The Best Restaurants In Montmartre - Paris - The Infatuation

"Chez Eugène is in Montmartre’s most touristy real estate, overlooking Place du Tertre, where street artists sketch quick caricatures of passersby. We brave it for the bistro's impressive wine list and to sit on the covered outdoor terrace to watch Montmartre be Montmartre (their dining room is a bit dreary). Since their more innovative dishes are a bit uneven, like a bizarre play on vitello tonnato or vegan risotto sans rice, hone in on their tried and true classics, like French onion soup, egg-mayo twisted with a grape must mustard, and behemoth steak frites. And if you’re not ordering wine, you’re in the wrong place. The list leans natural, hews heavily to the northern Rhône, and changes weekly to introduce gems at all price points." - emily monaco

Chez Eugène - Review - Montmartre - Paris - The Infatuation

"Chez Eugène shouldn’t be anything to write home about. It’s in Montmartre’s most touristy real estate, overlooking Place du Tertre, where street artists sketch quick caricatures of passersby. We brave through it for their slight twists on brasserie food and impressive wine list. Classics like French onion soup and a behemoth steak frites are present and accounted for, as is le cheeseburger, a now omnipresent offering at bistros city-wide. Hone in on their more innovative dishes, like an egg-mayo seasoned with grape must, and if you’re not ordering wine, you’re in the wrong place. The list leans natural, hews heavily to the northern Rhône, and changes weekly to introduce gems at all price points. Since the dining room is a little dreary, sit on the covered outdoor terrace instead and watch Montmartre be Montmartre." - Emily Monaco

Google
We had a fantastic lunch at Chez Eugène on a busy Saturday, right in the middle of the most touristy square—and it was such a pleasant surprise! I honestly didn’t expect to find quality food in such a location, but Chez Eugène proved me wrong. The French cuisine was delicious, the oysters were fresh, and the service was impeccable. The staff helped us choose the perfect wine based on my preferences, and it ended up becoming one of my favorites. Highly recommended!

Google
Wow! We were absolutely tired and wanted some typical French food and were blasted away! The food was one of the best during our trip, the waiters were amazing, charismatic and funny and the prices were absolutely reasonable. I will definitely come back, once I visit Paris again.

Google
Spot in Montmartre with very friendly service. Our waiter was very nice and encouraged our French practice. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The food wasn’t the strong suit but it’s centrally located and has a nice ambiance. The beef bourguignon was rather sour but the pork loin was better. Credit cards are accepted and they do give complimentary bread.

Google
in the middle of one of the most tourist-y places on earth you can find this lovely restaurant which serves really great staple French dishes for a reasonable price. they have specials each day that are worth checking out. our servers were charismatic and great at their job! the vegetable soup was simple yet effective, a strong flavour and well-salted, it felt hearty and healthy at the same time. the croutons were very tasty and crunchy :) warming! the pig ears were crispy and full of garlic, from my Lithuanian perspective it was a unique way of cooking them, and i really enjoyed it. the veal was soft and tender and the mashed potatoes were wonderfully smooth and filling!

Google
One of the best French places i’ve been in Montmarte! Great views, great vibes, great wines, great food and friendly staff! Can’t recommend this enough! Reservation recommnended and can be done online!

Google
The he food was just ok. The snails were fine, the cordon bleu special was a good portion, but fell flat on taste. The veal was tough and chewy, the ham was good though. I think this place is overpriced, but is in a tourist area, so I’m hardly shocked. We would not return here to eat.

Google
Very busy and bustling square close to Sacré Cœur, has this great restaurant. We had the formula French breakfast and was not disappointed. George was our bird whistling, waiter and was great. Great place to watch 100’s pass by. We watched several artists paint and draw as we had 2nd breakfast. Great atmosphere and location.

Google
We spent 5 days dining in Montmartre. We had dinner at Chez Eugene 4 nights. The Onion soup is the best we had in the city. The same staff is amazing! Give the soup a try. The rest of the menu is amazing as well!! The stairs up to dinner were well worth it. Climb up for dinner then down to sleep

Yelp
We stopped by here randomly while exploring Montmarte. I wasn't a big fan of the wine I ordered but I prob just ordered the wrong kind. The bread basket was addicting and the stone bass I ordered was super fresh and seasoned well.

