The 17 Best Diners In NYC

"Coffee: $3.50 The very best diners bite off more than they can chew. Unsatisfied with omelets, burgers, and corned beef hash, they, like Icarus and the founder of Jurassic Park, dare to court danger. Would you like a whole lobster? Or a plate of moussaka? How about some monte cristo french toast with a shiny cap of barely melted cheese? You’ll find all of that and more at this spacious, 24-hour spot with checkered tablecloths and walls featuring photos of mostly-forgotten celebrities. The wifi password is “chelsea1” in case you need it." - willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, will hartman, bryan kim, neha talreja, sonal shah

The Restaurants & Bars Featured On "Succession," Ranked

"During a breakfast meeting at Chelsea Square Restaurant, Roman makes a joke in which he suggests that the diner couldn’t possibly make an almond milk cortado. But Chelsea Square Restaurant does have almond milk, and they’d probably make you a cortado. The service at this longstanding Chelsea establishment is prompt and friendly, and there’s free wifi in case you need to do work or watch YouTube while you eat your eggs or turkey burger. There isn’t much going on here on weekday afternoons, so by all means stop by for a meeting. Near the entrance, you’ll see a bunch of headshots of esteemed celebrities, such as Erik Estrada from CHiPs, and someone who once played an uncredited factory worker on Veep." - bryan kim

Chelsea Square Restaurant Review - Chelsea - New York - The Infatuation

"There’s an SNL sketch that pokes fun at diners that serve lobster, and we’re pretty sure it was inspired by Chelsea Square Restaurant. We can’t prove it, but this old-school establishment does serve lobster—in addition to a few Greek and Italian dishes, as well as a lot of other seafood—although we wouldn’t get too fancy here. Stop by for a standard-issue omelet or some brioche french toast the next time you want to have a quiet start to your day. There’s plenty of space in the wood-paneled dining room, which is decorated with stained glass light fixtures and headshots of celebrities who range from A- to Z-list. If you need to do some work, take advantage of the free wifi, and if you want to eat a turkey burger at 3am, pop in and grab a table. This place is open 24 hours." - Bryan Kim

Neighborhood diner for VERY hearty meals. The quantity they serve is quite impressive, you will leave full for sure.

6/18 light dinner night, i had a bowl of the beef barley soup- really good. Stuffed grape leaves (you get 9 for $10) they were good and wrapped tight. A few Greek olives too. The GF wanted pancakes - good. 5/31/25 brunch time! Still great food. Me and the GF, both got Western egg sandwiches ($8), turkey sausage ($9), coffee ($4 free refills) and rice pudding ($6) still good & perfect size for sharing if your 'forced to' ;) CC payment fee fyi. 12/21/24 back again for breakfast. Seems like new owners... All prices are up about $1 from the menu i posted a few months ago. I didn't get a chance to take new pics. Me and the GF had Western egg Sammies. Turkey sausage on the side (3 big reds for $9) and rice pudding for dessert. All good. 11/15/19 update: had the mussels marinara (on special), not too bad for a diner. Always good, always a fun spot. Soups are good, rice pudding is good, pancakes are good and the turkey sausage is good too. Coffee..... Yes, free refils, more please.

Google
They add 3 eggs in your eggs benefits or omelette to make you feel better bc their breakfasts are around 22$-$23each. That is pretty high for diner price. The French toast was also 21$. The eggs and spinach have no flavor. I had to add my own seasonings the hollandaise seems and taste homemade by an amateur. No taste! The syrup they provide is the cheap high fructose corn syrup. It’s ok if you want to be full but the food overall is probably not fresh or healthy. Fries were pale, not fried all the way. Possibly just out of the freezer. They make you pay your bill at the cashier and they don’t let you choose your tip %. They will ask you out loud “how many % tip?” Quantity over quality kind of place.

I have been coming here for years. I now live in Phoenix. When I visit NYC I always come here for my breakfast. Superb service and food.

