"The popular U District Korean chicken spot Chi Mac has just opened its long-planned Eastside outpost at Factoria Village, its second location in the area. For those unfamiliar with the restaurant, the menu consists mostly of wings with a variety of glazes, ranging from gochujang to soy garlic or a Sichuan pepper option (among the best in the city), along with fried chicken dishes." - Gabe Guarente

"Chi Mac, a popular destination in the U District for sweet and spicy fried chicken, is expanding to a new location in Factoria, Bellevue. The restaurant, known for its variety of wing glazes including gochujang, soy garlic, and Sichuan pepper, will be taking over the former location of sandwich store Sacks in Factoria Village strip mall. The menu also features popcorn chicken, whole or half fried chicken, fries, corn cheese, and fried rice. Korean beers Hite, Cass, and Kloud are recommended to accompany the spicy menu, and a beer and soju 'tower' is available for those looking to get boozy." - Tim Forster

We ordered the Popcorn Chicken, Chili Jam Wings, and Kim-Cheese Fries. The popcorn chicken was tasty but they give you the sauce on the side and you have to drizzle it over top awkwardly. The wings were really good and so were the fries, I would eat them again anytime. The restaurant was empty when we went and the open sign was off so my husband had to peek in and ask if they were open. They don’t have heat so we were wearing full winter jackets and trying to eat chicken wings. Quite a funny site to see! Overall, the food was really good but it was expensive for the amount of food you are served. I would like to go again but I’m just not sure it’s worth the price.

I've eaten a lot of chicken wings in my time, and I very much enjoyed lunch here today. First - yes, it is a bit pricey for wings ($2/ea) but everywhere selling chicken wings have raised prices lately. I was a bit surprised to find they were breaded, but nonetheless the soy garlic sauce was delicious and the wings were cooked just right - done but still juicy. Popcorn chicken was good, although I wish the meat pieces were a bit larger since about 30% of it were just pieces of breading without meat. Buffalo dipping sauce was just Frank's Red Hot, and I would have liked if it was something more unique to their brand. Wait time after ordering was just fine, and items were served to me as they were ready which worked out well. I think the potato salad was just re-packaged rather than made in store, but was still good. Service at the counter was friendly and cheerful.

Four words: GET THE CHEESE CORN. You won’t regret it. Creamy, cheesy and heavenly goodness. It’s broiled corn with cheese and sauce. I also really appreciate that every-time we come here the chicken comes out piping hot and fresh. It’s juicy on the inside but crispy on the outside. I love the consistency.

Review in 2020: They are only open for lunch. Hours are short until they will secure a liquor license. Four stars. Updated in 2022: Unfortunately today’s visit was a disgrace to all Korean style chicken. Chicken is tiny, there’s barely any meat on their chicken. And the pricing is super high for what you get. Two stars for the crispy breading only. They’ve done a great job frying the chicken, now they just need to use higher quality chicken and increase their food portion. Pricing increase is real. 20 wings in 2020 was $26. 2022 price for 20 wings is $33. How much will it be in 2024?

I'll edit this review after they finally get their liquor license and I can try their beer, but as it is now, I'd give it four stars. Here's why! Food was okay. The highlight of their dishes we tried was Kim-Cheese Fries. They were super good and flavorful, and thankfully the kimchi wasn't too spicy!! Unfortunately, the fried chicken was just okay for me. We tried popcorn chicken (bland), Snow wings (the best one), and soy-garlic wings (a salty bomb). It was actually pretty busy, with people filling most of the tables and seats. This was at roughly 1PM on a Tuesday, so it's an understandable lunch rush. They just had one server (who was serving and cashiering and taking takeout orders) so ordering and getting our food was a little long (but again, understandable). In the end, it was slightly underwhelming. I would recommend that you go as early as you can, see if they have moo (pickled radish), and then order. You gotta have that refreshing and flavorful moo with the chicken.

Google
Friendly staff, good beer on tap! Got two 7 piece wings, Favorite flavor was Sichuan, tried the snow wings too! Corn cheese was delicious 😋 Clean restaurant, clean bathroom! I can't wait to go back!

Nothing special about this place. Super pricey and they make you share a table with others. I'd rather spend my money on KFC or Ezell's. Also, they don't let you mix wing flavors... What makes you so special that you can't toss two different flavors like Wingstop? I can't say I hated the food though. It was just nothing special.

Google
Don’t call yourself Korean fried chicken if you can’t carry Korean service. You screw up a simple order of one medium wings and one popcorn chicken. Then, telling me that you’d charge extra for an additional pack of pickled daicon when you pack just one for two orders is ridiculous. It’s sad that there’s no alternative to get decent Korean fried chicken in the Eastside. Next time I am craving for Korean fried chicken, I will just drive to Federal Way rather than giving you the business.

