Google
This is one of my favorite on the go lunch spots in Chicago! I absolutely love their tacos, paninis, and mango smoothie. My order is almost always a mango smoothie and veggie panini with Munster cheese. Delicious! Cafe has a mom/poo shop feel. The owner is so kind and sells tacos at the Logan Square Farmers Market on Sunday. I definitely recommend!!!

Scott Chauncey

Google
Hidden gem with amazing smoothies and delicious corn tortilla tacos! We came here because we were in the area and the ambience was amazing. The prices were also exceptional. Highly recommended!

Sydni Partee

Google
My friends and I walked in for the first time today and the atmosphere was so cozy and warm. I ordered tacos and the homemade tea and both were AMAZING! The smoothies are also very fresh. Elvia is the heart and soul of this cafe. Definitely a hidden treasure! 100/10 would recommend

Google
Found this place on Google when I was looking for a lunch spott, and it was SOOO GOOD!!! Went with my family and got a milkshake, some tacos, and steak nachos! Everything was soo good and the items were reasonably priced. Service was excellent as well! 💕💕

Google

Google
It was our first time coming here and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it for anyone locally on to go to pick up a tuna Sandwich. The smoothies were just as good and I'm looking forward to the next trip.

Google
This is my kind of place, comfortable seating, delicious shakes, welcoming staff 💖 absolutely love it! If you a like two of your friends need a break from like the heat, or bring bored at home, there's tables here that a great for playing cards or a boardgame

Google
This is one of the coziest, comfiest cafes that has the best tacos and mocha I’ve ever tasted and somehow also very affordable!? The owner is really friendly and kind too. If you haven’t checked it out before Cherub’s is a MUST GO

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Sweet counter lady that explains the menu without trying to sell u. Amazingly inexpensive offerings on the limited menu. My sis and I had the pastrami panini with Swiss. Soooo good!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic food, the tuna panini was delicious and fresh. Very cozy atmosphere with couches and tables to choose from. Also loved the horchata and the peanut butter milkshake. Super friendly staff and the food was quick.

Yelp
This place always lifts my spirit. It's cozy and down to earth and has wonderful service from the sweetest staff. The food is also great, exactly what you want from a steak taco. Lime on the side and salsa verde. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is very much an ol'reliable food is good for the price. The owner of Cherubs is very nice and friendly. Has a ton of sitting area but there is usually never anyone inside sadly. Interior is kinda outdated but definitely adds character to the establishment

Yelp
I wish I had visited Cherubs sooner. Such a cute spot with Cherubs statues and full size couches and chairs for seating. I've only darkened their doorway twice, and each time I ordered 2 veggie and 1 steak taco. It only takes a few minutes, and they come out on a nice plate each with their own slice of lime. If you're like me and enjoy lime, it's best if each taco has their own. Two cups of salsa verse are served on the side. Very tasty and just spicy enough. The lady behind the counter is very sweet. I may trash her name since it's been a few weeks since I've been there, but I believe her name is Elvie. Please visit this sweet little cafe so that I can visit once again.

Yelp
Super friendly and really a hidden gem. I feel like not a lot of people know about this place & I kind of like it that way where it's Lowkey & relax. My go to place for shakes. This is the best place to go for post workout meal lunch. Best value for amazing food.

Yelp
Phenomenal!! I came here to get lunch to go on a whim, and I was so pleasantly surprised. The turkey panini was DELICIOUS and you get so much for your money! I was obsessed and I want to try the smoothie next time. The woman working was so sweet and friendly too!
google avatar

Yelp
We found this spot on a whim and they had all kinds of food and milkshakes. I think one of the coolest things about this spot is that there was sectional couches that surrounded the entire restaurant. I got three veggie tacos and a Milkshake that was coconut and chocolate and it was so good. My partner got a milkshake that was the monkey shake and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this as a chill spot to eat really good tacos and enjoy a nice milkshake.

Yelp
This place is definitely a hidden gem on Fullerton - cute little spot to come and have some lunch when COVID is a thing of the past. The food was very fresh and tasted great! The cherub salad was simple but also the dressing made it amazing. Everything is very reasonably priced as well , making this place even more worth it. The women behind the counter was also a sweetheart. Now is definitely time to support local businesses !