Google
Look, it's a 24 hour diner which does the biggest portions known to man even by US standards. HOWEVER, the service is fantastic - everyone was super friendly and lovely, and chatty. We had so much fun there. The chicken parmgiana sandwich was pretty good as was the Matzo ball soup. They do great wine! For €30 we got a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Also got slices of Pumpkin Pie, which was really good. For a late night feast, this is 100% the place to go.

The Chelsea Square Restaurant in New York is a hidden gem that captures the essence of a cozy, old-fashioned diner. With its nostalgic ambiance, hearty and delicious breakfast offerings, and top-notch service, it is a must-visit for those seeking a taste of the past in the bustling heart of Manhattan. Whether you're a local looking for a comforting breakfast or a visitor in search of a genuine diner experience, this place won't disappoint. My visit left me with fond memories, and I look forward to returning to relive the nostalgia and indulge in more delightful breakfasts in the future.

Google
Super nice place! I went on a Wednesday morning and a very nice man greeted us. We got pancakes and eggs w bread and hash browns etc. We also got lattes which was good too. My pancakes were so big that I couldn’t finish them unfortunately but the were so spongy and full but still light in a way. Everything was quite reasonably priced! Definitely a chill place to eat in the morning :) They had SOOOO many options for lunch and dinner as well as for breakfast/brunch

Google
We really enjoyed our brunch at Chelsea Square Diner. The place wasn’t busy when we arrived, so we got a table right away—not because it’s not a great spot, but simply because we got lucky that day. Portions were generous, and the food quality was solid. The staff was attentive, and the prices were exactly what you’d expect from a classic New York diner—neither cheap nor expensive, just right. One standout was the coffee roast, which was surprisingly delicious, something you don’t always find in diners. The eggs were also on the larger side, which was a nice touch. The diner itself has a bit of an older look, which adds to its charm. It feels like a piece of New York from the ’80s or ’90s, rather than a trendy, modern spot with loud music and flashy decor. If you’re looking for a classic diner experience in the heart of Chelsea, this place is perfect. Five stars.

Yelp
I got halfway through my turkey sandwich before I had crazy diarrhea and neither the door to the mens room nor the toilet stall had a lock. I miss NY diners. Go to Malibu Diner which is on the same block and didn't fuck my guts up.

Yelp
While visiting NYC, we went here for breakfast one morning. The food and service, as always, was fantastic. I had pancakes, crispy bacon and french fries. I love this restaurant because i have never had a bad meal here. I love this place so much.

Yelp
I had gone to the bar next door to watch a game and upon leaving I stumbled upon this diner. It had a cozy atmosphere and tons of food options. Service was excellent, food was delicious!

Yelp
We were three NYC visitors hungry after walking the High Line a bit. We were disappointed the HL section was closed; but where we exited, within a few blocks was this friendly-looking neighborhood cafe. Inside was a pleasant mix of folks. We were seated immediately. Louis was our server and recommended several items from the special and the regular menu. He was a good adviser! When we left we thought we'd just visited Little Italy! Thanks folks - I'm just eating at home the second half of the giant portion Meatballs/Spaghetti.

Yelp
Service was great. I loved hanging out in this diner. There were no frills and service was quick. The food was fine.

Barbara R.

Yelp
I have ordered the same item multiple times at this diner during the same week. The waiter always ups the price of my sandwich every time I go there. The food is quite good but be careful that the waiter does not overcharge you. Keep the menu and compare with the check. I don't think I will be going there again because of this. My turkey sandwich is quite good and the soup is good as well but I don't like the bait and switch.

Yelp
The outside of the business is very welcoming with an LGBTQIA+ Flag. Soon as I walked in I was greeted my the hostess who was friendly and sat me right away. Once I had a seat in a both - a server approached and provided me with fresh water and silverware. The staff I encountered was very friendly and kept checking if I needed anything. The chicken Caesar wrap was so fresh and seasoned perfectly.

Yelp
We were sightseeing, just heading to the https://groundzeromuseumworkshop.org (check it out!). We stumbled upon this quaint restaurant. Service was quick and friendly. Food amazing and gigantic proportions. Don't miss it.

