly sized so not to overload! Wine paired beautifully red pinot. For dessert we had the gelato which was so light and good. The cake we took back to the room chocolate on chocolate simply delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and if in New York again I will definitely revisit it .

Robert W.

Yelp
An incredibly lovely place to dine!!! I have some dietary issues, and when I mentioned them to our impeccable server, Kadir, he brought the manager over to help us decide the perfect course of action. We had the Tuna Tartare, Salmon with Asparagus, and the Cappellacci Tartufo e Porcini, finishing with a sublime panna cotta. The service was beyond perfection, the atmosphere delightful, and the food was first class!

Deidre S.

Yelp
Came in for lunch, love the atmosphere and our server Irina was so friendly and attentive. We split the meatballs and flatbread to start both were very good. For our main course we had the filet and it was wonderful! The char on the outside was absolute perfection and it was one of the most flavorful filets I have ever had. And the truffle butter put it over the top. Can't beat the prices either.

Jan N.

Yelp
Sebastian was fantastic! The ribibeye was nom nom nom. Great place to enjoy with family and friends.

Katie B.

Yelp
Literally one of the best dinner experiences I've had in NYC and especially this neighborhood. Thank you SO much to my server Kadir. He recommended amazing dishes and gave some of the best customer service. This was a wonderful experience and I absolutely will return.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Good location, very nice decor, and good service. Food overall is solid, no major issues, the filet minon was under seasoned and not much butter basting done. Branzino was under seasoned too but I added my own additional salt to it. But could use a touch more thyme or Italian seasoning to it. Overall nothing wrong just doesn't feel Italian enough.

Jenn L.

Yelp
I ordered the Ravioli Noci and my husband the spaghetti bolognese. We had tuna tartare for starter. It was average for me. Best ravioli I've ever had! The bolognese was also amazing. The sauce was fantastic. Their focaccia bread was delish. We had tiramisu for dessert and the ratio is just perfect. Staff were attentive and our waitress Giulia made sure we are well taken care of. The ambiance was romantic and transports you to a yard in Italy. Highly recommneded.

Coretta M.

Yelp
great dining experience! our server Sebastian was absolutely amazing!! the food was delicious and I really enjoyed my cocktail as well. I'll definitely be back!!

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Darling! We made a reservation online and the entire process was seamless. The interior is an intimate setting making this establishment perfect for a work dinner, a great spot to try before a Broadway show and so much more. We got seated right away and the staff were polished and professional. Your biggest win will be doing an early dinner around 5:45 pm as the staff told us people dine in later in NYC closer to 8 or even 9. As a visitor, that is too late for us so we really hit the jackpot in having the entire place to ourselves before the rush. The cocktails were amazing, the pasta is served with fresh grated cheese if you choose, there is complimentary bread served with olives and oil at the beginning and the appetizers are devine. Our bellies were too full for dessert but our server gave us a very small complimentary biscotti dish with some lemon dipping sauce which was unbelievable. A special shout out to our server from Kenya (forgetting her name I am so sorry). She was an absolute GEM and her voice made me hypnotized. She went over all the house specials at the top of our dining time and made sure we understood all the options prior to placing our order. Thank you, Da Andrea! Beautiful service all around.

Oscar P.

Yelp
Great dinner. They have a great Pork Chop, Little Hen Gordanizia. They also have a great Bolognese. They have great service and even gave us an extra corn on the cob on the house. Our go to spot every time we're in NYC. Perfect ambience for kids, family, or a date.

Mike H.

Yelp
Extremely nice, fine, and authentic Italian restaurant. Had a birthday dinner here. The staff was incredibly accommodating by taking our reservation, adjusting it as needed, and not requiring any deposit. The service was superb and the food was fantastic. The fried calamari, shrimp, and zucchini ($24) was delicious with the sauce. The beef carpaccio DI MANZO CON RUCOLA, CUORI DI PALMA E PARMIGIANO ($19) was well presented and tasty. I loved my spaghetti carbonara ($26). I tried the squid ink pasta ($27) and it was good, but the carbonara was better. I tried bone marrow for the first time. It tasted fine, but I didn't like that it has the consistency of fat. I wouldn't eat that again. We shared a bottle of red wine which had a good balance of sweetness and dryness. Absolutely fantastic restaurant perfect for a celebration or romantic date. You pay a lot and get your money's worth!

Josh W.

Yelp
Da Andrea is stunning from the moment you walk in! The interior is beautifully decorated with a gorgeous bar, warm lighting, and a spacious yet intimate vibe. The cocktails and food were also spectacular. The filet mignon and braised lamb shank were both delicious, and the staff were also incredible! This is the perfect spot for any occasion, and I will no doubt be back soon! Sebastian was INCREDIBLE as my server and also made the experience amazing.