Isaac A.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients and by far one of the best smoothies I've had in a long while and the consistency is perfect
google avatar

Yelp
Love coming here. Elbia is personable and knows how to make her customers happy. I love the food and try to come here once a week. Chicken salad sandwich is my favorite but also love pastrami and the shakes. Everything is so fresh and made to order. You can also find cherubs' food stall at the Logan square farmers market during the warmer months
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
Such a quaint neighborhood place! Cute cafe with a bunch of assorted seating (couch, bench, and your typical table). The place is counter service. I had the "steak" tacos with cilantro and onions. The reason steak is in quotations is because the tacos were really ground beef tacos. The tacos were good, but just wished they would have advertised it as "ground beef" instead.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came in today on March 3rd 2022 it's currently 5:31pm I got the pastrami sandwich and the girlfriend got a turkey sandwich. Both super super good!!! If your in the area please stop by and give the food a try! I also got 2 steak tacos and they are so damn good and cheap too!!!! Definitely will come back! The woman that works here is so nice. She definitely needs more business!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Joseph G.

Yelp
I ordered the Chicken Burrito with three tiny pieces of chicken, it was 95 % beans, three other ingredients, and 1% chicken, not to mention the tortilla wasn't even warmed; it was the worst by rrito I have ever had; I did get a full refund tho.

Keenan D.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to eat in Chicago. All a restaurant needs to be is a place to sit, have a tasty meal, and enjoy sunlight. It's perfect to hangout at in the afternoon, and the owner has awesome music taste. I know when I come here I can relax, and remember there's more to life than cubicles.
google avatar

Jordan R.

Yelp
Nice place. Smoothies and food are good. The owner is a lovely lady. Definitely check it out if you want to stop for a quick bite - oh yeah, fast service, too!

Mic A.

Yelp
Oh hell ya. Stopped in for the first time today on a whim and it's so cute inside. Got a medium turkey sandwich w everything and it's tasty plus filling. Definitely not just your average sandwich. Comes on buttery toasted sub bread. Got the small vampire smoothie too and it's delicious and a great portion. The woman working was by herself and super friendly and quick. Will be back!

Yelp
Wow! This place is absolutely amazing!! This is the type of restaurant you want to support. Hubby and I ordered Grubhub and found this place and couldn't have been more happy. This place hands down has the best chicken salad sandwich in Chicago. I've never had bread like this before - it was seriously perfection. My husband ordered 4 steak tacos and said they were some of the best he's had. And their smoothies?!? OMG! Best smoothies I've ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the berry smoothie. Their prices are some of the best in the city. Given the circumstances happening in the world right now, I can't encourage people enough to support this business. Wish I could give it 10 stars!
google avatar

Pat M.

Yelp
Such great food at an affordable price. Their tacos are a staple at the LoganSquare Farmers market, but their shakes you get at the restaurant are delicious and healthy. Very comfortable lounging area with couches. We love the owner.

Yelp
I found this place after work when spontaneously I decided to search for coffee shops near me on google. The first coffee shop on the list was already closed and then this place was second on list and saw that they close at 8pm. I scrolled across their photos and saw good looking drinks from milkshakes to smoothies! Their sandwiches and paninis also looked delicious. I then decided to invite my cousin along and we headed here and ordered pastrami paninis. My cousin orders the Frappe de cafe and I ordered the oatmeal milkshake; they were as delicious as they looked on photos. Absolutely delicious and great portion! Later on I invited my friends to try the delicious paninis and drinks as well; I absolutely recommend this place. Has relaxing music, delicious food and drinks, and super friendly service !

Yelp
I usually never write reviews but since I have more free time with the quarantine, I figured I'd try to leave a helpful review. I was looking for a place to order a fruit smoothie to help tame the hangover beast and I wasn't disappointed. I tried a little of everything - strawberry smoothie, chicken salad sandwich, tuna salad sandwich, steak taco and chicken taco. I took a bite of everything and here's the verdict: strawberry smoothie was perfect; chicken salad was flavorful, more so than the tuna salad; steak taco was more like ground beef (like a prior reviewer said) but I still liked it - lots of meat and cilantro and cheese; chicken taco was good and made me feel almost healthy because of the veggies. The tacos needed some salsa (which came with them) but otherwise, great. Best part of the meal was the price. Everything was extremely reasonably priced, which is why I didn't feel guilty ordering basically 4 entire meals.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
I love this place! The owner is so sweet and makes such bomb food! The only thing she's missing is a liquor license lol a marg here or beer would be fantastic! The tacos and burritos you can't go wrong with but I also love their panini! Such a great small business to support!
google avatar

Audrey S.

Yelp
Best steak tacos in Chicago, and I eat a LOT of tacos. It's impossible to walk past and not stop in. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cherubs and the owner. She is the most welcoming woman and always remembers me when I come in. If you live in Bucktown/Logan Square and have not tried Cherubs, you are truly missing out.
google avatar

Dylan M.

