Honestly these are the best salads I’ve had in a long time. I came with my friend who said the chicken in her California Salad is the best she’s ever had. Apparently they marinate it in pomegranate to give it amazing flavor and tenderness. My salmon salad’s was so refreshing with a great balance of flavor. It honestly was so satisfying. And don’t get me started on the cheesecakes. The pomegranate cheesecake is TDF. 10/10 all the way.

The chicken in the California Salad is literally the best chicken I've ever tasted in my life. Juicy, flavorful, tender. They told me they have a secret ingredient...ask them what it is! The mom is making everything (amazing recipes) and the son is at the front - so friendly and kind! We had 3 desserts - the Baklava Cheesecake, the Pomegrante San Sebastián, and the Tiramisu Brownie. All the desserts are beautifully presented and taste so good. The interior is super aesthetic. The entrance is really sunny. Lovely European vibes (or Turkish rather) 😉!

Get the baklava cheesecake! Its soo yummy and homemade by the mother. I got a peppermint mocha & gingerbread matcha which was perfect for the winter afternoon. I was surprised by how much space there is and excited to see this spot grow. The service was amazing, you can tell they care for each customer and want to make sure they’re satisfied with their order! I’ll definitely be coming back

What an incredible find! I stopped in while shopping on Fillmore St. Everything was beautiful and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the burrata peach salad, and the spinach and feta borek. Everything is so fresh and homemade tasting. The staff is friendly and delightful.

The food was so good! My peach salad was amazing. It’s nice that it’s a family business. The drinks are also very pretty. I will say though that the service was nonexistent, you had to get up from where you sat in the back of the place to get your food.

Don’t let this little cafe’s 2016 era decor fool you - the food and drink are delicious and well executed. Burrata in the prosciutto sandwich was exceptionally fresh, and the salmon benedict was topped with a lovely homemade hollandaise. Don’t skip dessert - brownie tiramisu was divine and not too sweet. Also an ideal place to get work done - ample seating, many outlets, free wifi. Profiter before the masses discover this hidden gem!

Cutely decorated cafe with lots of seating and great food selection, the family that runs it is very nice, and is in a great location for people watching. Extra points for the cozy nook and fire place! I got the hot chocolate from their holiday menu, hopefully they keep it on their permanent menu 😊

The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the staff is genuinely kind. Their cheesecake is absolutely delicious. You can really feel the passion behind everything they serve. Highly recommend!

This is such a good addition to the neighborhood! The pastries as well as a sandwiches have traditional with some unique twist! They are known for baklava cheesecake and for a good reason! It was 10/10 l, very unique very flavorful! I will be coming back specifically for that! Also got a pastel de nata and that was yummy. They were able to warm it up. Will be coming back to try more of their sandwiches. A friend got the turkey avocado and really enjoyed it! Lots of seating inside service was quick. The drinks also looked very interesting.

I think this place is maybe a 3.5/5 for food/drinks but a 5/5 for atmosphere, friendliness, and overall vibes. I stopped by here one afternoon to do some reading and it was perfect for that! There was wifi as well as a ton of seating, ranging from comfy nooks with pillows to tables with outlets. It seems to be a family run business and the woman running it mentioned that all the desserts were homemade. I tried the baklava cheesecake which was so pretty! It was pretty tasty but I didn't care for the texture of the phyllo or the rose petals. I'm being a bit picky though, and the fact that it's homemade is really impressive. I also got an iced americano which was pretty standard. A perfect cozy spot to hang out!