Yelp
Undeterred by the thicket of recent negative reviews, we decided to eat lunch here and we're glad that we did! We were quite hungry after walking to and from Little Island. Someone came over right away to take our order but we told him to come back in a few minutes because the menu is quite extensive. My wife was loves breakfast and ordered a well-done mushroom omelet. I chose the triple decker turkey club with mayo on the side. Both orders were at our table in four minutes. My wife was delighted that her omelet was cooked exactly as specified, which is often not the case. My sandwich was picture perfect, cradling a mountain of crispy fries. A small tub of coleslaw completed the picture. I started out with the wonderfully tasty fries, and so did my wife; fortunately there were plenty to share! Finally I got to the sandwich, which seemed extremely dry. At first I thought it was due to not being slathered in mayonnaise, but even after dutifully spreading that sebaceous substance on each slice, I concluded the problem was incredibly dry turkey. So don't worry about ordering it with the mayo! The restaurant's interior is quite dated but the prices are reasonable, the service was excellent and the food quite good overall. There are certainly better diners in NYC but as the song goes: if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.

Yelp
Love the split pea soup and have been a long time customer at Chelsea Square. Today 1/14/24 , ordered some take out food and now I know what is that special seasoning, (Roach droppings). I was waiting for my food and saw a good size roach crawling on the frother machine. I mention to worker and manager, and let's hope they get an exterminator. Then, I ordered a cheese burger and who makes a cheese burger with no lettuce or tomato. Just cheese....
google avatar

Yelp
Gigantic portions! None of us were able to finish our food and ended up with a lot of leftovers. The chicken parm was especially huge. It comes with two huge pieces of chicken breast, one huge plate of spaghetti, and a big bowl of soup. I got the chicken fingers and it was also extremely big. However, things tasted pretty mediocre--less good than what I'd expect for the price. Came here Monday night 630pm without reservation and there were many open tables. Waiter was nice and took our orders quickly. This place also charges ~3% fees for credit card, so remember to bring cash when you come!!

Yelp
Cute diner! Was sat right away on a Saturday, late morning which was surprising to me but very pleasing. I was starving. Loved the family feel. I ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich. So tasty! Eggs were cooked perfectly. The bread was soooooo good! Even days later, I'm still thinking about that sandwich. My friend ordered the waffle with Nutella and berries. It was huge and very delicious. The waffle was perfectly balanced, slightly sweet but not overly so. Also ordered the home fries, they were more like hash browns with peppers and onions but he said they were good just not what he expected home fries to be. Great service and great food! We picked this diner because it was conveniently located near the High Line, which we walked after breakfast. Highly recommend both!

Yelp
I'm not one to post reviews and always feel awful giving a poor review. But, I feel like others should know what's going on here. There is clearly an infestation problem that is not properly being taken care of. Unfortunately, I found a baby roach on my sandwich (I guess the bright side is, it was on the outside and not inside of the sandwich?!) The staff was very understanding and seemed horrified themselves. We did not have to pay for our meal (reason for the 2 star rating). I really do hope they get it together and clean the place up. As a side note, I know it was a roach because I was a health inspector for 2 years and I am very familiar with what they look like.

