Chez Mia - Review - West Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Even if you don’t spend a ton of time eating at sceney Weho restaurants, Chez Mia will probably feel familiar. This upscale French-ish spot on Melrose has a heavily designed patio filled with frilly pink umbrellas and uncomfortable circular booths, and a predictable menu of tartares, salads, and grilled meat. There are a handful of solid dishes like the wagyu strip steak and seared octopus with a lemony emulsion, but those don’t warrant the exorbitant prices (dinner for two with drinks will easily surpass $400.) And that’s if you don’t spring for caviar service. In other words, Chez Mia is like every other restaurant whose primary purpose seems to be looking gorgeous on Instagram. If you want to get dressed up and have a few cosmos at the bar before heading elsewhere, Chez Mia is a fine pitstop. If not, you’re better off just keeping this place on your For You Page. Food Rundown photo credit: Brant Cox Salade Verte This plate of romaine with a trace of vinaigrette is $17. Take that information as you will. photo credit: Brant Cox Le Pain De Mia This is what we want from a bread plate. The crust is crunchy and crackly, the soft bread is warm like a pair of pants from the dryer, and it comes with a nice spreadable herb butter (smeared on the side of the plate for some reason). photo credit: Brant Cox Caviar Gourgére Did we enjoy this teeny choux pastry filled with creme fraiche and topped with a spoonful of caviar and gold leaf? Sure. Would we ever pay $29 to eat it again? No. photo credit: Brant Cox Gambas Sauvages A totally serviceable but fairly boring plate of grilled prawns. And by boring, we mean the lemon squeeze is the most interesting thing happening here. photo credit: Brant Cox Poulpe Grille Chez Mia’s best dish is this grilled octopus. The skin is charred and crispy, with a tender interior that's snappy rather than mushy. It's nice as is, and even better with the lemony, foamy sauce that adds a pop of acidity. photo credit: Simran Malik Photography Wagyu New York Strip A nice enough steak to share—well-marbled and evenly seared with decent flavor. At $165 though, we'd probably invest our funds elsewhere." - Brant Cox

LA’s New Restaurant Openings

"It feels like West Hollywood’s Ago closed a millennium ago—OK, it’s only been five years—but the prime space on Melrose it used to occupy is finally home to a new restaurant called Chez Mia. This French restaurant from the group behind The Draycott and Olivetta has many colorful things going on: a plant-filled patio, a gold-accented dining room, and a Provençal menu featuring a tomato and peach salad with balsamic, grilled octopus in a lemon-dill emulsion, and a classic poulet rôti. We recently visited Chez Mia. Read our thoughts here." - sylvio martins

Chez Mia Has the Best New Restaurant Patio in West Hollywood - Eater LA

"Restaurateurs Marissa and Matt Hermer opened a new hotspot on October 8 called Chez Mia inside the former Ago space near the corner of Melrose Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood. Inspired by the south of France, the nearly three-year project originally called Lalou opened in partnership with entrepreneur Kurt Seidensticker, who founded Vital Proteins. Boujis Group, the hospitality group behind restaurants the Draycott and Olivetta, brought on its culinary director Ivo Filho to lead the kitchen. With 220 seats set across one of LA’s best new patios and a colorful interior, Chez Mia follows the Hermers’ see-and-be-seen formula with high-quality ingredients, sharp cooking, and easy cocktails to match attentive service." - Matthew Kang

Seriously what a CUTE restaurant. For the ladies who love a gorgeous outdoor patio with delicious food and ambience, this is your spot! Be prepared to spend as this is a refined establishment despite the garden atmosphere. Everything we purchased was delectable, and although it was simple they have great wine selection. I will definitely be back! They also have valet so you don’t need to worry about parking.