Yelp
I had several wonderful meals here while staying in Montmartre. People watching along the place du tertre with local artists was perfect. The plat du jour was the standout for me - foie de veau with pomme purée. The sauce was rich, complex, and subtly sweet. All the staff were so friendly and kind as well! I'll be back.

Yelp
For a restaurant in such a touristy area I was surprised by the excellent service. The food was good but nothing out of this world. The onion soup and the escargot were solid as was the filet of beef and fries. The duck was tasty cooked to order but unfortunately a little dry. The standouts here were the location which came with a cozy second floor table for two by a window and the excellent service. A great stop for lunch on a day of touring Montmartre and Sacre Couer.
google avatar

Yelp
Touristy place with average food but nice vibe of Montmartre. We stopped by Chez Eugene for a dinner in August 2023 after exploring Montmartre. It was clear it was purely touristic place, but it was in the heart of Montmartre artists and galleries area. The menu had some classic French items and we went for it. The food turned out to be average but good enough and we enjoyed the vibe of the crowds around us. Overall, the restaurant is ok to eat in the center of Montmartre but food and service expectations need to need to stay modest Food ordered Onion Soup Eugene Burger Beef Tartare Dame Blanche

Yelp
I could not believe how absolutely delicious and pleasant our experience was here. We had delicious food and wine and our service was remarkable. We had escargot, duck, filet, French onion soup and some of the recommended appetizers. Our waiter was an absolute doll. Such a great experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome food!! Loved it. And the service was phenomenal. We recommend it to anyone who is willing to try great food. They even have hamburgers and French fries but why would you come to France and eat the same food you can eat in the US?
google avatar

Salvador P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for a coffee and dessert, as many of my fellow contributors have mentioned this place is right in the middle of an art area so it is buzzing with energy. Our waiter was great!

Yelp
It is indeed a touristy restaurant in a touristy part of Montmartre, but it's a nice spot to get a bite to eat and a beer. Our server was pleasant and helpful with our almost total inability to speak French. It's certainly a great place if you like to people watch. The food was good, special shout out to the French Onion Soup. I'd say give them a shot if you're in Montmartre.

Mark R.

Yelp
Great meal and ambiance. We would highly recommend this restaurant. It's right in the middle of the personal art district behind the Sacrè-Couer. Treat yourselves to a wonderful experience and see the many personal artist. 5 's

Yelp
Certainly a touristy restaurant set in the artist's square of the Montmarte neighborhood, Chez Eugene offers a lot of the French fare that we all think is in French food culture but probably was abandoned long ago. Do I care? No, because what they served was delicious and I was there more for the quaint experience rather than fitting in with locals which I already have come to the realization that I will never fit in to French culture. I had a Croque Monsieur which was rich in flavor, drowning in cheese, and filling! It was delightful! There was a guy there (not sure of his role at the restaurant) who was happy to pair our foods with good wines and they completely did fit our dinners. My wife had the andouille sausage special and she raved about taste of the sausage as I raved about my open faced sandwich. Our server wasn't very friendly or helpful and it was funny seeing him take a smoke break 20 feet from the restaurant, but whatever. Coming here as a tourist and having that experience is certainly what the moment was about and Chez Eugene provided that for us. I wouldn't return on a subsequent visit to Paris just because there is so much good food to explore in this city!

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by Paul, the artist who drew a nice portrait of my daughter. Our five family members had a good experience here. Three of us ordered complete meals--two steaks with fries and one boeuf bourguignon), one ordered an omelet and the other lasagne. We also ordered two bowls of gratine (French onion soup). The salad was hearty--hard-boiled eggs, shredded carrots, etc. with lettuce and tangy dressing (maybe had horseradish). The roquefort creme appetizers were delicious but the steaks were tough. We had chocolate mousse and sorbets for dinner. They were delicious. The waiters were okay. We had to ask for water refills and were charged over seven euros for tap water (?!).

Yelp
I'm going to have to mark this down as rather ordinary, particularly since we have some rude waiters. Okay, somebody might suggest that this is France, and in particular Paris, so we should expect the waiters to be rude, but to be honest I don't believe that that is the case. Rather, it is just this particular place that I didn't really life, and found that the waiter here was somewhat worse than many of the others I encountered. This is a shame because it is in such a nice location, and the coffee is half decent as well. However, it certainly isn't a place that I will be spending all that much mor etime at, or returning to in a hurry.

