"Overlooking Taylor Lake, both the upper- and lower-level decks at Chelsea Wine Bar provide relaxing views of the water. Frequently visited by NASA astronauts from the nearby Johnson Space Center, Chelsea features hand-painted murals, jukebox tunes, an extensive wine and craft beer list, and pub fare such as shepherd’s pie, sliders, and flatbreads." - Marcy de Luna

It's the best local spot and, low-key, intimate. Perfect for friends and couples. Love splitting the pitchers of sangria and hanging out. Enjoy some of the finger foods and desserts. The views are gorgeous, and I love the indoor style and outdoor porch/patio/deck.

Google
Super cool place we accidentally found while looking for something else. We’ve been back several times since then. Definitely worth a visit if like wine. Great selection and helpful staff. Atmosphere is relaxing with great views outside and creative decor inside. Prices are extremely fair and you get a really good deal if you purchase wine to go. We didn’t have any food so nothing to repost for that.

Google
Always a win and a a beautiful place to sit outside and enjoy the view. White sangria is a must if you like sweet drinks and the pizzas are great too!

Google
My first time there, and I'll definitely be coming back with friends. The murals on the wall and the decor makes this cozy wine bar very appealing. The upstairs balcony is perfect for watching sunsets. We ordered Frozés (they were delicious) and the goat cheese and marinara appetizer. Totally worth getting and sharing with friends. We didn't try any of the decadent desserts, but friends told us they were amazing!

Google
Chilled place, excellent atmosphere or find your own nook to hide out and have wine or beer Food and desserts are excellent 👌🏼

Google
We always enjoy the live music at Chelsea's, especially Mike McCulloch. Their Shepherd's Pie is the second best I've ever had (don't forget that the skillet is very hot!). Why isn't that listed below? I'm told they have a great wine list, and the cakes are to die for!

Google
I am in town for one evening and so happy I found this place! They have excellent customer service, great bites, great wine, & atmosphere. Will definitely come back anytime I’m in town.

Google
The sangria and pizza were really good. The atmosphere and colder weather made it such a nice place to enjoy some drinks with good company.

Edna P.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots. The view is nice and the wine selection is decent. They also serve food

Katheryn B.

Yelp
Our server was nice, and the wine was very good! We sat outside on the second floor and it was a nice way to spend our Sunday afternoon. However, we ordered the Cheese Fondue but it wasn't worth the money. The cheese was't even that warm when they served it to us.

Kevin E.

Yelp
Good wine, descent appetizers, and polite staff, but the place needs a good "clean-up"....the building is old and has a smell that's hard to get past.

Tiffany J.

Yelp
I've been here three times recently and each time has been a great experience. It's such a chill and laid back vibe. This place is good for groups or for a date night. There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The upstairs patio has a nice view of the lake. The staff is so friendly. They are great about making suggestions if you're not sure what to order. Shoutout to bartender Jenny who is so sweet! I've had a few different wines and have enjoyed them all. For the non wine drinkers, they have a great selection of craft beer on tap as well as bottled beer. Apparently if you buy a bottle of wine to go, you get a 25% discount. The food is pretty decent too! The Traditional Flatbread (pepperoni basically) and the Pretzel Sticks were yummy! They have an assortment of cakes too! Our favorite is the Betty White cake! It's so good and addicting! It's basically a must have when we go now. The parking lot is shared with 4 or 5 other businesses, but there's plenty of parking. They are open until 2 am which seems to be rare for the suburbs. It's nice having a chill wine bar outside the loop. I'll definitely be back soon.