Google
Typical LA establishment. Gorgeous, gorgeous patio and lovely atmosphere. But everything else left much to be desired. We had to wait for our reservation. Service throughout the night was pretty inattentive. It took forever to receive anything we ordered. We had to beg for water, and to put in our drink order. We waited at least 30+ minutes before getting our appetizers, which came before our drinks, the food was mediocre for the price. Even the bread was disappointing. We ordered the lobster pasta, The fish and a salad which was laughably small and bland. Worst offense was dessert—the chocolate mousse was inedible. It’s way overpriced for what it is given the service and the quality of the food I wouldn’t recommend or return—I’d say skip it. Even the valet was slow.

This restaurant does not disappoint in any way! It is so beautifully done. The staff couldn’t be more personable and friendly! Great place for dinner. I would try to come before sunset and enjoy a nice long dinner here with people you love!

My friends and I were there on the first week of Chez Mia and it’s was absolutely amazing! The place is so beautiful and elegant that it makes you want to stay for hours and hours just chatting and drinking (we had cocktails and a delicious French sparkling wine). We ordered multiple dishes to share and everything was phenomenal. The grilled octopus, NY steak, tuna tartare, truffle pasta and the bread were to die for! Congratulations to the chef, we will come back for sure!

Chez Mia is a true culinary gem! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a wonderful and stylish ambiance that set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The friendly and knowledgeable staff were attentive, enthusiastic, and happy to guide us through the menu. And what a menu it is! The cuisine at Chez Mia is truly tasty and creative, with each dish expertly crafted to showcase the freshest ingredients. Every bite was a delight, and we were impressed by the chef's skill and imagination. To complement our meal, we explored the fantastic wine list, which offered a thoughtful selection of old and new world wines. The staff's recommendations were spot on, and we enjoyed every sip. Overall, our experience at Chez Mia was exceptional. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in a beautiful and sophisticated setting. We can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

Google
The food is delicious . We ordered many dishes to share and try different entrees and main course and each dish was delightful . My favourite was the octopus at entrees. it is a gorgeous place that takes you to France with a cosy atmosphere. All service excelled , from greeting to final table service .

We celebrated our son's graduation here. We picked it for the great ambiance and it delivered. Service and food was delicious. I recommend it

Google
Had such a wonderful time! Everything from ambience, service, and especially food was so memorable. Would definitely come back, good atmosphere for any occasion. I highly recommend the caviar gougère, gambas sauvages, fleurs de courgettes (squash blossoms), lobster bucatini, côtelettes d’agneau (lamb chops), pomme purée (whipped potatoes), and any/all of their signature cocktails and dessert! My photos don’t do the food justice, it was all so delicious and satisfying! My complements to the chef~

Yelp
Cute for Valentines Day, I love the outdoor patio, ambiance was lovely, service was impeccable. The cute pink umbrellas on the platoon and teal furniture created a memorable and elegant setting. We started with the salade verte, it was super tasty and fresh. I loved the carpaccio de seiole, it was pretty much a standout dish especially that it was topped with truffles which enhanced the dish. The Le Pai. De Mia is a must order treat, freshly baked and great to soak up sauces. The poulpe grille was grilled to perfection and nicely charred flavor. The Fleur de courgettes is also a must, full of flavor and devouring. Ended with some grand desserts, I highly recommend crème glace pistachio , it was smooth and refreshing. The venue was beautiful, service was attentive, highly recommend.

Yelp
Chez Mia in West Hollywood is a beautifully designed restaurant with a stylish ambiance and valet parking at the front. Our experience was unique, to say the least. We were a party of four but were initially seated at an extremely small table possibly meant for 2 or 3 people max. After requesting a change, we were moved to a much more comfortable table on the patio. Once seated, we waited quite a while for our server to take our order, possibly due to understaffing. We originally wanted the lobster pasta but were informed it was unavailable. Instead, we opted for the lamb chops, which our server highly recommended only to be told a few minutes later that they were also out. This caught us off guard, especially given the already limited menu options. Adding to the confusion, when our food finally arrived, the lamb chops were actually brought out, despite being told they were unavailable. At that point, we weren't sure what to make of the situation. Highly Recommend: *Le Pain De Mia (Bread) *Salade De Trevise (Salad) *Fleurs De Courgetttes (Squash Blossom) Lamb Chops *Ferrero Rocher Chocolate Bar You Can Skip: *Linguini A La Truffe Blanche (truffle pasta) *Saint Pierre (John Dory) *Ratatouille Provencale While the ambiance was impressive, the inconsistent service and menu shortages made for a mixed experience.