Yelp
I am basing this review solely on the waiter. I brought my son here to show him Montemartre. We sat outside to be able to see the artists at work. We were in a wonderful mood until "he" arrived. On the ticket it said Filipe. I ordered wine to start in French. He looked really annoyed. Granted my French is not perfect but I live here now and most people enjoy when I try to speak French. Then we ordered the lamb and charcuterie. I was smiling and friendly, but for some reason he detested me. I knew it was just me because he was over friendly to our neighbors and even people walking in the street. It was almost comical. Every exchange was painful. My son noticed it too and couldn't figure it out. I thought maybe I reminded him of someone he hated. Anyway it was difficult to enjoy the food or the experience with this dark cloud around us. The food was okay, not anything extraordinary and the other servers were very nice. The prices are high but the surroundings are perfect. I paid 79.50 euros for a miserable experience. So I hope the owner of this establishment sees this. I don't like giving bad reviews. I was tempted to give only one star, but I am not a mean person.

Yelp
Thank you! Wonderful service and food. I love the vegetable soup. I'm visiting from California and this may be my favorite restaurant so far! The view from the front patio is great for people watching too :) and they taught me how to order Café crème!

Yelp
Good food, good service, music, nightlife, beautiful lively area - Place de Tertre. Diverse menu, but if you are there you should try the lobster or the escargots. It's a great choice if you plan to have a Parisian night. And the catch: big prices
google avatar

Yelp
Ok. This place scream cozy intimate French brassiere/bistro. Perfectly situated right in front of the square of artisans and tradesmen. Food was delicious and they serve crepes and eggs all day long. So if your kids are like mine and wake up at the crack of noon this place is definitely a place to be. Also right next door to the Sacred Heart Church!!!

Yelp
A cute little restaurant located in the Artist's Square of Montmartre with Sacre Coeur just a few winding streets uphill. Discover artists painting caricatures to portraits to scenes of Parisian life in the main square, then stop by Chez Eugene for a meal or espresso afterwards. I ordered the 27.50 dinner special: Foie gras (fat duck liver): Foie gras is abundant in Paris, especially during Christmastime when it's considered part of the traditional holiday meal. Deliciously rich and buttery, I could only eat half of my foie gras disk. The Parisians around me though, cleaned their plates. Confit de canard aux pommes sautees (preserved duck with sauteed potatoes): Absolutely phenomenal. This was one of my favorite dishes while in Paris! The meat was bursting with flavor (considering the duck is cooked in its own fat, this was not a surprise), and complemented by thinly sliced sauteed potatoes which perfectly soaked up the incredibly savory sauce. This time, I cleaned my plate. Profiteroles au Chocolat: Cream puffs filled with cold vanilla ice cream juxtaposed with a warm rich chocolate sauce... a wonderful traditional French dessert to end the meal! Extra brownie points, or should I say extra profiteroles au chocolat points, for a live musician and waiters dressed in 19th century Parisian attire who service with a smile!

Yelp
Here's the deal: we were starving, a little exhausted from trekking around Paris all day, the weather was perfection and I was determined to eat moules-frites, damn it! Chez Eugune is situated right in Place du Tertre, and we were psyched to get a table outside and a front row view of all the artists. Sure, there weren't too many locals dining but I found the people around us to be just our caliber. Travelers who appreciate culture but sometimes want the convenience of a waiter who speaks "un peu d'anglais". We chatted with the waiter a bit in a mix of French and English. He was certainly French, but I think he saw that while yes, we were Americain! we also appreciated French culture and we were really damn hungry. Moules-frites pour moi and steak-frites for the husband. Yum! Nothing to complain about. We both licked our plates clean. All in all, Chez Eugene isn't marriage-proposal-worthy but jeez Louise, it's a pretty nice spot to grab a bite to eat and catch some epic people watching on a sunny afternoon.
google avatar

Lissan C.

Yelp
Had a coffee break by the terrace. Nice ambience, typical Paris cafe. I can understand how the waiters are putting a lot of effort to pull tourist in to sit as I am sure it is the most expensive real estate for a cafe & they get the pressure from the owner. I saw some food passing by, they look great, typical classic French dishes, like steak frites & mussels. Love the energy around this place!
google avatar

Yelp
from our trip in 2007... we planned on having a glass of wine here. we ended up having 2 carafes! this place is located right in the Artists' Square in Montmarte. just down the street from Sacre Couer. it's an awesome spot for people watching. the staff at this place was amazing. we had practiced on the plane ride on some practical French. such as "may we order a bottle of wine". the waiters found it both funny and welcoming. hence the 2 carafes. they kept bringing out some baguettes too and teaching us more practical french. the dudes were awesome. we highly recommend this spot for the service alone.