Johnny M.

Yelp
Great food and great service from Grace! Highlights were the burrata and the spaghetti alla carbonara.

Katie M.

Yelp
I've loved visiting the Greenwich Village location for the past few years and I'm excited to report that the new Chelsea location does not disappoint! Tonight, we had the Caesar salad, the flatbread of the day (ours was margarita), the ravioli di nocci, the filet mignon and the bolognese. These pasta dishes are FANTASTIC - made with fresh made pasta daily and the steak was delicious as well. We ended the night with the tiramisu and apple crust desserts (pictured below) which were so good - the tiramisu was not too sweet and the apple crisp was steaming hot. The true pièce de résistance, however, was the amazing service from our server Kadir (who you may recognize from the original Greenwich location!) He had great recommendations, was quick to check on us and made this experience so wonderful. The rest of the staff were incredibly attentive as well, I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Patty B.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Da Andrea restaurant located at the west village location and today it's my friend and I 1st time At the Chelsea location , the restaurant is beautifully decorated like you're eating in a hall of a garden. The cleanliness is tip top, and I just think its a great choice for big group parties , service is very friendly and welcoming. The price is very good as well as the quality The food was awesome I recommend pennette ( tomato sauce) its very flavorful, the warm octopus with black olive and potatoes is also great for starters with beet root salad delicious I will be back at this chelsea location for sure

Jutamat K.

Yelp
I just have a fantastic brunch at Da Andrea. Love everything!!! Let's enjoy your summer brunch with a prefix menu that features a variety of delicious dishes for 29$ per person. The food is of excellent quality and showcases the authentic flavors of Italy. Service was so great. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm, very beautiful making it the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely brunch with your love ones, friends or family. Da Andrea is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable Italian dining experience at a beautiful restaurant. Located at 160th 8th Ave, New York

Olga B.

Yelp
This is my 3rd time at this location, as always the food is delicious and service very good, thank you to Giulia for her service.

Robyn T.

Yelp
This place is absolutely STUNNING!! As soon as you walk up you know it's going to be beautiful inside !! I went to eat by myself and was in awe from the moment I stepped inside. It's so cozy and inviting and the server was sooo friendly it was wonderful The food was absolutely delicious!! The pasta is really fresh and flavorful. Definitely will be eating here often now

Leslie S.

Yelp
A very lovely experience here. This is a beautiful restaurant in my Chelsea nabe that has changed hands many times. Lovely service. Took a friend for his 30th Birthday. We shared a Cesar salad - was good. I ordered an Aperol Spritz which I thought too sweet - changed for a dry rose was nice but then saw a Fave wine I love from Sicily D'Avola red yummmy! Only stumble was my friend is a big meat eater + they had an enormous 32 oz some kind of steak - came with 2 sides -we had a pasta w eggplant - good + broccoli rabe - better! The steak was quite good came with dollops of herbed butter + steak sauce served separately. Loved that it came w a piece pf bone marrow + was def in the Medium rare range which is what we ordered. When I told the server it was a birthday (we chose a dessert) which they brought out w candles etc. Very nice! Only crinkle @ Bill time the steak special for 2 was $145! While its not breaking my bank I feel like both they should have quoted the price (a special not on menu) + I ought to have asked! Still all good in the end.

Skye Y.

Yelp
We had a great dinner tonight. The tuna tartare ans Bronzino are delicious! Our server Sebastian is also a ray of sunshine.

Liz B.

Yelp
I've been to the Greenwich location before and loved it so I decided to bring my friends here before a comedy show! We shared a bottle of wine and I ordered the Tagliolini de Nero ( 8/10) it was really good but I liked the carbonara better! The bread was as good as ever and even though the waitress said they didn't do anything to celebrate engagements, she brought out some mini biscotti and creme anglaise for my friend at the end! This location is definitely better for interior space and decoration!

Jeff M.

Yelp
Was extremely excited to check out this new neighborhood spot as I'm a huge fan of their Greenwich Village location. We strolled in for our 7:30 reservation on time and were kindly asked what section of the restaurant we wanted to sit in. We decided to sit in the back as we thought it would be more intimate and it was. The restaurant does a nice job as it has two rooms and one gives you that NYC vibe and the other is more romantic. The service throughout the night was spot on. Our drinks were delicious and all the food was phenomenal. We shared the carpaccio to start and burrata. Pro tip is to use their in house/made fresh every day bread as a mixer for everything. It was so good, that I asked for two lol. My wife and I both had homemade pastas and were delicious with nice presentations. We ordered the ricotta cheesecake for dessert and it was the perfect ending to a great dining experience. Bravo to the team at Da Andrea for a seamless transition into the new spot. We will definitely be back!