Yelp
Place and atmosphere is beautiful and the staff from entrance to service are exceptional. Warm and welcoming. The only disappointment was the menu and the food. And the one thing we were really excited to have was the squash blossoms and they ran out. We had the lamb chops and lobster pasta and octopus. The octopus was actually very good, cooked perfectly. The chops were quite simple for $75. Nothing special about the meat either. Lobster pasta had a good portion of lobster and was delicious but again nothing particularly unique or special. For the prices, the food did not meet expectations.

Yelp
The ambience is romantic - great for Date nights or special occasions. The food is great. The bread was crispy and the butter came from Normandie. The Prawns were grilled perfectly. The Wagyu beef tartare was delicious and flavorful. We also loved the grilled artichokes and the whole branzino was the star of the show. They have a full bar. Although they ran out of most of their Tequilas, they still have some good selections. They have mostly French wines. Corkage was $75. Our server was absolutely wonderful. He was super nice and attentive - Shout out to Ammon. Valet available. I definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
This place over exceeded my expectations. The place is gorgeous and beautifully done! Cozy, cute, spacious, and just beautifully decorated. Servcie was great! Our server Joey really took great care of our group and spaced out our courses perfectly! Nothing I hate more when server brings everything we ordered at once and no where to place it. But Joey took great care of all our courses and made the entire night pleasant. Wine selection is ok/good. Some legendary vintage wines like the Bellegrave pomerol 2009 I noticed. The food was OUTSTANDING! Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked, warm, and very very tasty! Just delicious! The chef is excellent! One of the best restaurants in LA ! The only thing I HATE and happens to be my biggest pet peeve in restaurants is the telephone! They have no answering service and no one picks up the phone. I wanted to add 2 more friends to my reservation and couldn't because there was no one to talk to. I left 2 messages on the machine and no call backs. I was running 5 mins behind on my reservation time and couldn't call anyone, cause again NO ONE TO TALK TO!! This is my only complaint about the restaurant is the initial customer service and the inconvenience of not being able to talk to anyone. If the restaurant wasn't impressive I would have given this place a 3 star review for that reason. But the chef and service staff deserve the 5 stars and saved it.

Yelp
Chez Mia has a fantastic ambiance, it really makes you feel like you've stepped into another place entirely. The decor was well thought out and added to the overall experience in a great way. We came here for drinks on Valentine's Day and noticed that guests with reservations were given roses, which was a really nice and thoughtful touch. Small details like that definitely add to the charm of a place. As for the drinks, the Nicolette's Water Fire was the standout for me--unique, well balanced, and something I'd absolutely order again. The Monsieur George, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown. Not necessarily bad, just not as impressive as we had hoped. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Overall, it was a great experience. Would come back to try more!

Yelp
Utterly divine. Chez Mia is officially one of my new favorite restaurants! Let me start by saying the ambiance is perfection. It is SUPER cute and perfect for any occasion. We sat outside and loved it! They have great heating lamps for colder days. Service was also amazing - from the moment we walked in until the very end. The host was very nice and our waitress was super helpful and awesome. Now for the best part - the food. I wanted to order every single thing on the menu. I highly recommend the caviar balls. We started with that and it was so insanely amazing that we had it again at the end. The prawns and tuna tartare were super fresh and tasty. The steak was grilled to perfection and was crispy on the outside. The whipped potatoes with truffle were so good that I'll be dreaming about them forever. The only somewhat disappointing dish was the truffle spaghetti. I was expecting it to be better, but it was actually on the sweeter end (probably because of the soy sauce addition to it) and somewhat plain. I'd skip it next time, but there's tons on the menu to choose from. It's also good to know that they have a ton of vegan options! And drinks were fabulous as well! Can't wait to go back! I have another reservation coming up in about ten days and I am already excited!