Visited this cafe on a Saturday morning/early afternoon. If you are looking for a place to study or read, I would recommend because it has plenty of seating. Only some tables had outlets. However, the wifi was not very strong and my friend was not able to get much work done. Overall though, the interior was really cute and I would recommend coming with friends to share a drink and chat. In terms of the drinks themselves, I would rate a 3/5 but not sure if we just ordered the wrong things. The coconut matcha tasted diluted and the matcha flavor was not very strong. Same with the Smores coffee, the coffee itself tasted very diluted and I barely tasted the flavor of the drink. The drinks were also pricey (around $9 each).

this is probably my favorite coffee shop in the Marina to work in because it has lots of light, great seating, wonderful service, and super fun drinks / small bites! I got the iced passion matcha ($8.50), which surprised me on how good the passion fruit flavor was, but it was lacking on the matcha. It almost just tasted like a passion fruit milk to me. I also got the chicken and vegetable pastry, which was heated up, and hit the spot. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Oh gosh, I wanted to gatekeep this place after stumbling upon it after a workout class that got cancelled, but it'd truly be a crime... Food: 5/5 their California salad is to die for! - Tender, well spiced chicken, perfect balance of corn and chicken to balance out greens without dressing that is too overpowering. Had to come back two days later...Hope to try peach and burrata salad next time - caprese Benedict: yummy but smaller portion size. Served on avo toast. I normally hate Benedict because it's too heavy but was convinced to try a bite and to my surprise, I did not find the sauce and yolk combo to be overpowering at all! - drinks: we ordered hot matcha latte (okay quality, on slower days there's cute latte art) and cardamom latte -pastries: I've tried the baklava cheese cake (has edible flowers on top and warning -- it's RICH so I'd recommend sharing ), apple turnover? (INSANE!!!! My favorite for sure. Must get it slightly heated! Natural flavor of the apple shows through without too much sugar and combines with the light cream and flaky yet chewy pastry underneath for a perfect bite every time), Portuguese egg tart (I'd recommend getting with jam on top. It's not too sweet which is great, definitely tastes more "Portuguese" than Chinese. crust is okay but unfortunately my standard is Bakehouse in Hong Kong now in terms of flakiness...), yuzu macaron, and pistachio macaron Ambiance: 5/5. Clearly a family owned business. Soooo sweet! On weekdays service can be a bit slower as everything is made to order but you can truly feel the love that goes into every dish, the thought behind every corner of seating in the interior. When inside the cafe I genuinely feel like I'm abroad/detached from world around me. Good for a solo date, date with partner, or small group of friends $$: medium in terms of affordability. Typical sf cafe in the marina prices.

I've only tried the matcha, so this review doesn't take into account their food or coffee! I had heard great things about the matcha, but was sadly disappointed. I ordered a seasonal gingerbread matcha latte ($8.50) and while the gingerbread flavor was good, I couldn't taste the matcha at all. I'd go to Tadaima or Komeya if you're looking for matcha in the area. The interior is nice and cozy with many tables! Seems like a family run business which is nice.

Wonderful ambiance, amazing staff, and INCREDIBLE food + drinks - I'd sell my soul to get my hands on the baklava cheesecake recipe!!

Came around 12 on a Friday and they had plenty of open seats! If there's anything to try, it's the baklava cheesecake. I cannot stop thinking about it. It's quite filling but so worth it!! The space is so clean and nice to chat with friends but also to do some work and reading. The staff is also incredibly sweet and so fun to talk to!

Amazing. But more than that - unique coffee shop with a eclectic and fresh menu. Don't come here if you want a basic scone. The bakery section has small but very good selection. And there are toasts, salads and sandwiches for something more substantial. On top of that the employees are very friendly. Enjoy.

My companion found Cheminé and wanted to take me since I like matcha. The cafe is so cute and makes for a nice spot to work. We arrived on a weekday. The cafe has good natural light, a decent amount of seating, WiFi, and a casual vibe. I saw lots of people working here. There's a good amount of indoor seating as well as some tables outside. Dogs are allowed inside! Ordering is simple: read the menu, examine the pastry display, place your order, and pay. Service was efficient! The companion got their Pumpkin Matcha, and I got a Passion Matcha with Oat Milk. They were out of soy. I chose this because I've never seen passionfruit offered with matcha. It was sweet yet tart--barely any matcha flavor, leaning more towards the milky side. The price is quite expensive, and it came to over $10 for the drink. I wasn't impressed. I did like my companion more. If you're looking for high-quality matcha, I'd probably skip this place. Cheminé is a cute cafe with food and drinks in the Marina. I'd come back to work but would order something else. Parking is street only.