Yelp
Decent place to get KFC but it is closed right now due to a fire. The chicken is pretty good and I usually get the whole chicken and pick my own sauce - Korean and soy garlic are the 2 that I go with. I never ate in, only got take out, but they have a few tables inside. Hopefully they come back.

Yelp
Fresh, excellent fried chicken. Service was odd to have- it seemed like it would've made more sense to just pay up front and then get called for our food and then bus the trash ourselves, but it was fine. (Not much in the way of service coming around to check up on you or anything.) The place is alright, not the most comfortable seating with stiff metal chairs. Their AC was broken when we came (July 2023), but they had some fans going so it was okay. We sat at a high top and ordered honey butter fries (not on the physical menu) for the table. My friend ordered chicken tenders with a side of soy garlic sauce. To my dismay I would have to order 20 wings in order to get two flavors, so I ordered two sets of 7 instead. I picked dry rubs Sichuan peppercorn and snow ( parmesan onion). The fries were good! Was surprised to see that a honey butter was in fact a dry rub situation, but quite tasty. My friend enjoyed the tenders with the sauce way more because he felt previously it was a bit dry. (I sneaked a taste of the sauce...it was okay and a bit thin.) The wings were fried well. The flavors were..okay. I wasn't expecting both of them to be so sweet? The Sichuan peppercorn was too lightly spicy or numbing, and the parmesan onion was definitely too sweet. Also sad note, the drums vs flats ratio wasn't close to even. My "snow" flavor had 6 drums and 1 flat and sadly I am a flats person. But the chicken itself was delicious and incredibly juicy and the frying was excellent! Those crispy bits were yum. And the sizes of the wings were certainly more mutant than "organic" haha. I wouldn't say that the flavors were very Korean chicken (even their soy garlic), but they have nice fried chicken. Overall, pretty tasty place. The biggest disappointment was that they actually charged us twice for fries and we didn't notice until we left- once for fries and once again for "honey butter fries", despite us only getting one set of fries. That was an extra 7+tax+tip! I'd recommend making sure your receipt is correct before exiting the premises.

Yelp
The food here is freshly prepared. Every time we dine in, the chicken is piping hot and often we can't even eat right away. Our favorite is the naked. Perfectly seasoned with no extra sauce or dry rub. I prefer to dip my chicken in the sauces it comes with on the side. We often also go with the soy glazed chicken and it's very tasty. Perfect balance of sweet and salty. The radish here is one of my favorites. Crunchy, slightly sweet, tangy & tart. It's the perfect accompaniment to eat in between chicken if you have different flavors to clean your palate. We always order the 20 piece as we feel that is the best value. Leftovers reheat great in the air fryer. I've never had a problem or poor experience with staff. If I ask for something, I quickly get what I need. They often ask if everything is okay & then let me enjoy my food. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Smaly K.

Yelp
I'm going to increase to 4 stars. I recently tried again and it was much better than when I last tried. I first tried three years ago, and I think the place was kind of newer back then, but the chicken wasn't crispy at all. This time, it was much crispier, and I didn't have to put in the air fryer. I didn't get the Korean flavor this time because I remember not caring for it too much last time because I didn't find it spicy. I tried the Sichuan Pepper again, and also got the Soy Garlic and Snow. My favorite was between the Soy Garlic and Snow... but it may be the Snow. My second experience will definitely make me come back again soon.

Yelp
It brings me no pleasure to write this. I love the Seattle Chi Mac but I cannot say the same for this one. I came here for lunch on a Friday. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries, which somehow rang up to $30 and made me do a double take. More on that later. After ordering, they informed me that they were doing to-go orders only as they would be closing early today. Thanks for telling me that after I ordered and tipped already (not likely intentional, but still sloppy to not open with that). I did not see a sign on the door indicating that they would be closing early, and that they were doing to-go orders only. Otherwise, I wouldn't have walked in in the first place. This is not the first time they have had to close early. If they're going to be changing their hours so frequently, they need somewhere to publish that online and also need to put a sign on the door. I wanted a chicken sandwich and fries, and taking that to-go could completely change my decision, because fries will get soggy if left in a box for too long. This isn't something that should be said off-hand after the order is placed. That is information that needs to be known before even walking into the door. I checked the receipt, and their POS (piece of shit) POS (point of sale) double charged me for fries. It added $7 for the fries and then another $7 on top when they selected the style of fries, totaling $14 + tax + tip for fries. Thankfully they were able to refund the previous charge and check out again for the corrected price. They handled that part smoothly. The wait time for the chicken sandwich was 20 minutes, which the cashier did give me forewarning. I understand it takes time to fry fresh chicken, but it seems like every single other fried chicken place has this figured out. Ezell's and KFC have constantly rotating batches of fried chicken, so the chicken is still fresh but relatively fast. The fact that Chi Mac doesn't do this either means they don't have the process figured out, or they don't have enough traffic to warrant doing that. If Kentucky Fried Chicken can get enough people ordering their fried chicken, then Korean Fried Chicken should be able to match! But it seems, sadly not :( Wouldn't mind the wait as much if it was more of a sit down and order vibe. But to me, the inconsistency, price, and wait time do not justify eating here. The food itself was fine, but everything else drags it down.