Yelp
This is my second time at this spot & I have to say that it was amazing the first time around that I had to come back again. The bartenders are nice, welcoming & chilled. The decor is okay but it needs a little bit of remodeling. This is a good spot for a night out with your friends or a first date. There is an inside and outside seating & you can hang out upstairs as well. To start, I decided to order the Rainbow Sherbet which is a sour beer. It was light & had a good amount of sourness to it. If you're a fan of sour beer then I recommend getting it. On my 2nd round I ordered their IPA (We want Houston). It was very good & strong. Definitely had me feeling buzzed. After the second beer I was a little hungry so I got the Flatbread pizza. It came out piping hot. The sauce was tangy & the crust had a nice crunch. Pretty decent bar pizza. I decided to order another IPA and at this point I was craving their dessert. The group tried the Betty white & let me tell you, it was some delicious cake. It was moist, fluffy and they didn't go overboard with the sweetness. My BF wanted the strawberry cake and I took a couple of bites. Tbh, it was okay. It was a bit dry but I did like that it wasn't too sweet. Overall, I had an awesome time. We were chatting the night away while enjoying the outside breeze. There is also a lake right in front of the bar. I'm not sure if we are able to bring our drinks and sit by the water, I'll have to ask next time. The vibe was on point & our bartender Jenni was fantastic. Thank you for being so kind to us. Will I come back? You bet I will.

Yelp
Its a great spot for a quiet night, or to end the night. The prices are fair, tons of seating. I enjoy the live music. Staff is efficient and knowledgeable. It's all business with them, which borders rude, but for the most part polite.

Heather M.

Yelp
Love this place. The views are great, and the drinks/food are even better. It's super cozy inside and wonderfully relaxing on either outdoor deck but I prefer the top one. Loved the pretzels however I'd recommend losing the yellow mustard, Chelsea's! The honey mustard jam-esque one is delicious but queso or a different mustard would definitely be a better option than plain yellow. The salad was a perfect refreshing summertime one. And that frosé- talk about refreshing! One of the best frosé drinks I've ever had.

Maddi B.

Yelp
What a cute spot!!! Came here for some drinks and was thrilled to see $6 sangria on the menu. There were lots of yummy options that I would love to try. They have daily specials and s'mores and fondue... yum! What more could a girl want? Definitely a cute spot for a first date (men, the ladies will love this) or a get together with friends!

Jazmin H.

Yelp
Casual wine bar with dim lighting and friendly staff. They are open late, but their kitchen closes early; food options vary from charcuterie boards to sliders.

Rachel S.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots! Great wine selection and a few beers. They have specials during the week, such as $5 frosé on Thursdays. They sometimes have wine tastings and I definitely recommend them! All the food is delicious. Service is also nice and quick. Patios outside are nice for the evenings and looking out over the water.

Shannon T.

Yelp
Always love this place, the staff is amazing and Suzanna is one of the sweetest women on the planet. Chelsea wine bar is a whole vibe and I love it.

Briana G.

Yelp
I use to live in Seabrook for 15+ years and I never stopped by Chelsea Wine bar, probably because I wasn't 21. I'm so glad I finally came because it was so cool! When you go in, you order your drinks at the bar and you take them to your seats. I recommend sitting outside at the top. You can a view of Taylor Lake and hopefully a sunset if you go in the evening. The decorations inside were unique and random but somehow fit perfectly together. I've heard the cakes are very good so I will be trying that next time!

Thomas K.

Yelp
What a lovely place. Quite romantic with a nice view of Clear Lake. A wonderful selection of wines, continually varied and an equally broad selection of craft beers. There are also appropriate appetizers which are a great complement to whatever your drink preference is and in addition they have dinner specials. Service is at the bar however typically the servers will bring food to your table. Really quite worth it to visit the bar in any case as the person who takes your drink (and food) order is very knowledgeable about the beers, stouts, limbics, ciders and wine on the menu hence they act more in the role of consultants rather than bartenders. The place is a departure from the Kemah Boardwalk both in personality and ambience and certainly on the way to the Boardwalk hence if you want a pleasant experience before your trip to Kemah or if traffic is particularly heavy (which it generally is every weekend, I might suggest you consider a stop...it's well worth it.

Moriah H.