the drinks we got looked way better than they tasted. we got both the tiramisu matcha latte ($9.50) and the tiramisu latte ($9) and firstly, both were too milky. I like my matcha and espresso strong in my lattes and could not taste a hint of matcha and only a hint of espresso respectively. secondly, the mascarpone was rock solid and difficult to mix into the drinks. it eventually melted but separated into little milk solids. bonus points for calm vibes for working or reading, we sat at a table right by the patio but we also saw a rat scurrying outside on the patio

Came here with some of my colleagues for a quick catch up and coffee pick me up. A friend recommended the cafe for its desserts, and it didn't dissapoint. The cafe was clean and had a very relaxing vibe, especially in the back. The staff were friendly and attentive as soon as we walked in. Never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. The coffee wasn't bad either and it is better than your average cafe. My favorite treat so far is the Baklava cheesecake, and I definitely would get this everytime I come visit. They also serve savory options like sandwiches, toasts, and salads.

I've been saying that they need more larger cafe and coffee shops in this area and voila! Very friendly staff and definitely has more of a home-y feeling than anything commercial. Toast was really good and can't wait to try their lunch sometime in the future! Strawberry matcha good as well but think they specialize in coffee.

A new, and very much welcomed, gem of a cafe in the Marina! A fantastic spot to get some work done or catch up with a friend. Cheminé has a fun variety of a menu, including coffee and teas, smoothies, sandwiches, and Mediterranean treats, such as baklava cheesecake. They seem to have a lot of thoughtfully sourced ingredients. I had a delicious iced matcha latte. Next time I'd ask for a little less milk, but it was enjoyable. The owner was so kind, personable, and had contagious excitement about his work. You can tell it is a down to earth family owned place. There is ample seating and outlets, which is hard to find these days. They also have a patio for outdoor seating. I will definitely be back to get some work done here, or perhaps catch their upcoming wine nights!

Chemine is one of those spots that instantly feels personal. It's family-owned, and you can taste the care in everything they serve. My wife and I came in for dessert and went with the baklava cheesecake and a tiramisu latte. The cheesecake is hand-made by the mom, and it's so delicious and unique. Rich and creamy with that nutty, honeyed baklava layer adding crunch and depth. Brought half of it home and it might've tasted even better the next day! The tiramisu latte was just as unique of a sweet treat, with a huge dollop of mascarpone on top. Beyond the food, the owners are genuinely kind and welcoming. They take time to chat, share a little about what they're making, and make you feel welcome in a way you don't get everywhere in SF. I'll be coming back for another tiramisu latte soon!

This place is my favorite cafe nearby! It is so cozy and has a lot of seating with outlets everywhere. Great cafe to chat, work from or cozy up and read a book. They have a ton of yummy drinks and food. With a lot of the desserts being homemade. This is a family owned cafe, and you can tell they pour their heart into their service. Always welcoming and happy. There is seating indoor and outdoor. I wish they had some more light bites or items on their menu that could be priced cheaper like maybe plain bagels? Their food is great but most toasts/lunch items are starting at $13+ so it can add up quickly if you're here for a bite, drink and a treat. But overall, great place and will continue to come back time and time again!

Matcha latte (hot): 2/5 It was ok but probably wouldn't get it again. It was super bitter and had an unexpected floral aftertaste. Tiramisu matcha latte (iced): 2/5 Again, would not get again. The cream from the "tiramisu" has too strong of a presence aka heavy cream/buttery taste, which isn't too pleasant. There were literal bits of butter showing up in the drink.. Ambiance: suuper cozy, lots and lots of seating, free wifi. There's spots for intimate chats and studying alone or with friends! Service: Relatively fast. Overall: Would definitely return to try another non-matcha drink.