Yelp
A little café in the centre of Montmartre. Went there one night looking for something sweet and tasty. Decided to order the pancakes with Nutella and Grand Marnier. It was good and the pancakes had a decent size - nothing fancy, just basic pancakes. Nice service, smiling and cheerful staff.
google avatar

Sofía C.

Yelp
The service was amazing and the food was great. This is a great spot in Montmartre, really intimate and cozy. I had a pitch of red wine (Côtes du Rhône), a DELICIOUS onion soup and a delicious Niçoise salad. I would definitely go back, and this spot is a sure bet for an unforgettable experience in the lovely city of Paris.
google avatar

Yelp
Avoid this resturant. First, they will convince you to eat at the resturant. It's a tourist trap! The food is bland and does not have much taste to it. I ordered a lemon sugar crepe and couldn't taste anything except eggy crepe. My husband got a cheese, ham, and mushroom crepe that had no taste to it either. We had to add salt and pepper to bring some taste to the savory crepe. They will give you an expensive bottled water if you don't ask for tap water as well. The waiter was nice to us at least. You are better off going down more and eatting a a better cafe or resturang.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
I've been here twice now. The escargot and entrecote are excellent. My daughter had the mussels and loved them. The people around us were shocked to see a five year old enjoying mussels as she did. The service is just okay and the prices are typical of Paris.
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
Came upon this café in Place du Tertre. I didn't have any breakfast yet, so I ordered the Crepes w/ Mushroom & Cheese. It wasn't the best crepe I've had, but it was still delicious (even if the mushrooms came from a can, however I secretly love canned mushrooms). I also ordered a café au lait and enjoyed my moment of peace while watching the artists get ready for the day. If you are looking to get a sketch done of you, this is the perfect spot. I was approached by one of the artists, Oscar. If you have the time and you don't have anywhere to go, just do it. It's a lovely way to live in the moment....
google avatar

Yelp
Had lunch. Very good food... beef bourgion. Great location and atmosphere. Service was great for us but another table complained of slow service. We split their menu de jour and 50 cl of wine. We were very happy
google avatar

Clara C.

Yelp
Food and service is mediocre. We got the beef stew, steak, and fish. The steak had good flavor and fries were great! Dessert was meh.
google avatar

Euge R.

Yelp
Chez Eugene is C'est Magnifique et tres bonne. Located in the middle of the Montmartre where legendary artist are born and go to display their talents. The best part of the restaurant is that it's named after me..haha I wish. Such a beautiful place to be during sunsets and evenings. The outdoor patio provides an ambiance that is unrivaled in the Montmartre square. While drinking my double espresso I even attempted to paint the scenery around me but those aspirations quickly dissipated after looking at the real artists around me do their thing.
google avatar

Evan R.

Yelp
The base of Sacre Coeur is filled with two things: artists and restaurants. In the main square, you'll see a giant mass of tables, but they are actually separate "restaurants" - every establishment that abuts the square has a section that belongs to them. We were looking for good crepes and settled in Chez Eugene. Our waiter came over and was very dismissive about us being American and speaking English. Considering this never happened anywhere else in Paris, and this is a giant tourist trap area, and the waiters were all dressed in comically stereotypical costumes, this made no sense. For what it's worth, the waiter looked like an aneorexic, French Elliot Stabler. I got the Mixte Crepe, which was ham, cheese and a fried egg. It tasted like a crepe with all of those things on it. Nothing special about the cheese, ham, or the dish. It appeared that one or two places in this area weren't quite as touristy, and if I came back I would definitely look for those.
google avatar

Shiva N.

Yelp
We came here without any clue and it was a nice surprise. We just ordered crepe which was delicious but as i looked around the other foods seemed really good. Specially pizzas and salads.
google avatar

Ben D.

Yelp
I came to expect better in Paris but this was nothing special. Ok food at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Gwyn A.