Yelp
Such a beautiful spot!! An outdoor oasis from the same owner as Olivetta. It's kind of pricey and the crowd is a little older than I'd like. Amazing for a date. The food was good but nothing blew me away. We got the tuna tartar, hamachi carpaccio, fries, citrus salad, squash blossoms, lamb chops, branzino, and apple tart for dessert. My favorites were the lamb chops and hamachi carpaccio!!

Yelp
I recently celebrated my birthday at Chez Mia, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the perfect mood--charming decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. I particularly loved the lamb chops, which was a standout! The service was top-notch. Our server was attentive and friendly.. even got me a treat to celebrate my birthday! Their deserts are divine.. had the Madeline's! Swoon! Yasss yass and yasss! Chez Mia is quietly getting ready to be the next go to spot... can't wait to try brunch.

Yelp
Dive was an amazing bartender. I had a wonderful time at the start of the day. She really does know the classics. Had an amazing Green Point. Definitely come here!

Yelp
Bonjour! My husband I had a lovely experience but I had the beef tartare as a main for dinner and it really made me sick in the middle of the night. The stomach cramps woke me up and kept me up for the next's hours :( this is highly inacceptable for a $200 meal. I am not sure if other customers had a similar experience but I truly hope not. Please check the meat quality and it's handling and refrigeration. The restaurant never responded to my concern via email.
google avatar

Lynnette M.

Yelp
Food was actually super delicious and drinks were 10/10 But the reason I'm giving them 3 stars is due to our waitress and vibes overall She gave us very mean girl vibes as well as "we don't belong" in a nice restaurant vibes I would ask a question about the menu asking "what's this item*" and she was like "well it's *item" like clearly I didn't know what it was that's why I was asking. She also has a very uninterested attitude serving us. But I LOVED how Jo was very attentive to us and super good vibes and attitude overall was so wonderful He really uplifted the slack from our waitress :) As well as Tate in the front who seated us was very good vibes as well very welcoming

Yelp
Such a cute spot! A new French restaurant with gorgeous outdoor seating and indoor. Cocktails are strong, and everything has been fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
Our party of 5 had such an amazing time at Chez Mia. We sat outdoors and their setup was lovely: the lights, the decor, the music, and the service. It'd make for a perfect place for a romantic date. We ordered family style and so many of the dishes were amazingly delicious and nothing like what I've eaten before. Our favorites were the hamachi crudo, the lamb, the lobster pasta, surprisingly the fries, and THE MADELEINES. The drinks were also on point. I'm not usually a fine dining type of person but this entire dining experience was worth it.
google avatar

Simone G.

Yelp
Great ambiance, good service but unimpressed with the food, especially since the portions are small and incredibly overpriced.
google avatar

Danny Y.

Yelp
Valet and metered parking available. Staff is very nice. Pricing and portions are as expected for this kind of romantic and trendy spot. Food overall is good but not mind blowing. You are mainly coming here for the ambiance and decor. Reservations are recommended
google avatar

Tina H.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Chez Mia food but unfortunately it was not what I expected. The service was good ,our server did her best but the food was not worth the price. Our truffle pasta came to the table cold ,not warm but cold .We also found hair in the pasta. The fish were good, but everything else was average. Our server offered us two desserts on her but even the dessert wasn't good. Hopefully they'll change sth about their food because the place is beautiful.

Sarah F.

Yelp
Rating: This place looks nice, but that's where the positives end. The service was terrible and the food was not worth the price. We ordered three lamb chops for $78, and after 30 minutes, they came to tell us it was sold out. We tried the artichokes, prawns and truffle fries which were all meh... Instead of the chops, we were given the branzino fish, which was underwhelming and tasteless--definitely under-seasoned. Everything took forever, and overall, the food didn't meet expectations at all. Definitely not worth the price, and we won't be coming back.

Jade J.