Yelp
Another great chicken place. Someone got it for our party as to go and what made it memorable was the snow powder dip. So delicious and definitely one that will satisfy your chicken cravings.

Chris R.

Yelp
Great food, very good concept. Will come again. Not much more needs to be said. Thank you!

Marcy C.

Yelp
Definitely a good place is you love wings ! 10/10 even the cashier was a helpful guy, definitely a place to go hang out with your friends and talk.

Mindi M.

Yelp
At work craving chicken wings..... I know that Korean chicken places have some of the best fried chicken, so I hopped on Yelp to find one in my area. Chin Mac came up and the reviews were just soso. I decided to take a chance and so glad I did!! I called to ask a few questions and Tristan answered the phone. He was so helpful and gave great customer service!! We ordered the snow wings, chili jam and an order of fries. We loved it and will definitely be back! The snow wings were my favorite, so glad to have a good wing spot near work that has great customer service!!!

Erin H.

Yelp
Delicious chicken! Yes, it's pricier, but korean fried chicken is always more expensive. The flavor and crisp was on point, and exactly what I was looking for. We only did take out, but everything was still fresh and hot when we got it. This is not an every-night type of place, but I'll definitely return!

Sage M.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to stop by after work for dinner! Overall nice and clean restaurant with nice customer service. Food was great and tasted no different than other Chi Mac. Although, I did realize people who came after us got there food faster for to go. They also messed up our chicken order, but did give us the mistaken one and sent the originally one we requested over!

Ricky D.

Yelp
Chi Mac helped with with catering for my engagement party. Their customer service was unparalleled as they went above and beyond for my specific time related requests. Ely was extremely responsive and helpful. Also the food was delicious!

Josh K.

Yelp
Always enjoy the friendly faces at the front (Aaron and Marcus) whenever I go here. I love the snow and korean chicken wings so much that I have a bad habit of eating them before I can take a photo of them Definitely will come back for more!

Tim G.

Yelp
This once was the best chicken in Bellevue. I don't know if they switched owners or something but it went downhill fast. A real shame.

Long K.

Yelp
My never ending search for actual good soy garlic wings still continues. Been scouting out this place since it opened up on the Eastside (saving me a trip to U District). I was able to order via Uber seats and everything had come in the quoted time and accurately. The naked (plain) wings are decent. The snow wings are the BEST! Really a unique dry rub flavor that's salty enough to keep you coming back (this alone is a 5 star rating). The soy garlic was too soy heavy and unfortunately was disappointing (NY'ers and Cali people definitely are going to notice and judge). If you're a person that can devour a bunch of average sized wings, you're gonna eat up paying for them ultimately.

Austin D.

Yelp
This time I came back and they have a board in front with the opening hours. Our server was very nice. We always order snow wings and fried rice here. The wing tastes good as always but I just wish they are bigger. However, the fried rice is so much worse than the last time we went. $15 for a small portion that I can hardly find the pieces of sausages in. It used to have way more toppings so next time I won't order the fried rice anymore.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Yummy! The chicken is so yummy, extremely crispy and tasty. The service was very fast and the food was prepared quickly. Only gripe was that the tables were super dirty, we had to sit at the tables while we waited for our food So I can't imagine having to dine on dirty tables

Kelly S.

