We tried this new hotpot place for my birthday. Unfortunately, there was no special birthday treat or acknowledgment, which was a bit disappointing. The chicken broth was fresh and flavorful, and the service was attentive. However, the meal was expensive—$98 just for the broth for four people, and with side dishes and toppings, the bill came to around $300. The sauce bar wasn’t worth the extra charge, with very limited options. Unless they offer an all-you-can-eat menu or adjust their pricing, we probably won’t be back.

Google
They gave out free Zongzi for Dragon Boat Festival!! (4 flavor options w jasmine aroma and it was decent!) Coconut chicken here makes me feel like home ❤️ the baby chicken is so tender and the coconut broth is so flavorful and hearty. We also loved the rice noodle (surprisingly the best rice noodle I’ve had in New York) as it has wok hey/smokey flavor) they also have all the authentic coconut chicken sauce options (scallion ginger, lime, lemon sauce, etc.) highly rec!!!!

Google
Amazing broth and food, definitely would come back! The place is a bit unconventional. They have set combos that include the broth type and a bunch of ingredients. We got the chicken combo and it also came with a whole plate of chicken. We typically don’t eat chicken at hot pot but between all the other options this was the best choice. Plenty of a la carte options to pick more items and good sauce station too. Service was attentive and great, and the place is big enough where it doesn’t feel crowded. Only downside is I wish they had more combos or other smaller-sized options to choose from. We had four people and our one combo was still a lot. But given the broth is truly outstanding - more than most other hot pot places - I’ll let this one slide! Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Google
Chi Chicken Hotpot is a fantastic spot for hotpot lovers who appreciate quality ingredients and bold flavors. The mushroom chicken broth was absolutely delicious—rich, savory, and packed with umami that elevated the whole dining experience. The ingredients were fresh and high quality, making every bite satisfying. That said, it’s definitely on the pricey side, so it’s more of a treat-yourself kind of meal than an everyday spot. The cozy ambiance and flavorful hotpot make it worth splurging on, especially if you’re in the mood for something comforting yet elevated. If you don’t mind the price tag, Chi Chicken Hotpot is definitely worth a visit!

Google
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chi Chicken, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The staff jerry and xi were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our needs were met without being intrusive. The highlight, of course, was the food. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was more delicious than the last. The chicken was perfectly cooked just in 3 minutes – tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Overall, Chi Chicken exceeded all my expectations. Will definitely come back.

Google
Really solid spot for coconut chicken. The broth is super flavorful and the chicken is tender and juicy. Everything feels fresh, and the portions are generous. Chill atmosphere too — perfect for hanging out with friends. Definitely coming back.

Google
The food is great, soup base including the chicken, fish maw and sea cucumber. The server set up the soup for us, it required to wait a little bit, but overall the food comes really fast. We are group of 3, shared soup size for 2 and order some extra veggie, tofu and meat. We like the sweet fried steamed buns too! The only thing I think they can improve is that the sauce / fruit bar price is included, we been noticed that when we almost finished, didn’t get chance to try the hotpot sauce, but fruit is good. The dinning environment is great, guess the owner is a movie lover too.

Google
I recently visited Chi Chicken in NYC and had an amazing experience! The chicken in coconut soup was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The food was served quickly, which made it an ideal spot for a satisfying and speedy meal. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving flavorful comfort food. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
nice food! love the chicken with coconut! i will come back again! wish they can have more option for the fruit

Yelp
fresh food and nice service, I would definitely come back again. I love the coconut chicken.

Yelp
Delicious hot-pot place known for their flavorful and healthy broths, specifically their chicken broth known for their healthy collagen features. They seat you once you have a full party and are primarily a dinner spot; their setup is straightforward and well-done (with iPads to place your order) and service is prompt and efficient. They're well-known for their coconut drinks and have a wide range of other items, including herbal tea and a variety of bottled beer. Note that you can get a free wagyu item after spending ~$288 on your meal!

Yelp
Delicious broth base and fresh ingredients. Before this restaurant, I had never tried chicken hotpot. The chicken is very tender and their house special sauce (recipe on the sauce bar) is me and my wife's favorite! The portion for 2 is quite generous. Their egg noodles are delicious! Service is prompt and the ambiance is lively (but not too loud) during lunch and dinner hours.

Yelp
Came at 2 PM on a Thursday for lunch and there was no wait. The coconut chicken broth comes with chicken, so we just added a veggie combo and some other mix-ins. This was my first time trying this specific type of broth, and at first it was like straight up coconut water, but then I got used to it and really liked it. Toppings bar has a nice selection - bonus points for shrimp chips, I love those guys. Overall I like the nearby Da Long Yi better, but this is great if you want that specific broth. The place is pricey (it ran us like $65/pp after tip) but really good/fresh ingredients.
google avatar

Mandy L.