Yelp
I've always wondered about this diner with walking by over the years. It seems like its been around for decades. They're open 24 hours. Like, there's one staple in New York City that's been disappearing dramatically and it's the old school no frills diners. Anyway, yeah, I'm going to preface this by saying they're pretty damn expensive. BUT - the portions are absolutely enormous for what you're getting. Like I took home half of my breakfast from this weekend. They also serve alcohol I think 24/7 with a full bar if that's your jam. But I forwent having any brunch cocktail as they were typically around $12-15. The options are endless as usual. In my indecisive nature I usually go with something really off the walls weird (I was staring at the cheese blintzes on the menu for awhile as well as the cheddar patty melt, chicken fingers, and fish and chips) but ultimately went with an omelette. In which the variety of breakfast and egg dishes is pretty daunting. Decided on the Lox and onion omelette (again, weird choice) that comes with a side bagel and a wedge of cream cheese as well as potatoes. The boy went with the Chorizo omelette that was seemingly more normal with avocado, onion and mozz. We both decided we aren't crazy about onions but it kind of worked with the salty salmon. Okay - my dish covered the size of an enormous platter and the bagel and cheese was on a separate plate. The omelette in itself had a huge amount of lox in it. The only suggestion I would make is smear the cream cheese onto your eggs to make it what I really wanted and intended on devouring and save that bagel for a poor man's breakfast the next day. The potatoes are something to write home about. I'm never a huge fan of homefries or skillet potatoes or hashbrowny things with diners because usually they suck. These were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and well seasoned. Just absolute perfection. The service is amazing. They're also pretty funny and cute. Someone nearby was having a small birthday brunch gathering and the entire crew came in singing with gusto with a lit up piece of cake. Like you can tell these people really care about the place.

Yelp
I am surprised by the bad reviews. I have been to this restaurant/ diner twice. First time, I came only because the diner was open for 24 hours in Manhattan without any expectation. I ordered my usual breakfast which was surprisingly good ( the food and the price considering it is located in Manhattan.) Staffs were very friendly and accommodating. The second time, we tried Chicken Parmigian which was superb. The sauce was awesome and the pasta was cooked perfectly. We found our little spot in Manhattan which is open for 24 hours with great food. I am very happy with this place. Too bad that I didn't take any picture.

Nan S.

Yelp
Don't agree with Kevin M AT ALL! We love this place, the food is delicious, everyone is so nice and remembers us year after year! The portions are perfect and you don't feel ripped off like every other new restaurant. This place is classic and the way places should be!

B W.

Yelp
Tried this place out based on reviews. Place has potential. Ordered breakfast around lunchtime and it did not take very long. When I sat down, I must have been asked by 3 different waiters if I wanted something to drink. Why not just listen to what the customer wants and not try to promote something that adds to the bill? I felt somewhat rushed at first, but once the food came I hardly saw the waiters come by, check on me. During my meal, I did notice some regular guests come in and they seemed to special attention. Why not treat all customers this way? Portions are definitely hearty, and it tasted okay. Based on a couple of reviews I did wonder if they changed the rate of the meal since it was hand written by the waiter and you take it up front to pay. I was not offered any discount for paying cash. Ample seating and music was not too loud. I may visit again sometime but hope for a better experience with the wait staff.

Yelp
Chelsea Square is always a sure bet. A real diner! Relaxed, friendly. My companion and I sat for nearly 2 hours after we'd finished eating.

Yelp
Chelsea Square restaurant has been in the neighborhood for decades, serving both local regulars and out-of-towners looking for a nice spot for some old fashioned diner grub. The diner is open 24/7, with plenty of indoor (and now, outdoor) seating, kitschy interiors, and a bustling atmosphere filled with Sunday morning conversations. This was my second visit (first time since before the pandemic), and was greeted by an exceptionally friendly manager, Herman, who stopped by multiple times to check on us and was also kind enough to help us bag up leftovers and take a group picture. Overall, generous portions (my eggs benny came with 3 eggs instead of the advertised 2, which was a pleasant surprise), strong coffee (with free refills), and chipper service means it's worth a return visit in the future.

Cody C.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Used to live right around the corner and since I moved away, even after almost 10 years, they still remember my face when I visit.
google avatar

Layla K.

Yelp
The chili was literally just ground beef. Like a solid pound of ground beef. The pancakes were fine, a bit dry but overall average.
google avatar

Frank A.

Yelp
Terrific diner in Chelsea. Large menu as you would expect, but everything is good. Stick with the finer basics and you will be very happy. Grilled cheese, tuna melt, burgers, fries, etc are all very good. Service can be a bit spotty at peak times. Great value for money.

L L.