Yelp
Fun little spot! We stopped for a glass of wine outdoors after our visit to the Sacre Coeur! Waiters were so great! Helpful and lively they were dancing and singing to the live music playing inside and came and chatted with us in English - gave us free wifi and some tips. Seems a little overpriced but all we had was wine so it's hard to say! But it was just what we were looking for!
google avatar

Peter Z.

Yelp
Great restaurant at the famous 'place du tertre'. Considering the great location the prices here are more then fair, further the food is very good.
google avatar

Tom D.

Yelp
Awful. Just awful. Waiters were arrogant and scoffed as soon as we ordered the not so cheap "deal" Then the food was awful, our chicken was undercooked and poor quality meat. The only good thing about this place was its chocolate mousse. 0/10
google avatar

Yelp
Chez Eugene is a funny place. The entertainment provided by jokes relating to this food has been a great source of fun during our Paris trip, and for that reason alone I feel happy giving Chez Eugene one star for being so comical. Whoever you are Eugene, I tip my hat to you for having a hilarious sham of a restaurant. After arriving to Montmartre very late (circa 10.30pm) we realised quickly that most restaurants in the area had finished serving. Being very hungry we resigned ourselves to the fact we would probably have to eat in one of the tourist traps located in the main square. We actually looked forward to what we thought would be a funny holiday type meal, not expecting good food at all, but certainly not prepared for the hilarity that was to come. We picked Eugene's because of its incredibly cheap menu. It seemed simple and straightforward. For circa €16 we would get 3 courses. A seemingly very good deal considering the flashy tourist trap it was. You may think the food you are ordering is so simple it couldn't go too wrong. But it will. I won't go into too much detail, but though €16 may seem cheap the food you get is definitely not worth it. Also they will make their money back on the €8 for a medium soft drink. Our €50 gave us little edibility but a lot of hilarity. We had far nicer meals in Paris for similar prices with a bit of research. Scout around and pay a little more to find something better. Or if you arrived late like us, just go for a crepe across the road. (We actually opted for this after our "meal") On the small plus side the service was super super fast. So fast in fact I reckon there is just a pile of meals waiting in the kitchen. Also our waiter was very nice, almost appearing apologetic as we handed back our plates. Chez Eugene will be remembered fondly. It became a very pleasant running joke of our holiday, made us laugh both throughout the meal and for days after... But if you're not much into comedy/want food, I would avoid.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
Was starving and came upon this cafe. They stand outside looking for tourists to bring in. I watched them. We wanted to sit outside but they said it was only for drinking. We go inside and are crammed in. The French onion soup was not that great. Then we had to find our waiter to pay. He was outside trying to bring more people in
google avatar

CuisineMonsters B.

Yelp
I visited this place almost 20 years ago for my very first escargot. The service is friendly and fast, and the food can't be faulted. It's not haute couture, but you'll leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
If you are in the Montmarte area of Paris you must stop here, the cafe is great to soak in the Paris cafe ambience. The waiters are dressed very "Parisian" and there are artists everywhere. We stopped for a coffee and desserts - I ate the sorbets, and my family had ice cream...I saw a divine nutella crepe being served and I was wishing I ordered it!!
google avatar

Melanie R.

Yelp
This place is located in a little square near Sacre Couer, along with several other restaurants who are definitely pandering to the panting tourists that have trekked it up the hilly streets. The nice part is that you can sit outside-- or inside near a window-- and watch some of the street artists working their craft. But definitely don't go out of your way for the food-- there are other places in the Montmartre area that are much better. Service was good and very quick.

Kathy S.

Yelp
Fun, family friendly place. If you can sit outside in the bustling square, go for it. Very casual atmosphere. Also good lunch spot for vegetarians. I had the plat aux crudités (a salad made with lots of chopped and julienned vegetables) and it was very refreshing and definitely enough for a meal. Vegans, you can ask for this without the egg (sans œufs) and you might be able to sub the mayonnaise-based dressing for something else. Great for families: The waiters were making all the little kids around me laugh. Lots of options for kid-friendly food. A very pleasant lunch experience.
google avatar

Alexander F.

Yelp
The waiters were pompous and demeaning towards our group. Everything on the menu was overpriced for the quality of food we received. Beer was almost 10€ each, sparkling water was 7€50. There is a 20€ minimum for using a credit card which makes splitting the bill almost impossible. There are many restaurants in this vicinity that are kind to their customers and tourists (in price and attitude) but this is definitely not one of them.

Cathy D.