Yelp
Really good chicken and fish maw broth - you can tell they use quality ingredients especially by separating the chicken pieces and fish maw from the broth so you can really enjoy both elements. Once you spend over $280, you also get the Wagyu beef for free which was great. Everything was very tasty and will definitely come back next time to try their coconut chicken pot

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my friends on a Saturday night and the restaurant was pretty busy. I called beforehand to make sure they had a table for us so we were seated almost immediately. The restaurant was pretty busy with lots of tables filled with groups of friends. We got the coconut chicken with some add-ons, and the sauce bar add-on for each person. The coconut chicken soup base is made with 1 bottle of fiji water and 4 coconuts. The soup was really light and sweet - definitely an acquired taste for those who like coconut water flavors. I definitely suggest getting the sauce bar add-on, as it comes with some sides, fruits, and making your own dipping sauce really elevates the overall experience. Would recommend trying and would come back again!

Yelp
Delicious hotpot! Nice service. Love coconut chicken broth. I would like to go here again. I haven't thought I can get coconut chicken in the us

Yelp
From the outside it doesn't seem like the place would be so big. But once you enter there's seating upstairs and downstairs. There's interesting decor such as Harry Potter by the black wall and where the restrooms are located. That decor doesn't make sense. The way you check in is interesting either with one of the waitstaff who has a tablet or the tablet in the middle of the entrance area. Depending on when you show up there's a bit of a wait. Once you get seated, you order using another tablet. It was only two of us and we ordered a bunch of items. There was a timer on the table which is supposed to let you know when the meat is done. Everything did add up so it became quite pricey at the end. Got the mushroom broth so I'm not sure how the coconut broth would taste. Service wise it was good. I'm not sure if I would go back as there's so many other hot pot places to check out.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning hot pot. If you're a fan of fresh chicken flavors this is your spot! My friend and I decided to come check out this spot as it's fairly new and got super excited about trying coconut with chicken as a broth base. (This is what they're known for) We ordered the typical things you get at hot pot like meats and veggies and fish balls and noodles. The shrimp paste was the Instagram worthy one where steam comes out of the bottom. Honestly this also tasted really good. We got our sauces on the side as per usual and then I think since we didn't know what to do with the chicken we just let the workers do it for us but they will leave you alone if you don't need help. I thought the hot pot was so fancy everything was shiny and gold. Overall the base broth was so herbal and slightly sweet it made everything taste really good so I highly recommend this place if you're into those flavors!

Yelp
First time trying a coconut chicken soup based hotpot, and it was absolutely delicious. Pro tip: try arrive early during weekends, as they do not accept reservations and it can be quite packed around dinner hours. We got here about 5pm and it was perfect timing. The selection of food items is good, we picked a few protein and veggies. The sauce buffet was amazing as well. Ambiance wise, it is more like social casual dining, perfect for any occasions.
google avatar

Elisa L.

Yelp
My partner and I have passed by here on occasion on the weekends and it's always a huge lineup. Finally I was able to try it when parents were visiting on a weekday lunch, and it was completely empty with a very different vibe than weekends. Because of the emptiness, the staff were very accommodating and helpful for intro'ing us to the menu and getting us set up. We had the coconut chicken broth and shared it amongst 3 people. They said this is a good amount if you're not too hungry (even though on the ordering ipad, it says "for 2"). I thought it was interesting that they literally poured in coconut water from the coconut into the hotpot, but then it was ridiculous that they opened brand new Fiji bottled water and pour that in as well, lol. The coconut broth is actually really good, and unique. I've never had anything like that as hotpot broth. The actual portion size is pretty small considering the starting price is $68. We loaded up on the sauce station's shredded tofu, shrimp crackers, and fruit so we were still full by the end of it, but if you're a group of hungry men I don't think it'd be enough food. The actual chicken quality - we got boned, free-range chicken but didn't think it was that special. It also gets dry to have chicken soaking in the broth for too long, so it's better to eat it earlier, but you usually want to eat the veggies along side the meat so it feels like weird timing. Maybe it'd be better if they don't cook all the chicken at once for you. You can pay an extra $6 for boneless chicken. The other tables around us also order extra meat to their order since that's the norm for Chinese hotpot, and plus if you're going with a big group you probably want to have more variety. Overall I thought it was unique that they focus on chicken broth, and it was great to try with very attentive service. I can see it being overrated if you waited almost 2 hours on the weekend though.

Yelp
Great coconut chicken hot pot. Can reserve the private room for large groups as long as you can meet the minimum spend. Was perfect for a family gathering and was cheaper than expected!