Yelp
Went there for their Thanksgiving Day special and oh boy... there wasn't anything special about the food and experience. In addition to the food being bland and tasteless, it was way, way, way overpriced. Service was bad. Server was rude and impatient, forced me to order even though I told him I needed time. After an unsatisfying meal, I took the check to the cashier and the cashier put me on the spot and asked me how much I wanted to tip. I would give this place a zero star if I could. The experience from the start till end was very uncomfortable and not great. Not going back again and would not recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Flor P.

Yelp
This place was great, had lots of space and were able to take us in right away. The pancakes were my favorite abs the hot chocolate came there really close. The omelet is huge, I mean all portions are so beware of that if you're going by yourself. To be honest, we could've been 3 and ate the eggs and pancakes with berries. Service was great, I even lost my phone for a few seconds and they stopped everything to help us find it. Price was good too, so definitely will add this to my list of must come back when coming to the city.
google avatar

Wesley K.

Yelp
Not bad! Diner food yet the prices are higher because they are 24/7. The matzoh ball soup ($6) hit the spot and my friend ordered the filet mignon with eggs and potatoes ($32). The iced coffee ($4) was decent and kept me awake for a little. Be aware that you are not coming here for quality. It is more for the convenience of the NYC diner charm as well as meeting people 24/7.
google avatar

LiZ B.

Yelp
We loved this adorable diner! HUGE portions and we left with plenty of leftovers. Definitely a neighborhood feel and it seemed like everyone knew each other. The servers were so attentive. My soup was definitely made with fresh veggies, you could tell it wasn't frozen. Everyone was so nice. I saw some reviews said this place was expensive but I disagree, I've eaten less food for a lot more money in other places.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
A Chelsea institution with a classic diner vibe. Food is good but so so expensive. Normally when I come here I just get breakfast. Truth is that even if its good, its just so expensive! I guess we can blame rising prices in rent. Still, there's a reason why this place has been around longer than most Chelsea residents. Its great food.
google avatar

Lu L.

Yelp
I very, very rarely post to Yelp. But my turkey club sandwich was so delicious I need to let everyone know! I love turkey club sandwiches and this one was outstanding. Super fresh, juicy turkey and a lot of it. Crispy, warm bacon. The pickles were great and the coleslaw was well-drained and fresh. Fries were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Service was fast and friendly.
google avatar

Red R.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Chelsea catering to locals--almost no tourists in this 24 hour dinner. Roast duck on weekends is worth the trip from anywhere in Manhattan. And portion size is amazing--half a duck. Another all but disappeared NY specialty is Manhattan Clam Chowder, available at Chelsea Square. This is a tomato based soup not a white cream based "Chowda" and New Yorkers pronounce the "r." It's not "Chowda" in NY. Highly recommended for any meal at any time of day.
google avatar

E W.

Yelp
Your usual neighborhood dinner, large portion of ok food, good as drunk food or you're starving

Kevin M.

Yelp
I want this restaurant to succeed and there are some really nice people who work here. But it needs a lot of improvement: make your portions smaller but make them taste better. It's clear nothing is fresh and it's all frozen. It is all bland and tasteless!! Train the chef to do a good job and use fresh ingredients. You made a good start by cutting down the menu-- now teach him or her to cook!! The neighborhood has changed and the old formula of a massive amount of mediocre food with soup, salad etc is tired and nobody wants that. With the prices you charge people expect tasty, fresh food! For example, your omelette with a few vegetables and an extra charge for cheese which is ridiculous because all omelettes should have cheese, and a side of fruit and coffee and you get a bill for over $40, for one person! As many people have noted, the woman with dark hair who seats you and runs the register is nasty and rude and you will make more money if you let her go. Customers have stopped coming because of her. If you don't order instantly she acts as if she is enraged. Get her a job as a prison guard! We want you to succeed but you must change: fewer items of all cooked fresh food and no wicket witch and you will be full all the time!!
google avatar

Kelly N.