Yelp
Omg you guys!! I was starving for lunch. Found this place & decided to give it a try. The woman was working by herself so it took about 8 minutes. The sandwich cane with chips for $6.50. Hell of a price. Then I bit into my roast beef & Swiss panini on white bread. Mayo only. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my whole life. Incredible!! The flavor was just lovely. Go grab one today!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is outstanding! I'm so disappointed that we are moving in a month and just discovered it after 5 years in the neighborhood. It's one of those places that's worth coming back for though. Great staff, great food and the shakes (peanut butter!) and smoothies are insane. I'll be back often.
google avatar

Elio B.

Yelp
Well I had my son 1st birthday there for about 50 people food as good horchata was amazing and the extra were very unexpected and great The only reason it not 5 star lack of parking it was a weekend so nothing to do with cherubs
google avatar

Becca S.

Yelp
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! Did I say amazing?... The prices are fantastic and the food is even better. Wish I could have gotten better pics but my husband did not want to wait one more second before diving in! Their chicken tacos are so good and the bell peppers are a fun touch. Also had the nachos (not pictured cause we literally inhaled them). You cannot go wrong. Order for lunch or dinner, better yet order for lunch AND dinner. You won't be sorry!

Riley O.

Yelp
i love cherubs!!!! best bucktown cafe and an underrated pleasure. the owner is so sweet, you must try her frappe de cafe!!!
google avatar

Sandra L.

Yelp
Love the shakes. Chocolate monkey is my favorite! Wish the food had more spice to it but its decent.
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
I loveeeeeee this place! I come here all the time for lunch. I always order the same thing which is a medium cherub salad and a chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread. It is under ten dollars and so delicious! I love their chicken salad so much! I haven't tried any of the tacos or shakes but they look yummy. The inside of this place feels and looks like you're in your grandma's basement, which is fine by me!
google avatar

Jelena Z.

Yelp
Okay, so Cherubs is cozy, quaint and really... unique. But, it also smells like 'grandma's attic', which I muttered under my breath to my ice cream-aficionado companion. Actually-- and this sounds terrible-- I hoped that he would change his mind once he saw the rather limited array of ice cream flavors but we stayed. And the smell dissipated. Or rather, I acclimated. And I'm glad that happened, because visiting Cherubs is truly an experience. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice it actually LOOKS like grandma's attic, too. Strange furnishings. Old sofas. Random knickknacks strewn about. Is it a fountain, a tower? No matter, there's no rhyme or reason to this stroll down hodgepodgery lane. But it's interesting, I'll give it that. The owner (at least I think she was the owner) was very kind and accommodating, waiting patiently as we dawdled over the menu. They make shakes, smoothies, and sandwiches in addition to scooping ice cream. I went with one scoop of vanilla topped with strawberries and whipped cream. The ice cream hit the spot-- nice and smooth but take note: the whipped cream comes from a can. I think my friend hit a few ice chunk speed bumps in his hills of his butter pecan, but otherwise seemed content with his choice. Cherubs offers free wi-fi and I imagine it's a great place to get a ton of work done or laze with your favorite book. You've got to see it to believe it!

Charlie J.

Yelp
This little shop serves the best sandwiches and smoothies!! The best part about it is the price. Very well priced and the quality is amazing :)!! Try the Peanut Butter smoothie yummmm!!!
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Best milkshake I've ever had! I had the banana chocolate one. Owner is so sweet and lovely. Very clean
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Great burritos, sandwiches and shakes! Delish. Service is wonderful as well. Good spot for kids. The owner makes all of the food.

Patrick K.

Yelp
Steak burrito is excellent. Fresh and huge. Green salsa is awesome. I either call in or text my order and ready in about 10 min...so you know it's not just sitting there at the back of the grill

Michael M.

Yelp
Ordered the carne asada tacos--delicious!! Super tasty tacos and had a smoothie which was also very good. Will definitely be back to try more of their food!
google avatar

Angela N.

Yelp
This is the CUTEST and most comfortable spot I have visited in a long time. The food is outstanding and Elvia is a wonderful hostess! Visit Cherubs soon!

Yelp
I feel all reviews should start out a 5 star then we add and subtract stars as we go. The decor in this place is a little strange, but not that out of the ordinary. What was out of the ordinary was the smoke detector that kept beeping the whole time we waited for our food. Which brings me to the next lost star which was the wait which had to be at least 20 minutes for a sandwich and a cup of soup. I can understand since there was only one lady working behind the counter, but come on how long can it take to make a ham and cheese sandwich and pour a cup-of-soup. The ham and cheese panini and Cherub soup was quite tasty, and for the money there are definitely not many places in the city where you get a better bang for the buck. I will probably try this place again, but not until the battery is replaced on that damn smoke-detector. They do serve ice cream and smoothies but I was not in the mood for anything cold when its 50 degrees outside and its only October.

Katie S.