Yelp
"Did I just pay $30.80 for wings?" I thought to myself as I ordered takeout for the first time here. I'd forgotten how much wings were since it's not something I order often. I was thinking it was overpriced until I did the math at a couple of other places. I'll save you the details, but basically, Applebee's = $1.38/piece (yucky). Stone = $1.50/piece (my fave). Chi Mac = $1.40/piece. (Slight variations with size of orders.) When I picked it up, I ate a piece right away in my car to give it the best shot at maintaining its crispiness. I ordered the naked version (see pic) and the Sichuan. The naked, plain one was good. Really crispy and not salty. But lacking a little flavor. The Sichuan tasted like it was dusted with a spicy ramen powder. I wouldn't get it again. I've tried Chi Mac in Seattle and had the Korean gochujang base (as expected, nothing special) and the Thai chili (too sweet). I will stick with plain. I'm reserving the 5th star for "Pride Chicken" which they did not have. They say they run out of that a lot. Is "Pride" broken English for "fried?" The Korean language does not have a "f-sound" equivalent. It's replaced with either "p" or "h". Curious minds wanna know. Also, I'm withholding the 5th star because they didn't let me do half-n-half on a 20-piece order. At the Seattle one, they accommodate. Here, they charged me for 2 10-piece orders which added $2 to the order. All in all, no lines since I went at 1:30 on a Thursday afternoon so it was an easy trip and relatively satisfying. I will go again when I'm craving some crunchy wings since it's closer than Stone.

Jieming L.

Yelp
Fried chicken - Fluffy and light, just the right flavor on the Pride Chicken. 5 pieces are on the small side but the chicken tastes fresh and juicy. Mac - Very unique flavor with Kimchi in the creamy sauce. With the chicken, total cost with tax $30 Service - 15min wait on the cook time. Packaging is very careful and organized. Wish this would be a six piece box, to be shared with 2 people.

Yelp
If you're looking for a really good KBbq chicken fix, this place hits the spot! The sister and I decided on a sister Saturday night dinner and to follow the tradition we created back in Philly of getting Korean fried chicken from BBQ Chicken, we found this gem to carry on that tradition. We came here in the early evening and were able to get a table immediately, to order the kimchi Mac salad, Kim-cheese fries, and the Gochuchang wings. The Mac salad was brought out first. It was delicious, with a spicy kick. I do wish it was served a little later, perhaps with or after the wings to help balance out the spice. Next came the Kim-cheese fries, which were my favorite of the night. Think loaded fries, Korean style. The toppings were so flavorful and went well together, the spice and the cheese were a good balance. The fries were a smaller crinkle cut, and easy to eat. I must say, these fries are one of the best I've ever had. Lastly, the wings came, and I liked the flavor but the actual wing lacked a crisp factor I was expecting from Korean fried chicken. I think it could be due to the extra sauce on the wings. The sister said she came here last year and had the soy garlic wings and would order those again. Service was ok, with a little wait, but we didn't mind so much because the food was delicious! It was my first time here, and I loved the flavors. Overall, I'll go back and try the other wing flavors, or perhaps even for just the Kim-cheese fries! Happy eating!

Brian C.

Yelp
Chicken is good, but overall experience was meh. For some reason you cannot pick different flavors even if you buy a large portion. That forced me to buy two small orders of wings so I could sample two different flavors. Tried small orders of the Korean and Snow wings...both of which were tasty. Each small order was $12 for 7 wings. Not the best value but at least the wings were flavorful. The rest of my experience was just meh..service was lackluster, and the restaurant was empty at peak lunch time on a Saturday. Not sure if I'll be back.

Huong L.

Yelp
We been to the uw location and so wanted to check this place out since it's closer to home. The hours during this COVID-19 time is Soo limited which doesn't make sense to me since they probably would get decent business. Anyways, we ordered 2 medium size wings, and got the chili jam and sezchuan dry rub. They originally messed up my order and gave me the snow instead of the sezchuan but was able to fix it once I told them, but still took some time. Both wings were good, I especially like the dry rub ones as I never had a spicy dry rub on a chicken and it was delicious. The chili jam was basically Thai chili sauce so nothing really spectacular. Price wise they are on the pricier side, as it was $15 for 10 wings and they weren't big, it was the small size wings. If they could lower their price by a little, I would feel more justify coming here more often.

Lawrence L.

Yelp
I got a quick order of Chi mac via Doordash today. Man the chicken was delicious. I got the Sichuan Dry Rub wings. It's not a sticky mess eating but a burst of flavor with every bite. Tender and plump wing meat with a nicely balanced spice. It's not overwhelmingly spicy or salty at all. Really great. I got the medium order which was totally excessive - but in order to get the best price I needed a $12 minimum and an order of wings is $11. Sneaky...cheapest add on would have been sauce for $1.25, but as I alluded to above, I just wanted dry spiced wings. Can't wait to try the others!

Brian F.