Yelp
Coconut chicken hot pot has been quite popular in Asia recently, so I was very excited to see such a hot pot restaurant open up right here in LIC. I dropped by with a friend for a weekend lunch; we arrived around 1pm and there were plenty of seats available. I was actually really pleasantly surprised with how the broth and chicken turned out. I'm not usually the biggest fan of boiled chicken, but our "organic free range chicken" was quite delicious cooked in the coconut water + bottled water broth. (Why they needed to use Fiji bottled water was beyond me.) The fresh, sweet aroma of the coconut water paired really well with the tender chicken. (And, unlike many hot pot broths, this was lovely to drink after we finished all of our food.) We also ordered a few other side dishes. The fishball with pork filling was amazing - they were big, juicy, and practically bursting with the savoury filling. So worth the price! The angus beef and tofu we ordered were also not bad, but nothing was particularly notable about these. Service was pretty fast overall. It is hot pot, of course, so there wasn't too much to be done, but they were generally quite helpful with helping us order and set up the chicken to be cooked once our broth came. All in all, a very good meal, but the price point is definitely on the high side. I might consider coming back with a larger party (economies of scale for hot pot!), but I'm not sure if it was that worth for just our group of 2.

Yelp
Chi Chicken is a great alternative option for those who want to still get hot pot but choose a healthier option in LIC. We got the chicken and mushroom soup base. It was the first time my husband said he didn't really need to use the sauces he had made. While I disagreed with him on that, I did think the broth was deep and flavorful. When we asked to take the broth to go, they packed it in a nice bag and container. We also were served the soup and chicken before we began cooking the items we had ordered. I didn't know chicken came with the broth, so it was a wonderful surprise. I will say that this is not the place for those who are looking for a style similar to an all you can eat hot pot place. It is more costly, but the ingredients are fresher and of better quality. For instance, even when we were making our sauces, the scallions and cilantro were a rich green. At other places that offer all you can eat, they appear more yellow green. I also liked that it was a casual vibe in a clean and trendy environment, a rarity for hot pot places to strike that balance. All in all, I'd definitely come here again!

Yelp
My meal had elements that showed real thought. I had high hopes when I came here due to positive reviews. Additionally impressive, the staff showed genuine kindness and flexibility. Many different items have earned my approval. The entire meal was delicious.

Wenxuan H.

Yelp
I got to say this is the best coconut chicken around. Try it, you won't regret about this.

Yelp
Chi Chicken was so good! Had the fish maw broth, which comes with a veggie combo and chicken, and I actually drank all the soup. Usually I don't drink the broth because by the end of the meal, it's a bit fatty and scum from other things in there, but this still tasted good and healthy. It's possible it's because we didn't order as many of the a la carte items as we normal would (due to the prices being higher than the usual hot pot restaurant), but the quality was A+. The sauce/condiment bar was stocked and they had additional items, such as grapes, cantaloupe, those shrimp chips that puff up, and woodear fungus! The best part is they play EDM and Chinese pop music (if you like these genres) and are open til late, like 6am on weekends, which is insane, and I'm here for it cuz those late night munchies don't feed themselves. Probably wouldn't come here all the time though, and tbh, to be full, you're probably spending a decent amount. Still, I'd say it's worth it every so often with a few friends to hang out. Service was good, water was refilled and they refilled the sauces/condiments when they were low.

Yelp
This place gets busy! I recommend the chicken and coconut broth. Comes with plenty of vegetables. We were a table of four. I would recommend adding a few extra items. We added fish balls, beef tongue, udon noodles, soft tofu, and boneless chicken. Highly recommend adding the sauce bar, it's essential for the experience. Everything was delicious and it was plenty of food for four very hungry adults. The perfect place for a warm meal and good company. Great for groups!

Yelp
Amazing new chicken hotpot restaurant in LIC!! I've tried the Fish Maw and Pork Tripe Chicken broths, both of which have been amazing. Ambiance and service are both great, and chicken + other ingredients all super high quality. Definitely visit if you're in the area!!

Yelp
An overdue review I meant to write on this joint. Chi Chicken is a good hotpot addition to LIC neighborhood. It's nice and clean inside with good vibes. This place is crazy busy on weekends, so it's better to go on weekdays (if you can) which we did without long wait. Hotpot broth comes with veggie combo, a choice of meat & a choice of noodle/rice. We also ordered the Fish Ball w/ Salted Egg Filling, and Shrimp Paste from a la carte menu. I personally like the Coconut Chicken Broth a lot, so fragrant yet not too overwhelmed with coconut taste. The bouncy texture Shrimp Paste is a must try! Overall very pleasant experience and our server was informative and gave good advice. We will definitely be back again.

Yelp
BE AWARE: FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON THIS PLACE This place is filled with fake positive reviews on both Yelp and Google Maps because anyone who comes to this place knows they are a rip-off. We dropped almost 70 bucks on a hotpot for two and ended up with a meal that looked like it was meant for a kiddie menu. I went for the coconut chicken pot, and I could swear the coconut water wasn't the real deal (artificial flavor). Plus, the chicken? Super tiny bits and lots of bony pieces floating around . Seriously, it was the worst hotpot I've ever had. There are several hotpot places in LIC, in the words of Kalama Harris: DO NOT COME.
google avatar

Yelp
The beef is good; chicken hotpot is very authentic; veges are fresh; service is also nice; plenty of tables when we get there around 2pm on Saturday
google avatar

Tiffany F.