Yelp
Cute wine bar with fair prices. A waterside oasis from the bustle of Houston. Really a very special place near NASA. I got their charcuterie board recently and was impressed with how satisfying it was - 3 ladies split the board for 2 comfortably but also each of us had just had dinner so we were just peckish. I am particular about my wine - no Kendall Jackson on this wine list. Lots of drinkable, more interesting bottles without being inaccessible.

Jessica G.

Yelp
We love this place. Order a grazing board and a bottle of wine. Sit back and relax by the water. Don't forget to order a slice of cake before you leave. This is a great date night spot.

Samantha V.

Yelp
The sangria was so good ! The environment was so comfy and we got to see the sun set through the windows. Really cute place for a first date or just hanging out with friends. Bartender was friendly and recommended stuff on the menu for us

Kathy M.

Yelp
What a great night of food, wine and live music. First time here. Definitely will be back even though it's an hour drive away.

Lee D.

Yelp
Everything we ate was delicious, staff was great, vibes were awesome! Went on a rainy day so we sat inside but it was so cute and cozy!

Jack W.

Yelp
I AM BACK! Thank the good Lord above this placed survived Covid... can I just tell you? So I decided to pop in for a few pints at my old watering hole and who do I find but my old buddy that still tends bar here. Was so good to see her. Anyway, the service...impeccable, the food choices...awesome and the beer and wine, so yummy! Come one, come all, this place is amazing, and so are the locals that drink here, myself included!

Eric D.

Yelp
Cool place to chill at sunset. Definitely will be back next time we are in town. Good selection of beers

Josefina M.

Yelp
Friendly reminder- this is a must try place!!! 10/10 recommend!!! I love coming here with friends and catching up. The hummus is amazing as well as their desserts. If I could- I'd come here everyday!

Cody B.

Yelp
Great date night spot. Has an upstairs deck that over looks the water at sunset and they have some really good wine to choose from. I also recommend the hummingbird cake!!

David H.

Yelp
Excellent wine list! The charcuterie board and hummingbird cake are exquisite! This place makes you feel like you've escaped.

Golemi G.

Yelp
The best of the best. Amazing truly excellent and exceptional. Wine wines love music food NASA, astronauts, science

Caley T.

Yelp
What a wonderful little gem we found during our visit to Galveston. After a long day of unfortunate events we were ready to get home with some dessert and wine on my birthday and this place brightened up my day with its expressively painted walls, lake gazing patio, and friendly service. If only I lived in Galveston I could see my self clicking away at my laptop on the Victorian tufted wall bench in winter or enjoying laughs over wine and friends under string a string kit patio. Oh and the pumpkin cupcakes were as delicious and they were rust orange Enjoy it for me please.

Joanne C.

Yelp
My husband and I frequent this spot a lot. With a dim romantic inside seating to a patio that looks out onto the water...you would frequent this spot also! Many wine and beer selections as well as a delicious display of tasty desserts! Food is served here as well and they have specials throughout the week. Our favorite is to grab wine and a charcuterie plate, and plant our bums on the top patio watching the boats go by. If you come at the right time then you can watch the sunset with bae. We have had steak night here and it was delicious and cooked how we like it - medium! This year they decided to do a "Valentine's Night at Chelsea". They arranged the upstairs where the table outlined the room and the food all in the middle. It was nice to not be cramped and feel like you were at an intimate dinner with your significant other. While we waited for the main course they had a nice cheese fondue & chocolate fountain set up with a charcuterie display. Many of choices and you were able to enjoy it before, during, and after dinner. Then came the main course of steak with Mac n cheese & green beans, and we washed it all down with a bottle of wine. Delicious and not one piece was left! After dinner we we're given complimentary bubbles and got to keep the champagne glasses! All for $45 buckaroos of course tax and gratuity not included. Absolutely worth every penny and our waitress constantly check on us and carried on conversations with us. If they do this again next year, I certainly do recommend it!

Kelly S.

Yelp
Love this place. Awesome atmosphere . Super staff and service. Fantastic food. Bountiful binational().

Moquita Q.