Yelp
You can bet I'm excited that a Chi Mac opened up on the Eastside so I don't need to make the trip out to Seattle every time I have a craving. Their Factoria location is next to the T-Mobile buildings and located in a plaza with a lot of parking which is a lot better than their Seattle location. Here are their price breakdowns for wings: - Small ($10 for 7 wings) - Medium ($14 for 10 wings) - Large ($26 for 20 wings) - Extra Large ($55 for 45 wings) - Extra Extra Large ($110 for 100 wings) We ordered the snow wings, Korean wings, soy garlic wings, and the kim-cheese fries ($12). My friend said that the wings here aren't as crispy as the Seattle location. I don't remember how they were there but the ones here weren't bad. I think the snow wings tasted better here because there's a lot more powder. The kim-cheese fries were okay; they are crinkle cut fries with lots of BBQ sauce and not enough cheese for my liking. I think it would taste a lot better if they added shredded chicken on top. I think it's a bummer that this location (and the Seattle location) still do not serve beer which makes their restaurant name a bit disappointing. Hopefully they can get it soon (although the waiter we talked to said they just don't know when that's going to happen) but at least they still serve wings.

Dena F.

Yelp
Stopped by for wings to-go shortly after ChiMac opened in Factoria. I was really looking forward to their new location being closer to us, so highly anticipated this opening. Loved their signature sauce - the Korean. Wings were flavorful and crispy, even for the take out (wondered if they'd lose their crispiness but they didn't, maybe because I asked for the sauce on the side). The employees were all so nice. My wings took an especially long time to get, so they offered me any other sauces I wanted. I originally asked for the Chili Jam so added the Korean. Unfortunately they forgot to give me the Chili Jam sauce so didn't get to taste the one I originally asked for , but they surprised me and added a couple more sauces to my bag, including two which weren't on the menu, a solid authentic & delicious buffalo sauce, the garlic & a ranch. So maybe ask about all their sauce options when you order. Does ChiMac have a secret menu we didn't know about??? Yes, cost seems high for 6 wings, but they were good sized which helped. I decided to compare with the ones at a fried chicken chain drive through across the street, and ChiMac's had almost twice as much meat, plus they tasted SO much better. So felt better about the price after this Unfortunately they're still only open for lunch for now, at the Bellevue location, but will extend their hours and add draft beer at some point-hopefully soon!!

Tuan N.

Yelp
A great looking place, but looks can be deceiving. You get seated by the hostess when you enter unless you are doing takeout, and then you wait AND wait. I think it would just be a much better system if everyone just orders at the counter and then sit down since it didn't seem like the servers knew where to go. We even had a large group sit behind us get fed up from waiting and left before they even got to order. When we got a chance to order we were told you can't mix any flavor of the wings. So you telling me if I ordered 20 wings they can't be 10 one flavor and 10 another flavor? And they have a 100 wing option, prepared to be stuck with one flavor. We ended up ordering the wings naked then so we can get sauce on side, and they do charge for each sauce extra. The wings itself were pretty tasty with a nice crunch. The soy garlic sauce was a bit too sweet but the Chili sauce had a nice kick to it. Also, the food came out fairly fast compared to all that waiting earlier. Hopefully, they get their service and logistics in order... but it feels like they aren't ready to be open yet. I'll check back in a few months.

David J.

Yelp
This place is fine, just don't ever expect a refund, faster to do a chargeback for issues here. A tip, don't ever order through the Clover app or ever expect a refund for missing items, messed up orders, or unavailable items that you were charged for. Personally they've lost my business for good. I'm surprised this business is still operating, seeing the other messy customer service interactions. Impossible to get a refund if there is an issue and there is often an issue. Also store hours and availability always inaccurate in Clover. And no customer support for Clover. Still trying to get my refund because I placed an order on Clover, Chi Mac processed the order and "completed" it, but the store was apparently closed the entire time even before I placed the order. I went 10 minutes after I placed the order and the doors were shut and lights were off. This was at 8 pm. But it was apparently still open on Clover, even when I was physically there and saw the doors were closed and lights were off. Anyways it's been a pain trying to get a refund. Never order from here on Clover or on Clover in general. Also always check your order before you leave. Probably just going to wait for a chargeback from my credit card.