Yelp
hip vibe love the plants around seating areas Definitely order the madeleines for dessert, they're well made here great drinks, ok food

Yelp
Great ambiance! And cocktails! Must get the fries and Dover sole! Sitting the bar is fabulous!

Yelp
Great ambiance, great food and drinks! The bread was delicious! We also had the veggie lasagna and salmon which were really good. Would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Beeta B.

Yelp
We were very excited to have dinner here and delighted to have scored a reservation. The patio ambiance is gorgeous, major vibes. Sadly tho, the host desk is manned by a bunch of unpleasant and unprofessional folks. We're told we would have to wait (for an unknown amount of time) even though we had a reservation. Why? Because "A large party just came in unexpectedly." Ok, but we had a reservation. No concern, just told us to wait by the bar. We finally got seated at a crappy table. Service was good, and the few dishes we got were tasty, but quite pricey. Another couple next to us also had an issue with seating which turned into an altercation with management, which was handled very poorly. I witnessed the entire thing, and it ruined my meal. So, $200 later, we had a very mediocre evening. It could have been so good, but the way the restaurant is managed is pretty awful for a place of this caliber. Major bummer.
google avatar

Jenni H.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning restaurant in West Hollywood. Whether you're dining on the expansive garden patio, bar or indoor seating. Great cocktails ($18 - $22). Must orders: scallop curdo ($32), agnolotti ($28), wagyu tartare ($35), whole branzino ($72). Can't wait to come back to try more. Perfect for any occasion but especially for date night, girls night, private event or dining solo at the bar. Valet parking.
google avatar

Derrick A.

Yelp
Place has loads of potential but hoping it's just going through growing pains as a new restaurant. Atmosphere 5 stars Staff 3 stars - we had four different people at our table, we had been asked for water and bread 3 times, until our actual server arrived, but then changed after taking our drink order. Still unclear who our server actually was. Value for your money 2 stars - very small portions for high pricing, $10 per bottle of water, but flavor was decent on the food. Not blown away but it was good food. Unfortunately a very cliche "LA" experience.
google avatar

Mariana B.

Yelp
Let me start off by complementing the chef for one of the best steaks I ever had! I can't stop craving the Wagyu steak! Also, the octopus is perfectly cooked just incredible. Drinks are amazing! If you are a gin gal like me define you order the Princess Peche! Service is great! Staff is extremely friendly, and fast. The house sommelier is by far the most helpful som in LA she is cheerful and doesn't judge your wine/drink order she just wants you to enjoy your drink order! The location of the restaurant is perfect and the decor is beautiful it feels like you are in the south of France! Def recommend for date night, girls night or just because! Hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did!
google avatar

Savitri L.

Yelp
We really loved this experience. It's sooooooo pretty inside out , lots of plants and pretty decor . It's so cute and very nice for a date night. The staff are very kind and helpful and always come and check on you. The food is pretty good it's a French theme. It is though pretty expensive but we think it is worth it. We recommend coming here.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Food was delicious, just very overpriced compared to other LA fine dining spots. We had beef tartar, squash blossoms, scallop carpaccio, lobster spaghetti, filet mignon (delicious but definitely not worth the $95 for small 8oz), chocolate mouse, and one other dessert, plus wine and cocktails. Waiter tried to tell me Four Roses bourbon was made in Canada lol but was otherwise good service, attentive to drinks and food came out pretty quick each round. Tables and chairs inside were so close to each other waitstaff and patrons could barely squeeze by. Great food, just not worth the price for the ambiance.

Yelp
Chez Mia is an absolute GEM! From the moment you walk in the ambiance exudes pure romance and charm. From the beautfiul color pallate to the plants and fountain. I was sensationalized by the beautiful decor and sounds! The food was nothing short of perfection and each dish was tasty and beautifully presented. Our server Janay elevated the experience by being attentive, friendly, and made us feel like the most important guests in the restaurant. Her recommendations were spot-on. She was very genuine and made us our visit extra special. The restaurant manager, Arturo, stopped by our table to check in on us and personally thanked us for dining there and made us feel welcome and special. For an unforgetttable romantic night, Chez Mia is the place to be! We can't wait to return more and more.