Backstory: We came across this on a reel and wanted to try this place out. Therefore we ordered on uber eats due to being near by but toddler wasn't awake. Review: we ordered 5 drinks Tiramisu matcha latte- ordered iced but came hot. Okay that's fine I'll try it hot but as we drank it, it was literally just watery with no flavor profile and had this oil like feel in my mouth as an aftertaste. Not creamy as stated and did not taste tiramisu at all. It came with a hard rock lady finger. Matcha espresso fusion- BURNT. I just am baffled at what we tasted. It was so awful that I seriously passed this drink around to make sure it wasn't just my taste buds today. Everyone absolutely disliked this the most out of all the drinks. Limonade- it was water with squirts of lemon juice. I don't know it had less lemons than lemon water. Peach iced tea- a cup of water and think about peaches getting punched so you can get the fibers or little tiny pieces of peaches grounded up tossed into your drink for a flavor profile. Shake it in a cup and there's your drink. Mango magic- same example of the peach but replace with mango. I was so excited to try Chemine for the first time and was disappointed with how it tasted. All 5 drinks were not it and I really hope it was an off day as I'm seeing reviews from others saying the presentation was nicer than the taste. BUT for it to be around $10 a drink, I did have high expectations and it definitely was upsetting with how it turned out because my family and I really wanted to enjoy it but all drinks were inedible..

First time here and I ordered the passion matcha latte. It was pretty sweet, and the matcha and passion fruit didn't pair well. The matcha quality also wasn't great. The drink was more than $10, which felt pricey for what it was. We didn't try the food, but it was also expensive. The inside is very cute with lots of seating, making it a nice place to sit and work. If I go back, I'd try their coffee.

The baklava cheesecake at Chemine is everything I could want, with its perfectly balanced sweetness with that signature flaky crunch. Paired with their smooth oat milk latte -- very affordable especially for Fillmore -- it was perfect. Staff were patient and made good recommendations. I love this cozy little spot

Took a short walk up the street from my hotel to this adorable café that is relatively new to the neighborhood. I learned that their name Cheminé means fireplace and they have one here! My first impression was positive as their gorgeous bright atmosphere and cozy indoor and outdoor seating options makes you want to sit down and relax. Came for the coffee, stayed for the vibes. I ordered their signature Tiramisu Iced coffee that comes with a delicious Ladyfinger for dipping. Ordered a traditional Turkish expresso, black of course, for my brother and two savory pastries . One had bacon and Parmesan and the other chicken and veggies. Both were quite good and the owner warmed them up for me . I was going to take everything to-go but enjoyed my conversation with the barista and owner (from Turkey) so much that I stayed, enjoyed my breakfast and wrote this review. They have a lovely outdoor garden space that will be opening soon! 10/10 recommend.

Was trying to look for a cafe that was open past normal cafe hours to finish up some documentation after work and Cheminé was the place! They close at 7 pm. A super cute, spacious spot to get some work done, and grab an afternoon pick me up. They had some great hot tea options. I got their mint & lavender tea and it was served in the cutest glass tea pot. Got like 4 servings out of it! Seems like a family owned business, the wife who took my order was very kind! They also served some desserts, sandwiches, and other goods. Next time I really want to try their Baklava Cheesecake! It looked to die for. Will definitely be coming back!

Such a cute spot! I brought my book to finish and there were some other people studying/working and eating lunch when I came in. The matcha latte was delicious and everything came out pretty quickly. I can't wait to come back.

I was looking for a place to grab coffee with a friend on a Saturday morning and found this spot! It's right on Fillmore and they have a ton of seating which can be hard to find in a cafe. They have a variety of drinks and pastries. I got the iced cardamom latte and it was just okay. It was kind of grainy and did not have too much flavor. It did come in a cute cup though. My friend had a latte which she said was just okay but the pastry she got (I think peach something?) was very good! Overall a cute spot to grab a seat and a pastry!

It's my first time here and the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at home. From the decor, the warmth from the husband and wife owners, the food and coffee, Just wonderful! I'm grateful to have this amazing place to come to, to enjoy my time and do some work.