Yelp
I was craving fried chicken and decided Korean was the way to go - looking for something spicy and crispy. First, this location is pretty new (so new they don't have it listed on their website). It's in the QFC strip mall right in front of T-Mobile headquarters, which can be a hard place to find parking. Luckily I didn't struggle though the place was full when I walked in. It's definitely meant to be a fast lunch spot and was popping at 1:30pm on a Monday. The whole place is new so everything reflected that feeling very clean and modern. You have to be seated by a host and it also appeared they do lots of takeout. Service was fast, and the menu is crazy simple. Definitely do not come here for anything other than fried chicken or chicken wings, cause that's all they've got! That's okay though, and I came here mostly expecting that, but for sure there isn't a green vegetable in sight, haha. I went with the chicken and rice bowl, which is a layer of fried chicken with Korean hot sauce, over rice topped with mayo and cheese. It was only $9 and I wasn't able to finish my portion. Crazy good value for lunch in Bellevue! Out of curiosity I also ordered the corn cheese which was definitely a guilty pleasure. I mixed some in with my chicken bowl and that was money. There was a sign that said "beer", however I didn't see any ‍ maybe since they are new it's coming soon?

Yelp
Opened x 1 month, waiting for liquor license to serve before expanding to dinner hours. Not franchise, owner has this one and his original at UDistrict opened 3 years ago. Lunch hours 11-3p. Food-Simple menu. They do not mix and match wing flavors. Good flavors- I got the soy and garlic, and korean wings. No vegetables in sight expect the green onions. Service- nice, straight forward. No orders in front of me, 10 min wait for Togo order. Sad one of my orders was incorrect. Ambiance- Hip. Cool interior design with mix of textiles on the walls. Fun interior mural and music (this time it was Korean rap). Location- west corner of Factoria Village. Plenty of parking. Value- expensive $10 for 7 wings, but consistent quality Korean. The chicken bowl is a great value at $9. Half the bowl is breaded chicken breast popcorn. Recommend- yes, if you're looking good Korean wings and willing to pay for a higher price point.

Kayley T.

Yelp
They have a history of closing earlier than their website says. If they close at 9, project they will be closing at 8pm. I went online to their website and it let me place an order for a pickup time of 20 minutes. I placed an order and PAID it at 8:23pm, I show up at 8:38 and they are completely shut down. We were knocking on the door and I see the cooks running out the back and locking up. There is no way for me to get my order or my money back for the order they allowed me to make online. This is completely ridiculous and HORRIBLE customer service.

Elizabeth N.

Yelp
The food tasted great and the workers are so kind. When you walk in, you're greeted with the beautiful art on the walls and a lovely ambiance. The chicken is so flavorful and the corn cheese tastes just as wonderful. The manager is super sweet. Totally recommend.

Will D.

Yelp
Love the art and vibe of the atmosphere in the restaurant. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and flavorful. The manager is so nice and hospitable!

Elsie C.

Yelp
We came here on a late weekday for some last minute dinner - the hours do fluctuate a bit compared to what's written on their board and posted online, so make sure to check with the staff when you go in towards closing. The food was fresh and hot and the seasoning dependable. I especially appreciated the radish kimchi and finger gloves the provide with the chicken that made the experience a little bit less messy. Service was a little slow since there appeared to be one person working the store, but the workers were nice and definitely checked in a lot on water refills, etc.

Yelp
I stopped by here right when the restaurant opened at 5. There was no one else in the restaurant yet, but the cashier was taking a phone order. Since there was only one cashier, I had to wait a few minutes for her to wrap up the call. I ordered a large order of snow wings and medium order of the Korean wings. It took about 10 minutes for them to make my order, which wasn't long at all. The Korean wings had a sticky sauce and were a little spicy but not overwhelmingly so. The snow wings were sweet and salty. Both wings were well cooked and seasoned and probably some of the best wings I've had recently. I definitely want to try other flavors. I could definitely imagine there being a line and a long wait as it gets later into the dinner hour, so plan accordingly. The wings are a little pricy in my mind (I spent $48 for 30 wings), but were really tasty! For their prices, I was surprised you couldn't do a split order.

Yelp
TL;DR - Mediocre chicken. Insulting customer service. Missed part of takeout order. Didn't refund. Told me they have "bigger things to deal with." --- Long story... Ordered ahead for takeout through their website and picked up. Got home and found part of order missing. Called store directly and asked to refund the item as I didn't want to spend another 30 min driving back and forth. She said no problem and she'd pass it on to the manager to get it refunded. Almost a week later and nothing. So, I went into the store while I was in the area and asked about it. Same employee who was on the phone said only the owner could help, but had "bigger things to deal with." So they took my email and then threw it out in the trash after I walked out I guess, idk. How dare I think requesting a refund for something I paid for, but never received would be important. That'll teach me. So, if you've read this far, here's my recommendation: Go here if you like mediocre chicken and being insulted for requesting basic customer service. Yes, that's sarcasm. Don't go here. Ever. --- TL;DR - Mediocre chicken. Insulting customer service. Missed part of takeout order. Didn't refund. Told me they have "bigger things to deal with." --- For Koreans... Yelp
The staff here are sooo nice! This is a really clean restaurant with delish wings. I love the snow wings and their house fried rice. I've been here a couple times and all the times I've had a great experience. I would skip out on the corn cheese if you like sweeter, less mushy cheese! I think they add a lot of sauces to their corn cheese which makes it different from what I like!