Yelp
4.5 stars, good food, good crowd and ambience. Music was nice too--not hip hop!!! Would definitely go back and try more things.
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
Everything was absolutely amazing !! Food, service, atmosphere, music.... Everyone was extremely nice. Sommelier had a lot of knowledge about everything, the server knew it how to explain all items. We ordered a couple of appetizers and main dishes, all to share. That was definitely the best option so we were all able to try a lot of things. Quality and cooked to perfection. Amazing experience and will definitely come back. I would give more than 5 starts, highly recommend.

Yelp
My friends and I went for their grand opening. The ambiance is really nice and the service is as well. Our waitress was amazing. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The Monet's Lavender drink was perfect. All of the food we got was delicious. My favorite dish was the Linguini Á La Truffe Noire! So so so good. We came at 5:15pm but I do want to come at night to experience that vibe. I would most definitely come back! Cute date night restaurant with your friends or your partner.

Ziggy R.

Yelp
Well, if that isn't a home run of a restaurant, I don't know what it is. The ambience and decor is absolutely outstanding, not that I expected anything less. But this one really is a triumph. I was told it took 2 1/2 years to complete and boy does it show. Now let's talk about the food ... four of us all had different items and absolutely everything was outstanding. I introduced my guests to the bread and they ordered a second round. The lamb chops and the truffle fettuccine were superb. Service was five star all-around. From being greeting by the maitre d' and her three hostesses, to the bartenders and bar backs, to our lovely waitress and the fantastic manager you couldn't want better service. Attentive but not overwhelming. I especially liked that the runners knew who had ordered which dish. I could not recommend this restaurant more. I will be back with several other groups of friends ...

Yelp
Food was nothing to write home about. It was fresh but nothing memorable. The ambiance was great, the decor was lovely. I celebrated my bday there with a few girlfriends and it was nice. Good for a date night or a girls night.

David G.

Yelp
The food is very expensive but as one would like to expect, very well done. The ambience and service are outstanding but at the end of the meal you were left with a surprisingly disappointing absolutely terrible coffee. Our group had committed coffee aficionados who universally agreed that the coffee was literally undrinkable. The server tried to explain it away--she obviously had lot of experience with this complaint--by giving a short disclaimer concerning the "fine grind" they use but the explanation was nonsense. If you really must go to Chez Mia, dispatch one of your number to run down the street to Coffee Bean or Starbucks to finish an otherwise splendid dining experience.

Yelp
Gorgeous terrace. Nice menu and great food. Lovely staff. Cocktails were super tasty! Definitely a good spot to have dinner at. Would recommend.

Yelp
Let me start out by saying, this is some of the most delicious, fresh, unbelievably tasty and exquisite food that I have ever tried not only in Los Angeles (and there's a LOT of great restaurants in LA) but in a VERY long time. Decor and Ambiance: It transports you to the French countryside with beautiful decor, great music choices, and just a wonderful vibe. Whoever designed this restaurant did such an amazing job. Just sitting there in that energy is everything and it makes you feel so good inside. Service: Amazing!!! Everyone is so nice, kind, patient and gives really great recommendations on the menu. Food: ugh, I don't even know where to begin. I'm salivating writing this review because just thinking about their food is making me want to go back already. I ordered a lot of different things to try and nothing disappointed, absolutely nothing! The Tuna Tartare was so fresh and just melted in my mouth. Hamachi with truffles was exceptional with the perfect amount of truffle flavor. The tomato and peach salad was so fresh, I felt like I was eating fruits and vegetables out of someone's garden. The prawns were fresh and perfectly done. Squeeze some lemon on them and YUM chefs kiss! And last but not least my favorite dish was the wagyu filet that just MELTS in your mouth. That is some of the best wagyu filet that I think I've ever put in my mouth. This chef is INCREDIBLE and I was so honored to be eating there and trying these creative and beautiful recipes. Do yourself a favor and go to Chez Mia. You won't regret it.