Owner is a total d*****bag. I asked for hot water. I bought espresso and milk. Wasn't asking for a handout! I stayed for a short time, maybe 1 or two hours. Was not taking up any space that could have been used for customers who would be spending more. The owner was a huge jerk about me asking for hot water because I had my own tea bag in it. Its very expensive tea, not something you can buy at any coffee or tea shop nearby. Special order, costs over 200$ for a small amount. Told him he will never get my business again, and I suggest not interacting with this guy. Another time, I waited 5 minutes at the counter (There was no line of people ordering) because one of the guys was on his phone, and he had no idea I was standing there (He wasn't paying attention!) The lady is very nice though.

This might be a bit harsh but I paid $10.50 for the worst iced matcha latte I have ever had. You would think a place that has matcha variations on the menu (mango, tiramisu, etc) would make a quality matcha. I saw the barista just scraping out the dregs of matcha powder from an empty jar. If you're not going to make a good one then don't serve it, and certainly don't put it at the same price point as nearby shops like Tadaima. I understand not specializing in matcha but it seemed no one had really considered what a quality iced matcha should look like. They also don't have any low fat milk, only whole milk and then non dairy substitutions that are $1 more. Would give it less stars for the bad drink but the ambience was great and their pastries look really nice. They have a ton of seating/ work cafe space which is rare in the area. If I came back I would probably get a hot tea -- but those were also priced very highly, about at the same price point as the matcha. My boyfriend liked his latte!

For once in my life I'm at a loss for words. I fell in love with this cafe the second I stepped inside. The decor is beautiful and welcoming, the menu is exciting, and the staff/ owners are extremely kind and welcoming. I ordered an iced latte and it was served in a cute glass with a glass straw. Of course, the coffee itself was excellent, but the experience was made even better by the aesthetically pleasing glassware. I also ordered the fig & ricotta roast and it was divine. My friend and I worked here for a few hours and we both agree that we will be coming back again. 10/10 recommend!!

Not great-- 1- Super overpriced for a mid-sandwich 2- It wasn't even that crowded and it look almost 15 min for it to come out 3- The menu said it came with a salad and it did not Would not go back

We loved this place! We were looking for a place to get coffee and pastries while walking around Union Street. It's sunny and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The tables are nicely spread out. There's seating for people who need to work. I had a homemade baklava and a mini apple pie and both were delicious. My latte was excellent. We''ll definitely be back when we're hungrier, because they have sandwiches, smoothies, and protein shakes too. Can't wait to go back and have lunch soon!

The coffee here is really good, and the salmon toast with salad was super fresh and tasty. The staff is very attentive and makes sure you have everything you need. Such a nice spot overall!

Mouth watering pastries , this spiroch and feta will make you come back for more, , the friendly owners will make you feel at home , absolutely exceeds my expectations , and the ambiance of this place is so wam and chill , highly recommended.

Very cute cafe! Open 8AM - 7PM is a huge plus. My sister and I ate brunch here and the food was delicious. Freshly made to order, bacon benedict and smoked salmon bagel. They also sell a variety of coffees, teas, and smoothies both w and without protein. Service was spot on! Loved chatting with the business owner who happily suggested plates to try and accommodated our modifications. Mom and pop cooking (and baking!) in the back. A one of a kind spot. I'll be back for sure (particularly to try to baklava cheesecake)

The food was delicious and flavorful. They are super friendly. Definitely a family friendly place and I highly recommend it. It is cozy with a fireplace that is always turned on. Very clean and spacious. The Turkish coffee was strong which is good. I would definitely return!

It is a light and welcoming space in an incredible location on Fillmore near Union.. the best coffee/almond milk /honey/ protein supplement smoothie, Perfect espresso, and the best carrot in the world! ( according to my husband who I cited with it today) I'm obsessed with this place and the Turkish/greek deliciousness and warm service!

Service was fine. Tea was super over priced. Sat in the seats near the windows and the chairs were dirty. Walls were also dirty. If my tea will cost $9, then I should feel like I'm in a clean and luxury cafe. Will not be returning. The only good thing about this place is that they have internet and outlets if you need a place to do some work.

I've walked by this place several times and finally decided to visit. I ordered the Cardamom Latte and unfortunately it was very bland, had no taste whatsoever. It is a great place to work, as they have several sitting areas.