Yelp
The chicken was bland. The batter didn't taste like it was seasoned and the meat wasn't brined or marinated. The red spicy sauce was good, which covered up the bland chicken. The potato salad was not Korean potato salad. It looked like it was store bought (think Costco). It's not bad, but definitely not worth what I was over charged (see pictures). The service was so-so. We were provided with a tiny tiny paper tray to eat out of. We asked for a larger tray, which they used to serve food on, but was told no. Made it hard to eat and not spill. They weren't very accommodating. When we paid, my wife noticed that we were over charged by $1 for the disappointed potato salad. When we pointed out that the PS is $6 on the menu and we were charged $7, the server said that they haven't updated their menu to the current price. I advised her that she should charge us the current price printed on the menu, to which she replied that it was updated on the menu at the door (it was not). It's only $1 so I just let them have it. Needless to say, I will be leaving negative reviews everywhere I can so customers check their bill BEFORE they pay since this place doesn't believe in honoring menu prices.

Yelp
Tl;dr super good Korean fried chicken at a slightly high price point I went to the university location for a while so I was super excited that they were expanding to a Bellevue location as well. I took some friends here so they could try the wings I loved so much. Coming in, it was a very similar vibe and experience. The walls have some fun location specific art and the menu and water bottles (jugs?? Idk what to call them) were all same with the addition of a chicken sandwich. The food was the same, still very good. The wings were nicely fried, juicy, well coated, and weren't too salty/over seasoned. Personally my favorites are the snow and Korean wings so definitely give them a try. Can't wait to come again!

Yelp
My aunt recommended this place and overall it was pretty tasty! I ordered the chicken bowl and was pleasantly surprised by how much chicken was included, we'll seasoned chunks of thigh meat over rice with cheese and mayo, on On the recommendation of our server I got the spicy sauce on the side so I can add as much or little as I wanted which made the dish. We also got some fries and my sister got the tenders. There were a few other things I wanted to try on the menu so I plan to be back. Great service as well

Yelp
Unfortunately it doesn't matter how good a place is when it's this over priced. $44 for 2 popcorn chickens & French fries is ridiculous (before tax/tip)! Typically popcorn chicken is like an appetizer too. Was the food good? The chicken was decently good, but it's not worth $45. It's just small pieces of fried chicken and we dumped hot sauce & ranch over it. And the fries were bland, def not worth $7?!? Also what we wanted to order they were out of... literally all 3 items. Unfortunately probably wouldn't come back. Too expensive for how little you get.

Yelp
It's just ok. The 1st time I got the tenders with 2 different dipping sauces, spicy Korean & soy garlic, neither of which were that great. The wait was almost 35 mins & we were the only people in there for lunch on a Saturday. 2nd time I opted for the snow wings. They were surprisingly sweet which I was not a fan of. I didn't realize there was possibly sugar in whatever it is they dust on their wings. We've also tried the corn - ew. Super sweet & threw away after each of us had a bite. Fries - good but they are just fries. Fried rice - had halved grape tomatoes in it which although I love, it is very odd to have that in fried rice. Potato salad - nothing special, similar to grocery store deli potato salad. Not sure we'll be back.

Yelp
I have now gone to order from this location three times during their listed hours and they're not open. Extremely frustrating

Yelp
Finally tried it out here for their wings- so good! We got soy garlic and sichuan peper flavors, very tender, juicy and flavorful! The wings are a bit small and I hope their portion is bigger so i can eat more ;)

Yelp
Super duper excited that Chi Mac is finally open here in Factoria!!! First of all, who doesn't love fried chicken? You're going to love Korean fried chicken, it's so crispy! There's 3 saucy & 3 dry flavors to choose from: Korean(spicy), soy garlic, chilli jam, snow, sichuan pepper, & naked. I personally am a dry fried chicken type of person during the day when I don't want to ruin my lipstick so the snow is a popular option. There's other entrees that involves chicken on the menu along with side dishes. Way better option than Bok a bok or Bon Chon, so happy there's a location closer to home. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

Yelp
The chicken is full of flavor. Tried couples flavors and the kiddos agreed on Korean spicy wings and the soy garlic wings. The pickled radish was a nice side to the rings but priced too expensive and too little. 2 little sauce cups only! I wish they off a full glove instead of a pair of plastic finger tips.