Yelp
THE absolute best place for breakfast in NYC! The atmosphere was so warming and I loved the gingham tablecloth for each table. The service was good and our waitress was so sweet, suggesting better meals from what we originally wanted. The bathroom is dirty though, but besides that, food was great and service was great. I recommend the Belgian waffles 1000%, the eggs were on the blander side however in my opinion. The coffee with 3 sugar packets and milk to the brim of the cup was so perfect. One of the best coffees I've drank in any diner.
google avatar

Will P.

Yelp
I was pretty excited to run a crossed best diner. Absolutely a classic. No I had to take a double take at the prices I had to remember I was in NYC. But when the meal came out I was blown away at the quality. I had the CA burger and my partner the chicken sandwich. Both of us took 1/2 home. Some of the best fries I have had in years. I didn't have room for the dessert cakes. But next time I will just go for those...what a selection! This come with my Ultimate guarantee. If you don't like the food give me a call and I'll finish it. Ha ha

Crystal C.

Yelp
We used to come here all the time and the service was so great. The waitstaff was friendly and quick! I went in the other day for the first time in a long time and was disappointed. The woman at the front was incredibly rude, making comments under her breath about customers.. someone came in making a delivery and asked to use the restroom. She ignored him but then without even looking up said ok sure it's in the back. After he walked by she said out loud "can't people read there is a sign out there saying no public restroom. The poor guy was delivering something to the business and that's the kind of treatment he received. I used to feel a sense of community with this diner. In NYC it's rare to find. This miserable person is not leaving any good impressions, at least on me. I don't think we will be back. Sorry.
google avatar

Ilan G.

Yelp
24 hours deli Went for a late night matzoh ball. Not good at all. Will try other things next time
google avatar

Blake M.

Yelp
The advertised prices online don't match the higher prices in their menu in the cafe. Everything was nearly double. The staff wasn't very friendly and lacking in service. I only ordered a Belgian waffle with regular syrup bc they charge $4 more for "real syrup". This place has mastered the art of nickel and diming people to death. I paid $11 for one plain waffle with butter. NEVER AGAIN!!!!Expect to spend about $20 on basic diner breakfast. To top it all off I wasn't goin to tip more than a dollar bc of the experience and the girl asked how much I wanted to tip bc she had to enter it which was odd. I said, just 1 dollar and she added $2 for tip. This is crooked and illegal. Would never return and warn anyone from out of town to go elsewhere, this place is a bad business with a sketchy staff. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
google avatar

Andrew D.

Yelp
Came here with my friend to thank him for broadway tickets. I arrived early and the owner allowed me to sit in a large booth and wait for my friend to arrive. He was pleasant and gave me two menus. My friend arrived and I ordered the Belgian waffles. They were delicious. My friend had a burger deluxe. I liked how we didn't feel rushed and were able to have a nice long conversation and catch up. Tip- if you pay with a credit card they add a fee to cover their expenses.

Kenn A.

Yelp
The service is alright; standard New York hospitality, "old-skool" feel. Quality of the food was about what you'd expect from a busy diner. But the food poisoning.. I'm not sure what's going on back there, but a turkey club turned into a miserable 24- hours. I didn't eat half of it & within 6 hours, sick as a dog. This is definitely not it.
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
The worst service and food. I had severe food poisoning from my breakfast, specifically the sausage. When in New York I will literally stay away from this place. The cleanliness is void and I should have just left.
google avatar

Fatzanne G.

Yelp
I'm done! My last time being here done if for me. I was having an early dinner here with my lil sister on Dec 6th, 2021 and while dining, I looked to my right and saw a couple dining with their DOG! I have nothing against Dogs but the thought of it taking a poop in the restaurant made me nauseous! This was a very big dog therefore it's poop would've been MASSIVE! Good Bye!

Julia H.

Yelp
I was very hungry and on foot when I searched for food near me while in mid Manhattan. Chelsea Square looked good and was close. What a home run! service was great. I couldn't decide and asked for a recommendation between 3 dishes. The server didn't mind and chose the chicken parm. It was super good, enough for a couple meals for me and affordable. The chicken was crispy and had good flavor. The pasta was ordinary but fine. The bread was soft and had good flavor. I recommend!

P A.