Phaedra S.

Yelp
Tried this charming gem in Chelsea and i will say the drinks were lovely. I recommend the espresso martini and peach Bellini. I'd also like to shout out our amazing server Guiliana she knew the menu really well and had great recommendations. I really liked the mussels we had that as a starter and had the carbonara as the main course.

Iman N.

Yelp
Giulia was an amazing waitress and also helped me with my Italian!!! Food was really good

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Excellent service + delicious pasta + relaxing ambiance! Love the interior decor. The housemade spinach raviolis with truffle were incredible. My server Kadir was also attentive and friendly. Great dinner, would come back again.

Sara S.

Yelp
Da Andrea is delicious and so pretty inside. The staff is excellent, especially Kadir! I had the ravioli di noci and it was very tasty. And the crème brûlée is such a treat!

Mike S.

Yelp
This was an incredible meal from start to finish. We came here with my son and his girlfriend after roaming around Midtown. We were seated quickly. As a first course, we ordered veal ravioli and the risotto of the day. Both were cooked perfectly; the risotto was just al dente with asparagus, and the ravioli--I can't even put it into words. I ordered the Osso Bucco, and it was perfect. A nice-sized shank of veal that just fell apart, with a delicious portion of marrow. The service was top-notch. The service was excellent, not rushed,, and made to feel very relaxed. The shining star of the evening was our waitress, Julia. She brought the quality of service that can only come from Italy. She was a joy and very attentive, constantly checking on our table to ensure everything was fine, and it was her first night there!. we will be back.

Joan S.

Yelp
This place was amazing! Every entree was just as the menu described and the true Italian flavoring was spot on. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation when in the City.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Made a reservation on Open Table for a Saturday night for a party of 4. We were seated promptly and the restaurant had a nice intimate feel - dim lighting, candles, etc. The food was good, but nothing I'd ride home about. The staff was very pleasant, however, the service did feel rushed. We were checked on very frequently, but we felt like we weren't really given time to digest the menu and our offerings. Towards the end of the night, after ordering a second bottle of wine and still having some still in our glasses, we were asked to kindly get up and move to the bar. I understand the need to flip tables, but consideration to your paying guests is key.

Anna F.

Yelp
Guilia did an excellent job taking care of us. The food was amazing!! The cocktails were tasty as well

Amy P.

Yelp
Had a lovely experience at Da Andrea. Walking in, greeted warmly, we were transported out of Manhattan. Service was amazing and the food delicious. We were surrounded by what seemed to be friends sharing a meal after a work week, couples out on a date night, and an overall atmosphere of happiness. We will be back the next time we are in NYC.

Ron A.

Yelp
Pretty glad they opened even closer in Chelsea, not that the Village was far. For those who are unaware, Da Andrea replaces the former Mexicue on 8th and 18th. We started with cocktails, the Rosmarino Spritz was refreshing and brilliant. We shared the Salmone Affumicato and Aquamarina salad, which were terrific and perfect share-plates. The Affumicato were hot, with great toast on the sides while remaining soft and fluffy inside. The thinly sliced salmon was slightly smoked, think nova as opposed to lox. The purple onion was sliced paper thin so only to accent and not to offend. The Salmone Affumicato was truly fabulous; the Italian version of a bagel, lox and onion brunch. The Aqua Marina salad was both beautiful and subtly fantastic in its mix of flavor and texture. The Omelette Parma was a tasty and pretty plate, with a smartly diced asparagus for an easier bite. The Chitarra alla Carbonara with freshly made pasta was creamy deliciousness with bite-sized pieces of rendered bacon. The ambiance of Da Andrea is elegant and welcoming, and I loved the placement and use of live small potted trees as decor.

Tania G.

Yelp
Have been here twice now and both experiences have been different yet great! The first time I came it was packed - hardly one table open and the second and most recent time it was only but a few tables taken - both experiences were enjoyable - especially the food! This second time around we had the ravioli on a walnut sauce and the gnocchi with some added shrimp. Both very delicious - and we ended up sharing the Tiramisu for dessert which was not too spongy not too creamy - just perfect! Ambiance is very cozy and festive and I love that they have booths - has a old school yet modern type of feel.

Karen I.

Yelp
The most beautiful ambiance and space!! Perfect for a date night or cozy dinner with friends. Kadir was very attentive to our group and so helpful the entire night! Great service and food -- the Pennette was a favorite amongst the pastas and the drinks, especially the fizzwere refreshing and delicious!