Yelp
Our last night in Paris, we found this restaurant in Montmartre, Nice location, nice atmosphere, with live music. Food was average, service was slow and waiter was RUDE. The waiter did not speak to us (American, though family member speaks French) but he was very pleasant with French sitting nearby. Delivered only one dinner, 3 others did not come til much later (very poorly timed); forgot part of the order, never offered coffee, etc. After 8 days in France, worst service of the week; would not return, would not recommend. Too many other good restaurants in the city to be treated so poorly.

Alyssa N.

Yelp
Good service, but food was sub-par. Soggy crepes (I ordered mushroom & cheese), probably due to microwaving to melt cheese and canned mushrooms. Frites were from a bag and cold. Pizza was worse than store bought frozen pizza. There must be better food than this up here. You'd be better off waiting.

Aurelien D.

Yelp
It is a restaurant for tourists period. Food is alright but service is so-so (waiters are a little rude). You should look in the side streets if you want to find something better around Montmartre/Sacre Coeur.

Yelp
We knew we were already stepping into risky territory when we decided to visit Montmartre but we decided to give it a shot anyway - despite the super-touristy ambiance and mediocrity of it all. It's too bad we didn't take the time to research and find a place that might actually be a worthwhile experience on our last night in Paris. In any case - we arrived and there was a couple on stage with their super-cheesy act. It was so bad it was funny - we couldn't help recording the singer who attempted to sing the Titanic song in English without knowing the lyrics. At least we got a few laughs. We ordered crepes which were not good at all - and they were covered in a ton of cheese - couldn't finish them. When we got the bill we noticed the 1 Coca-Cola was showing EUR 8.80, when the crepes had been around 7 EUR! When we told the waiter about it - explained that not even in the Champs Elysees will they charge more than 5 EUR for a soda - he said that he wasn't in charge so he couldn't do anything about it. We did not fight it further but decided to come online and warn the rest of you. Do NOT go here. Seriously - avoid all Montmartre restaurants unless a local makes a true recommendation and is willing to go with you - it's such a sin to be in Paris and not eat good food.
google avatar

Jack S.

Yelp
No need to worry about pickpockets here because the waiters will take all your money first! We order escargot and moules frites. Both dishes deserve about 2 stars. On the menu, it said €10,60 for the moules frites. When we got the bill, €3 had been added. When we asked, the waitress said she asked if we wanted cream and apparently we said yes. This never happened but she refused to change the price. Secondly, the SODA was €8,80 per cup! This was more than either of the desserts that we ordered, which also weren't too great. We told the waitress, who had been nice up until that point, that the price was insane and she snapped that it wasn't her fault. Then she had the nerve to tell us that that was a normal price for the area because of all the tourists. We are staying nearby and have eaten around here and no soda has been more than €3,00. Additionally, the bill was originally €53,00 but the restaurant adds on about 6 charges including a 20% service charge as well as another 10% on top of that. The total came out to €70,00. Unless you want a waitress who is a scam artist as well as mediocre food at extremely high prices, AVOID this place at all costs!

Yelp
Deco is nice. Food isnt. Crepes and coffee not good.

Yelp
Our table for six never completed our meal because of the slow service. Our soup and wine came after 45 minutes, then we had to get on our bus 45 minutes after that. Letting our waiter know about the time constraint did not help at all. Eventually he quickly put our meals in aluminum foil so we could take them with us and charge us for the full meal. Upon opening the foil, we got the wrong food and the dessert that we paid for was missing! These folks are not on the up and up. Our tour guide spoke with them on our behalf, and they said it was OUR fault!!!! All I can say is it really reflects badly on the French. It was the low point of our visit.

Yelp
We just returned from a meal at Chez Eugene and to be honest it was quite possibly the worst dining experience we have ever had - in the world! Our waiter tried to be polite but his customer service skills were severely lacking. The food was incredibly overpriced and the quality below average. Worst of all, when we spoke to the manager about the HAIR my partner found in his food, she had the audacity to accuse us of lying! And was generally rude, bitchy and unapologetic about the whole thing. This was the most arrogant, low-level pathetic service we have ever received in a restaurant and we will be certain to spread to word to everyone we know. DO NOT eat at Chez Eugene - you will be wasting your time and money. They clearly rely on the charming setting to create the atmosphere and dining experience for tourists because their food is bad and their service is even worse!