Debora S.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We started with the bread, tuna tartare and squash. Main entrees were the branzino and filet mignon and two rounds of drinks. Very tasty. The problem is their host. When we arrived, he made us feel like we were a complete bother because we asked to have a table outside instead of inside if possible. He rolled his eyes and said "other people were enjoying their dinning experience". That's it. As if we weren't privileged enough to enjoy ours? He told us to step aside while he helped other guests get seated. He then full on ignored us for about 10 minutes until I said well keep our original indoor table. The whole interaction unfortunately soured our experience. Sorry I don't have 30k instagram and tik tok followers, just believe we also deserved to have an enjoyable experience as well.

Judy S.

Yelp
Food was fairly good, cute outdoor ambiance but the customer service...wow. Rude and so dismissive. Mind you, our actual server Ruth was great. She didn't hover. She allowed us plenty of time to just enjoy the food and the company. However, it was really the actions of a different server next to our table that ruined the whole night. I emailed the restaurant directly about it and a month later, still no response or an acknowledgment of wrongdoing. So now, I am posting a yelp review to make it very clear that the look and taste of your food doesn't matter if one of the employees completely disregards and dismisses the comforts of one table of customers because they're trying to impress another table of customers - influencer type people. Never going back. It's like our table was invisible to this guy. Our comfort and experience did not matter one bit. And why didn't I just bring it up to our server? Because she shouldn't have to be the one to deal with another employee's poor actions. Management should. And I figured if I emailed them, they could handle it. But as far as I know, management hasn't done anything about it and they haven't even bothered to reach out to apologize for completely ruining our celebration.

The food is delicious . We ordered many dishes to share and try different entrees and main course and each dish was delightful . My favourite was the octopus at entrees. it is a gorgeous place that takes you to France with a cosy atmosphere. All service excelled , from greeting to final table service .

Yelp
Going to have to come back when things are settled in more. Very chic new hot spot in the neighborhood. Wasn't very hungry so just got a few things: bread and crudite, squash blossoms, salmon carpaccio (TINY little portions) and the upside down apple tart for dessert. The main thing I docked them for was the service. Our server was a little too quirky and made some comments that I wasn't a fan of, and also the runners are still learning table numbers. They just opened a few weeks ago so I understand they're still learning and getting used to things. But we saw our dessert travel, tried to get his attention, and he still dropped it to the wrong table. Also they tried bringing us others food when we didn't order it. Last but not least, it's a French restaurant but absolutely nothing screamed French to me. Me and my friend were confused at the menu focusing mainly on pastas. Even the server told us the gelato is awesome since the machine is from Italy so "unless we have been to Italy" we haven't had it before.

Yelp
Really loved it! Beautiful ambiance, good drinks, great food. I think I enjoyed the tartar and the caviar the most but all the apps were incredible. Will definitely be back again soon!