Yelp
Steak so tender you can cut it with a spoon. I could tell it had been marinated overnight and slow roasted. I saw the cook pull it out of the oven and cut each piece. Greens were flavored with a red wine glaze. Mash potatoes seasoned with herbs and spices. For the sauce, a red wine vinaigrette....full bodied that outputs pepper and cedar flavors. I found myself dipping my potatoes in it more than the steak. The flavors of both, went well together. The tone of the venue was that of a upscale saloon. On the bottom floor, it was open, loft style with the bar on one end and piano on the other. The furniture was all wooden. Each member of the staff knew their wine and were very pleasant. Upstairs had a similar setup but without a piano and 2 soft couches. There is an outside patio area as well. Great for watching the sunsets. You can hear the piano and or band throughout the establishment so it just adds to the esthetic. Incase you were interested, Chelsea Wine Bar has a steak night every Sunday. Steak Dinner: $14 Wine flights: $15 Desserts: $6-$7 Amazing time with close friends: $$priceless$$

Yelp
Man, I love this place and was so excited to bring some out of town friends here a couple weekend ago. While the place is just as warm and inviting as ever, the bartenders were not... one of the girls was down right rude over and over, while talking smack directly in front us as we were trying to order. Massive attitude from the moment we could step up to the bar and her annoyance seemed to stem from the question "is this going to be on one check?"... literally, before we even ordered!! Mind you, we are not of the age where you split checks or worry about the check at all... The wine was delish but it's a good thing we know what we like because I can't imagine if we had to ask for suggestions... after spending many years in the bar business, I understand it's hard dealing with drunk people, but when your money depends on giving great service, if you can't do that, you may wanna reconsider the business you're in... We enjoyed our wine but decided to leave rather than eat there as we had planned ... we could only imagine the disaster that would have been coupled with the bartenders disgusted attitude . Not sure I'll return, which is super disappointing because we enjoy the atmosphere overall.

Rachel C.

Yelp
This place is the definition of a intimate vibe. We watched live music on a Saturday night and boy does it get packed. Very hard to order drinks, but overall it was a amazing dive bar. When you walk in it smells like the best pizza you have had!

Mike M.

Yelp
Fantastic place for a sundowner. Fairly extensive wine selection and craft brew selection. Grab a glass and a charcuterie board and relax on the upper deck as the sun sets

Melissa C.

Yelp
Still live CWB but it ain't cheap. Tonight we got a night cap after eating at Nobi Public House. We got 2 glasses of wine...rose' premium...total $21. My friend got 2 Riesling's (not premium) and a charcuterie board $31 We were the only single girls there...mostly men...and a few couples. (Sunday night about 830p) SUPPORT LOCAL DRINK LOCAL

Rob H.

Yelp
Chelsea's is a great spot for friends getting together, or a great date night spot. Amazing wine selections, tasty charcuterie and wonderful ambiance.

Kristin P.

Yelp
Chelsea Wine Bar is the perfect spot for a girls night, happy hour, or grab a drink after a nice dinner! They have a pretty good wine selection, a decent "snack" menu, and the views are fantastic! This is a sunset local spot for a drink ... maybe don't plan to do dinner here. This is where you want to come to get a decent charcuterie board and a moderately priced bottled of wine with some great views on the patio!

Ferd An M.

Yelp
Great wine selection, deserts, charcuterie, view. A great place to chill with friends

Sarah M.

Yelp
Cute & quaint little spot with many wine selections and fantastic pizza! Nice view of the water at night!

Michelle S.

Yelp
Great place, great drinks and dessert was to die for!! The staff was very knowledgeable which made for an amazing experience!!

Arlene Linette C.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. The second floor outdoor patio has beautiful views. Love to stop for some wine and dessert. Shepherds pie is very delicious.

Melissa Lisett S.

Yelp
I love this place! The selection of beer and wine is great! The food is yummy and I absolutely love their white sangria!

Taylor W.