Yelp
Really wish there was a possibility to give 3.5 stars, but I'll go with 3 to be more conservative. I've heard many good things about the Chi Mac in U District, so when I was able to try the new Factoria location for lunch, I thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered takeout on a Friday for lunch right around noon. I ordered two small order of wings, one snow (parmesan onion), one soy garlic. For some reason, they don't let you mix two flavors into one order, which is why I ordered two smalls - I wanted to try both flavors. If I was able to pick two flavors in a single order, I would've just ordered one medium order, as two smalls was definitely too much for one person. I also ordered a side of fries too. Within 15 minutes, my food was ready to go. Starting with the snow wings, they were pretty good. They're liberally dusted with their snow seasoning, which contains parmesan, onion, powder, and sugar (amongst other seasonings). To my surprise, the sugar was the pronounced flavor, but I oddly enjoyed it a lot. The sweetness helps to counter the heaviness of the chicken itself. The soy garlic was also pretty good. It's a classic chicken wing sauce, delivering salty and sweet notes. The wings are also sprinkled with some crushed peanuts as garnish, just an fyi for those with peanut allergies. The wings were freshly fried as well, and they were crispy enough without it being too crunchy due to any liberal coating of flour prior to frying. The wings are pretty small though - it'll take 1-2 bites at most to clean one up. The fries were crinkle-cut, which I love, and they gave a lot of fries. Honestly, I could've been full with just the side order of fries - that's how much they give you. Nothing special in terms of taste or anything though. Though the chicken was good, I do think they are a bit overpriced. A small order of 7 wings costs $10, and fries cost $6. Given how small the wings were and how simple it is to fry wings, I would imagine a $7-$8 price range to be more appropriate for a small order. Since the store is doing only takeout orders, the tables and chains within were stacked on top of each other, so it's hard to comment on the actual dining experience. I did notice that there were several of bar tables that looked suitable for 8-10 people per table. That being said, I'd assume this place is pretty solid for large groups. It's a pretty casual place too from the look of it. It's located in the corner of the QFC plaza, so there's plenty of parking. I've never seen the parking lot be so crowded that parking was ever an issue. A good spot for korean fried chicken - no doubt. I just wish you could mix flavors in single order and that the prices were a bit lower.

Yelp
I tried to call several times to order for togo but they never answered the phone. So I was wondering they opened or not so I called to Seattle location and they said it is open from 11am to 2pm on Monday thru Saturday in Bellevue location. Finally I tried to order 7 soy garlic, 7 snow and 7 spicy wings. It was ready in 15mins and it tasted good but I couldn't find my favorite sauce among of them for me. Snow was sweet and soy garlic was salty and spicy was too spicy. Moreover it was not crispy at all. I think it wasn't crispy maybe because it was a togo. I will try another flavors next time. Hopefully it will be crispy when I eat it at the restaurant right away. I am wondering cause the staff said I can't order to mix flavors then only one flavors for 100 pieces? Wow it sounds too boring for wing party.

Yelp
Have eaten there 4 times now, 3 in store and once it was given to me by a friend, 2 out of the 3 times I have been in the store, I have not had a pleasant experience at all. My 2nd visit, the server was very rude and impatient, she threw the menu at my table as she was walking away, didn't hand it to me or anything, and as she took my order she even started walking away from me as I was still ordering, didn't wait for me to finish speaking or anything. My most recent visit I had a nearly 40 minute wait for 2 dishes and a side, multiple people had gotten their food before I had. The server was nice and explained to me that the kitchen had simply "not labeled" the food, but I do not appreciate our order being forgotten, allowing it to get cold and for extending our wait for such an unnecessary amount of time. The food is great and I have had one decent experience dining in, but my two recent experiences have really been unpleasant and unenjoyable.

Yelp
They just opened so they're still working out the kinks. Right now they're posting their hours on insta so follow them if you haven't yet! The times are very deceiving though. They had said they'd be open from 11a-3pm but when I got there at 2:45pm (racing from work) they were already fully closed. What they don't tell you is that the kitchen has a last call about an hour before their closing time. Korean chicken is EXPENSIVE!! For kimchi fries and 20 wings it cost me ~$40! I decided to go safe and get the soy ginger wings which was very tasty and even after it's cooled down, it was still good! I do wish they had a sampler platter set so that you can try a bunch of their sauces without going all in and broke. There's a parking lot but it's often full and the place itself is small and service can be slow. Definitely a place for a snack but things can add up quickly!