Yelp
I wanted to leave a review, and I wish there was a 3.5 star, because that's what I would have left. Let me start with the positive, because there was lots. The ambiance is beautiful and the food was really tasty. I love how the patio is sunken in so there's not a lot of wind on a breezy night. The heat lamps also create a nice bubble of warmth on a cold night. The umbrellas and chairs are gorgeous, and our server was excellent. Very knowledgeable and personable. But that's where the exceptionalism stops. When we arrived we had to wait 15 min at the bar although half of the restaurant was not seated. I would not have minded but there's no where to stand. So you're basically in the way of everyone running food and on top of the poor tables sat near the bar. It was awkward. Next when we sat, it took over 30 min to get our first round of drinks. Again, the restaurant was not full so this was confusing. The manager did come over and apologize and comp the round which was nice of her. The appetizers were delicious, we had the bread (heavenly) the tuna belly puffs (a special) and the caviar bites (insane). a+ to all. Next we had the ravioli's (excellent, exceptional) the branzino (average at best, beautiful looking, lacked flavor) and the large steak. It was delicious but came almost cold. This was disappointing because it was SO EXPENSIVE, at that price point nothing should ever come cold. We did not complain because no one came to check on us, and it was delicious and we had to flag someone down for steak knives. We also had the truffle mashed, fries and spring vegetables. All were amazing. We also ordered another round of drinks which took at least 20 min again. The desserts were also exceptional, the one from St Tropez was sublime, truly spot on for a south of France dessert. The caramel special dessert was also and A+. Great dessert chef! All in all, I would def go back but they have a lot of service issues to work on. Especially when you're spending almost $1000 for dinner for 4 people, you expect the food to be hot, the service to be on point and the drinks to not take a half hour. I recommend checking it out. Maybe a Saturday night was understaffed, not sure but they need more staff.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner! 6 girlfriends and I just spent 5 hours at Chez Mia for drinks and appetizers at the gorgeous outdoor bar followed by a cozy dinner on the patio. The service was impeccable. Lexie our waitress was so darling. She was full of great suggestions and very attentive (made sure the drinks were flowing!!). Food was delicious. Some favourites: the crispy octopus, artichokes, burrata salad and wagyu filet

Yelp
It's a terrible feeling when you leave a restaurant lamenting that you didn't just go for the classic tried and true places that have always shone. Ugh. The Grill, a venerable Beverly Hills restaurant I went to last week comes to mind. I had a FANTASTIC meal there, was welcomed warmly and felt very taken care of by their professional staff. I wondered why I didn't go there more often and promised to correct that going forward. Unfortunately, such was not the case last night, quite the opposite. Chez Mia, the new buzzy place, disappointed before, during and after the $600+ meal spent for three last night. The host was utterly charmless and brusque. Upon our prompt arrival for our 7pm Monday night dinner reservation, we were instructed to go to the bar and wait for our table to be readied [a refrain I heard said to others newly arriving] - this despite numerous empty tables obviously available and 'ready'. At 7:17pm, still standing at the also emptyish bar, we went back up to the host to inquire about our table. We were then ordered to go back to the bar for a few more minutes as our table was being readied, a table we saw that was already available when we first walked in. Seeing that this table was not in a choice location [in a walkway] we asked for another better sited table and got ushered to one which was also empty and available when we walked in over a quarter of an hour ago. Oy...no wonder they instruct people to go to the bar. You'll need a drink! The patio's décor....hmmmm...what can I say. It seems that the pink, frilly motif was designed for an Instagram set devoid of sophistication or design edge. This is Los Angeles! In the heart of the design district! What is this place supposed to evoke? The south of France? Not what I got. With our balmy climate so perfect for outdoor dining, this was an opportunity for them to really stand out with their large patio space as nearby Gracias Madre has done spectacularly. Foodwise, the appetizers we ordered were good. The wonderfully warm and crackly bread with a smear of Normandy butter was artfully presented. The green salad was lip-smackingly tangy. What's not to love about crispy, stuffed zucchini blossom? Same with the grilled octopus. The entrée of grilled Colorado lamb chops was sublime. BUT the linquini with black truffle was a greigey slop and was an utter disappointment as there were no shaved truffles at all but seemingly blended into the cream sauce ergo the sickly pallor of the dish. Ooof! Vegetarians be warned - go to Crossroads down the block instead. So...$600 and some change later, we ran out of there, vowed to never come back and made dinner reservations at The Grill pronto.

Yelp
The portions are incredibly small and we spent an exorbitant amount of money only to leave hungry. They didn't have a lot of items on the menu available. Overall, a really bad experience. I love Olivetta, but this doesn't come close.

Yelp
If you want to eat listening to a music playlist that you'd hear in a bad Disco in Ibiza this is your place. Crowd sort of matched that vibe. Small Wine pours. The outdoor is really special and pretty, my friend commented that it reminded her of Olivetti which makes sense, same owner. Some dishes outstanding others so so. I think they're still getting their footing, will return in a month to give it another shot.