Yelp
Owner is very friendly and super sweet! Small restaurant quiet enough to work, read or study. The Food is delicious:)

Ashlee V.

Yelp
Oh my gosh I just love this place! The tacos are absolutely delicious and only $2 a piece. And their milkshakes - just wow. Their salads and sandwiches are good too. The ambience is quirky. It feels like you are eating in someone's living room. But the place is cozy, the owner is so sweet, they take credit cards and they have free WiFi. Hidden gem!
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
Been meaning to stop at this place every time I walk by it it looks really enticing. I finally went there with a friend and I was super impressed. the inside looks like a café and the lady behind the counter seemed to be making everything from scratch. She had soooo much hospitality as well! I ordered the tuna and my friend ordered the turkey. Probably hands-down the best tuna sandwich I've ever had paired with a really good Oreo milkshake it was amazing!!!! We were the only ones dining so the inside was quiet with soft french* music & the decor was something like an old café ...somewhere you could study at or just hang out with friends. WILL BE BACK ASAP

Imelda L.

Yelp
Cherubs is my favorite spot in Logan Square and my top 5 favorite places in Chicago. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it about 3 years ago and we go every time we have a milkshake craving. The cherubs decor is so cute and the inside is very cozy and full of vintage furniture. It's a no frills place--you don't go there for the aesthetics, but for the amazing food and awesome service! The tacos are the best around and the milkshakes are always made with love. I really like the sandwiches and paninis too! Always hearty portions and everything is priced so well. This is a gem for how overpriced and underwhelming the restaurants in the neighborhood are. I hope it doesn't get bought out by urban developers!
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
This place has the best chicken salad sandwich in Chicago. Do yourself a favor and try it. Thank me later.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Super great food! The owner also could not be nicer. I love this place! The chicken salad sandwich is awesome and the steak burrito is incredible. I'll definitely be going back here again and again! Super great prices, too. Definitely give this place a try!
google avatar

Colin M.

Yelp
Wonderful smoothies and one of the best cheese and veggie sandwiches in the city and the lady who owns it is so nice.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Love coming back to the places that have meant so much to my fiancée and I in our relationship. The owner Elvia is the sweetest woman who always remembers us when we come in even when it has been a long time. She makes great smoothies and sandwiches along other items, but those are what we always love to order. Elvia and Cherubs is also great for hosting a meet up event since there is a lot of space and some comfy couches! This is definitely a neighborhood spot everyone should check out :-)
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
Upon walking in here, the first thing that struck me is that it looks EXACTLY like a hash bar you'd see in the Netherlands. I mean dead-on, from the ambiance to the setup and decor. Obviously it's not, but what it is is a nice little coffee/ice cream/sandwich place that certainly has a little bit of european flavor to it. Odd, since I think it's owned by a Mexican family, but what the heck they sure nailed it. I didn't like this place much at first, but I think that's because it was new and still working the bugs out, plus they don't have booze which always sets up a mental block for me. I have warmed up to it as time's moved on. It's got a small, reasonably priced menu. They make a helluva smoothie, and good filling paninis as well. It's very comfy, a place that is somewhere I could see hanging out and working on the laptop for long periods. Much more home-y than a Starbucks. I think this place, if it survives the changing area, will end up being one of those 'hotspots' for people to come study, chat over coffee, and write pretentious poetry. The only thing that sorta bugs me about it is the bathroom being right in the middle of the place almost across from the counter, that's sorta gross.
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
I try try try not to be catty on the internet, but let's just say I would have added a 6th star for the simple fact that if you go here, you are guaranteed to never run into someone who wouldn't like it. Listen sweethearts, if you want good lighting, pottery barn decor and a paint color complementary to your urban outfitter wardrobe, I suggest you go to Panera. Perhaps back in the suburbs. if you came to Chicago not expecting a sterile, product tested mass marketed load of bullshit, I suggest you spend some time at Cherubs.
google avatar

Yelp
i live in West Logan Square and i have had lunch here a number of times. So today when i was doing laundry near by I decided to grab lunch. That's when it hit me...this place has really good food and at a great price. For what i would have spent to go to one of the chains such as potbelly's I got a cup of soup ( just so-so but hot and filling) , full size turkey and Swiss grilled, canned soda and chips. And the quality was great. I agree with other reviewers that the decor is odd but hey potbelly's faux vintage leavesa lot to be desired and that doesn't stop people from flocking there. So if you live in the area or find yourself there..stop in and give them a try.You will be plesantly surprised. And I almost forget...to the adult woman who was sitting in Cherubs at the same time I was..eating food from somewhere else ...with your pre-teen child...using their outlets for your laptop and I assume their wi-fi. Shame on You!!!