Yelp
Went to a wine tasting dinner. The food was tiny but the wine was plentiful. Wanted to leave my car overnight so I could catch an Uber and arrive home safely. Keeping myself and everyone else safe. I was told my car would be towed. So you are ok with drunk driving then Chelsea wine bar? Appears that way

Nancy C.

Yelp
Do you Wine and dine the *F out of your beautiful woman? Ladies, does he? I was full from a late breakfast, so I pretend to be low maintenance and say, "just wine me, you don't even have to dine me, to sixty..." #goodgirlwithbadthoughts Chelsea's is extra special. I love Chelsea's and I've been treated to many other romantic establishments. The staff is easy going, from the bus girl/boy to the owner. The live music was exceptional. I didn't want to get out of my seat. Just sat back and enjoyed the music. Other patrons were equally sociable. The tables are very close together with still a very intimate private feel, but it's easy to start a conversation even with the music. There's floor room for a few couples to dance. They have a large selection of books, really old books. The ones I flipped through looked like my daughter could read. Maybe they came from a closed down library. Chelsea's is particularly eclectic, one of my favorite characteristics of some of my favorite places. They have outdoor patios both downstairs and upstairs with a waterfront view of Taylor Lake. The cheese board was delicious as the drinks were tasty all of them. Crossing my fingers it's not my last time here. Excellent wine bar, It's a win with an E.

Jay Z.

Yelp
Service is exceptional. Management is trash. I'm a full-time musician. I was booked multiple months in a row to perform. They get a new GM. He decided to not honor the previous GM's bookings, which is fine, but instead of telling me that my scheduled shows are canceled, the entire staff tells me that I called the bar and canceled my own shows. Oh btw, it's a 45min drive to this gig and I didn't find out that I supposedly canceled my shows until I unload all my gear to perform... a show... I canceled. It's unprofessional and just disrespectful. I could have gotten a different gig that day. The fact the entire staff were playing dumb and kept telling me that I called in to cancel my show was infuriating. Oh, nobody knew who I talked to nor knew when "I canceled my show." As a musician, I would stay away from this place. There's only 3 bartenders there worth going there for. I wish I could remember their names.

Honey J.

Yelp
Recently went to Chelseas again and enjoyed myself tremendously. I went on a Thursday and caught a cozy romantic seat upstairs on the couch. We sampled two wines recommended by the bartender and made our way upstairs with two glasses of Cabernet. After having a few sips, we ordered an Italian pretzel and it was hot and fresh. This place is a great date night option but I can also see it being a spot for ladies night. Versatile. I will be returning soon. Plenty of parking.

Esme C.

Yelp
Good drinks. It's just annoying that you have to go get your own stuff from the bar. Also happy hr is not from 4-7 Monday through Friday.

Beth s.

Yelp
Super cute place to meet up with friends. The wine selection is good and also the charcuterie. This is my Nee go to when staying in the area for work!

Caitlin W.

Yelp
Beautiful location with great wine...the attitude of a lot of the staff put a damper on my visit unfortunately. Overall, would not recommend.

Aaron T.

Yelp
I Love This Place. It is a great date spot or even just an amazing place to relax and unwind. The view on the patio is beautiful as well as the entire inside upstairs and downstairs which you can tell that this place thought of every nick and cranny from the atmosphere to the attention to detail on their menu followed by their unique high scale food options to choose from. I will be going here any chance I can no matter how old I turn.

Magen D.

Yelp
Chelsea wine bar is my favorite place to drink locally. They rotate their food menu (never had food there I didn't like). There is plenty of space to sit, including 2 outdoor patios overlooking the water. My fave drinks are the red and white sangria!

Jim G.

Yelp
Love this hidden gem in Clear Lake. Great singer / songwriter nights Fri / Sat-- although you need to get there early to get a good seat. Light food menu-- hummus is highly recommended. Wine list is good, but I wish they would bring in some new wines from time to time. Self service at the bar, but they are quick and very friendly. Good mix of crowd- some young and some not so young- but still fresh vibe in the place. Tip-- make sure you try some of the fresh sliced cake!