Yelp
Another amazing addition to the LIC dining scene! Healthy chicken hot pot that is unlike many of your typical hot pot options available in NYC (even in the U.S.). Chicken broth is rich, smooth, and tasty. You can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. We added the fish maw which mildly thickens the soup. At $98 for the fish maw chicken broth, it is a steep price but it does come with a generous portion of chicken and mushroom/vegetable platter. Other dishes are reasonably priced with good portions. Sauce bar is $2 per person. Soft opening ends Aug 10; 12% discount off total till then. Great service!! Would definitely return to try their other broths.
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
A huge surprise because I don't normally like boiled chicken... but this chicken soup base is so delicious I've been dreaming about it since I've had it. The chicken was so tender and we got the fish maw too, which was fresh and slightly sweet. Everything tasted good in this soup base. We ended up drinking a ton of the soup because it was so good. The portions are pretty big, especially the chicken. I personally also really liked the shrimp paste, you can taste the quality and freshness. Been thinking about going back already!
google avatar

Eve C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hot pot places in New York! I've tried the pork tripe and the fish maw broths and both are excellent!
google avatar

Jihyeon L.

Yelp
Their food was mediocre, and the portion sizes were too small for the price. There was an unnecessary amount of broth. I don't understand why the reviews are so good. I think other hotpot places are much better. It's simply the worst in terms of value for money.

Kevin T.

Yelp
Great atmosphere with friendly staff and good hygiene. Food was fresh and price is reasonable.
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
the mushroom broth was really rich and flavorful without being too salty or overpowering. the only odd part was that when we went, they only allowed you to order a combo option with chicken. We wanted to just order a la carte soup with beef, but this took a bit of back and forth for them to arrange. the service was a bit slow and it was clear the staff were inexperienced- we had to keep flagging down people for water refills or for the check. food wise- it was pretty good quality all around. the sides and sauces were plentiful and well organized. Because there's so much good asian food in the area, not sure i'd go back until the service is slightly improved.

Brad C.

Yelp
The coconut chicken was amazing and everything was fairly priced. The waiters also cook the chicken for you
google avatar

Yelp
Great food. Chicken is very soft and juicy. Just make sure you pick them up at the right time.

Yelp
Very good place and the food is delicious. Definitely will come back. It has very good hot pot and very healthy

Yelp
Extremely tasty hot pot with a great atmosphere! Would definitely recommend for a night out with friends and family

Courtney O.

Yelp
Food quality is A+. Service is excellent. Vibes are immaculate. The pork bone chicken broth soothes the soul. Great anytime time of the year but perfect for a cool/cold day!! Even helped with the claw machine.

Jason G.

Yelp
very good food love the service.Good place for celebration and events. Big space and nice smell

J. Z.

Yelp
Service is terrible. Do not recommend anyone come to this place with their dogs. The manager was very disrespectful and wanted our dog to go to the STORAGE ROOM like WTF. We asked in the beginning can we bring our dog and she said yes, but she started to KICKED US OUT AFTER the dish was ready. We communicated with her afterwards but she was very rude. Refused to apologize for the mean words she said to our dog, and made an excuse that she needed to take care of other customers, who actually did not pay any attention to our dog. WE ARE ALSO CUSTOMERS. WE DID NOT FEEL RESPECTED. Zero start if possible.

Yelp
Delishhhh chicken chicken chicken if you love chicken as much as I do go for it. I was on my way home from being out of town. I heard about this place. I said why not I was so in the mood for chicken who doesn't love chicken so I stopped in. Service is great. I'll be on excellent and the food was fresh fresh chicken I have every Fell off the bone. Go check it out.

Yelp
Amazing Hotpot place to go. Nice environment, service, and food. Recommended for friends or family to go.

Yelp
Very fresh coconut and chicken. Clean environment. Services are nice. Offers fresh fruit and snacks for free.

Yelp
First time here per recommendation of friends. The whole family really loved the hot pot. Would like to pass along high rating.

Tiffany N.

Yelp
The food was really high quality, although pricey, you can taste the difference. Definitely try!

Yelp
best food in LIC, must try, nice service. Recommend cocon chicken pot. The environment is good and chill

Yelp
From food to service it was an overall great experience for me not to mentioned my kids enjoyed the venue as well

Yelp
The best coconut chicken I've had in the US and everyone's so nice. I love the boneless chicken it's so tender.

Yelp
This place was incredibly delicious and the broth was so good. Really deep chicken flavors!