Yelp
Food is bland and overpriced. They also allow panhandlers outside their door to harass people for money. Stay away.
google avatar

Darryl L.

Yelp
Not the worst dining experience I've had in New York, (my wife would beg to differ) but not the best. It starts off with getting a glass of water in cup that had another person's lipstick on the rim. Then they got my wife's order wrong and the reaction to it, was less than acceptable. I wasn't thrilled that I wouldn't swap out the Cole slaw for fries. I mean, aren't you supposed to make the customer happy? The nice thing I will say about this restaurant is has an old school Greek restaurant vibe. You could hear the workers talking amongst it selves. Also the meat loaf sandwich wasn't bad. I always saw this place when I was taking my mother to another restaurant and was a little curious. Suffice to say my itch was scratched and I definitely won't be coming back.

Yelp
I am so overdue to review this place. Reader, it is the best diner in Manhattan. I have breakfast or dinner here roughly once a week, for years. It's one of those diners where the size of the menu seems impossible given the size of the kitchen, but we don't ask questions. They make most everything in-house, the service is fast, and the prices are reasonable (for the neighborhood ... you can get cheaper scrambled eggs in Iowa, but not in Chelsea). The waiters are old-school New York diner waiters; snap at them and they'll snap back, but they'll always remember your order and make sure you get what you want. I love this spot for eggs, pancakes, omelets, sandwiches and burgers. Some of the fancier dinner stuff might be a little outside their lane, but they try.

Yelp
I frequently have ordered from this establishment because it is in my neighborhood, and I typically get the same couple of items which is their chili con carne and butter toast muffins I recently tried a danish, which I will tell you about that horror story, and I've tried their Louisiana chicken tenders. The Louisiana chicken tenders horrible don't waste your money. The sauce is put on some frozen chicken tenders that are not seasoned and it seems like a afterthought muffins are average. Nothing that you can't get from a cart here in NYC. The chili con carne for 20 bucks you get a healthy portion, but it's weird because it is filled with mushrooms unless you request otherwise and when it comes to the flavoring, the chili itself isn't as flavored as one would think and it's flooded with bay bay leaves. Like who does that has no one heard of a cheesecloth put the bay leaves in that once it's done cooking pull out the entire cheese cloth. There is no reason I should feel like a hamster chowing down on full bath leaves throughout my chil con carne. And for 20 bucks, you shouldn't have to consistently give special directions to add cheddar cheese to include sour cream to include crackers. Those things should just be a given, and last, but not least the horror story of a dish that I received that I was eating, and I was thinking of myself. The dish didn't taste right, and I happen to lay the dish down a particular way, which caused me to look at the bottom and brought to my attention it was mold on the bottom of it. I have included pictures of it. Talk about being grossed out talk about being disgusted. I just pray at this point that I'm not gonna get sick with him the next few days as a result, but I would say leave this place as your result because it is 24 hours if everything else is closed.

Yelp
This place is dogshit. The worst restaurant I've eaten at in my entire life. Only reason they are still in business is because they prey on drunk people. Meaning that one would have to be wasted or baked to stand the food here. My friend got a cheesecake and it had freezer burn on it. My other friend that will eat anything, did not even finish his food. Worst possible restaurant in New York for sure.

Yelp
This is my Dinner. My whole life this diner has been here, lasting through Moonstruck, and Railline. It is my best friend date place, the place I bring a partner, the place Ive been with family. They make good drinks, amazing food. The staff are always friendly and attentive. I'm happy they are here. The 24/7 thing also is a real game changer. French Fries are great! Breakfast all day is the way the world should be. I got excited they were in the show POSE!!! I feel comfortable when I go to Chelsea Square, it has never been overly loud, I've never experienced bad service, never thought a server was having a bad day. They understand what they are doing in this restaurant and I respect them. Now they have outdoor dining!! Haha this place went from 100-1000 in 2020. They are not expensive either!! Thank you all for being here.

Yelp
This diner is our go-to for breakfast rather than eating in our hotel. Good food, excellent service, great location.
